Michael Gentry: Sentry is without a doubt the best property management company in the St. Louis area. Their Community Managers are some of the most dedicated service providers you will ever have the pleasure working with. I work mostly with Robert Hill, Dawn Huelsmann and Sallie Harris. You will not find people of higher integrity.I highly recommend them.

The Florida management company was always in problem create and ignore mode. There are plenty of problems here, but Sentry, especially Jeff Kronenberger, is efficient in resolving problems and gracious to all residents. They could teach the Florida folks a thing or two.

It was not an easy transition, but now, a few years later, they have earned their five star rating. Robert Hill, our manager, is outstanding in his responsiveness. We have worked through all our initial accounting issues and are delighted with the reporting. We are learning all the other features and products Sentry offers. They recently helped us improve our banking relationship resulting in better interest rates. Obviously, I am delighted, and I can say the other board members would probably rate the same way!

Prior management did so little to help out that she was a welcome relief for all of the changes that needed to be made for the villa community. And then as of January 2023 began the process of taking over the master - common ground. She’s had to learn very quickly to get us all (300+) homes on the same page. We are thankful for smith management and their personnel for directing Elizabeth to us.

We reached out to the Smith Group regarding the lack of attention to the common areas in our subdivision and he acted immediately ensuring that we were on the scheduled for landscaping and the job was done within days. James Clark: Our parking lot and security gate and garage door has been open for 3 nights. With all the crime we expected Smith to pay for overnight security.Recently, our fire alarm system was down and they paid a personal friend’s company thousands to walk around the building……
Gail Lineback: I wouldn’t give one or even a half star for Smith. You can never talk to anyone, they don’t call back, don’t care and change reps constantly. They must be at happy hour all day.
David Johnson: Hands down the most frustrating company I have ever had the misfortune of being forced to deal with. On my list of pro's and con's about selling my house, they are on the pro side, as in "Pro, I'll never have to talk to Smith Management ever again."Getting through to them on the phone is impossible. Calling during business hours immediately goes to voicemail. If you're very lucky, they'll return your call a week later at off hours, leave you a phone number that goes to VM and never call you back again, or even better a partial message with half a phone number.Setting up auto pay is deliberately obfuscating so they can generate fees. If you manage to do do so, they'll conveniently upgrade their system and kick you off auto pay without notice so they can wrack up more fees.Trying to log back into their website to set it up again? Too bad, they'll claim to have sent you a letter that never showed up that has your new login info in it (super secure guys, thanks).I am editing, after a thirty minute drive from my house I spoke in person with Paige who was able to help me. 1 additional star added for her.That said, The trip should never have been necessary in the first place and the 26 dollar fee for using a credit card is outrageous. I also spoke with an employee decorating a Christmas tree who explained she'd shut her phone off because her computer froze up. Imagine thinking that was an acceptable way to treat incoming calls in this day and age. Now I get to spend half an hour driving back home.*Edit* 4 months after posting this review, they have once again deactivated my autopay without telling me. I'm paying a late fee, and arguing with my HOA president over it. I have removed their 2 stars to a 1 star again.
