Lee Fjord: DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!I hired them to perform PM services and after only a few weeks realized how poor their systems are and complete incompetence. They did work without bids being approved and then demanded payment as soon as it was 1/2 way done. I am now in a lawsuit against them as they do not want to give me the rents they collected in the final weeks of their 30 day notice period.

A MCKAY: DeLong Property Management and the amazing construction and maintenance crew gave their all to ensure I had an amazing property to move into on short notice. I had no choice but to relocate from a previous property because the owner had no interest in trying to ensure the home was maintained. Once I notifed Michael at DeLong Property Management, he and his staff found an available unit to fit my needs and did not stop until it was ready for move in which took about 3 weeks. This meant a lot to me because the weather outside was turning cold and it was just before the holidays. I wasn't sure if by Christmas we would be settled. Graciously this team gave their all to fit this unexpected work into the schedule and I am amazed at how beautiful it turned out; more than I could have imagined. Thank you so much for your one of a kind, hard work and kindness. You have truly have blessed my family by listening to the needs of othersthrough your service and your attention to quality in all that you do.

chris nantista: This company is a complete fraud. Michael Delong is a liar and a crook. If you are even considering doing business with these people, run for the hills. They took over our apartment complex and decided to do absolutely nothing during the transition. Everything we were told was a lie. We were with them for 3 months and we didn't receive one single report on our property, were overcharged for any work that was done, phone calls to tenants were not returned, and we are still owed over $100, 000 from them with a pending lawsuit. They are crooks! STAY AWAY!

Garrett McIntyre: DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! We had a 38unit apartment that we hired Delong to manage and it was a complete disaster from day 1. I don’t know where to start. 1) Very poor communication from the staff. 2) Could not put together a basic income/expense report. 3) Performing work orders and rehabs with out authorization from us and then charging a ridiculous amount for the work. 4) Once we realized Delong was a fraud, we fired their company and we are currently trying to collect our last months rent that they will not pay us. He will not return our calls or emails. We will probably have to go through litigation to recoup what we lost. Absolutely unprofessional from day 1. Please RUN!!!!

Stole rent, let work orders pile up, falsifying work they claimed was done, had double the vacancies than they claimed. Fired them 120 days after hired and they owe $80,000 in stolen rents. This was on a 76 unit apartment community. You've been warned!

Daniel Wilson: Literal criminal. Guy seemed really nice, got a tenant in the house, collected security deposit and 2 months rent (over 3 grand), never gave us a penny. Tried to reach out to them, totally ghosted us. Tried to leave a bad review on his website to warn others, website wouldn't let us then our antivirus blocked something from his website because of course the website of a criminal would have viruses (should have seen that coming). Now we're in the process of suing him to get our money back and will be pressing criminal charges.

Jordan Esch: HORRIBLE property management. When our property was taken over by them they changed the locks to our apartment because they thought the unit was vacant. I have two pets, and every inch of the walls covered with art, along with every room filled with furniture so how they thought it was vacant is beyond me. They left the new key to get into our apartment inside on the coffee table. Needless to say they locked us out of our apartment and gave us no way of getting in. We broke in through the back and contacted maramac to ask for two more keys and they would not provide them. Between the middle of November and now I have put in the same maintience request seven times. Our power goes off constantly, and the maintenance men say we have to many “things” plugged in. To many “things” consist of one tv, one lamp, and the refrigerator. So if I have the tv on and blow dry my hair it flips the breaker. One can imagine the headache that creates. With all this being said the property manager has no customer service, horrible communication, and no respect for tenants experience or living conditions. I wanted to rent month to month and was willing to pay more but instead would rather move thirty minutes away just to get out of this lease. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I would never rent a property from them again. Anna and Dara the property manager and maintenance coordinator lack the tentivness and assertiveness to run maramac valley properties.

We love the historical charm in each unit, but with modern conveniences. Their units are well thought out with all that you need and you won't find any place cleaner than these!There is some noise, but that is part of the experience of staying in the city. Parking has never been an issue. Access to the key for the unit is very easy and accessible. There are some items in the fridge for your convenience…….and let’s not forget about those Trader Joe’s snacks that are provided!You will not regret staying at one of SFShannon's places. They respond quickly to any of your needs and try their best to accommodate you.

Suzanne Renard: We feel at home in our little apartment at 4161 Magnolia. The wood floors give a rich feel to the space. It's a pleasure to cook in the kitchen with the original deep enamel sink and big pantry, with the back door open to the trees and the sounds of birds. It's amazingly quiet for being right in the heart of a big city. The maintenance staff is very responsive, efficient, and professional. We got lots of support on moving day--a warm welcome and information on the details of life in this beautiful building, from use of the laundry room, to enjoyment of the serene garden area. Architecture like this cannot be found in many cities. Cheers to SF Shannon for the great service they do for St. Louis in maintaining these venerable, historical buildings--and treating their tenants so well! Tom and Suzanne

Very accommodating and fast regarding my requests for and fixing maintenance issues and are very lenient to tenants and rent who've been tenants for years . Externally, the constant repairing of the elevator is a bit of a concern as far as safety using it. Need more parking options especially during the weekends.

Jenny Temple: Our stay with SF Shannon last weekend was perfect! It was the perfect spot to stay with our daughter. The apartment near Tower Grove was lovely! There were so many thoughtful touches from cold drinks in the fridge, to breakfast foods, to snacks and candy, and a wonderful selection of teas. Our daughter LOVES tea and she was quite impressed with the selection. Everything was so cozy and inviting from the moment we stepped in the door. There was a lovely collection of books, movies, games, large TV and very comfortable furniture and beds. Even the fold out couch was extremely comfortable. We loved all the beautiful windows and stained glass accents. The kitchen was small, but mighty. I don't think we have ever stayed somewhere with such a well appointed kitchen. It has everything we could need and some fun snacks and coffee and such. The neighborhood was wonderful. It was located across from a large beautiful park. We enjoyed poking around the farmer's market at the park on Saturday. It was also just around the corner from the botanical gardens.

T&C Christian: My recent stay at Anna's Retreat was so accommodating, and full of lots of thoughtful extras that made my stay extra memorable. The space is furnished with charm and unique touches that provide cozy comfort. As a courtesy, thoughtful amenities of sweet and salty snacks, along with eggs, bagels, butter, cream and coffee had all been provided! The bedroom's queen mattress and bedding were super comfortable. I also really appreciated the closet storage, luggage racks, and empty dresser drawers for staying organized. The bathroom was bright and outfitted with ample towels and toiletries for my five night stay. Anna's Retreat is nestled in the midst of a lovely neighborhood setting with great walk-ability, with a local eatery and coffee shop right next door. My hosts were very communicative and attentive to my comfort. The self check-in process was a breeze, and the new digital key system is a nice upgrade. I highly recommend Anna's Retreat as the perfect combination of convenience and cozy!

Mark Parmenter: SF Shannon is the most responsive and personal rental agency we have worked with. We have stayed in Ullrich Suite several times and one other apartment in the same building. The extra special treatment is always a real treat.

Daryl Monge: We had such a wonderful stay at this location. It has an at home feel and comfort. The full apartment feel with living room, full kitchen, and bedroom made things feel great.All of the amenities were appreciated. The fridge items and snacks were a nice addition. Of particular note was the fresh whole bean coffee with both a normal coffee maker and a French press. And I can't leave out the high quality chocolate bar!The Roku device is a particularly nice touch as streaming from mobile devices was very effective. It also meant we did not have to sign in to the local device with our personal accounts.It is a pleasant and safe feeling neighborhood close to public transit, which we used to attend a baseball game and visit the Gateway Arch.The hosts were very quick and helpful via the App with questions on things like transportation recommendations. Overall this was a awesome stay.

The rental is within walking distance to anything you may need. I was there two nights, parked my vehicle in a parking garage about half a mile away (there is closer parking) and didn't use it a single time during my stay. The host is extremely quick to respond to any questions you may have. As a property manager myself with 60+ rentals in Western North Carolina I am 1 jealous I dont have this rental in my portfolio and 2 was beyond grateful that for once I was not the one on the management side of it and was able to relax in this stunning rental. Laura Patidar: Cute vintage home, in a quiet area of St. Louis. Close enough to the attractions to go in less than 20 minutes but far enough to feel like your in a small city. It was perfect for my Husband, (newborn) Daughter, and I. We spent the week with my Mother (for mothers day) siteseeing in the city but could come back "home" in the evenings to a quiet house to relax and unwind. Arun Biswas: Very nice location in a working class neighborhood close to attractions and dining. The check-in and follow up from the manager was great and very responsive. This was a business stay and the proximity to downtown, universities and other attractions was great. The bungalow was quite clean and had a full kitchen with two large bedrooms. There was a full bath with tub, but it could use a makeover and was missing towel bars. Overall we had a great stay.

Abby Mannisi: I lived in a unit managed by Kingsland for 4 years and was finally able to move out in April 2023. When I originally moved in, a different company managed the unit and were always very responsive and helpful; once Kingsland took over, things were much different.We had an issue where deteriorating tuckpointing was letting water in to the apartment, damaging the plaster. The plaster detached from the wall, and bubbled out. I notified Kingsland multiple times of the situation and they neglected to rectify the issue until it resulted in over half of the plaster in my living room crashing down. Even still they refused to address the issue. I had to involve the city inspector, who demanded they fix it, and after months and months of stalling and trying to talk me out of having it fixed, they finally-- only after the city threatened to take away their landlord license-- fixed the issue. All throughout the ordeal, the office workers, especially Mechelle, were VERY RUDE and completely unsympathetic to the fact that my home was in a state of disrepair.This is just one of many negative experiences I've had with this company: pest problems that they refused to deal with, sewage backups, leaving our lawn un-mowed for months, issues with HVAC equipment not working properly, the list goes on.From my experience, Kingsland will be very kind and helpful when they stand to make money from the interaction, but as soon as you need them to fulfill their duty as a landlord, they will do anything they can to shirk their legal obligation to provide a safe, habitable dwelling. I would not recommend this company to anyone- If I could give 0 stars I would.

He always is organized and does a fantastic job taking care of all their properties and projects. We do a lot for other contractors but Kingsland is always the best to work for. They treat us right and fair. We also can tell that the care a lot more about their customers then other contractors do. Highly recommend Kingsland.

J B: I rented with GSP for about four years and my experiences with them were good; Amy was the nicest, most easiest landlord to work with. Very willing to work with you if in a bind. The only thing I did not care for was the maintenance company she used. She no longer presides over the management company, and a new lady has taken over (and I believe she has brought a new maintenance company in with her...yes)! Unfortunately I will be moving once my lease is up, but I would have no problem recommending GSP.

ms tolc: Visited 3100 Arsenal Street which is self tour and the unit door knob was detached and the door unlocked. This is the hood! The complex has potential if the Landlord and Management would put some care and love into it. The neighbors told me that the Management company does not company to fix anything and don't care about the place and honestly it shows. The complex is NOT appealing! It's the ghetto, I thought I was in a 3rd world country. The unit door was disgusting and dirty upon entering. No updates! No new paint! Old appliances. I called the police and I'm glad I did because I was scared someone was in the unit. Even the Officer was not happy at what she saw and said the owners need to know what is going on! The Leasing Agent flat out lied about the safety and condition of this unit. She needs to lose her license. She did not do her due diligence. It makes sense why she has self tour for this unit.

Aleta T: The BBB has an alert on this business for a reason. Overpriced poorly “refurbished” apartments, non-existent maintenance as soon as your lease is signed. Make sure you take photos and get a copy of your walk-through or they will rip you off. Upstairs was an Air BNB and management didn’t even notice until the unit was damaged, and they left the damage and an broken open window in a unit for half a year. The units have the cheapest and poorest construction I've ever seen. Stay away from this management company, they’re predatory.

This was the worst experience with renting I have ever had.Three friends and I recently rented from Smart Rentals and this was the worst experience any of us have ever had with a rental company. They took long periods of time to respond when we had maintenance requests. We had many issues with plumbing and even went 3 days without water. Our fridge broke and all of our food was ruined. Some of their maintenance workers didn’t have marked vehicles or shirts, so we weren’t sure if they were random people trying to come in our house or not.There was an outside door to the basement that workers would come in and out of without any notification. The lease did not state that they would be doing this. One weekend, the workers grilled and played music in our space outside our house, while going in and out of the basement.Two weeks before our lease ended, we could tell workers had been coming in and out of the house. Windows were left open, doors unlocked, lights left on, a strangers id was found upstairs. Some of our stuff got paint on it or was used to wipe up paint. Someone had opened a gift we had sitting in our living room.Trash from the workers was left in our moving boxes and filled our trash can and large black trash bags.The owner did a walk through and told us we should get our entire deposit back as long as everything is removed and that we won’t have to clean the place. We did not remove the trash from the workers because we didn’t want to throw away Their stuff. They took $400 out of our deposit. When they would tell us what we were being charged for , they kept giving us different answers. When we tried to call to discuss the deposit, they ignored our calls and never responded to voicemails. They charged us for the trash that was left and cleaning fees after we were told not to bother cleaning.Absolute worst experience I’ve ever had.Even their response to people’s complaints shows how unprofessional they are.

R Block: Edit... after signing my lease and getting keys from Carla I've had numerous issues, including the thermostat going out, plumbing having to get shut off due to a leak that took them 5 days to fix after putting in service order. Everything is automated after you sign the lease don't expect any assistance. I've emailed and they refer me back to the portal.... which can't address my concerns. Terrible experience. I would not recommend this company.
