Esslie Davis: For business owners, this bank is a TERRIBLE option. They charge ridiculous fees, horrible interest rates, have terribly incompetent staff when it comes to setting up new accounts…we were being charged $50/mo in fees with literally zero service offered. They would turn off our card anytime we used it outside Springfield, expecting us to inform them prior to of any travel plans. Sorry, I’m not calling you every week with my travel itinerary. We tried for 5 years to work through things with them, even bringing up issues to the bank president, which were ignored. I hope people read these reviews before opening accounts, our new bank (Old Missouri) has 5 star reviews and has much better technology and customized service for our business needs.
Garoux: I've had issues with this bank over the years, but I am very impressed with the friendliness and customer service of this location.
Crystal Webb: Frequently do not have the equipment working if you need a debit card. The Loan officer I worked with was clueless and after being a 16 year customer it took 4 days and way to much effort to obtain a loan when your credit score is excellent, your putting in a significant amount of your own money the vehicle was worth more than you were paying and your income easily supported the loan. To say the least I was insulted and devalued and never got a real apology
James Mcdawell: The worse bank I have ever dealt with if you have fraud in there your account they hold it for 3+ weeks. Also takes forever for you to get your transfer.
Nichole Baker: We recently switched to Guaranty after a terrible experience with another local bank. It has been the absolute best customer service, hands down. I can walk in and out of a branch in less than 5 minutes (we bank at the Farmer’s Park location) and I feel like they all know my name. Even phone calls are pleasant. I’ve never waited more than a minute or two on hold. I highly recommend them!
Olivia: Exceptionally infuriated with the incompetent troglodytes at this establishment. Went to call a check for $350, and checked my account and few hours later only to see that $350 was missing from my account. I called and waited an unacceptable 25 minutes. After the 25 minutes, I was informed that they "entered it the wrong way". Seriously? I work two minimum wage jobs and go to school just to get by, and this is the excuse that I get? $350 is a lot of money. If I did anything that ignorant at my place of employment, I would be fired on the spot. I have NEVER had a positive experience with Guaranty, and I am looking for a new bank ASAP. I inform every person that I come into contact with to never every bank here. I wish I could give zero stars.

Michael Phillips: This Bank was previously SFC, where I was an extremely happy customer for about 15 years. Eventually it was purchased by Guaranty. There is a stark difference between the two, Guaranty is the corporate bank focused on profits, not customers. I hope someone considering opening an account or seeking a loan might reconsider and save themselves a lesson about doing business with shady banks. I had several accounts with this bank; personal, business and trusts as well as my home mortgage. They stole $6.14, from a trust set up as a free senior checking account, because of disability, not age. The charge was for "Lack of Activity" and "Mailing Statements". I wasn't notified of changes to policy, when I called their attitude was tough luck. They would have taken more but that was all that was in the account. If they'll steal 6 bucks from the disabled, they will steal from anyone given the opportunity.
Bekah Owens: This bank would not break my change because I am not a "customer". It is a poor policy to not exhange cash denominations simply because I do not have an account with this institution.
Garoux: Been using this bank for years, and it's normally fine if you don't have an issue. About a month ago, I had ordered something that a company never sent me. I went into to dispute the charge, and I explained to the clerk my situation. Another clerk/manager started filing paperwork without speaking to me directly. He then comes over with a form and just tells me to sign it. Due to the the fact we hadn't spoke, I repeated my situation to him and asked of he needed me to write down more information and not just my signature. He assured me that it would be fine; if they needed more they'd contact me.Suddenly that debit card is shut down, as I discovered when I tried to use it in public. I called to ask about it, and was told it was due to reported fraud. When I explained the situation, she emphasized that the paperwork *I filled out* said fraud. I corrected her that I signed the paperwork I was given for the situation I explained to two employees. I was told I can lose the credit for the product and try to dispute the file, which misses the point. So now I have to take time off of work to come in to deal with a problem made worse by lack of communication on Guaranty Bank's part. Not to mention the issues it caused with my bills.I don't appreciate being made to feel at fault for a failing on their part, nor being told that my only solution is missing work and losing my time/gas if I want a card before the end of the month. Every time I've had an issue (albeit seldom) with this bank, it goes much the same way.
Anxiousvariable: Unless you are desperate, I would try to find another bank.

Tripp Studios: I've always had good experiences with this bank until the issuing of the new Visa card I'm stuck out on the road on able to access any of my account anytime I call the number on the card they can say they can't help and I have to call the Springfield Bank and they just give me the number to call the card activation again. I've been trying to get ahold of the bank for the last 2 hours and all I get is a busy tone.
Stephanie Harper: There is no other bank in this city that is remotely equal in customer service. Many of the tellers know our names and even our kid. Cindy is by far the most amazing.

Shannon Alcorn: I went in to setup a new account and Chloe the assistant bank manager helped me. She was very nice and professional, explained everything perfectly. The other staff are very friendly and knowledgeable if you have questions don’t hesitate to ask. They also have the ability to make debit cards there so no waiting 7-10 days for it to arrive in your mailbox. I definitely recommend Central Bank and specifically the N Kansas location.

Central bank has great local in bank customer service, but the customer service at call center is horrible. They put a hold on my husband's paycheck because its out of state and the other bank has already contacted Central bank but they are still keeping a 7 day hold.
Genevieve Stokes: If you like waiting for 30+ minutes in drive through even though your only the second car back then this bank is the bank for you. Unfortunately my work banks through here and I have to go every day and every day it's the same. I'm sitting at drive through now writing this review waiting for one deposit and a small change order and I've been her for 40 min! Now they're telling me they can't even fill my change order! They can't give me a dollar in pennies. And do other workers not realize that the people in drive through can see them sitting around doing NOTHING through the glass. There's 4 employees and I'm the only car and it's taking this long!!!
travis wepfer: I am new to the bank and had a transitional hiccup that wasn't their fault. It was very stressful but the Manager, Gwen, helped me in a matter of minutes and made everything right for me. She even had to do it outside because I couldn't go in. All the staff at all the branches have been amazing to work with. Highly reccomend over my last two regional bank/credit unions. Oh, and their referral bonus is amazing!

Ms. RL Steele: I have been with Central Back since 2006 when it was still "Empire" Bank. I have always had good customer. Last month I worked with John in the loan department at the Sunshine & Glenstone location. John was a godsend. He helped me move my car payment from Wells Fargo to Central which saved me a full year of payments plus lowered my monthly bill $50.I'm very happy. 🙂
