Allutia Miller: I brought in a very flat tire. I was meant by a worker in the parking lot who asked how he could help and showed me where to go. He was kind, smart, and helpful. The manager at the desk took my information and ordered a tire for me right there. He said it would be ready that afternoon. They called me when it was ready. After work I picked it up. It was affordable, and the guys were friendly. I was in nice work clothes and a man asked to carry the tire to my ride waiting in the parking lot. Awesome service! TCAN: Brought them my 2011 BMW 328i along with a performance muffler I purchased outside of the store. Kelly Bailey: Two of my tires were going flat. They were able to get me in, show me what was wrong and order me new tire that same day. Since it would be a few hours before the tires would be delivered they made sure I was good and safe to drive and even told me to call for help if I had trouble getting back. Tires show up on time and they got them changed and even did my oil change. Everyone there was super kind and helpful. John Wiley: I came in to a filthy store, and the guy who acted in charge greeted me with absolute distaste (sorry you have to do your job), then became condescending. Upon looking my car over, there were a few problems they addressed, but the most concerning was he insisted that the last shop to put my back tires on, put lugs too tight, warping back rotors. All laughs til it hit me, and I said out loud, that Midas was the last shop to put them back on. 2 stars, as what I could afford to fix, they did so correctly. Whomever let this snide, unclean, and very unprofessional man even deal with the public, should probably not be in the hiring process. I have an older car that was neglected, needs a ton of expensive work done (Hyundai), and Midas pushed me to their competition. 🙄🤷♂️

Jonathan: These guys are really awesome to work with. I won't go into details but I'll say they had their hands full, they were backed up because somebody had quit. Now here they were: a person short while they simultaneously were dealing with some craziness concerning the ownership side of the business. Que myself right in the middle of all that. It wasn't an emergency. We needed a spare tire for a trailer and because it was an odd tire size, they didn't have it on location.Despite the difficult circumstances, the staff was dealing with, they were truly professional and had the replacement tire mounted and ready for pick-up the same day! Contrary to what I said I was going to do, things got crazy for me and I didn't pick it up until the next week (I said I would be there later that day or the following day). If it had been a rush job, we would've been back on the road the same day. These people are professionals, they know what they're doing and they'll give you an honest price for punctual work. I'm definitely bringing my personal vehicle there because I need some tire work done and they've proven to be the place to go!

Everything is up front--you get a quote on the services, and you can sign off on only the ones you want. You also get a free inspection with every visit, and this is a great way to stay up-to-date with needed maintenance. For example, this time CA told me I'd be needing a new battery soon. Everyone is very friendly. The waiting area is clean and pleasant, with free coffee and sodas and snacks. Dalek Nation: BEWARE!!! Nicest guys you'll ever meet... sure they'll charge you $200 labor to set a $60 battery in an old truck, but they're super nice and professional about it. EDIT: in all they charged $600 for a battery and oil change. Gave me a $1600 list of repairs needed for inspection; OVER HALF OF THE THINGS we're not needed (nothing wrong with tail lights is one example). SHADY!! 2ND EDIT: '92 Ford Ranger. Yes, I was there. Want me to elaborate? You wanted $1600 for inspection. $300 for a tire that past inspection elsewhere. $200 for taillights, which were 100% fine. I mean, the list you gave me was laughed at by next place I took it to. Call you to talk about it? No, I'm never giving another moment of time to you (seriously though, you have no record of me using your business? Nice try. Get a lot of '92 Ford Rangers in a week?)

Samuel Perkins: I took my car this because it threw a timing belt. First off the head needed rebuilt. They told me it’s un fixable and their machine shop couldn’t fix it. So we had to take it to another machine shop and they fixed it perfectly fine no complaints. So we then took it back to all pro to re assemble and time and get running good again. They ended up timing it way off. It ran 20 degrees hot afterwards. I poured a bunch of knew parts in it only to figure out they timed it wrong. Never using this shop again and definitely don’t recommend.Service:Engine repair

They even replaced my car key that had been broken for years as a courtesy. Got my brake pads, rotors, and calipers done here and will be back in the future for any and all automotive work. Eric S.: I’ve been using A-1 since 2015, and my family was going there before I started. There’s a reason why they have BBB torch awards and a five-star rating from Carfax. That reason is honesty. Every time I go in, the amount I pay is less than I expect. And they will not risk the reputation of the company for a quick upsell. They tell you what urgently needs fixing, what can wait, what will eventually happen, and their best estimate on a timeline. They want you to be a repeat customer, and it shows.

Shawn Summers: I've been using A-1 for maybe 20 years? It's been a very good run but sadly today is my last visit.I needed an oil change on my Tundra. It was slow but I was late, seems fair.The real problem was when I was told I need transmission service /fluid change($280) My immediate response was "No it doesn't" but I didn't explain why I knew that. The service writer told me the fluid was dark. I knew two things, I had just had it done at a different shop and my truck doesn't have a transmission dipstick. There's no way to determine dark fluid without significant work.I challenged the service writer and initially he blames "a new system" finally he admitted he made up the dark fluid part. And that the ticket reflected Service Trans if not already done. Very different from "you need transmission service" "the fluid is dark"Long story short. They would have happily taken the $280, dumped the nearly new fluid, and refilled and I would have likely never known. It's predatory and had I been less informed I would have been taken. I'm not a car expert, so I have to trust my service provider, this transaction undermines that trust.

John Davis: I have been to many auto shops over the years, and I started using the big-name dealership that I purchased my car from. Why was I using an overpriced dealership, you ask? I'm glad that you asked. I was tired of being ripped off from the other independent auto shops around Springfield... that was until I tried Vanzandt's Affordable Auto Repair.Not only was I provided with a fair price for the labor and parts, but the parts even came with a lifetime warranty! At another repair shop (several to be precise), I was quoted over double the price for parts and labor, but it was only with a 12 month, 12,000 mile warranty, FOR 2.5 time the price and warranty that was offered to me by Vanzandt's. After seeing their work and honesty upfront, I will NEVER take my car to another auto repair shop as long a I live in the SGF area.Thank you Vanzandt's for restoring my faith in auto repair shops.
Anysthetic: Phantom Repairs. Will charge for hourly labor but won't fix the actual issue. Buying labor but not parts.
A B: First time I used them was very satisfied, however the last time I used them I had an appointment for 8 am and my car didn't get started on until after 1:30. I was told a price on the phone, then was charged more than double. Though I have a warranty on my parts through them I likely won't go back.
