Alonzo Jones: Upon arrival entering the room there was a 1/25 of toilet paper amongst two adults. To my surprise there were no additional toilet paper. fancy hotel with TVs in the bathrooms, but then I soon find the telephones didn't work. In addition to that I could not control my own temperature (It was chilly) that also did not function. On the following day I come step out of my room to find piles of the linens from the room next door in front of my hotel room door. Vacuum that was stashed also adjacent to room. I then express my concerns with the staffing downstairs once w "Shanae", then another w "Crystal". It took me 3 staff members (a gentleman off the clock) at almost 11pm at night to finally retrieve any of my concerns met. Before leaving this review I requested a call back from management "Drummond Riles" on 2 different occasions..Nothing.. So here you go Hotel Saint Louis...
Larry Rhines: I loved working there it's got the quality and professional standards that are second to none. I would also like the thank everyone I met there for the experience and dedication that is put in everyday by those there.
Matthew McKinney: Poor service, particularly for an autograph collection property. Left a message with a manager after being redirected by frontline staff (who were wonderful) and did not receive any follow up. Staff at desk were great, rooms and location were nice. Lobby outside the guest rooms were dirty with trash and old cleaning supplies left out on the floor. Would try one of the many other options in the city/would not return.
Carolyn Adams: This was my first time staying at this location and I absolutely loved everything from the people,,to the rooms,to dinner reception.. We had a balcony room which I loved and I also love that they have a rooftop bar and pool.Rooms: The rooms were absolutely gorgeous. Even came with the old school record player with the records.Food & drinks: They have a rooftop bar and grill where you can get drinks and order appetizers.

Robert Hillman: As far as the rooms go, they're really neat. The building is really cool. The front desk staff and bar staff are really professional and knowledgeable. Loved having a record player in the room. I did place a room service order at 1015pm (the website when you scan the barcode in the room says it's open until 11) and waited until 1115 for anything to show. Nothing did. Called them downstairs and was told it actually closes at 10. Maybe update your website or at least have it not allow you to put the order through or even give me a notification that it didnt go through. Otherwise a really nice place.

Tim McNabb: Shout out to the staff - Sharona (front desk) and Lisa (event coordinator) were wonderful to work with. My team needed a place to stay during inclement weather and the OYO provided a safe, convenient and welcoming place. I understand the pool was warm and inviting and a appreciated remedy to cold weather. I did not stay there, but I heard nothing but good things. Thanks to all!
Galilee1964: So, after booking and paying for a room online from another city, I arrive and there is a sign on the door of the office saying that they no longer honor online reservations. When I said I had a reservation, she pointed at the sign, and I said "Yes, I see that, but I couldn't see it when I was in another city making the reservation." The lady told me that I should ask for a refund but I needed to pay her right then if I wanted a room. They also have their phone disconnected. I went to check out after 6:00 a.m. and the office doors are all locked and I can't reach anyone.
Nkechi Hood: First of all, this is not a hotel, it is a MOTEL. I arrived at the motel as a last resort since the one next door was overbooked and it was the middle of the night. The area was sketchy, the room smelled horrible, the beds looked like somebody just threw the cover on it and was not changed. There was a weird stain in the bathroom that I refuse to try and identify. I could hear what sounded like a couple fighting thru the walls. I immediately felt unsafe and left. I would rather sleep in my car than even put my bags down in that roach motel. Zero stars if it were possible.
Yuliya Sidis: I wish I read these reviews before my trip. As some already mentioned they say they didn't have online reservations since the beginning of the year. As it was late I decided to book a room on the spot and talk to customer service once I'm back home. Big mistake. Besides the fact that the room was dirty, the bathroom was a total nightmare and there was not even water in the shower. I came back to the reception and asked for a refund. I was told that they don't d refunds after 15 minutes. The room was absolutely inhabitable.I had to leave and find another hotel in the middle of the night.After I came back I contacted customer service. They told me they will investigate and get back to me. No one ever contacted me. Bookings.com where I did the initial reservation send me an email today:"We have coordinated with the property about your request; however, we were unable to gain approval to process any refund."Both are total SCAMS.

Samm M: If I could rate this a 0 I would have. The most uncleanliness I have ever seen in a hotel of all the years I have traveled. I should have seen the red flags when I saw the sign that said “after 15 mins you will not be refunded” and after paying for the room the worker telling me “let me know if you change your mind”. The curtains were ripped, the pillows were very old and dirty without pillow cases, the beds looked like they only threw the comforter back up instead of even stripping the bedding to be washed, there was dirt on almost every wall, the bathtub looked so horrific I wouldn’t dare to take a shower, and even the bathroom door had only one hinge barely attached to where the door was dragging on the ground and wouldn’t shut. I felt so uncomfortable even sleeping for 4 hours on the bed and slept without a pillow because of how dirty they were. These pictures don’t look like the rooms there whatsoever. Absolutely a scam and not worth $75 a night. I honestly would have rather slept on concrete outside than this. I am beyond surprised the health department hasn’t shut this place down.

An unhappy Customer: Very dirty run down room. One of my pillows had no case. 2 sad tore up towels, 1 hand and 1 larger. Dirty bathroom nasty tub still had hair from someone eles. Someone said something about oyo brand shampoo etc. All my room had way 2 circle oyo bar soaps. It was just not good. Hard floors through out whole room and dirt was everywhere. Dirty walls. No ice or at least no bucket if there was ice. It in absolutely no way looked like the picture. I mean to charge 65 dollars omg and since its by the airport, out of towners who stay here....smh I can only imagine what they think of St. Louis. Plus when I called I was told no rooms when there were rooms. Smh should have just listened to the man on the phone who was not the clerk behind the counter by the way. The only good thing was the guy who worked the counter over night, he was a cool dude
ashley smith: So nasty!! The floors made my feet black. The shower was so disgusting. There was cigarette burns all over the comforter and no fitted sheets. There was what seems to be semen stains on the headbord. The pillows were yellow. And lastly it smelled like someone was cooking crack in there right before. Would NOT recommed to anyone, iwouldnt even let a dog stay there.
Rae: Booked this hotel because I had a Dr appt in St Louis. The lady at check in was extremely rude and unprofessional. We showed up on time at exactly 3pm. She first told us “our room wasn’t ready”. And then said we needed to go stay somewhere else and that half the place was closed. Then refused to also give us a refund. DO NOT even attempt to stay here. Might have been a blessing in disguise because even the lobby was nasty, dirty, and stank.

Christina Johnson: I booked an event with this company venue and was very dissatisfied with the service they had to offer. I set together an entire menu service with appetizers and buffet for wellmy family and friends coming to celebrate my baby shower with me. I was so excited about the view and the place and the menu that provided me. The venue to rent was $750 and the tota amount for food was $2600 for 45 guest . I had high hopes the food was going to be great but my guest and I was blown back from what we were served. The appetizers were cold and clammy. (Meatballs, crab cakes, chicken sliders etc). When the Italian buffet came out that’s when everything started to go down hill. I was trying my hardest to stay happy and positive because my Fiancé ended up proposing in the middle of the event. The total for the entire venue was over 4 grand and even after running out of food, food being cold and servers not tending to us we still ended up paying over 3 grand for the event which was ridiculous to me because the room rental was only $750. Me and my friends and family still had to go out to eat after the occasion. It was a very special day to remember for me and I’ll always remember their service.

Veronica “Ronnie” Valentin Astacio: Overall, my husband and I had a decent experience staying at the Moonrise Hotel. While there were a few drawbacks, such as stains on the bedding and bathroom walls, the lack of hand soap, and stiff towels, the receptionist was very friendly and welcoming. The vintage space age memorabilia was cute, a bit kitschy but nicely themed. We enjoyed the rooftop bar, which provided a relaxing atmosphere and great views of the skyline and St. Louis arch. However, we were disappointed to find that one of the two elevators was out of order and that using the stairs to reach the rooftop was not an option. We also found it confusing to navigate the parking situation, as we were instructed to park in a specific lot labeled "valet parking" even if we weren't paying for valet service. Finding food after 7pm was a bit of a challenge, and the broken white noise machine didn't help with getting a good night's sleep. Despite these issues, we appreciated the hotel accommodating our request for a picture of Roxanne Wolf from FNAF in our room, which was a fun touch. In summary, the Moonrise Hotel is a decent option if you're attending an event at the Pageant next door, but it's not without its flaws. Paid $170 for one night stay in the king room with a jacuzzi.
