Kyra Fjell: Every single week, I go to this location to use the atm, and every week it's a new issue. The machine doesn't take money one week, next week it's down completely, the week after that, doesn't take checks. It's always something and its absolutely frustrating. Makes banking with them an absolute nightmare. This is the closest location to me, and the fact I have to go to a different one, an extra 20 minutes out of my way, just to use the atm, is crazy. Hopefully they fix it soon or else they'll lose business, because this has been going on for MONTHS.

LeAnne Pelzel: Absolutely worst branch. Avoid at all costs. I spent 10 minutes in the drive through and none of the cars ever moved. I don't know if they only have one teller or if their staff just doesn't care. I finally gave up after 10 minutes and left to drive across town to a branch that actually knows how to help their customers.

Shirley Ethridge: My husband had his debit card stolen and then used. The convenienceof same day retrieveal for a debit card is great! The staff for the most part is great. However, I do not feel at all, they take fraud seriously!We filed a police report and the bank can't tell us half the info we need! Such as time and store number nor location, that is what we were told.It takes a FULL 10 DAYS to even credit charges at all. When my husband ask what kind of procedure this was, they informed him this is like any other bank. Not true, I had my debit card stolen along with his, Capital one had credits back on the account within 2 days, and a full investigation. My son's prepaid company Rushcard already has his credits back within 2 days as well! My husband could not even shut his card off on the app, vs I could to help prevent any further spending.By the time he got in the bank at 9am several charges already occurred, where as mine stopped because I was able to cut mine off in my app until a bank rep was available for me at capital one. This is awful! The platform is dinosaur 1995! No features at ALL! My husband will be moving banks after this!Dually noted, they have a "toll free line" to call for missing/stolen cards. Seconds matter in situations like this. He did not have a number if he didn't have a card to call from on back! Whereas, I was able to open my banking app within seconds of realizing what was going on, and shut it off.NOW my options are banking taking reality that fraud exist and gives us in matter of seconds to stop it further , this is Capital One of course! Everything matters in situations like this, for our protection! Seconds, time everything. In no way am I endorsing any bank, however, an Arvest Rep proceeds to tell my husband this is just like all other Banks...REALLY!For the sake of 2019, security , and peace of mind get features that are not uncommon such as my son's prepaid bank Rushcard you can pause your card. However it is taken on for identity, do it! Set it up in the app, re-evaluate your "so called normal process like other Banks" Holidays are coming up, fraud/theft of debit cards are the highest, I feel sorry for the bankers that endure or become a victim, because Arvest will make them a victim too!I truly hope to see Arvest up their security features at the touch of a button. We need to trust you with the money we deposit/do banking with.

dustin hubbard: To whomever this may concern, that is if it's even that much of a concern at all, a good friend of mine use to work here, name is Mickayla Calhoun, awsum and hard worker, she had to miss work for abit due to having some health complications, she was fired cause of it which is down-right ridiculous, she is pregnant which played a big part of the health complications she was having, was trying to get back on her feet and whoever is responsible for not taking both her conditions and situation into consideration at all??? You really messed so much stuff up for her, badly, whoever you are? Extremely cold-hearted among other things, you shouldn't even be in that line of work
Jacob Randall: The place is mostly fine but I did walk in once and they had closed down before the official closing time.
William Moler: I deposit a paycheck in the ATM Thursday evening, it is now Monday and they tell me it will not be online till Tuesday. I feel that is ridiculous, I told them I need to buy insulin and other medicines and have no money for fuel to go to work and still they won't deposit my paycheck till Tuesday morning. You would think that they would make an extra effort to work with people when it's a paycheck not just a regular check, and it's not our fault there was a holiday on Friday. Where is the customer service for the customer?
Audrey Belden: I get paid by paper checks from work. I get paid on fridays. Friday was a holiday. I called Saturday to see if my check would clear by Monday. They said yes. Today is Monday. It’s not cleared. I call and they say no it won’t clear til Tuesday. It’s a freaking paycheck not a personal check it’s not going to be hot just give me my effin money.

Sea: My card got declined when it had money in it, usually this happens to question a previous transaction. I go to call customer service to see what's going on with my card. I've been on "hold" with no one answering for 40 min. TERRIBLE.

Paige Nichole: Customer service was bizarre. I’ve never been spoken to and basically degraded by a bank teller before. Don’t know the guys name or what his problem was, but there’s a way to explain things to people without being rude. I walked out feeling pitiful and like a degenerate or something for trying to get coin change with cash, when I have an account.
Sean Allread: Manager Kendra is super unhelpful. The rest of the staff seems more than happy to help with my financial endeavors but for some reason when I was put in touch with Kendra, she did zero listening. I told her I didn’t want a hard credit inquiry on my credit score, and she continued to ask me questions for a preapproval which led me to believe it wasn’t going to effect my score. Then at the end of her questioning I asked again to make sure that it wouldn’t be a hard credit check and she said yes it would, so I told her that we will hold off on it. And she sounded like I was the one wasting HER time.

Tim Hargett: This bank recently “misplaced” a deposited check that we made to our account. We were handed a deposited slip, but the next day we realized the money was not in our account. Bank location was unhelpful on what happened, and the customer service line said they would research it and get back to me in a couple of days. They refused to make any funds available, even though we had a proper deposit slip. This is unfortunately not the first time this bank has done this. I do not recommend banking with them.
Shavon Burton: I know longer bank with great southern but needed a cash advance while waiting on my replacement card for another bank not located here in Springfield. After being turned down by several other branches around town From both credit unions and other banks I stopped downtown to check if Great Southern would be able to help. Th branch manager was kind enough to listen to my institutes customer service rep explain what needed to happen and able to help me withdraw money from my card. The representative was very nice and professional and makes me question taking my business back to great southern going forward.

AandA Waldo: This branch is the worst that I have been to here in Springfield. We have gone in 3 times to close an account and each time the manager said that previously we didn't fill out and sign the paperwork! AND WE DID, with her!!! I dont' know how she became a manager to be honest. What should have only taken 5 minutes to do originally, has now taken almost an hour of our time to get done! When we got a little frustrated about the wait time since we weren't asking for her to anything too hard, she got an attitude with us! I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone at all.

Karley Montgomery: My husband and I went into this location on Saturday, August 24th to open a business account for our LLC. We were pointed towards their personal banker. The personal banker informed us we would need to provide required paperwork for the LCC (totally reasonable) when asked if I could email him the paperwork to be printed off because I didnt Have it with me, he told me no. He couldn’t help us. Conveniently it was around 12 on a Saturday, about the time he would be getting off work. We called our local great southern bank today who informed us they could retrieve all of our required documentation online and would have it ready for us to set up a business account this morning. Strange, right? I’ve been with great southern for many years, and very disappointed the services we received at this branch.

Daniel Talbert: When I pulled up to the drive thru I was the only car there and there was four people inside working and I waited for over 15 minutes in the drive thru and nobody helped for 15 mins
Kayla Craft: I have had so so so many issues with this bank. Not only is their customer service awful. I have had to call them multiple times to do one simple task yet they still do it wrong. Save yourself the time and frustration and bank somewhere else.
Robert DelMar: Nice people, but keep religious beliefs out of the lobby. No reason to have a bible setting on the coffee table with the rest of the reading material unless you include all the other religions like Islam, LDS, Hinduism, and all the other 4000+ religions. Christianity isn't recognized as the United States religion, so be respectful of those who don't practice it.

Angi Whit: I have a safe deposit box and account with this branch and they've been nothing but lovely towards me. Very helpful staff, nice, always greets my family, and always offers my kids candy. They move as fast as they can to get me into the safe box and are never present when I do my thing, aka they're not nosey!! I suggest this branch to everyone since they're the best location available.

Brittany Gann: Extremely slow service and rude works AND on three separate occasions I have received a $5 bill that has been confterfit. $15 wasted because as soon as I pointed it out they accused me of switching it out. Who would try to steal FIVE DOLLARS from a bank that surely has thousands inside. They need better more friendly workers that check money before handing it out.

Kendell Holdren: Kaitlyn was beyond helpful and so kind. After having a bad experience with the other location she assured me it was taken care of. I am beyond thankful for how supportive she was and that she took the time out of her day to help me. She made me feel like she truly cared about me as a customer. This is by far the best great southern location in the area.

Shannon DeVries: I was really disappointed in this branch. It is located close to my work so I can make it there before they close (I couldn't believe they are open until 7 pm- positive score toward star rating). I went inside to talk to them about two letters I had received in the mail, and brought those letters with me. One letter said that my automatic withdrawals were being dropped, the other said welcome to the Great Southern family, they couldn't wait to serve my loan needs. I was confused about the conflicting statements and why my automatic withdrawals were being dropped. My car loan had been through Great Southern for 3 years, and I still had approximately a year left on my car loan. Either way, I wasn't expecting what would happen next. The man who met with me seemed to be annoyed by the fact that I was asking for help. I explained that my wallet had been stolen in October 2016, but I had changed all my checking information shortly after in November 2016, and Great Southern hadn't had any issues with taking money out of my new account until JULY 2017. Suddenly, over 7 months later, they are having problems with my account through another bank. (sounds fishy?? -when they could repossess my vehicle with just over $1000 left on my loans. Several friends said I should contact the BBB about this gut feeling I had in the first place). Needless to say I wasn't pleased, but casually mentioned that there must have been some mistake in the paperwork side on their part. The man refused to acknowledge that Great Southern was in any way at fault for this transaction issue. I even said, "well not your branch in particular, but somewhere there was a miscommunication," and again he argued with me and tried to put blame on me, but couldn't explain how this could happen that they correctly took money out of my new account for over 7 MONTHS, and nothing had changed during that time! How sad. I definitely wouldn't recommend this branch now in how I was treated. I am glad to say they AREN'T my bank and no longer service my loan!

Heather Edwards: I am not a Great Southern Customer but I was very pleased with how I was treated at this branch today. I drive all over Greene Co. for my work and I found myself needing to get 2 copies made but not having time to drive all the way back to my office. I stopped by my bank thinking I could pay for copies but was told it is their policy not to make copies even for account holders. So I left very frustrated and went across the street to Great Southern. They were very friendly and made me copies without hesitation. It's a tiny little branch but everyone was very kind and attentive while I was there.
