Chris Diamond: St. Louis Academy of Dance is a great studio for both children and adults. Miss Kacy, Miss Emily, and the rest of the staff at SLAD are incredible! Their focus is on proper dance technique, not competitions, which we greatly appreciate. Always professional!

They have each improved their self confidence, poise, and sense of commitment through dance, and it's been wonderful to watch each of them develop different skills through learning the multiple disciplines offered at SLAD. The instruction, facility, and quality of choreography is unprecedented in the city of St. Louis. Kacy Voscuil, the artistic director, runs a world class operation which our family is so grateful to be affiliated with. You cannot beat the location, and the facility has just been remodeled and expanded making it easy to find the right classes for your child to fit in his or her busy schedule. SLAD clearly has an outstanding reputation in the community of professional dancing as evidenced by having procured a pretty impressive team of choreographers for the 2014-2015 season. We are all excited to see this business grow and flourish!

Kate Floyed: An inclusive place for everyone to move. All ages, demographics and skill sets. Arica has literally poured her blood, sweat and tears into this foundation, and it shows. Her and her staff are unrivaled in the industry. They give back to our community all the time, in so many different ways. Highly recommend for anyone that is just getting started in dance, wants to develop as a dancer, or if you're just looking to have a great time with great people.

Stella Hoft: I just took my first class back in the studio in over a year and wow did I miss it! CKDC is a wonderful place to dance, with an open and positive attitude for people of all levels and backgrounds. It also has very fun and creative styles and classes. Covid-19 definitely made me take a hiatus from the indoor activity scene, but upon my return I felt self and secure in a smaller sized class that took efforts to spread students out and took mask wearing seriously for the duration of the class. They also are making strong efforts to keep the space clean in between classes which gave me more comfort. I look forward to being able to dance again in 2021!

torrence morris: After a not so great meeting with the instructor, I decided against continuing with services. I requested a refund and was denied and told that I was not actually making a purchase, rather making a charitable donation to their 501c(3).The location is in the heart of one of STL's trouble zones and unfortunately this time, it serves as allusion to the character of those individuals who lead this 'charity'.After acknowledging that her employee needs to be retrained, I was later insulted for being an individual with a disability and told that the alternatives to a refund would be beneficial to "a person in my condition."

Brittany Trombley: First time at CKDC was with a trial adult musical theater class and it was wonderful. The energy was great and everyone is the class built up a good sweat. It was so much fun I didnt even realize that I got a bunch of exercise. Jordan Woods does a phenomenal job and the studio founder Arica Brown is highly encouraging and personal. As long as you have some basic knowledge of footwork, you will be able to keep up with everything. The movements aren't difficult, I just fumbled a few of the steps.Such a welcoming environment!
Nathan R: I decided to bring my mom to a dance class after years of her begging me to do so. It was wonderful. The staff at CKDC were not only welcoming to newcomers, but were adept in helping people of all skill levels enjoy themselves, and learn routines. I was the only male in the class (and perhaps in the building) but I felt very comfortable with the dance routines being taught, and truly enjoyed myself. I would sign up for classes soon before they get booked up! I would be a regular for sure. By far the best experience I have ever had with dance instructors.

Thomas Proctor: This is an amazing company. They have tons of innovative live performances. They also teach a plethora of drop in classes, no experience required, taught by amazing teachers!
Tracey Campbell: Love the teachers who also happened to be the instructors at my children's high school. My 17 year old has been wanting to take a class at the studio for quite some time. When we got there I couldn't hardly get her to leave. Everyone has different abilities and they embrace it at the studio.

Robin Durand: Bonjour,Nous avons déjà eu des soucis avec ce macdo cependant cela fait plus des mois que nous y sommes pas allée. Toujours est encore les même soucis, glace qui arrive fondu, 30 min de retard ( véridique) et plusieurs clients ce son plaints des retard commandes et certain clients son même parti en ce faisant rembourser. Le drive n'est pas mieux avec des erreurs fréquentes de commande et même des commande qui ne sont pas les nôtres. La concurrence pas qui n'est pas loin reste de meilleur qualités.
Jen McCallon: Manor Grove Nursing Home took a group of residents to see MADCO at the Touhill and I can't begin to tell you how great it was! And it wasn't just their fantastic performance (though that is true as well!!) it was their treatment of our folks too. We hadn't tried an outing like one before, and had some trouble with the parking of the bus and quick transfer of residents to wheelchairs and getting into the auditorium, AND THEY WAITED FOR US!! Sometimes at this stage of life, folks feel less important than they once did, and the waiting for us to be in and seated made our residents feel like honored guests....I can't say how much that meant to them and to those of us who love them. Thank you MADCO and Touhill!!!

jill sean: I was born in 1984 started dancing with Denoyer dance in kindergarten this place was my second home and family Mrs D was like a mentor and a grandma to all of us . I can't stress how wonderful this studio is I miss it so much and I know Mrs D is smiling down at all of us with pride I'm glad the new owner kept the studio the same name. Dance is music to the eye and I still watch my recital tapes and plan on getting my son into hip hop and other classes.

So confused here. I wasn't refunded the correct amount and nowhere near the amount of hundreds I was charged so I had to have my bank refund me. No thanks...
Tammy Meyer: DeNoyer has been our 2nd home for 2 seasons now. My son has taken tap and (mostly) hip hop. The teachers are patient and work wonderfully with the kids. Doug, the owner is always prompt with his responses and is always willing to work with the families. He is also open to suggestions and listens to concerns. It is located in South County and there is a male teacher for the Hip Hop class. I have looked at others and the teachers are female. Although I am quite sure they are good I think my son responds better to a male. Classes are reasonably priced and lots of different time slots for your convenience. There are 80 classes at this time so I am sure everyone can find a class that their child will love.

I had already set my table up-had to pack everything up and went home, frustrated, humiliated.I had forgotten all about it until I checked my bank account online and what do I see. They had the blatant audacity to CASH MY CHECK-that they said they did not have. The back is stamped Denoyer Dance Studio deposit only. Please tell me how are you going to take my money when I did not even participate. I have called and still I do not have my money back. Racist -I am so livid I do not have the proper words right now. Get my money back to me ASAP.

Maggie Taylor Berkowitz: Central studio offers a beautiful space for my Pilates practice and the equipment is fantastic. Even better than the aesthetics is the expert level teaching I have received from Laura Dunlop. Her knowledge of anatomy and Pilates work together to create a meaningful session that strengthens my weaknesses and leaves me feeling amazing when I walk out the door. Highly recommend!!
Julie Stern: I absolutely LOVE CENTRAL STUDIO! Mary Ellen is the most creative, kindest, inspiring leader! I discovered Central Studio over 5 years ago when I started a Pilates training/certification program. Throughout my training and beyond I felt supported, encouraged and mentored. I recommend Central to everyone from those who would like to start pilates or those who have been doing for years! Although I’m not involved in the children and adult dance programs, I like to watch the yearly production. I also can’t leave out the Collective Motion professional dance company. They visit schools and teach through the children’s books that Mary Ellen has written. One last thing, if you need a Thai massage, there are several massage therapists you will love!

Leah Johnson: I have been taking Pilates classes twice a week for 20 years, the last six at Central Studio. The owner, Mary Ellen Bryant, really listens to the needs of students, and I am delighted with the care they exhibit to each person who attends a class. We are always asked "how are your bodies feeling today" and the instructors do a great job of gearing the class towards the level of the attendees. Central Studio quickly adjusted to providing Zoom classes during the pandemic, helping us keep in shape by offering alternative ways to keep moving.
