Maurice Senior: Worst bank in America. I was told I couldn't eve get change for a hundred there and the Arabic/Indian bank teller there on glenstone is rude everytime I go in.
Zachary Jones: Nothing like they use to be. Used to shake a man's hand and close a deal for a loan, now they hide behind there computers and let the computers make the decisions for them. Doesn't matter that I've banked with them for years and have had two auto loans thru them only for them to deny for what? Couldn't tell ya. The loan officer didn't even have the courtesy call me and had his secretary do it instead.

Geoff Mccann: I had an account with them. They closed the account even though there was money being paid in and then forced me to wait 3 days just for them to give me my money and even then I couldn't gets the funds directly. I had to wait for them to put it back into another account I had. Overall a very bad banking experience with them. They will use random account charges instead of sending an email to update information. They have to be told that a check from one account to another within their bank should receive fund immediately. All in all very unprofessional and zero regard for customer service.Update: central banks response to my review should tell you everything you need to know about them. They don't care about customer opinions as long as they get what they want and slow you down in the process. Very pitiful from a local business.

Kathy Teel: I called to ask some questions about my father's bank account and a recent possible scam he'd been the victim of. The customer service agent was rude, impatient, and sounded like she was annoyed by every question I asked. She interrupted me and spoke over me constantly. I literally asked her to show me some patience because I wasn't sure how to navigate the issues at hand, and she literally spoke over me as I was asking this. This has been my dad's bank for years, so I guess we will continue to do his business there, but I wasn't impressed by the customer service.

Jackie Bennett: Not sure which location Jay works at, but he is the loan officer that i spoke with about refinancing my auto loan. I have been a 1 year customer and have never made a late loan payment. I have worked very hard to get my credit score up above 700. He told me he could only get me down to a 8% loan because my credit score was 665. I couldnt believe that, so i called a different bank. They were very friendly and told me my credit score was 731!!! The new bank got me a nice 4% rate for an auto loan. I am in the process of transferring over my loan to the new bank. I am very disappointed with this bank and how the loan officer tried to trick me into a higher rate! Be careful trusting these people.... just wanted to let other people know. And Central Bank, please feel free to call me about this review. Your amazing loan officer Jay has my number, i will be looking forward to speaking with you about this.
Nichole Baker: This is the shadiest bank I’ve ever done business with, hands down. Their online banking is always down, the fraud department can’t be bothered to address fraudulent charges, and the customer service reps engage in ethically questionable behavior- including making unauthorized changes to our online account. They have rude and dismissive representatives. We couldn’t close our account and move on fast enough.

The other staff are very friendly and knowledgeable if you have questions don’t hesitate to ask. They also have the ability to make debit cards there so no waiting 7-10 days for it to arrive in your mailbox. I definitely recommend Central Bank and specifically the N Kansas location.

Central bank has great local in bank customer service, but the customer service at call center is horrible. They put a hold on my husband's paycheck because its out of state and the other bank has already contacted Central bank but they are still keeping a 7 day hold.
Genevieve Stokes: If you like waiting for 30+ minutes in drive through even though your only the second car back then this bank is the bank for you. Unfortunately my work banks through here and I have to go every day and every day it's the same. I'm sitting at drive through now writing this review waiting for one deposit and a small change order and I've been her for 40 min! Now they're telling me they can't even fill my change order! They can't give me a dollar in pennies. And do other workers not realize that the people in drive through can see them sitting around doing NOTHING through the glass. There's 4 employees and I'm the only car and it's taking this long!!!
travis wepfer: I am new to the bank and had a transitional hiccup that wasn't their fault. It was very stressful but the Manager, Gwen, helped me in a matter of minutes and made everything right for me. She even had to do it outside because I couldn't go in. All the staff at all the branches have been amazing to work with. Highly reccomend over my last two regional bank/credit unions. Oh, and their referral bonus is amazing!

Last month I worked with John in the loan department at the Sunshine & Glenstone location. John was a godsend. He helped me move my car payment from Wells Fargo to Central which saved me a full year of payments plus lowered my monthly bill $50.I'm very happy. 🙂

Paige Phillips: Very disappointed with this bank. I switched to them and have only used them for about a month but more than likely won’t continue to use them. I went to deposit cash into the atm last week, it couldn’t read some of the bills so only gave me $9 back in ones. But $73 of it went unaccounted for. And instead of it depositing into my account or given back I’m assuming got stuck? So I filed a claim last week, hadn’t heard anything from anyone and decided to call and check this morning. The woman told me that apparently everything in the atm was counted correctly and there was no extra money in it. She also said that this isn’t the first she’s heard of this happening along with multiple fraudulent charges happening to people. This is extremely unfortunate because I have a toddler and another baby on the way and really need my money especially around Christmas time. And was basically told you’re out of luck. Wouldn’t recommend this bank to anyone. Especially people in the service industry like myself who have constant cash deposits and can’t always run into the bank. The atms are supposed to be convenient, not cause more harm and stress.

Darian Trimble: Since moving to Missouri and needing a local bank i chose to go with Central. Its been a bit bumpy in areas as far as the technology goes but the people at the S National location and the customer service line have been some of the nicest most helpful people ive ever dealth with when it comes to banking. This is my first bank experience as ive always used military credit unions prior to this and they have made the transition easy and always have been able to answer questions efficiently and easily. Very knowledgeable staff who are kind and actually care about their clients.

I have never been disappointed in their service, and in most cases they go above and beyond to help me with all banking needs. From personal loans, business loans, lines of credit, wires,,,,,I could go on for another paragraph. The staff where I do my banking is at Walnut Lawn and National. All of the staff are exemplary. Professional in ever regard. Terri Choate the Vice President at this branch is truly a model for the banking industry. All of those she supervises are just great. I must also give thanks to John Cunningham who made our PPP loan process much easier than expected. Thank you Central Bank for years of wonderful service.

Faith Patton: Online Banking is very misleading. I went to deposit a check and there was no sign that they will hold it for 5 days because I'm a new member. It says nothing about that in the packet I received with information on it and it says nothing online till after you deposit the check. I called they said there is no way to get the money sooner, and that if I clicked away from the deposit page the supposed information will be here. Now my utilities are going to be shut off... Yay new banking!!! I hate it here 😭

Eric Summerville: Loan departments is closed on the weekends. So, if you have a loan, the best time to handle it is during weekday business hours. Also, submission of your insurance shouldn't be so challenging. Emails bounce back, hard copy mailed in and they are still charging me for insurance. Apologetic customer service seems to be their specialty, If that's what you are looking for, then you found a bank home. Congrats to the others that have found them to be 5 star!Update. 4 years later! They have turned me into a big fan! Situations changes and we were set up with a great personal banker, who’s no long there. We have been fortunate to get to know them our branch and tested with respect.

Gracie was kind, compassionate, caring, and patient as we changed my sister’s Account information due to the death of her husband. Once she saw my power of attorney document she walked us through all the necessary changes with complete professionalism. We felt very comfortable in knowing that she knew what she was doing and did it with confidence. I have been in a couple of times since our initial experience with Gracie and she answered my questions and did not make me feel inadequate in my understanding but just showed me where I was confused. I would recommend this bank. I also have my personal account at another Central Bank location. However, if I need to speak to someone about my account, I will go talk to Gracie and so should you!

Pamela Walton: Went to this bank for a cash advance. When I entered the lobby the lady behind the desk didn't want to speak to me. I called this location before I went in so, I knew that they could do the cash advance because I have an account here. This was my first time at this location and I didn't know where to go, so the first person you see is supposed to be friendly and assist, but, she reluctantly did so. After I made it pass the lady at the front desk everyone else was very nice and helpful. If it matters my cash advance wasn't a small amount which is why I went inside. To the young lady sitting behind the desk, don't "judge a book by its cover." I guarantee I make more than you in my sleep, and I still treated you with more respect than you did me.

Sara Berry: Every transaction needs to be treated with respect. Just an fyi people can hear you clearly when you talk about them in the offices. Also telling people they can’t take pictures when they try to access the customer survey code from the sign in your lobby is just kind of rude and unnecessary. Everyone deserves respect. Whether or not you like the way they look. The gentlemen in the drive thru was very nice and very helpful however. His kindness and professionalism is a good example for some of his coworkers to follow.
Jeremie Bridges: We had a wonderful experience with the notary Emily McMellon. She was very helpful and kind. I highly recommend working with her.
Matt S: Can’t cash a check in the drive thru even at the window. What’s the point of drive up banking even then? Worthless.

Rkat: I've been banking with Central for a few years now, after moving from a small town up north. I'd been procrastinating about it, because this kind of stuff always seems to be such a hassle. Lisa not only reassured me about how easy the process was, but convinced me it would be fairly fast, as well. She wasn't wrong. I've made her my "go-to" person every time I find myself having to go to the bank. Everyone else has been awesome, also......but I always request Lisa. Thanks!

Logan Taylor: Tisha at this branch has been an absolute pleasure to work with. She goes out of her way to make sure you're taken care of. If you're gonna bank with Central Bank, I can't recommend this branch enough.
Ryan Harlan: I called to get a new account set up, and Tisha Radcliff got me squared away in no time! Excellent service.
Paden Olson: This is my go to bank! The staff is very friendly and they are very helpful if I have any questions or problems. One of the employees, Bethany, is always very kind and helpful. She is my go to banker when I need to do anything! 10/10 would definitely recommend banking at this bank!

If you're looking for a bank that is like family..this bank is the place to go. They remember my name and when I come through the drive through they always recognize me.

Tannis Staas: I switched to this bank because I thought it would be better than who I was banking with at the time. I've been banking with them for over 6 months now and have hated it they are constantly charging extra fees and I am constantly having to call them to fix the situation. The worst issue I've had with them is my card being declined somewhere for no reason. I absolutely hate having to deal with these situations, I would not recommend this bank to anyone.

Melanie Rogers: They are closed on Saturdays even the drive thru. The lady on the phone we talked to said that it's googles responsibility to change the hours not Central Banks responsibility. How would google know what the hours are without central bank telling them. 🤔

However, I have found Central Bank to be highly efficient but also a fun and personable place to bank. The tellers are all terrific and the officers know my name. That means a lot to me and I think its part of good customer service. Five stars for sure, I'd give 6 if that was an option.

Our Every Day I Do: Sheri Casper was a huge help and so patient! We had five kids come in with us and she kept them all busy coloring while taking care of our banking needs! This woman can do it all! We appreciate working with her so much!

And another thing!!!! The phone number on google?!?!?!? It should be the phone number to the respective store..... DUH!!!!!! You guys sure know how to keep the guests frustrated.

Trisha Marie: This seriously has to be one of the worst banks I've ever been to. Not only do you have a 10 minute wait or longer in the drive thru, but the tellers are incredibly rude. I used to bank at the Central Bank in Columbia, MO and it was like a million times better.

Darick Hemphill: I just called to ask for my balance on a commercial account. The teller asks me two questions what is the amount of a recent deposit. I tell her I do not handle the deposits, I just write the checks once a month on the account. I proceed to give her 6 months of transactions. THe next question is when did you open the account? I have been a customer for many years. I HAVE NO FREAKING IDEA WHEN I OPENED THE ACCOUNT. The teller then tells me that I can call back and try again. (Notice I have already waited a long time to get this call answered. I ask if she can just ask another question. Nope. Back of the line I go. Can I speak to a supervisor. Nope. None are available. I hang up and call back. This time the question is what is the check number that I will use next. That one is easy. I have the checkbook in my hand. It is a 5 digit number. I am told that I got it wrong. I have my bookkeeper pull my statement and what do you know? They have truncated my 5 digit number to 3 digits! Ask to speak to a supervisor. None available. Is there anyone at any of your branches that can talk to an upset customer? Only if they would recognize my voice over the phone. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BANK! STILL ON HOLD AFTER WRITING ALL THIS!

As a new, local, small business, and also members of this bank for 4 yrs now...to get the run around we received today was appalling. The lack of knowledge of how they run their business was probably the reason for the rude insinuations by the tellers on site at 2 different Central banks, as well as the supervisor on the phone.

Aaron P: I stopped by yesterday afternoon to exchange presorted quarters dimes nickels $30/15/6I was flat out refused the opportunity to exchange my currency. They said if I don’t have an account they cant exchange. Since when does a bank require an account deposit instead of exchange for legal tender? Seriously? I am disgusted with how this bank ( 2 representatives) flat out denied currency exchange. I actually had an account with them for 17 years. Never will i bank with this bank ever again after thIs incident. Seriously, I'm doing you a favor by giving my coins to help during this “shortage” and the central bank of ozark denied me. So i took my change to mid Missouri and no problem, no questions asked, just accepted with a smile and a thank you. Great people in republic.
