aimee radford: I ordered the Chava's Quesedilla, and it was amazing as always. It is such a great amount of food for your value, as well as the quality. While the chips and salsa are complimentary, it was the main motivator to finish our meal so we could keep snacking on them! Service was amazing as per usual. The workers are nice and polite. Only downside was the acoustics inside made it hard to hear each other. Chava's is normally bustling with people, especially around dinnertime.

Julie Creech: Loved loved loved everything! (but the rice was not my favorite) We had the chicken fajitas and chimichanga. The chips and salsa were great. They also have happy hour 4 to 6. The margaritas🍹 were made with real fruit 😋 so good. We tried pineapple, cherry 🍒, blueberry and he had orange 🍊. They do frozen or on the rocks and you can mix two flavors. Ok (pronounced oak) was fantastic. We took home the beef fried tacos for mom-in-law and she loved them too. We will definitely go back here.

Rachel S: The menu seems more unique than a lot of typical Mexican places (for example, their beans are served with more solid bits rather than completely blended, the salsa has a smoky flavor, etc). Just small things that make it stand out. Staff were quick and friendly. It was very busy the night that we went but we were still seated quickly and food came out fast.

Danger Dest: Updating my 5 star review, 6 years later. Sadly this place has gone down hill. I went for lunch today for the first time in years and sadly it's not the MTJ I raved about before. The environment was sticky and grimey, dirty menus and utensils, the food was lukewarm at best, the queso was cold and gloopy and a completely different recipe from the amazing queso they had here years before. The burrito was barely warm and full of fat. On top of that everything is very bland now. I used to come here all the time with my husband for the $2 taco and tequila hour but I don't think I'll ever come back. The food is mid now at best and there are better places to eat on the loop.Original review ---The Baja fried fish Taco will change ya life 👌😫 Pardon my pun, but I'm hooked. If you're in St.Louis and want Mexican food look no further.

rachael b: Great margs and homemade salsa. I've tried everything from the burritos to the tacos to the sandwiches and never been disappointed. Try the Brah'rito if you're extra hungry!
Bob Braun: Food was bland, guacamole was pre-made ( from a can?). Street corn was horrible.

Jaime Odom: I can see the concept of where they're trying to go with the food. But don't call it something everyone expects and it comes out completely different. You can't call something a surf and turf and bring out egg rolls and french fries. The food was decent, but someone forgot the salt. I'm not a big salt person, I'd be the first to say something is too salty, but don't forget the compliments when preparing the food (salt and pepper). There were four adults, including me, sitting at my table. Not one of us agreed we liked the food. We all ordered something different, too. If we ever did try this place again, (I always give restaurants second, maybe third chances), we'd go to a different location. The service was decent, too.
Parker Kelley: No. No. No. We visited this location while visiting St. Louis, after hearing such wonderful reviews about this place. The overall experience was not good, and was very disappointing. I will say this upfront… they were obviously understaffed, and the waitress we had was working very hard and was very kind. However…We were seated immediately and placed our order promptly. We waited a long time before our food was delivered to our table, and when it finally arrived… it was cold. We ordered tacos, three different varieties of meat. It was all cold. The meat in the tacos was ice cold all the way through. We ate the tacos we had already started with, but sent the others back to be taken off of our bill. The waitress was very nice and offered to have them remade, but of course we did not want that. The churros were not much else but greasy fried dough. Hardly any filling and just entirely too greasy. They were at least warm. There were several staff members who were very obviously sick, and were coughing constantly throughout our time inside the restaurant. I observed a lot of uncovered coughing and no hand-washing. The bartender had a horrible cough but continued to make drinks while doing so. This was very disturbing. After researching this restaurant and thinking this was going to be a wonderful lunch, it was nothing else but disappointment. We will not re-visit this restaurant.
Jeremy Brunk: I ordered tacos that had some sort of sauce that contained mayonnaise/miracle whip *they're the same thing* which mayonnaise/miracle whip is my mortal enemy because it's the grossest thing ever. Don't argue. It's just animal fat and eggs. Did i eat these tacos? I ate that those tacos and didn't give af that nasty lard was in there.
Celine Aka-Koffi: Mission Taco never disappoints. The carne asada and baja fried fish tacos are a must try. Cocktails are excellent.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Mary Asher: Tacos La Jefa is a not-so-hidden gem in South St. Louis serving up authentic Jalisco style birria inside Urban Eats. They've recently expanded their hours, so there's no reason not to visit! We always order the quesabirria- so much cheese, lots of tender meat, and a crazy delicious consommé for dipping. We also ordered their strawberries and cream last time. Lots of strawberries, lots of whipped cream, but also, it's kind of a drink? You'll love it regardless.Have you been?Tacos la Jefa is inside Urban Eats in the Dutchtown neighborhood.Hours: Thurs & Fri 10-4, Sat 11-5, Sun 10-3Follow me on Instagram for more @mary.eats.stl

Yanna Lowe: The chicken quesabirria tacos are FIRE! Really really good place. The tacos are decently priced. I would recommend for sure.I gave them 4 stars because their customer service online could be better. I received the wrong order, and couldn’t eat the one given to me. I understand mistakes happen, even though it was very disappointing. (I was STARVING 😩) A customer should never be left on read, without their question answered. Thankfully, I was able to receive my refund via UE.I would still suggest them because the food is great. Just make sure you check your order before you leave.
Lovely Faith: Amazing!
Jaylen Johnson: The food is good but the service you receive is subpar at best. I would not recommend at all if you are in a hurry
Scott Armstrong: I normally love this place but I have to give them a one star rating this time, due to the tacos Bing full of chunks of bones. And they forgot half my order.
C&C Pro. Cleaning Services, LLC: Tacos La Jefa catered to us and loved how authentic the food was. We ordered birria, rice, beans and of course quesabirria (chicken and birria with cheese). We enjoyed the food and the professional service. We highly recommend Tacos La Jefa STL!~ The BartonVegetarian options: Good Vegie options.
Iris Arango: The Birria plate and quesabirrias tacos are delicious and authentic. Very friendly, welcoming environment, the staff is caring and is always willing to explain the menu to customers. Best Birria around you won’t be disappointed!

Jay Liston: Not even sure what I had I just let my girl pick it I just pay and agree with her anything else I’d be in trouble so can’t give u an exact name for it but it was most definitely fire! Very nice atmosphere it’s a shared space with other small restaurants/businesses very unique u ask me like a indoor strip mall. She explained the sauces well along with having patience which I appreciate! She didn’t rush us to buy and took her time explaining! Not to mention we sat in and she made sure we was good the entire time! From asking out questions to asking if we’re good to offering us napkins. I can go on and on!!! My new weekend spot I’d say!

Corey Anderson: Really interesting concept. The flavors of Korean food but presented as Mexican street food. Super unique but also very delicious. The Korean flavors are spot on, the kimchi, rice and pork combo in a burrito is strange but very delicious and satisfying. The pork was the only meat I had, but I had ordered it multiple times because it was just so darn good. Also, the queso is absolutely amazing. It's more like liquid cheese versus a watery cheese-like sauce. It's very good.

Cody Cummings: Seoul Tacos is one of the few lunch spots open on Mondays, and it’s a pretty quick way to get a lot of tasty food quickly if you’re limited on time. Parking is a challenge, but if you live or work around the grove then it’s an easy option. I tried the spicy pork burrito and my wife got the Gogi bowl with steak. The spicy pork burrito was packed with flavor, and everything was fairly balanced in a way that each bite tasted the same, unlike other burrito places that seem to find a way to give you pockets of differing flavors. The Gogi bowls are pretty big, and the meat portion is generous. The egg was unforgivably fully cooked, so there was no mixing the yolk into the rice, but other then that it was pretty delicious. The waffle fries are some of the best sweet potato fries I’ve had in the city, and while I initially balked at the price, I was happy with the investment in the end. Pro tip: get some gochujang on the side for the fries, and thank me later.
Anirudh Ashok: Was recommended this place by a friend.Got the Gogi bowl with tofu and fried rice and the sweet potato waffle fries. Great fried rice and the gojuchang paste was really tasty and spicy. The sweet potato fries were really delicious. The only problem we had with this place was that almost everything had eggs mixed into it and my girlfriend could not eat anything but the sweet potato waffle fries with sriracha sauce. Wish they had a vegan substitute for these sauces. A tough place to find anything to eat for vegan food enthusiasts. Would definitely recommend visiting at least once if you’re in St. Louis. The ambience was great and the staff were really nice and courteous!

Zach King: Update 2023: This place has taken a full 180 from a year ago. Workers are great, inviting and the food is more consistent than ever.Update: Food seems to be more consistent now with each time I order. This Seoul Taco is by far the worst Seoul Taco location all caused by the staff not caring and obviously management not doing anything about it. I have been to this location for probably close to 200 times and I always get the same thing, a gogi bowl. The only consistent thing about it is that the meat is always seasoned well (the reason I keep coming back) other than that the bowls are never the same. They always pre cook the eggs so they end up being a hard egg, not the sunny side up as it should be. Out of those 200 times I have ordered this bowl I always get it with Seoul sauce, out of those times they have not put it on the bowl at least 150 of those orders. They also have the audacity to charge 50 cents for a tablespoon of that sauce that you may or may not get. I truly think that if the owner would audit this location he would be deeply upset with the quality of food that is coming out of there.

Taco Buddha: what do users think?
Elvis C.: We ordered the fried fish, chicken and pork tacos. At first the food looked great, colorful and with many different veggies. However, we immediately discovered that the temperature of the tacos were way too cool. Especially the fried fish and fried chicken taco, apparently they had been cooked for a while. We finished the corn at last, and ironically it was still warm. Also the tortilla was way too dry. I won’t say this is the best taco place in St Louis as mentioned in some reviews. I’ll recommend Mi Rancho nearby if you’re looking for some real Mexican foods. I wanted to give 4 stars, but I really value the quality of foods.
Heather Martin: My step son was just hired at the Kirkwood location. He had been working at McDonald’s for over two years, gave his notice for the opportunity to work at the new location. After waiting two weeks for the location to open he worked three hours of training when the company told him he needed to handle shellfish. At that time he informed them that he has a shellfish allergy( mind you only when ingesting) the company then called later that day and fired him. They did not ask on their application about shellfish allergy, nor did they after the fact of finding out ask what the severity was or if there was another option. My 16 year old son who has worked for 2 years now and thought he was moving to a better opportunity was just fired after the incompetence of this establishment, is now looking for another employment.Myself and others will not be supporting this restaurant.Amazing how a company locating owned treats our younger community.Taco Buddha your loss!

Deepak Chand: Food used to be great here. My last visit here I was sorely disappointed. Ordered five different tacos. The meat in all of them was cold. The chicken and pork was dry. The fish in the Baja taco seemed a little stale like it was cooked several hours ago and just left sitting out. It seems like they just prepare everything before hand now, and throw it all together when you order without even thinking of reheating the meat. The salsa was below par. Ended up throwing away more than half the food. The only positive was the friendly staff.
Rachel S: The Jodhpur tasted good! The combinations including pieces of fruit were unique and the prices were affordable. Fried avocado was yummy. Peter Gebhard: We enjoyed the outdoor space a lot (huge improvement to the small indoor space they used to be limited to), and the place was quite well run.Unfortunately, the enticing menu descriptions weren’t matched by the actual flavors of the dishes. We found the flavors to lack depth and complexity. We tried the Baja, Nashville, Thailand, and Taos. Of them all, the Nashville was the tastiest, but it’s hard to call it a taco. It’s really a Nashville-style chicken breast (not so spicy either) wrapped in a tortilla…and that’s about it.The salsas tasted watered-down, thereby also lacking depth of flavor.Hey, the portions are big, though!
Alexxus Smith: Good hospitality and great tacos. Will be coming back again :) the fish taco was top tier

Rex Berry: The food was good, and I enjoyed the setting. It was busy, but not completely full. It was hard to get service, and we had to wait probably 20 minutes to order after we had our drinks, then when finished, it took about another 30 minutes to get our ticket. Tasha B: UPDATE May 2023: Reducing my rating because I tried to order carry out yesterday by calling and they hung up the phone in my face 3 times. They do not have a good system for ordering takeout and their restaurant is very busy and noisy and they cannot hear well on their line. They use delivery services for delivery, which may be a fine experience, but takeout is awful. As a result, I searched and found another Mexican restaurant (in Richmond Heights) and had GREAT service and GREAT birria tacos. I likely will not be going back to El Burro Loco after the experience yesterday.PRIOR REVIEW:The food was delicious! Loved the tamales and the chimichanga. Would have liked cilantro and onion with the birria tacos, but they were still excellent. My only complaint is the low quality serving ware. I’m fine with plastic ware, just give me good quality, sturdy plastic ware. Spend a little bit extra and go to Sam’s or Costco and get the better quality serving ware. I’ll be back, but I might bring my own serving ware.

Taqueria El Bronco: what do users think?
kay riddle: My son and I sat at the counter. Great taco salad. It was great to find this free parking, if why we looked for this restaurant. In the area it's not easy to park. We were delighted to find this clean place to eat Mexican food. Yum.Parking: Parking lot in around to the back. Thank you for free parking in this area. Great food. Spanish/English is a little difficult for this English only speaking old gal but it was all good. Great people.

Cristal Luna: The restaurant was completely packed when I walked in. I had no issues with a long wait, it was to be expected. I stood at the register for 30 mins, I was never greeted or asked if I needed anything. Being that it was busy I didn’t want to take it personal. What upset me was when 3 people, yes 3 people who walked in after me had their order taken. All whom were Spanish speaking people. At first I thought they had online or pickup orders but that wasn’t the case. They all placed orders and then exchanged money. Finally a women decided to take my order and I went to sit down. As I approached the table my bf explained how another table was ignored multiple times and had to ask the staff if someone was going to help them. This table was there before we arrived. I continued to watch them bring chips and continue to ignore not only my table my bf had been sitting at but the other table that complained. I’m very understanding to restaurant staff. I’m also the LAST person to pull the race card. But when I see you give good service and attention to Hispanic and white people and ignore African Americans, it’s sad in 2023 we have to have this conversation and it’s disgusting. I will never come back to this place. I also saw one of the waitresses touch food to see if it hot with her fingers after dealing with money. And to top it off this was some of the nastiest Mexican food I’ve had. These were the worst fries, street tacos and queso I’ve ever had. My bf ordered a steak quesadilla that wasn’t tasty. Don’t waste your time or money coming here.
Jesús Alejandro Hernández: La verdad esta 6% de buena la comida pero no atienden bien las meseras contestan muy desagradable no saben atender bien perdí mi tiempo en manejar 2:30 para solo ir a comer hay

Cody Cummings: This is one of the best taco stops in STL! Unlike a lot of other taco joints, they really give you a loaded taco for the price. Each one has fresh and flavorful ingredients, and did not disappoint. I typically buy 3 when ordering tacos, but you can get by with 2 and still feel full. I highly recommend the El Mojado if you want something big on flavor, and if you want a little spice, go with a flank steak taco. The wait time was less than 5 mins, and the service was great. It’s great for a lunch break or if you wanna go grab some food on your way to Earthbound brewing down the street. Give them a try the next time you’re in the mood for tacos or on Cherokee st.
sa Daniel: The torta carne asada was disappointing. The bread was old and there was no carne asada seasoning on the steak. Torta was good size and came with large order of fries. The Cherokee nachos was good size, not bad, but had very little cheese. Taco’s carne asada was dry and again was lacking the carne asada seasoning. Mangonada was very good.

I’m very grateful to have found such restaurant like this because I LOVE TACOS and Hispanic food itself. Yet again, this restaurant has brought a magnificent glory to both me and my family. A+++ Thumbs up!Kid-friendliness: Very friendly and quick service provided for each customer.Parking: I’d prefer better or more private parking near the restaurant to help prevent street crossings accidents for both the young and elderly.

Mission Taco Joint - Historic Soulard: what do users think?
Collin Owens: Good food, unique flavors, friendly service… The three little piggies burrito was pretty good, it’s a big burrito! Guacamole was a great flavor. We enjoyed our visit. Sadly, they do not have sweet tea.
Mia Kaplan: this is definitely the best mission taco location in st. louis, if you're deciding between this one and another go with this one for sure. staff is friendly and all of the food is amazing! this might be my favorite restaurant in all of st. louis.Recommended dishes Queso Con Chorizo, Chips & Salsa, Hot Fried Chicken …More
Cari Morales: I honestly do not understand how this has the ratings it has... The atmosphere is cute and the staff are friendly but the food was just super disappointing. Our guacamole was black/brown as if it was sitting out for a long time and my tacos were cold and the fried chicken for the hot chicken tacos were dry and stale. Overall, did not enjoy our experience here since the food was disappointing. We didn't get drinks here but maybe they were better than the food (at least I hope they are). Can't genuinely recommend this place, unfortunately.
Cody Cummings: Mission Taco fits in really well in Soulard. The vibe is fun and lively. The bartenders and waitstaff are friendly, and the food is amazing. I’ve tried almost all the tacos here and while my favorite is the BBQ duck, I’ve never had one that I didn’t want to try again. If you want the full experience, you have to get the street corn off the cob. It’s an excellent side that is cooked to perfection. Don’t confuse them with the street corn fritters, while also very tasty, they aren’t are magical as regular street corn.
Zak S: It's just okay these days. I feel like they've really started resting on their laurels and playing it safe with the same tacos and burritos that have been there for years. The service is good, but holy hell is it loud no matter where you sit with very little attempt to break the noise up at all.Food: 3/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More
Ted Butler: Great chips and salsa. Tacos are whatever.Recommended dishes Chips & Salsa …More
Robinson: Very disappointed… i tried to give it another try but if you order take out prepare for cold refrigerator food
Danielle Amann-Stewart: Fast service, friendly staff, and phenomenal food - what a great experience! I will definitely be back.
Jennifer Knobeloch: My favorite location! Best environment and delicious drinks. Service is always the best no matter how busy they are
patrick coyne: MTJ has great choice of tacos and drinksFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Nic C: I heard that the food was good here but the taco I got was kind of flavorless and the carne fries were overcooked and not very appetizing. Fortunately they were nice and got me a good quesadilla instead, but still pretty disappointing (and on the pricey side for okay tacos).Food: 2/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Alexander Rasch: Quick fast service amazing drinks! Perfect amount of spice on the margarita!! I would take a pic but I drank it already!! Patrick was a great server!Vegetarian options: Portobello mushroom is always I. My wheelhouse! And I’m not a veggie head!Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp with space for one standard wheelchair good table height
James Patrick: Never go wrong as Mission Taco. The drinks always get the job done. You never leaving saying ‘the food was better last time’. We always look forward to the taco on special too. The servers are always great too, which says the owners are taking good care of their team. Always a solid decision.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Zachary Tillman: If you’re looking for tacos and bomb drinks, look no further! It’s fast, delicious, and comes with amazing service! Shout out to our server Patrick and the manager Hue for taking care of us. Will definitely be getting my taco Tuesday fix here.
Tyler Hall: Hands down the best service in soulard. Had a wonderful experience. Highly recommend the carne asada fries. Patrick was a lovely and attentive server. The manager Hugh came over to check in and he was such a delight!
Natalie Gray: Great food, great ambiance! The service is wonderful. I come here often and I have never had a bad experience. Huegh is wonderful and always converses with his customers- it’s a comfortable, affordable spot.

Mike Hunter: I must say I received the best taco ever in my life at this place. It was the BLT taco.. alot of heat and sweet also.. it had alot going on..it won't disappoint. My only complaint is the pitcher of Margareta was 38 dollars but everything else was reasonable. Come here for some great tacos its a fun place.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
