Brent Daugherty: When I learned that I had to find a new place to live I called. The lady I spoke to was rather gruff and told me I missed the deadline to apply and then said I shouldn't be taking up spaces for thoses that need them.
Brittany J: A worker warned me indirectly to save my life and stay away from this place. I was told first come, first sold. If an agency is treating you bad , it’s a clear sign the place is not for you. I found when businesses go out of their way to be rude it’s a blessing in disguise. If you have a place to stay you can work some easy jobs to get yourself up. Warehouse, casual dinning, work from home, many easy wfh jobs in customer service. Do your research.
Renija Barnes: First off I called to Ask about something on my application and I was immediately met with disrespect and a bad attitude. She asked for my social security and hung up on me which was very odd. After she hung up it took her 10 call backs or more to pick up the phone. And when she finally picked up she became very combative with me for no apparent reason. She need to be fired. It shouldn't have been that much confusion on a couple of questions that I had. And by the way she was acting, I don't even trust her with my private information because of her delivery. If anything come up on my name after this date I know who to point fingers at. 💯

Me Me: What's really baffling to me is the restaurants are open at 50% capacity but the St Louis Housing authority is not and then we're calling our caseworkers and they're at home but they're not answering the phone so might as well open back up. Tory Blu is only person who has returned my calls.Update: 5 case workers sincnov.Calling caseworker since since Dec 29, here in person no knows anything.

My mom is elderly and lives on section 8 her building has no current HAP letters since 2017 and now they are threatening to evict my mother who just received a kidney and is not well I sick knowing a government office is not doing their job but if we go to court we will win I know for a fact
CeCi's Crib: I've been calling for months no answer ,I've been emailing everyone no answer I have no client analysis I've been asking for a number to someone who can help me with questions, I wrote a office on appeal in February still no response...I went to office wasn't allowed in still no answer ,I just pray to god I hit a jackpot or something so I can get off of this ...its not easy being on section 8 ,I dont know anything about anything I feel Trapped where I live because how can I ever move if I don't have any help answering a question...idk what to do anymore they just wont respond this is depression daily I'm lost without any clue what to do...covid is over why are t these people helping out the clients
RHONDA DAVIS: Trying to help a client! I have reached out to her caseworker several times no return calls in 48 hours. Emails she doesn’t respond. No one answers the reception phone. She responded via email saying she would call and offered her apologies and that never happened! This office sucks. Tax payers dollars gone to waste while everyone is thinking it’s the recipients it’s the employees who answer to no one not doing there jobs getting paid to do nothing. This lady voice mail is full every day in the evening and empty I. The morning but still no call backs. She is not responding to the landlord to get paperwork moving.

Maureen Meyer: I am not being paid by section 8. What kind of message does that send to tenants. When I inquired why. Reply was they are short staffed and the file is being updated. Already behind 3 months payments. Nov 2021 Dec 2021 and Jan 2022. This happened about a year ago also. They eventually caught up. This hurts when you depend on that income to pay taxes, insurance, bills etc.

Andrew Craswell: As a landlord, it's near impossible to work with this office. It appears to be policy that they don't answer the phone. Documents are lost without explanation. Inspections return ridiculous findings (had 3 separate contractors tell me they've never seen a worse inspection report). By the time you've jumped through all the hoops, the voucher will have expired. Save time and money, go elsewhere.It's a shame. The tenants themselves are great, worthy, responsive, and in need of assistance from competent public servants. Tax dollars are being wasted here.

Cheryl Hager: It's not Beyond Housing that I really visited. They've hosted a native plant sale for the second year in a row. They also installed a rain management system that is worth learning about.Edit: the picture shows the flowers that are waiting to go into the ground. #grownative
Marlen Jackson: This agency is full of it!! Another nonprofit organization NOT making a difference in the community. Another 501C3 organization declared just for grants and avoidance of taxes.Jessica Burton gets inquiry forms that’s submitted online and replies declining applications for not enough income or not enough occupants. No wonder the homeless population is so large in St. Louis guess it’s safe to say their mission is not to end homelessness.

JAJaja w: Another company in a community that needs aid and assistance and poses as a non for profit. In reality, their primary goal is to pay their employees using government funding as a way to gain wealth by “servicing the community.” I would be interested to see if the owners of this organization live in the same community for which they provided this aid. DOUBTFUL. The lack of care and insufficient work done by these “professionals” is laughable at best. They were hired to repair a plumbing issue in the main upstairs bathroom. $27,000, 1 Illegal threat, and 8 months later, not only is the issue still present, the contractors hired (who are extremely unprofessional) caused additional damages to floors ceilings, and walls that were not there before. This is a Terrible company. Do not do business with them. They are just trying to benefit from being a small business to get government-funded grants posing as a non for profit. Worst kind of corporation to masquerade as.

Please to live I’m more than grateful that Saint Clair County housing Authority in Belleville. Illinois helped me and my family get a whole East St. Louis Housing Authority. They need to shift them down. They’re no good to families in need.

Lauren Wilson: This place should be externally audited and taken over directly by HUD themselves.. The Roosevelt homes are so dilapidated they are not fit for a dog to live in them.. They are outdated.. My apartment has mold growing in it and is in need of over 50 repairs for the last 2 years and nothing has been done!! I have turned in a page list of repairs over 3 months ago nothing has been done. Bullet holes in walls not patched etc. No screens in half the windows and safety doenst provide you with a copy of your own reports.. The rental office is NEVER open to make complaints. I dont know who funds this place but your investment should be payed closer attention to!
