Our wood began as the building material for a barn over 160 years ago in Missouri. It tells it's story through pitting and saw marks acquired over the years. Now our children and grandchildren will get to add their history to the wood. Our table is so beautifully handcrafted it will be gladly welcomed by the next generation. Savannah: We ended up buying a sectional and recliner here after shopping at several different stores in the area. The owner was so friendly and helpful. We were probably in and out within 30 minutes and the set is soo comfortable, not to mention affordable. Plus, it was delivered the very next day! There even a minor issue with one cushion when it was delivered (through no fault of the store owner) and he still replaced the cushion the very next day. I would highly recommend a Home Xpressions to anyone needing furniture!

Jessie McCain: Looked for couches for weeks. Found a sofa and loveseat my husband and I really liked here. We bought it and were so excited to put it in our new house. Unfortunately we didn’t measure our space properly and there was no logical way to get them to both fit. I called immediately and asked what our options were and apparently there are none. Was told it says final sale on the invoice which is kinda weird to put it on the paperwork after you already make the purchase. Was hoping they would be willing to work with us, maybe give us in store credit so the money still stays within their store but they had no interest in doing that. Our furniture was also delivered a week late and was missing a power cord to one of the sofas but they got very defensive when I brought that up. I should’ve asked more questions up front I guess. Was hoping to shop here again in the future, but after our experience we will probably not be back as this ended up being pretty disappointing for us. The store has a decent selection, but before you buy make sure you absolutely love it, it will fit, and ask all the questions before purchasing because once you give them your money you can’t go back.

The men there are very kind and cared to make sure me and my mom knew where to go for what we were looking for and they made it their priority to check other options to make sure they were accessible if they were not in stock on certain things (most of which they had in stock). When you give this place a chance, you'll never doubt your decision. 5 STARS!

After shopping around for weeks in hopes of finding things in stock and not 6-8 weeks out, he had everything in stock, and much of that was what was out of stock at other stores. The furniture is all from Ashley so you know what you are getting and I was even able to use the financing option that Ashley provides. Again, Sam was an awesome guy and helped us get exactly what we wanted in two days.

Simce giving me store credit i went in the store and pocked out a different dresser of the same value that i saw in the showroom, yet once again THAT ONE ISNT AVAILABLE EITHER ! Ive been picking my clothes from a bin and tv sitting on boxes ! Im so disappointed and will NEVER spend money here again !

Artsy Q: Was recommended years ago by my sisters, so I took a chance. Great prices on mattresses (not the other furniture though), however the customer service and systems are poor and unreliable (pre, mid and post covid). Told one thing by the manager and assistant manager, then got to the store and told something different by the same manager as if I’m to accommodate their misinformation when I’m acting as I was instructed and on time. Now a second trip is in order to pick up an item that wasn’t at the store as I was promised and which they refuse to mail to me! Won’t be shopping there or recommending again. Love my new mattress is the silver lining. UPDATE: So thankful that management was timely in resolving the issue by dropping the remaining item by my home before end of day. That one act goes a long way and I hope provides an opportunity to do better and for others to enjoy the great mattress prices here. Now for a good night’s rest!

Delores Saddler: The furniture store sit and sleep for less on Grand South Grand is a ripoff I was very displeased with a product they sold me a bed and wouldn't replace the pieces that was broke they the box spring was no good and they wouldn't replace it the mattress isn't that good either I paid $700 for the mattress they kept lying to me about the bed they came out once to fix it but the box spring it broke the railings on the bed it broke so I had to sleep on the floor with just a mattress they still haven't replaced the box spring and they bought another railing that was too little for the bed when I tried to call them several times they hung up on me I advise anymore do not get no furniture from sit and sleep on South Grand so now I have to go out and try to get me a bed this is the worst experience with furniture I have ever had something need to be done about it so they sold me a bed that wasn't no good and I still haven't heard from them my experience with them was very bad and I will tell others not to shop there I went up there and the manager told me that he didn't have no help no workers I told him about the bed I took pictures then he told me he will sell me a box spring for $100 at first I was willing to buy it but then I waited on him to deliver it he did not deliver it or call me I haven't heard from them the manager in that place and the furniture is no good so I will pursue it another way

The time is now 7:35pm & I have not received a call or any type of communication as to why my couch was not delivered. I know they outsource for delivery but GUILTY BY ASSOCIATION!!! You should not deal with a company who has bad customer service. I will be going to the store in the morning to see how they will rectify this issue. I will update once I speak with the owners.

A motorized part on a recliner went bad recently while the footrests were extended which was incredibly unfortunate. The chair manufacturer's website was no help and said to contact local distributors. I started calling around St. Louis for any furniture place that might be able to help with the repair. The owners of Furniture Marketplace were more helpful than any other place I contacted. They went above and beyond to facilitate the repair of a piece of furniture I did not initially buy from them. They not only contacted the manufacturer but arranged for the broken part to be shipped here free of charge.With service like this we will definitely be returning with our business next time we need to purchase new furniture.

Mike Ford: ::::READ BEFORE PURCHASING FROM FURNITURE MARKETPLACE::::I bought the Southern Motion Power recliner at Furniture Marketplace September 7, 2016. We also purchased the extended 5 year warranty for the chair. We had some trouble with the motor in June of 2020. When I spoke with the store, they told me there was a phone number on the receipt for Mega Product Protection. I started contacting them in June, trying to get a repair man to come out. Mega gave me the name of a company 4 Repairs. 4 Repairs said they did not have my policy or phone number associated with the chair. 4 Repairs told me to call Fast Furniture. Same issue. They both said they had no phone number that was associated with the claim. After going back and fourth SEVERAL more times, they eventually figured it out. 4 Repairs told me they would not make it out to look at the chair until August 20. I thought that seemed unusual but with the pandemic, I didn’t say too much. The repair man finally came out and informed me a new motor and switch was needed. After waiting almost a month with no contact from any company about the ordered part, I called 4 Repair numerous times with no answer. After threatening a bad review on social media, they immediately called me back. 4 Repair told me I had to track the part myself and gave me a phone number for a company called 4 Warranty. I called 4 Warranty today on September 21 and they informed me the part was ordered on September 1 from.....FURNITURE MARKETPLACE!! I had to contact the store where my chair was ORIGINALLY ordered from. It is just one big circle of nonsense, and I’m STILL without a working chair. I thought I would support a local business, but boy was that a mistake! This was a horrible experience, and I hope this post saves someone else from purchasing the joke they call a warranty!

Dawn: Very disappointed in the finish of our table. We have not even had family dinner yet and I can see several surface scratches on this very expensive table. Before we purchased this I asked if there was any special care needed for the finish and I was assured it was extremely durable for everyday use, not the case. Buyer beware.

Spoke to an older gentleman. He told us we couldn’t get what we were describing. He also told us that he would be the one making any table. That was totally differentThat what Mary Jane had told us. He also said it would be very expensive and treated us like we couldn’t afford it. Wanted to buy local. We ended up buying from a store in Authur IL. Can’t wait for it to be finished and delivered. Shopped the end of January so it’s been a months ago.

We’ve really enjoyed it… I had to get a new cover for the table recently . They took my order over the phone and were very pleasant and very nice to talk to! I would highly recommend anyone to look at their furniture as it’s outstanding! High quality and fairly priced. Go for it!
