C Ortloff: I arrived to Springfield from a 9 hour trip and had vehicle troubles that needed to get taken care of. Not knowing anyone local I started calling mechanics. Aasby was recommended by the first two companies I called that couldn’t fit me in. Aasbys was able to sneak my vehicle in the following day. However, equally important was the fact they dropped me back off at the fairgrounds and picked me back up from the fairgrounds so that I did not miss work. That was fantastic as I didn’t know whether or not Springfield has a taxi service or Uber drivers. Oh, last thing. They charged less than half the price I expected to pay. They did not take advantage of me and the fact I was an “out of towner”. The front desk woman was fantastic.

Everything is up front--you get a quote on the services, and you can sign off on only the ones you want. You also get a free inspection with every visit, and this is a great way to stay up-to-date with needed maintenance. For example, this time CA told me I'd be needing a new battery soon. Everyone is very friendly. The waiting area is clean and pleasant, with free coffee and sodas and snacks. Dalek Nation: BEWARE!!! Nicest guys you'll ever meet... sure they'll charge you $200 labor to set a $60 battery in an old truck, but they're super nice and professional about it. EDIT: in all they charged $600 for a battery and oil change. Gave me a $1600 list of repairs needed for inspection; OVER HALF OF THE THINGS we're not needed (nothing wrong with tail lights is one example). SHADY!! 2ND EDIT: '92 Ford Ranger. Yes, I was there. Want me to elaborate? You wanted $1600 for inspection. $300 for a tire that past inspection elsewhere. $200 for taillights, which were 100% fine. I mean, the list you gave me was laughed at by next place I took it to. Call you to talk about it? No, I'm never giving another moment of time to you (seriously though, you have no record of me using your business? Nice try. Get a lot of '92 Ford Rangers in a week?)

Brynn Baker: I have been to a couple different shops that had been telling me different things about my car so I was really frustrated not knowing who or what to believe. I sent a message online to Rick's automotive and by end of day the GM took the time to call me and really listened to me . He set me an appointment to have my tahoe lifted and thoroughly looked over. When I arrived the next day he came out to meet me and let me know there would be no charge and that he was sorry for what I had been through. I was given detailed information over the issues with my truck and also took the time to talk to me over the things most important to fix right away and exactly what would be done. I was honestly surprised how great the prices were. They are caring and look out for thier customers. Will continue to be a customer and highly recommend!

Cal Meeds: Took my. Grandson’s 2015 Chevy Malibu to Ricks after having it at another shop three different times in a two week time with the problems not being fixed or diagnosed properly. After some research and checking reviews I chose Rick’s Automotive to take the car to, took it in on a Tuesday and was initially told it would be the following Monday before anyone could look at it. However I received a call the very next day letting me know that they had got it in and found some engine issues that needed to be addressed so I authorized the repairs and they were completed by the next afternoon on Thursday. I picked up the car and drove it 40 miles back home and it started acting up again and completely firing in traffic as before. I had the car towed back to Ricks that same night, I received a call from Rick’s by 7:30 the next morning and we discussed the issues and they assured me they would take another look at the problem. I received a call by 3:00 from the General Manager who explained that the mechanic had missed a vacuum leak that was causing the engine problems. He greatly apologized for their mistake and oversight of this issue and assured me there would be no charge for the repair and went into great detail as to what was causing my engine failure problems. When asked if he would reimburse my towing bill he assured me he would make things right with me on that. I can’t say enough good words about this shop and their professionalism and how they admitted to their mistake and corrected it with no charge to me. William B.: There was paint thinner spilled on the hood. Tim kept saying it was there all along. No way, I hand polish the car all the time. Also, something punctured the hood while it was there. I had a new engine installed in my 2012 Camaro SS. $12,000. Some damage was done to the hood while in the shop. They kind of questioned it but took responsibility and I brought it back to be repaired. I had to bring it back in after I picked it up. They were hoping I wouldn't notice and would drive off. Don't trust them to bring you nice car there!

Autumn Gladden: The inside waiting area is super clean and they have drinks for customers while they wait. That being said, I spoke to someone on the phone and agreed to bring my car in at 11am. I arrived at 10:50AM and sat in the waiting area until 11:30AM. The man in the garage, not anyone else ever came in and spoke a word to me. I tried getting his attention a few times, but he acted like he could neither see nor hear me. I guess that he was too busy so I left and went up the road to have my car repaired.

Terry thinks we are all walnuts.Took my daughters truck in to have the transfer case looked at, and get an estimate on fixing it.Terry immediately gave me the vibe he was not listening to me describe the issue. Wouldn't call us back. I have my suspicions he never even put it on the rack. When my 18 year old daughter finally got ahold of him finally he tried to sell her a $4800 transmission. His demeanor changed when he realized I was listening to the call. Explaining how he couldn't rebuild it, can't get parts. There was no used transmissions in the area and it would have to be a new crate transmission. I paid the $145 worthless diagnosis fee and took it to ACE transmission in Springfield. FREE DIAGNOSIS and they actually found I was right, it WAS THE TRANSFER case. SO he would have sold my daughter a $4800 transmission and it would have still left her with the original issue on the side of the road. DO NOT GO HERE, absolute swindlers.Terry, if you read this review, I HAVE THE BUSTED TRANSFER CASE PARTS FOR YOU.

Jake Herron: They quoted me 375 on doing the wheel bearing and seals on the back of my 01 Silverado but somewhere in the quote they say that didn't include the gear oil to put it back together so when they called to tell me my truck was ready the bill had jumped an extra hundred dollars even after i told them all i had was a maximum off 400 dollar budget so i had to literally empty my change jar to make the difference up before being able to pick my truck up...on the plus side i called on Friday dropped it off at 8am Monday Morning and had it back before 3 inn the afternoon mechanics seemed super professional can't say the same for the man at the desk to me it just felt like he was going to hit me for something extra i even said it to my wife while dropping it off and sure enough he put another hundred in his pocket but took it out of mine so there's that

I was charged $150 for 'diagnostics'. Your shop called my half deaf husband for the go ahead to replace the alternator when we had never had a problem with it...he had no idea what you had said, he couldn't hear. The total bill was almost a thousand dollars. Do not imply that I'm a liar, I have my invoice. It shows, plainly, that I brought it in to have a pulley replaced.

Lisa LaRue: I was allowed to finance the balance due for getting my car "back to how it was" when I took it to this establishment. What they don't know is that I had a before and after my visit qualified mechanic update me on work done. Mind you I drove my car to work 3 nights a week for a month-and-a-half after local mechanic replace plugs, seals and gaskets and said 3rd cylinder needed diagnosed. Long story short they did not put in the gaskets and seals on the engine that the invoice describes AND even neglected putting all the bolts back in as well as screws holding plastic moldings. I was able to drive the car back home, to the gas station, and around the block before it gave up the ghost crawling back into my driveway where has not been driven since. Dungeon Cartographer: Went to have a new battery put in and alternator looked at. The shop charges $118 per shop hour. At the time of this posting the dealership hourly shop rate is $122. They performed a '90 point inspection' without permission or request. Cost of alternator at autozone was $67 Cost of battery at walmart was $48. Samuel Perkins: I took my car this because it threw a timing belt. First off the head needed rebuilt. They told me it’s un fixable and their machine shop couldn’t fix it. So we had to take it to another machine shop and they fixed it perfectly fine no complaints. So we then took it back to all pro to re assemble and time and get running good again. They ended up timing it way off. It ran 20 degrees hot afterwards. I poured a bunch of knew parts in it only to figure out they timed it wrong. Jerry Ford: An outstanding place to get your vehicle repaired.I've been in the business myself since 1971 and unfortunately, things have progressed to a point that you just can't do most repairs at home anymore. I'm very selective when it comes to someone else working on anything of mine.I must say, Graham's has proven to be honest and professional in anything I've ask them to do.They replaced an engine in my daily driver some time ago and it's still running like a top and getting 37 MPG doing it.They just finished repairs on my wife's car. I ordered the part and will be returning for them to install!! Most mechanic shops would order the part and double the price!! I am so happy I decided to stop by and actually have helpful men that won't take advantage of women needing assistance.. from now on they will get All of my business
