Lou: The food was very good and the service was good too. The owner himself took care of us. When he made the marguitas, there was a little left, so when the drinks were somewhat drank, he came over and topped them off! It's a little difficult to find as it sits back off the road. Chris A: El Potro is easily overlooked and not very well known, but is a hidden gem. We used to go to Sunny's down the road but that place has certainly changed and seems always packed with people. We decided to give El Potro a try a while ago and it did not disappoint. The staff is super nice and attentive. It is much cheaper than other places and the food is authentic and very good. Pro tip: the house margarita imo is better than the cadillac. If you like a nice margarita with just a little tequila bite, it is perfect and only $10 for a jumbo. If you like super sweet and smooth you may like cadillac better. The complimentary chips and salsa were fantastic, clearly fresh and still warm. At this point we've tried queso, tacos, fajitas, quesidillas and they were all fantastic. It is never busy, which is nice for atmosphere but can't be good for business. Please support this place!
Beverly: First time here this afternoon. The salsa and chips are delicious, the salsa is flavorful and just the right amount of heat; the chips are a perfect thickness and very crispy. I had carne asada tacos, they were great - reminded me of tacos in San Diego. Great margaritas too. Excellent service as well. Will definitely be back!

Seth Arnold: Very friendly staff and delicious food with an unassuming storefront. This is a hidden gem of St. Louis. Skip the wait at Sunny's and come here as the food is much better without all the noise. Free chips and fresh salsa. The margarita pitcher will get you about 7 or 8 drinks. The chicken or steak fajitas are very good with quality ingredients and portions that allow for a follow up meal. Choriqueso is solid. Beans and rice are good. Everything is good here. Quit reading about it and go already.

Limited options on the menu and all dishes served were cold when we got them. We were only the third table in the restaurant. Definitely won’t recommend or return. Lessons learned.

Cote Brillant: Just like you, I found this place on Google maps and it was well worth the trip. They have authentic Hispanic food. I think based outta Honduras, the atmosphere was fine. Didn't really feel the Latin experience through decor, but I'm glad that the servers let me practice my Spanish with them. They were so nice and welcoming. The food portions were huge and it was tasty the first day bonus for my lunch the next day. I had some real guava juice it was really good. I can see myself coming there just for the juice alone. Highly recommend!
