Zoe Wolkowitz: I cannot recommend this place and Robert (our dance teacher) enough! My dad and I took dance lessons for the father-daughter dance at my wedding. We had an absolute blast every week learning classic dance moves, choreographing our dance, and spending time together. Our dance turned out so special and awesome. To all the future brides, this is a MUST!!!
l grady: Roxanne is amazing!!! My partner and 10 of our friends booked a private beginner salsa class with Roxanne and had the best time. We enjoyed it so much that we booked a second session and will return soon for more. Roxanne made us all feel at ease as she worked her magic and shared her passion for dance. So much fun - highly recommend!

I am very glad I found Hanna, who is a patient, friendly, and incredible teacher. I have been taking classes with her for more than a year and she tailors the sessions to my goals and encourages me to practice whenever I can. She truly cares about my progress and goes above and beyond to make sure I continue to improve. She also always accommodates with my busy schedule without any hesitation. Now I have been able to improve my musicality, properly lead a dance, and feel more confident on the dancing floor. I would recommend Hanna to anyone who wants to learn Latin dancing regardless of skill level. Anyone would be lucky to have her as their dance teacher.

Rachel Gans: If anyone is considering Convergence Dance please do so. Robert makes the lessons so much fun! My husband and I look forward to our salsa classes weekly. Robert is not judgmental at all and very encouraging even when given 2 students with two left feet. He is a fabulous teacher and the studio staff is very friendly as well. I don't think you could go wrong with any of the teachers.

Michael Shattuck: Started a six week group salsa class last night and it was fantastic! Josiah was a great instructor and really helped through demonstration and then coming around several times to check in on each couple. We had a blast and felt like we were really dancing instead of just doing a few steps here and there. Looking forward to next week! Well worth it... Actually surprised it's not more expensive!

Lisa Summers: I take private lessons with Alex, the owner of Majestic Dance Studio. He is an excellent teacher who takes the time to give clear explanations on how to apply proper technique, while keeping it fun and an enjoyable experience. I also dance with Kimberly on Saturday mornings in her Ballroom Fitness and Ladies Styling classes. I can't say enough how much fun Saturday mornings are, dancing in her class. Her uplifting energy is contagious and the other students are friendly and accepting of everyone. Majestic has a very warm and welcoming atmosphere and I highly recommend them to anyone looking to improve their life by bringing dance into it.

Mel Willsey: My wife and I have been avid dance students for more than twenty years. Through those years we have had more than half dozen teachers of varying levels of skill and experience; some of them have had international certification. We have done exhibition but never competed. However, we have always been taught to and striven to achieve professional quality dancing. We recently came to Majestic with limited expectations but have been greatly pleased with the quality of instruction and with the facility.Josef Sherer (our instructor) displays fantastic skill both as a dancer and as an instructor. Since working with us he has improved our dancing not by giving more complex techniques but rather by simplifying techniques that we thought we already had in hand. Not only has our dancing greatly improved but it has become significantly less contentious. In years past we frequently left a lesson thinking "this is so hard . . . we're never going to get this". Now we leave thinking the lesson was fun and that we can continue to improve. Since dancing is and always will be a major part of our lives we say thank you Majestic for making it continue to be.

This place is for serious dancers only and not someone like us just wanting to learn a few steps for our wedding. They could really benefit from online scheduling or a dedicated secretary.

Shannon Jackson: From the minute I walked in the door back in July of 2018, Stan and Mary Collins (owners) not only made me feel welcome, they made me feel as if I could learn every genre of Ballroom dancing. Although I have a dance background, ballroom is an entirely different game. You have a partner and a whole new set of rules to learn and remember. The entire group makes you feel comfortable. You forget your learning and just begin to have fun which is what dancing SHOULD be all about! This studio is a family holding each other up or in inclass but at events and outside of the studio. So happy I joined and am taking lessons! Five just isn’t enough stars !

Sid Herman: Having been at the studio working with the professional dance instructors for 8 years. The dance instruction is well grounded in ballroom pedagogy and proper body mechanics. The group classes are affordable and a relaxed environment, more fun than a barrel of ferrets. Individual lessons and group instruction draws on the deep level of world class professional dance methods mastered by the professional instructors. Dance students also have the opportunity to train with world champions of dance as an occasional option. The studio and its dancers have won many awards at official competitions over the years. Also dancers are not required to bring a dance partner, though you certainly can bring a partner if you have one. U Can Dance has helped me find my inner shizzle and helped me to more effectively shake what my momma gave me. U Can Dance Studio, the place to find your happy dance.

Talia T: Took some lessons with Rebecca in preparation of our wedding. Little did we know it would become our favorite part of wedding planning! Initially we thought we'd just do three lessons but we quickly decided we wanted to add more so we could come back once or twice a week. Rebecca was amazing, patient, and such a great teacher. And she is SUCH an amazing dancer! So fortunate to learn from her, we're still not the best dancers but we are so much more confident. Just Dancing Studio has a very positive and friendly vibe to it, I loved being there and also seeing everyone dance and have a good time! This is THE place to get lessons and join their dancing classes! We plan on signing up for group dances after the wedding.

Marissa Schaefer: My husband and I attended a 7pm group dance lesson that was supposed to be 45 minutes. The lesson began 25 minutes late, no problem. We didn't mind waiting... until they cut it short and ended it on time (so only 20 minutes), yet there was time to include a sales pitch for their other lessons. The whole thing was super disappointing and unprofessional, and we never even danced to music. If the studio is running late lessons should be extended or at least a partial refund given.

Ry Cole: A couple months ago my boyfriend and I surprised our newly engaged friends with a wedding dance lesson. We opted for private which was the smart choice for our first lesson and were met at the studio by Doug, our instructor for the hour. I truly can't say enough wonderful things about this entire experience. Doug was absolutely magnificent. He made all four of us very comfortable to let loose right from the start. We brought the wedding dance song and he catered moves to the melody. We learned some basic steps as well as some twirls and he even had us record what we had learned on an iphone to take home and continue to practice. The price is SO RIGHT for this kind of service and fun. We will definitely be back for private and group lessons!

Chris Diamond: St. Louis Academy of Dance is a great studio for both children and adults. Miss Kacy, Miss Emily, and the rest of the staff at SLAD are incredible! Their focus is on proper dance technique, not competitions, which we greatly appreciate. Always professional!
Heather Kroeger: All three of my daughters are students at SLAD. They have each improved their self confidence, poise, and sense of commitment through dance, and it's been wonderful to watch each of them develop different skills through learning the multiple disciplines offered at SLAD. The instruction, facility, and quality of choreography is unprecedented in the city of St. Louis. Kacy Voscuil, the artistic director, runs a world class operation which our family is so grateful to be affiliated with. You cannot beat the location, and the facility has just been remodeled and expanded making it easy to find the right classes for your child to fit in his or her busy schedule. SLAD clearly has an outstanding reputation in the community of professional dancing as evidenced by having procured a pretty impressive team of choreographers for the 2014-2015 season. We are all excited to see this business grow and flourish!

Maggie Taylor Berkowitz: Central studio offers a beautiful space for my Pilates practice and the equipment is fantastic. Even better than the aesthetics is the expert level teaching I have received from Laura Dunlop. Her knowledge of anatomy and Pilates work together to create a meaningful session that strengthens my weaknesses and leaves me feeling amazing when I walk out the door. Highly recommend!!
Julie Stern: I absolutely LOVE CENTRAL STUDIO! Mary Ellen is the most creative, kindest, inspiring leader! I discovered Central Studio over 5 years ago when I started a Pilates training/certification program. Throughout my training and beyond I felt supported, encouraged and mentored. I recommend Central to everyone from those who would like to start pilates or those who have been doing for years! Although I’m not involved in the children and adult dance programs, I like to watch the yearly production. I also can’t leave out the Collective Motion professional dance company. They visit schools and teach through the children’s books that Mary Ellen has written. One last thing, if you need a Thai massage, there are several massage therapists you will love!

Leah Johnson: I have been taking Pilates classes twice a week for 20 years, the last six at Central Studio. The owner, Mary Ellen Bryant, really listens to the needs of students, and I am delighted with the care they exhibit to each person who attends a class. We are always asked "how are your bodies feeling today" and the instructors do a great job of gearing the class towards the level of the attendees. Central Studio quickly adjusted to providing Zoom classes during the pandemic, helping us keep in shape by offering alternative ways to keep moving.

We are a 50 something couple and were shy about dancing at a friend’s upcoming wedding so we decided to take lessons as an anniversary gift to ourselves.
