jill sean: I was born in 1984 started dancing with Denoyer dance in kindergarten this place was my second home and family Mrs D was like a mentor and a grandma to all of us . I can't stress how wonderful this studio is I miss it so much and I know Mrs D is smiling down at all of us with pride I'm glad the new owner kept the studio the same name. Dance is music to the eye and I still watch my recital tapes and plan on getting my son into hip hop and other classes.

So confused here. I wasn't refunded the correct amount and nowhere near the amount of hundreds I was charged so I had to have my bank refund me. No thanks...

Tammy Meyer: DeNoyer has been our 2nd home for 2 seasons now. My son has taken tap and (mostly) hip hop. The teachers are patient and work wonderfully with the kids. Doug, the owner is always prompt with his responses and is always willing to work with the families. He is also open to suggestions and listens to concerns. It is located in South County and there is a male teacher for the Hip Hop class. I have looked at others and the teachers are female. Although I am quite sure they are good I think my son responds better to a male. Classes are reasonably priced and lots of different time slots for your convenience. There are 80 classes at this time so I am sure everyone can find a class that their child will love.

I had already set my table up-had to pack everything up and went home, frustrated, humiliated.I had forgotten all about it until I checked my bank account online and what do I see. They had the blatant audacity to CASH MY CHECK-that they said they did not have. The back is stamped Denoyer Dance Studio deposit only. Please tell me how are you going to take my money when I did not even participate. I have called and still I do not have my money back. Racist -I am so livid I do not have the proper words right now. Get my money back to me ASAP.

Chris Diamond: St. Louis Academy of Dance is a great studio for both children and adults. Miss Kacy, Miss Emily, and the rest of the staff at SLAD are incredible! Their focus is on proper dance technique, not competitions, which we greatly appreciate. Always professional!

They have each improved their self confidence, poise, and sense of commitment through dance, and it's been wonderful to watch each of them develop different skills through learning the multiple disciplines offered at SLAD. The instruction, facility, and quality of choreography is unprecedented in the city of St. Louis. Kacy Voscuil, the artistic director, runs a world class operation which our family is so grateful to be affiliated with. You cannot beat the location, and the facility has just been remodeled and expanded making it easy to find the right classes for your child to fit in his or her busy schedule. SLAD clearly has an outstanding reputation in the community of professional dancing as evidenced by having procured a pretty impressive team of choreographers for the 2014-2015 season. We are all excited to see this business grow and flourish!

This place is for serious dancers only and not someone like us just wanting to learn a few steps for our wedding. They could really benefit from online scheduling or a dedicated secretary.

Shannon Jackson: From the minute I walked in the door back in July of 2018, Stan and Mary Collins (owners) not only made me feel welcome, they made me feel as if I could learn every genre of Ballroom dancing. Although I have a dance background, ballroom is an entirely different game. You have a partner and a whole new set of rules to learn and remember. The entire group makes you feel comfortable. You forget your learning and just begin to have fun which is what dancing SHOULD be all about! This studio is a family holding each other up or in inclass but at events and outside of the studio. So happy I joined and am taking lessons! Five just isn’t enough stars !

Sid Herman: Having been at the studio working with the professional dance instructors for 8 years. The dance instruction is well grounded in ballroom pedagogy and proper body mechanics. The group classes are affordable and a relaxed environment, more fun than a barrel of ferrets. Individual lessons and group instruction draws on the deep level of world class professional dance methods mastered by the professional instructors. Dance students also have the opportunity to train with world champions of dance as an occasional option. The studio and its dancers have won many awards at official competitions over the years. Also dancers are not required to bring a dance partner, though you certainly can bring a partner if you have one. U Can Dance has helped me find my inner shizzle and helped me to more effectively shake what my momma gave me. U Can Dance Studio, the place to find your happy dance.

Jamie Burnett: Do not feel like this is a legit dance studio. After questioning a suggestion by an operator about the need to purchase leotards and tights for a recital, was snubbed by the operator and a parent and offered financial assistance I do not need. Other parents gave the impression that they thought I was cheap for asking. Was told dancing is optional. Was told my opinion was valued, but it seemed more like a dismissal. Feel like they protested too much and are in it for the money because reactions to my questioning were overly emotional. My children like it, but they don't know anything else and I sense that this place charges more than it is worth. The teacher interacts well with the children, but I have not seen improvements comparable to a higher quality studio. Building is not well maintained (lights out for multiple weeks), and some parents are pretentious which makes it hard while waiting. Seems like Leaping Lizards is not really into dancing as much as promoting events. Also this is much less diverse than I would expect if it were really "all about the children" as I was told by an operator. I'm stuck with them for now, but hey, it's all about the children.
