Spirit On Pine: what do users think?
Napkin: Very decent place to live. Cheap affordable apartments with nice views from every window. Very spacious and everything in apartment just works as it should plus there is regular maintenance checks in the building at least 3 to 4 times a week so if something does break it won’t be broken for long. The washing machines are cheap and can be used with an app. I believe dishwashers come with every unit. And they have military discount. My only problems are that the elevator is extremely slow, the hot water is barley hot and only last for like 5 minutes (although it might just be a me problem and I can get maintenance to fix it), the parking sucks, and there’s no intercom system to let people in from your apartment. You have to use the latch app they provide and give someone a temporary code which is fine but I don’t see what’s wrong with just having an actual key and intercom system, I’d rather have that.
Raven: Look, the apartments are nice however, they only offer street parking. There are tons of car break ins around the area they target this area. They offer no amenities. No gym, nothing but a laundry room downstairs. There is an event space on the first floor that stays open until 12-1 am and the attendees stand outside, sing songs loud, and congregate in front of the building. The elevators break down at least once a month. The leasing company is always looking for new ways to charge fees. If you can do better just do that.
The Dragon: From my experience, an apartment building is only as good as the management company/owner. I’ve lived in this building for several years with 3 or 4 different property management companies with nothing positive to say. Until Now. The new owners have made some very nice improvements to the building in a short time. Cosmetically and structurally. I have enjoyed living here and would definitely recommend living here. The only CON is the parking. If i'm being honest, The parking situation is the only reason I’m moving and the only reason I gave 4 Stars instead of 5. I'll try to keep it short. You live in the city and park on the street, your car will be tampered with -- period. The other downside is you will have to fight for a parking spot. Especially if there is a Blues game or an event nearby. I’ve not left my apartment on occasion because I didn’t want to loose my spot. You will have a parking permit and there are signs posted for permit parking only but the signs go mostly ignored and the city doesn’t really enforce them. Also, set aside some $$ for parking tickets. I’ve spent lots over the years. But anyway, if you can live with the parking situation, I would differently recommend living here and I would live here again in the future if the parking situation has changed. The apartments are nicely updated with bamboo flooring, Lots of space, large windows with great views of the city. Especially on the higher floors. I will miss the view from the top floor.
Peter Taylor: Historical building that is well kept and well managed. Public areas are clean and inviting. Nicely structured apartments. Floor plan (at least in my unit) is spacious and adequately laid out. Ongoing renovations (roof, elevators) keeps this lovely building modern and a pleasant place to be and live.
