Brandon Mccoy: Crimson Serpents Outpost had been on my must visit places in STL when I visited my in-laws. We didn't get to visit STL in 2020 but had a chance to get a visit in 2021 and the outpost was a mandatory place to check out. I'd been perusing their online catalog in anticipation of my visit and was very excited to spend some time looking through their collection. The other thing I needed was a replacement belt. I picked up some denim from Railcar Fine Goods and some Blundstone boots. I ordered two belts to be delivered back home to Ohio. The belts came today and they are extremely high quality and gorgeous. If you are looking for quality made goods, this is a must visit.

You’ll find options for clothes, shoes, belts, hats, masks, soaps and gels, etc that you can’t just find in the mall. Not to mention the staff is very knowledgeable about their products and you can always count on a great conversation while there. They have custom leather works which is great for gifts. Karen Williams: I took my fur coat in to get an estimate on what it would cost to restyle it into a vest. The white lady treated me as if I had stole her first born grand child. She is the rudest person I have ever encountered. She was demeaning and nasty. She tried to talk me into making something else, even though I could have swiped my card for a brand new fur. I will never patronize this establishment ever again. I have read other reviews about this lady. The company need to get rid of her, she should not work in customer service. If there was such thing as a half of star rating, I would not even give THAT!!!!! #lostAGoodCustomer.

Monica Hamell: 8/17/2022I patronized the Fur Centre located at 7901 Clayton Rd, Clayton, MO 63105 on June 4, 2022 and purchased The Kiki Bolero New Natural Red Fox. I placed the jacket on the lay-a-way plan on June 4th for $1,200 and put $300.00 as a down payment. I agreed to 6 monthly installments of $150.00 to pay the jacket off in time as a Christmas gift to myself. I received an email alert 8/16/2022 saying the Fur Center was having a Summer Clearance sale so I clicked the link and saw my jacket was listed for $850. I called the Fur Center and was advised that since I already had my jacket in lay-a-way a price adjustment could not be made and all sales were final. I spoke with the owner who advised my specific jacket was not on sale only the Cherry Red, Black and white were on sale. I kept telling her it was and I had pictures on my phone. She told me there was nothing she could do and if I canceled my lay-a-way I would loose all my money that I've paid towards my jacket thus far which was $600. I feel as a Business Owner there was no empathy shown to myself as a customer and I let her know my mother has been patronizing this company for over 30 years and that's the reason I wanted to do the same. But after this type of service I will take my business elsewhere! I'm very disappointed with the staff and being BULLIED over the phone. There was no RESOLUTION just the STAFF and the OWNER telling me there was nothing they could do for me! This business is a JOKE! If I could give 0 stars I would! Keep your money as there are other Furrier Companies in the metropolitan area that I'm pretty sure treat their customers with Empathy, Dignity and most of all Respect!

Aaron Caton: They sewed a patch on a jersey and the quality was laughable. I don't even know how to sew and I could have done better than what they did. They also altered a shirt for me and again appear to not actually know how to do this. Everything needs to be fixed and the patch on the jersey has hundreds of holes in it now.
Julia McDonald: I needed the sleeve openings on a dress made bigger. Jose exceeded my expectations and did a very quick turn around. It doesn't get any better! I am so pleased. I will be returning.

Lindsey Zoellner: I initially took a pair of sandals to be fixed. It was something that my sewing machine couldn't handle, but was a pretty simple fix. Other places were saying that it would take months before they could get to it and their prices were higher. I took them to JG and got them back the same day in less than 10 minutes, no appointment. Plus, I also took in a purse that had a strap that broke. Not only did he fix that in the less than 10 minute time with my sandals, he also fixed a buckle that I thought couldn't be replaced. He did an AMAZING job! They're friendly, well priced, quick and go beyond what is asked. I will be going back with any of my repair needs.

Bought a bag from goodwill for $20, need to have 2 little hoops to replaced and he asked for $120. No kidding!Also a couple of years I brought several pairs of my shoes there to have them fixed. Some of them after wearing a couple of times, they all went back to square one! Glue came off, stitched came out…A place to waste money with low quality! Sorry
Kay Easter: I took my designer bag in to get a strap replaced and was told that it would be ready in about 1-2 weeks, so I was like ,"No Problem", 3 three weeks passed and I decided to call and check on my bag and was told that they hadn't started on it yet...So I was like,"Ok(feelingconfused), but the person was very apologetic and my bag was finishesd within the next two days I'm grateful for that but my thing is how long would my bag had sat there being overlooked if I hadn't called....nonetheless they did an excellent job fixing my strap,I have a vintage gucci bag so actually the new and improved strap gave my bag new life and they were very apologetic like I said before..I just wish their communication skills were better...
Rebecca Davis: I recently had a Gucci belt get some extra holes punched in it since it was a bit too big. I received a call for it to be picked up only an hour after it was dropped off! The holes look perfectly spaced out, and match the previous existing holes.It took staff a little while to find my belt when I picked it up, which raised my anxiety a bit. Just a suggestion: it might be helpful to have an arranged “pick up” spot with name tags attached to ensure all staff know where items are.I would highly recommended for any belt alterations!

Kathi Peters: What a wonderful experience it was to work with JG Sewing & Leather Repair!I sent a chat message through their website on a Sunday evening, and had a response within a few hours.A rivet on my grandson’s belt (of very sentimental value) had pulled through and I was hoping to get it repaired before Christmas.On Monday evening, I was warmly greeted by Nancy, at the front desk, and Jose’ discussed options with me.I left the belt with them, and received a courtesy email and voicemail, on Thursday, that it was ready!The belt was repaired and conditioned to look nearly new. With the quality of the work, I expect the belt to last many, many more years!

Charles Mitchell: I’m amending my earlier review in deference to Jose, who has been consistently friendly, communicative, and professional; offering skillful service at a fair price he has altered or repaired several vintage coats for me.Yesterday I brought in a 40 year old flight jacket to be evaluated for reconditioning. In his absence the assistant looking over the jacket was rough with it and ignored my request to take it easy with the material. The second I stated in a stronger, firmer voice “take it easy” this person became laser-focused on her belief I was being abusive and her desire to become confrontational. After a brief, ridiculous change with this self-righteous child I left in short order; she was toxic and confrontational - because I asked her to be careful.Calling back later to discuss this with the owner she answered and refused to simply take a message but continued to be confrontational and assured me the owner “didn’t want to talk to me”; which sounded more like her decision than his. Finding her toxic at every turn, I hung up and moved on to another vendor. Trust me; dealing with this millennials’ fragility, combativeness, disrespect, and unprofessionalism is not worth it. If you walk in and see a young woman with short, bright orange hair in the work-space and Jose is not there, I’d advise turning around and either calling later or finding another vendor. The same skills can be found elsewhere without the toxicity.
Rich M.: I bought a new pair of hunting boots months back when the price was right. Got them out of the box Saturday to hunt in and a boot lace ring popped out as I was tying them up. ( lesson learned; lace them up firmly when trying them on at the store ) Hard to find a shoe repair place open on Monday but I called this place and they acted like "No Problem". Responded Tuesday morning and the Gentleman took the old ring and had the boot good as new in less than 2 minutes. May not seem like a big deal to alot of people but it was a whole lot cheaper than a new pair of boots. I drove down there from St. Charles and I would and will do it again if ever in need of their services.

Ryan Quitmeyer: I had given her my mink trapper hat to fix. She insisted I also get it cleaned. $75 for the repair, $25 for the cleaning. I agreed and thought it was a decent investment for a nice fur piece. I picked it up, paid her the $100, turned to leave and put on my hat as I left the shop, and realized one of the holes I was having her repair was not even sewed up. I just now got home and noticed TWO other holes were not fixed. I will be going back and complaining, but come on, girl. You had my hat for almost a month and never fixed what I brought it in for. I want some money back. I would recommend using a more professional service.

After the first of the year, I made my pilgrimage to obtain my inserts for my daily planner.As I entered the store, I was promptly greeted by multiple staff members and one stepped out from behind the counter to assist me. I told her, I'd be a quick and easy sale, I showed her my planner and requested the daily insert.They were sold out. I wasn't surprised, since it was after the first of the year and most by them at year end. She did show me the weekly insert, but I'm a daily organizer. She offered to order me one and asked if I wanted to pick it up at the store or have it shipped to me home. I opted for my home, since I live an hour away. She quickly processed the sale and thanked me for my business.The shipping was as quick as a shipment from Amazon Prime. My purchase made at 10:46AM and I was notified that it had been shipped at 11:36AM on the same day. To my surprise, the package arrived at 1:35PM the very next afternoon. When I opened the shipping box, my purchase was presented as if I bought it in the store. That is, Excellent Customer Service

I took It back to store and sales person named Justin exchanged it for a new one. Few days later when I took it out of the box and wore it first time I found several threads coming out. Took the defective product to the store on 01/9/23 approximatly 3:15 Pm to return the defective garbage product. The sales man said they have to have manager look at it. "DeAndre" the store manager comes out he was very rude and arrogant. His partner was very rude and racist white man. Him and his partner who was with him lied first by saying that it is normal for threads to come out (so basically Louis Vuitton sells garbage). Then he refused to return it. I told them this is very unfair that they have sold me a defective piece. He told me that I can call Louis Vuitton customer service all I want and smiled and said they will not do anything for you.I was hoping they would offer to repair the defective piece or send it back for quality control issue but they decided to be sleazy commission hungry failed sales people with no regards to customer service. Horrible experience at this store. Unprofessional lying employees like DeAndre and his partner and the rest of the staff makes you never want to buy anything of this brand. What a shame!

I stopped in the store to exchange a Christmas gift (I had the gift receipt) purchased online by my husband and she informed me that I would not be able to make the exchange unless they called the gift giver and received permission to exchange it. This is absolutely ridiculous, I had everything I needed to make the exchange. She said it was too bad, it’s policy. This is completely unacceptable customer service for any brand let alone luxury brand.

Francesco Cappai: Let me preface by saying this is not about the store but about the brand. Two years after purchasing a $600 watch case, the side unglued itself. They wanted to charge me for the repair because there were 4 watches in the case instead of 3 (these were very small watches and the case was in no way over stuffed). Also the case was barely used in its 2 years of life. Why spending so much money when on a brand that clearly builds its products to be so cheap?

Even though i purchase online I am impressed with how well they present my items. One associate struggled to slow down and act interested in me as a customer so i left without looking at other things i wanted.

My husband purchased the ONTHEGO GM for me forChristmas from STL and then in January purchased the Felicie Pochette for my birthday at the Naples, FL store. By Easter I notice the Pochette had the leather edging coming off. Most of the time it was in my ONTHEGO as my wallet. The edging was very noticeably coming off which my friends noticed. My large bag also had definite worn patches on the four bottom corners of it. I was shocked at such a luxury brand! I took them back to the St. Louis LV and inquired about what could be done. I was told this was normal wear and tear. Ridiculous! My friends could not believe that they would even allow for edging to be noticeably coming off of their luxury product! I’ve owned them for 4 months! I took my purse to the Naples, FL LV, where my husband purchased the smaller purse. They were so professional. Immediately they said this is NOT normal wear and tear. This was a defect and they replaced my purse for me.I will be coming back to the Naples LV. I will NEVER step foot back in the St. Louis LV. You should be ashamed of your customer service!

An amazing person: The clothes are either overly oversized or too small. I did not see a coat section at all this time. There used to be a lot of coats and clothes several years ago. Several years ago there were much better quality brands. One time we went here and waited 20 minutes to check out. It took them 3 different cashiers and a “manager” to come out to process a payment. Zero empathy and the manager did not even look at us. Bad service.

Tamika Staten: I filled my cart full of some great items… only to realized that the fitting rooms were closed and apparently had been closed longer than some employees had been working there. Not knowing how any of the items fit, I left them. Because who wants to buy them, go home and try them on, only to drive 45 mins back to do a return if something doesn’t work? Not me.Also, don’t ask me to “come back and visit soon” until the fitting rooms are open.

Just for him to not only insist in a larger size that I knew wouldn't fit, but to, against my wishes & without my knowledge, make me buy that incorrect & far larger than needed size. I would have thought it was an accident if he hadnt been so insistent on the larger size. Even after I told him a minimum of 3 times before purchase that I did not want the larger size. I was passing through town to go to the other side of the country, and now have to stop back there on my way back home, to make an exchange on something that should have been right. I would expect better from the Gucci store. Also, considering the obvious dollar amount that someone spends in a store like this, I would reasonably believe that not only the product, but the customer service should be of the utmost quality. Overall VERY disappointed in this location and will likely not come back when passing through again, after my exchange is made. I do not appreciate the employee thinking he knows better than me on what size belt I need.
