Daytona Bulger: Their website says that safety is a top priority. But it stops with those words. On their website, they have a picture that shows recalled items on their sale floor. When I was in their store selling items recently, they had other recalled items on their sale floor. Both the items I saw in person and in their picture have been recalled for infant deaths, so not a recall to take lightly.As far shopping there, I found items I liked, but not at a price I would be willing to pay. Everything was overpriced. I could get similar prices on brand new items if I shopped the sales in department stores.As far as selling with them, I felt the same way other reviewers have felt—taken advantage of. I attempted to sell with them three times in a period of about one week (because of their one box limit). The first time I sold with them, I was offered 25% of retail value for a dress that was new with tags. The second time I sold with them, I took in more of that same dress (various colors and sizes, still new with tags). I inquired when arrived about the price the dress would be sold at and was told it would be the same offer I had received two days prior. They even explained how they make their offer on new with tag items (offering 25% of its retail value). They changed their mind while I was there and only offered 10% of retail value, telling me they re-evaluate their offer when there are lots of the same item. I declined their “generous” offer. The third and last time I tried selling with them, my husband took my items in, which included a new with tags athletic boys shirt, with Buzz Lightyear on it. This time they only offered 6% of it’s retail value. (It’s not like Buzz is outdated right now or that the shirt was out of style.) Declining their offer on the new shirt, we made less than $2 on a tub’s worth of clothes. Selling a tub’s worth of clothes at Once Upon a Child gets me at least $50. Selling at Just Between Friends gets me more than that. We will not be returning to sell with them.When telling my friends about my experience, they said they’d had similar experiences there as well and choose to take their business elsewhere.
Savannah Keeth: Dropped off a big tote of nice name brand girls athletic clothes (Nike,under armor,champion,boutique clothes) and shoes. I Was only given the option for drop off or I would have rather been there while they went through my stuff. Received some of my stuff back and I was very irritated to find they only took half of multiple sets. So I’m stuck with only a shirt or pants of each Nike/under armor set, would have much rather they just give the WHOLE set back. Also, feel like I should have atleast received an itemized statement of what they actually bought because I definitely feel taken advantage of. 100% don’t recommend selling clothes here unless you are basically willing to give them away blindly . I guess I should have known better.

Rachel Schuler: Very confused on the buying process. Called today and asked if they were buying and she said yes, I explain that I’ve never sold before and how the process worked and she said to just come on in and that they’ll go through it. Was there within 30mins and then was told that it’s a 2-3 week drop off, a long wait in store, or that I could schedule an appointment. I asked what time they stopped buying and she said 3:30. I asked when I could make a same day appointment and she said 4. Very confused and won’t be selling clothes here. Lol.
Alexis Warren: We dropped off a basket of clothes for them to go through and they told us about 20 days to go through it. A bit ridiculous, but whatever. So my husband goes up there to get our clothes back and money for what they took. They offered us $3. He asked what they took from us for $3 and they couldn’t tell him. So they didn’t even give us a chance to accept or deny their offer for $3 and wouldn’t even tell us what they STOLE. I had nice clothes, and boutique items in the basket. They even tried telling him some of the stuff they didn’t take was because it had holes in it. NONE of my stuff had holes. Everything I put in that basket was in almost perfect condition. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND SELLING YOUR CLOTHES TO THEM!!!!

I’m going to a used kid store obviously have a kid had to go to the bathroom the doors are locked okay ask for a key minor inconvenience however most inconveniences are a large thing when potty my toddler. Second most of the clothes there are very worn so I was happy when I found two toddler dresses that I loved that aren’t worn, I don’t care about some Matilda Jane dress that looks like it’s falling apart, I want gently used clothes and when half the negative reviews are about you not taking gently used clothes kinda upsets me. Well when I got home realized that one had a rip in it so all that for nothing. Not to mention they are bagless. So that means you have to hold your clothes and upset toddler. Super inconvenient especially since I’m all about bagless( just didn’t expect it) it’s not posted anywhere to bring your own bags I’ve been shopping at various once upon a child’s throughout different states on multiple mailing lists however it is not posted (if it is not clearly enough to see) at least even at aldis if I forget a bag I can buy one. But most of the time I know to take my bags to Aldi’s.

The time it takes for the buyback counter is extreme. Other places a few hours is the most it takes but I've tried three times, the first it took a day and a half, the second they had so many orders they weren't taking any buy backs, the third, after waiting six hours I was still 14 orders away from my clothes even looked at.After driving 2 hours to sell my clothes I was quite disappointed that I didn't even have the chance to sell my clothes.

Emilie Dodge (Happy Cow Chair): I have tried to sell clothes here a handful of times, they keep giving me back a majority of the clothes saying they are too worn, out of style, etc. I have Child of Mine brand (never been worn onesies), motherhood maternity, Fischer price brand clothes, childrens place, etc.Some of the clothes have never been worn, others looked brand new and were from the summer. I have had them give back clothes with tags still on them.I have been a loyal customer for 3 years but am done.There are clothes on the floor with holes in them, peeling, and falling to pieces. Yet my new/very lightly used with no stain or holes clothes are not good enough. I go through the clothes and make sure they are in great condition.There have been times I’ve showed them toys from the sales floor that were broken. They said they would take care of them and then I watched them put them back on the floor still broken, just in a way that tries to hide it’s broken.Same with the clothes.I’m done shopping there which is sad. I used to tell all my friends and got many of them to shop here. I will no longer be raving about the store.

They also would not agree to discount the price by $1 so I would not have to make a return trip. Was a huge inconvenience and they've definitely lost a repeat customer for not being willing to help me out on what is clearly a bad day. Granted, I would not expect a retailer to have the ability to reduce a price by $1, but these places basically pick a number out of thin air anyway, so they can change pricing at will. They didn't even bother explaining or apologizing for their draconian policy when I came back.ETA: Before they come in with the "computer generated pricing" canned response they've given to others, it's worth noting that the item I purchased is literally older than I am (it's from the early 80s and is not for sale anywhere online, so I'd love to know how their computer generated a supposedly inflexible price for the item.)

Lachell Hansen: I thought this place was great since the first time I came in just kept bringing clothes all the time id have them all folded and nice and they wouldn't take alot of my clothes and i told them I needed as much as I could because i need clothes for my kids so i wanna change them to store credit well i sent my husband to pick them up and I sent a box of clothes and a basket with shoes and toys well all I get is my box of clothes back not my basket that I had stuff in that I was expecting to get back which I didn't and then i told them store credit and they just give my husband cash.. Amd my clothes just all thrown in the box instead of folded like i had them. I thought this place was great but the way the staff have been treating people is just sad I thought better of this place thought they would try and help a family out for some clothes.

Ashley Apel: Super fun store! When you buy something, they put jellybeans in the bag! prices are a big up there, but they have things other stores don't...so it's worth it. They do registries, free gift wrapping, and are super helpful. Only downside is that there isn't a lot for boys, but that's everywhere really.

Shannon Conover: I don't go to the mall often, but when I do, I always stop to check The Childrens Place. This store is always well organized, the employees provide decent customer service, and I always leave happy.
Melissa Fann: Do not purchase from this place. Tried to exchange a pair of jeans but because I don’t have a receipt they won’t. Along with a purchase of 150 in clothes that were delivered absolutely nothing was done so now I’m stuck with pants to small and a charge of 150 with no clothes. This place is just getting worse as the years go on.
Melissa Jackson: If I could give this poorly run nightmare a negative 10 in stars it still would not be enough. I paid for a egift card on December 21 to take advantage of the stores offers to earn an extra reward card of $20 per $100 spent. They also had 2x the children's cash and 3x the points when you shoped through December 25th. Not only did the egift card not work the company refused to give me my money back or honor any of the deals. I missed out on all the shopping and just got my $100 back yesterday January 12th. There are no sales and all the winter clothes are gone. They need to be shut down. This place is a nightmare I found cheaper better clothes at walmart, Target, and Old Navy. Even Dillards had better deals. I will never shop here again

Britt Stokes: I bought 3 pairs of bootcut jeans, all size 8. Out of the 3 only 1 did not fit my daughter. I had the tag & receipt so I brought in to exchange for another pair of the same size. Tasha, the manager, was the most unpleasant person I have ever dealt with. Because I just needed to exchange for the same size, she wouldn’t do it. I either had to purchase a size 10 or return the jeans. I even called their corporate number & they said the same thing. I guess they make every pair ‘perfectly’ sized & us parents are dumb & liars. They just lost a customer but I guess that doesn’t really matter anymore in today’s society.

It seemed like she was so eager to go back to whatever idle mobile phone activity she was engaging in, that actually doing her job wasn't important to her at all.This was my first time making contact with this store in any way, and after this experience, I most assuredly will not attempt a second time.I am now not surprised at all about this store only having 2 stars! :(
Krystal Worl: I have relied on Children's Place online sales for years. I love their selections and really try to keep close watch for the cute matching options for siblings. My girls enjoy their wardrobe which is primarily from this company. Today was the biggest disappointment from their customer service. First of all I was buying a couple shirts, and 3 pairs of boots for a special event this weekend. I chose the boots through Children's Place because they had the sizes I needed and they matched. Went ahead and paid for Express shipping. Evidently while pulling my order together 1 key pair of boots was either unavailable or they forgot to put it in so it was immediately canceled. My bank account was already deducted the full amount for my original order. I only get notified that 1 item was canceled by reading the tiny tiny fine print after noticing the order amount was different.I called to see if they can ship this pair of boots or track to a store near me. Not willing to do that. Had I known that item wasn't available I would have canceled the whole order. It is already shipped. I have to wait approx 7 days to see the adjustment in my bank charge, but they claim it isn't charged to me this is only a hold. The payment was processed. It was charged. Dont try to play with terms to make it sound less inconvenient. I was only offered 50% off to reorder that pair of boots again but would still pay full Express shipping. That amounts to an $8 discount but would have to pay $20 to ship. I asked if it can be sent to the store. "Uoohhh sorry for the inconvenience but we can't do that. But I can give you $10 for your next order." I don't want another order. All these things you are offering are in bright red blocks on the website offered to everyone. It isn't a resolution. I want to return my current in transit order. NOPE you can return by mail just pay shipping or to store for STORE CREDIT. WHAT ABOUT THE $20 SHIPPING? What if I dont want store credit and want my cash? What about the $15 in coupon credits I wasted? I'm going to Target getting my matching boots, and selling this order on a resale page. I'm never buying Children's Place again. Only way to make this right is to send the boots I wanted and reimburse me for the shipping since the entire order will be useless and I have to go to another store to buy what i wanted. I'll pay the other store full price just to be done with this experience.

She was very patient and understanding. I enjoy shopping here! They have great quality clothing and they are cheaper than other stores in most cases!

It was a fantastic shopping experience.The entire store was clean and the Associates were still cheerful as closing time was near.I didn't need assistance but I did notice a lack of Associates available throughout the store. I feel uncomfortable when people keep asking if I need help.Overall, a great store with some nice prices, and everything was of valuable quality.
Joni Davis: One of my favorite stores. Pricing is one of the best pros but sometimes the toddler/small boys clothing is very limited and picked over.

Me and my kids went in there and my son found something he would like to buy . he started to pay for it and the cashier started to count his cash .when I asked her if he had enough money , she was very rude and told me to hold on while she counted it . there was only $3 left to count.he had enough already but she kept counting. I said you don't need to be rude ! just tell me if he has enough money ! then she decided she was going to call security. I told her to give us his money so we could go . Burlington, Maybe you should try hiring cashiers that are polite or discipline the ones who are rude to your customers! Dark headed Latino girl. Didn't catch her name.
