Abra Hay: This branch is the worst in Springfield ten fold. Went up to drive up lane to get balances of both accounts because ATM had 3 patrons in line. Waited at drive up for 4 min and was treated like dirt. Im not looking for a lunch time conversation but geez you can be jovial towards customers. I will never be back to this branch it is worth the extra driving to go anywhere else! Learn some manners and remember to be courteous to your customers for they are the ones who are providing you with their business. Great Southern is not the only Bank in Springfield just remember that.

Kevin Eaton: If you strictly use their mobile app you wont have a problem...on the other hand if you need help and call the 1800 number to the solutions center expect snotty attitude and people who hate their jobs and hate assisting customers even more. If you go to the w kearney branch and you find yourself talking to Renee Wadlington dont just get up and leave but run!! This lady doesnt have a customer service bone in her body. Her idea is to point the blame on whoever or whatever instead of resolving the issue. She was so aggrivating i couldnt finish the dispute i initiated and had to walk away from her..her blame game was just too much. The customer service is why i switched to Bank of America and this lady just confirmed that I made the right decision!! Brandon the branch manager at this location however is truly an asset to this bank! He took my complaint seriously and if great southern is smart they will realize what a great manager he is. Move Brandon up and move Renee out!!

Eric Summerville: Loan departments is closed on the weekends. So, if you have a loan, the best time to handle it is during weekday business hours. Also, submission of your insurance shouldn't be so challenging. Emails bounce back, hard copy mailed in and they are still charging me for insurance. Apologetic customer service seems to be their specialty, If that's what you are looking for, then you found a bank home. Congrats to the others that have found them to be 5 star!Update. 4 years later! They have turned me into a big fan! Situations changes and we were set up with a great personal banker, who’s no long there. We have been fortunate to get to know them our branch and tested with respect.

Gracie was kind, compassionate, caring, and patient as we changed my sister’s Account information due to the death of her husband. Once she saw my power of attorney document she walked us through all the necessary changes with complete professionalism. We felt very comfortable in knowing that she knew what she was doing and did it with confidence. I have been in a couple of times since our initial experience with Gracie and she answered my questions and did not make me feel inadequate in my understanding but just showed me where I was confused. Pamela Walton: Went to this bank for a cash advance. When I entered the lobby the lady behind the desk didn't want to speak to me. I called this location before I went in so, I knew that they could do the cash advance because I have an account here. This was my first time at this location and I didn't know where to go, so the first person you see is supposed to be friendly and assist, but, she reluctantly did so. After I made it pass the lady at the front desk everyone else was very nice and helpful. If it matters my cash advance wasn't a small amount which is why I went inside. To the young lady sitting behind the desk, don't "judge a book by its cover." I guarantee I make more than you in my sleep, and I still treated you with more respect than you did me.

Maurice Senior: Worst bank in America. I was told I couldn't eve get change for a hundred there and the Arabic/Indian bank teller there on glenstone is rude everytime I go in.
Zachary Jones: Nothing like they use to be. Used to shake a man's hand and close a deal for a loan, now they hide behind there computers and let the computers make the decisions for them. Doesn't matter that I've banked with them for years and have had two auto loans thru them only for them to deny for what? Couldn't tell ya. The loan officer didn't even have the courtesy call me and had his secretary do it instead.

They closed the account even though there was money being paid in and then forced me to wait 3 days just for them to give me my money and even then I couldn't gets the funds directly. I had to wait for them to put it back into another account I had. Overall a very bad banking experience with them. They will use random account charges instead of sending an email to update information. They have to be told that a check from one account to another within their bank should receive fund immediately. All in all very unprofessional and zero regard for customer service.Update: central banks response to my review should tell you everything you need to know about them. They don't care about customer opinions as long as they get what they want and slow you down in the process. Very pitiful from a local business.

Kathy Teel: I called to ask some questions about my father's bank account and a recent possible scam he'd been the victim of. The customer service agent was rude, impatient, and sounded like she was annoyed by every question I asked. She interrupted me and spoke over me constantly. I literally asked her to show me some patience because I wasn't sure how to navigate the issues at hand, and she literally spoke over me as I was asking this. This has been my dad's bank for years, so I guess we will continue to do his business there, but I wasn't impressed by the customer service.

Jackie Bennett: Not sure which location Jay works at, but he is the loan officer that i spoke with about refinancing my auto loan. I have been a 1 year customer and have never made a late loan payment. I have worked very hard to get my credit score up above 700. He told me he could only get me down to a 8% loan because my credit score was 665. I couldnt believe that, so i called a different bank. They were very friendly and told me my credit score was 731!!! The new bank got me a nice 4% rate for an auto loan. I am in the process of transferring over my loan to the new bank. I am very disappointed with this bank and how the loan officer tried to trick me into a higher rate! Be careful trusting these people.... just wanted to let other people know. And Central Bank, please feel free to call me about this review. Your amazing loan officer Jay has my number, i will be looking forward to speaking with you about this.
Nichole Baker: This is the shadiest bank I’ve ever done business with, hands down. Their online banking is always down, the fraud department can’t be bothered to address fraudulent charges, and the customer service reps engage in ethically questionable behavior- including making unauthorized changes to our online account. This is by far the best great southern location in the area.

Shannon DeVries: I was really disappointed in this branch. It is located close to my work so I can make it there before they close (I couldn't believe they are open until 7 pm- positive score toward star rating). I went inside to talk to them about two letters I had received in the mail, and brought those letters with me. One letter said that my automatic withdrawals were being dropped, the other said welcome to the Great Southern family, they couldn't wait to serve my loan needs. I was confused about the conflicting statements and why my automatic withdrawals were being dropped. My car loan had been through Great Southern for 3 years, and I still had approximately a year left on my car loan. Either way, I wasn't expecting what would happen next. The man who met with me seemed to be annoyed by the fact that I was asking for help. I explained that my wallet had been stolen in October 2016, but I had changed all my checking information shortly after in November 2016, and Great Southern hadn't had any issues with taking money out of my new account until JULY 2017. Suddenly, over 7 months later, they are having problems with my account through another bank. (sounds fishy?? -when they could repossess my vehicle with just over $1000 left on my loans. Several friends said I should contact the BBB about this gut feeling I had in the first place). Needless to say I wasn't pleased, but casually mentioned that there must have been some mistake in the paperwork side on their part. The man refused to acknowledge that Great Southern was in any way at fault for this transaction issue. I even said, "well not your branch in particular, but somewhere there was a miscommunication," and again he argued with me and tried to put blame on me, but couldn't explain how this could happen that they correctly took money out of my new account for over 7 MONTHS, and nothing had changed during that time! How sad. I definitely wouldn't recommend this branch now in how I was treated. I am glad to say they AREN'T my bank and no longer service my loan!

Heather Edwards: I am not a Great Southern Customer but I was very pleased with how I was treated at this branch today. I drive all over Greene Co. for my work and I found myself needing to get 2 copies made but not having time to drive all the way back to my office. I stopped by my bank thinking I could pay for copies but was told it is their policy not to make copies even for account holders. So I left very frustrated and went across the street to Great Southern. They were very friendly and made me copies without hesitation. It's a tiny little branch but everyone was very kind and attentive while I was there.

Chris B.: TERRIBLE MANAGER STEER CLEAR OF THIS LOCATION - This branch has the worst manager here. They are rude and spoke to me with zero respect. Also, the blanket statement replies you see to any negative reviews are blatantly obvious it's either the manager themselves replying or someone that could care less to investigate these issues the branch has here with the manager. Words of advice to this manager, "I believe their name rhymes with, mess". If you don't like dealing with customers then steer clear of managing or getting on the phone or having any communication with us at all.
B: The WORST customer service I've ever experienced from the branch manager here at this location. Discriminatory behavior from the branch manager along with a super poor disposition that other branch employees confirm and are aware of regarding the branch manager here. Avoid this branch at all costs if you can. Bank of Missouri should investigate this and take appropriate action pertaining to this branches' manager or lack thereof. Very upsetting experience.

I keep having problems with this branch... my latest was I called and messaged on app to see about getting a document notarized... sure we can do that for you... drove 20 min o e way and the lady says " oh I cant notorize this"...Why not... said she dont know... well do I need some sort of special notary for it... she dont know... well where can I get it done... she dont know... left and call another branch and they say they don't understand why sunshine branch said that... I went to ups store and got it motorized no problem... so many issues with these people... sent money once to someone and it wouldn't go thru... declined declined declined... call bank and they say keep trying and if no luck call back tomorrow... next I know they sent almost $800 dollars to PayPal the charged me overdraft fees.... asked " have a good friend wants to sign a check over to me... can he endorse and give to me and I endorse and deposit in my account..." response " unfortunately we are unable to do that" that should be these people's moto !!! Be better off to just have a regular walmart or some other debit card... I have a long list of complaints... if you are considering using this bank my suggestion is ...DONT DO IT
Old Alex Cool: When this bank was still the bank of Bolivar I never had a single issue with it. Once they were bought by the Bank of Missouri and changed their name the service has been awful constant issues with needing new cards accounts locking for unknown reasons and now a fully automated call system that cannot answer any of my questions. Bank of Bolivar had a person available on a 24-hour call line for any questions I might have had Bank of Missouri has no such thing Bank of Missouri needs to learn they have to have a 24-hour human operated hotline. Not all of us have the same hours as a bank in our daily lives some of us work nights and can only make calls between midnight and 6:00 a.m. I am leaving this comment on the main branch locatio and hopes that Linda will actually start making some changes for the better. Thank you

Billy Hesik: Worse mortgage experience of my life. My mortgage specialist Lisa and her boss Annette didn’t do a good job of working efficiently on my loan and it took way longer than anticipated. My loan structure also changed 2 days before closing, Because they’re team failed to inform me of there errors. Ended up paying way more that we wanted!!!! I would never recommend them to anyone.

Erica Boan: This banks actual operating hours rarely matches what they post online. If you go inside they tell you to make an appointment. More than once they have messed up basic deposits and withdrawals through the drive thru. They have deposited or withdrew money from a business or personal account that was supposed to be done in the other account. I suspect they are closing this banking location because they told me to move my safety deposit box again. This is the second time they have asked me to do this as they closed the first location I was using. I am in the process of moving to another bank.
J R: Terrible branch that won't do anything and actually tells you to seek the other locations for your needs. Not sure why this one exists. Was told they cannot do anything but "account maintenance?" Go elsewhere. Hours of availability are also terrible, but every US Bank is that way now.
Rebecca Talley: US Bank as a corporation could care less about good customer service but this branch in particular is exceedingly unhelpful. I closed one of my three accounts (soon to be all three), but somehow it didn't get closed properly (according to the US Bank customer service rep Melanie). Seriously avoid US Bank as an organization and definitely use another branch (shouldn't be hard considering their lobby is closed without an appointment and the drive through is only open a whopping two hours a day during the week - no weekend hours) if you absolutely must use US Bank save yourself the headache and use a different branch.

Calen Born: This bank has always gone out of its way to provide a great place to run a business. The tellers are always pleasant and fast. The banker Maisha at this particular location is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, and anything we ran into we were not sure on, she did the leg work to get an immediate answer. I really enjoy coming in here.
Penny McClure: Awful customer service. Frequently shut off my card for "Fraud watch" without ever communicating it to me, no text call email or anything, leaving me stranded without money. Than when actual fraud happened on my account losing me several hundred dollars they essentially did nothing. Would not recommend. Unprofessional and would not trust them with your money.

When I responded "no" my debit card was deactivated naturally.so now I'm in the middle of a workday without much time and I need to have a new debit card made. I walk in and within five minutes I'm in Thomas is office and another five minutes after that I've got my new debit card. That was really quick! Thomas was a totally cool dudeand I wish I could remember the tellers name because she deserves to be mentioned for being so polite and getting me in there so fast. so thank you Thomas! Thank you teller! I wish I could remember your name but I really appreciate you! You made the negative experience of having an unauthorized $100 taken from my account into a really positive one for me. You made my day into a better day! I hope you both get raises! Cheers
Barbara Crow: Two women at this branch are ignorant to the fact that people on the phone could, and have health issues that cause them NOT to be able to speak really loud. I called this branch twice last week. Both times the women on the phone screamed 😡 at me that they could not hear me, and when I tried to explain why I could not talk loud, ( having trouble breathing), they still were loud.

It had to be cleared and all the bank stuff and her and Brandon helped us until almost 4:20 and never acted like they were bothered to stay late and help us. Once we found Bank Midwest, which became Academy Bank we have never had an issue! Jake Keck: Can’t get ahold of a single person there.
Jezzy Garbanzo: Many of the reviews indicate a need for improved Saturday service. Just curious why this hasn’t been addressed. I picked the location because it is close to my home. Unfortunately, it’s not close to my work. I went in this morning, Saturday, to access my bank box. I was told no one working this morning has codes to open the vault and I would have to return Monday - Friday during normal business hours. Here’s one more review to indicate a need for improved Saturday service. Incidentally, if I had needed a teller, I would’ve been fifth in line.

Daisy Chain: They wanted to charge me $7 to cash a check that was written by someone with an account at US BANK. So if you have an account there they will charge people money to cash checks you write to them. Total rip off! Plus to cash the check they wanted to PROFILE me asking me personal financial questions about where I work and such. Just to cash a check wrote out to me by one of their own customers. NO THANKS! I banked there years ago and the "hidden" fees are outrageous just to have an account!

Well what do you know....they no longer have tellers on Saturday! Why are you making it harder for your customers to bank with you? It just doesn't make any sense. Totally unacceptable.
Caity Dillard: EDIT TO ADD: They do not have any tellers in their stores on Saturday. I went to deposit a check of a large amount and was told they don’t deposit checks or do any cash transactions. Since it was such a large amount I couldn’t use the ATM machine or whatever it was. Just absolutely ridiculous. I am switching banks on Monday.2 stars because the people are friendly. But anytime I go through the drive through it takes soooo long. I have to make sure I go when I’m not in a rush because they take so long. And it’s not their fault- I’ve only ever seen 2 people working there. In fact one time I went to cash in some coins and they couldn’t do it because “there is only one person who knows how to operate the machine and they aren’t here today.” Every time I go to this location it makes me want to switch banks and I don’t want to go to the other locations because they are so far from my house. They really need to get more people in there.

Erin Roberts: I don’t bank here but tried to use their sketchy ATM since my bank isn’t in town. Their machine stole my debit card for “security reasons”. I had to call about 10 times over 2 days before I could get someone to answer the phone and they said they’ve shredded the card and there’s no way to get it back. Thanks for nothing.
J Fellers: US Bank is fast food banking now. Impersonal banking at it’s best, no tellers for deposits, lack of staff. Most branches not open on Sat. ATM out of paper to print, confusing on depositing checks- no explanations on how it works by scanning. Manager doing small talk over helping customers while customers wait.
J.R. Perkins: By far my least favorite place to visit in the US Bank system. I tolerate US Bank because years ago they were everywhere I traveled. Today, I checked and this branch said lobby open. I am driving right by there, so I planned to make my deposits there. I get there and they have no tellers. Nowhere on the website is it clear what services are available and not on a particular day. The people there certainly didn't care about it either, just like at most branches I've been too. Do yourself a favor and do not bank with US Bank unless you need their extensive branch network.

The bank manager is great and will actually speak with you over the phone incredible I know... Hey today I had the pleasure going through the drive-thru and Haley was my customer service rep and she not only made a deposit for me however she also walked me through the processes of my notifications all of this through the drive-thru incredible. You know if it were me I would throw a hundred bucks in a savings account here at US Bank have a direct deposit $25 a paycheck and that money is going to add up and then use it for vacation next year or use it for your Christmas money this year this way you can try it and see how you like it. I'm telling you I'm brilliant LOL.
