He won’t try to up sell you or give you some ridiculous high rate to fix it. When it gets busy during the summer sometimes it’s hard to get a call through, but it’s a local owned business and there’s not a lot of staff. If you leave a message he’ll get back to you. When he worked on my car I had dropped it off to be looked at since he was so busy, he contacted me the next day and explained to me what was wrong and what would have to be done to fix it. I didn’t feel pressured, I appreciated how he explained it to me in depth and he quoted me a very fair price. I hope that someone else finds this review helpful because I actually chose to go here based off researching shops and reading reviews online. If you want someone who is going to do the job right this is the place to go. It’s hard finding old school mechanics like him nowadays, and it’s nice to know they still exist.

Matt Bilyeu: I hate taking my car somewhere to have it worked on. I'm the guy that my friends and family ask when a car issue comes up. When I called Dave out of lack of time and frustration on one final bit of my AC replacement I didn't know what to expect. He immediately struck me as knowledgeable and experienced and knew exactly the piece I was having trouble with. He completed the work quickly, and what he charged was very reasonable if not downright cheap. I find myself wishing I'd known about and contacted Dave first rather than doing the rest of the work myself. I wouldn't think twice about taking a car to Dave again, nor would I think twice about recommending him to anyone. My understanding is he does take on some other jobs outside of AC repairs. There was no mention of warranties. So I went to auto zone bought jack stands and installed the part myself. Now my tachometer works, better fuel economy and no problems starting the vehicle. I will update if my after market cps doesn't last a year (the oem warranty). Otherwise I updated my review because the all caps seemed aggressive 😅

I called 5 minutes after they opened, and asked if I got my car towed there, if they could get to it that day? After I described what happened- Hamza told me I could.I read reviews from several other places while trying to decide what to do. There’s always that concern you’ll get gouged for anything/everything and at the mercy of the experts honesty… What really made Benchmark stand out to me was not just the many (well deserved) positive reviews, but it was the responses to negative comments as well. Hearing the other side made a world of sense- and in my opinion- the complainers seeming simply unreasonable.I highly respected keeping it real like that! My intuition was right, and this place has earned my entire trust after just one visit. I’ve seriously never had my car fixed so fast! I’ve also never had someone look at my car upon arrival to diagnose the issue! (I’m usually told to just leave it there, and won’t even be given a guess as to what to expect)For that reason, I’m never going to Dobbs again!! Jonah Shah: Charged me $261.17 to put in a Duralast Gold battery (JCI24F-DL). Instead put in a Super Start Economy battery, which is $90 cheaper and much lower quality. I tried to politely confront him later, and rather than admit his mistake he crossed out the part number, trying to hide evidence.After I filed a dispute with my credit card company, they created a fake story of our encounter and provided false evidence to the credit card company to void my dispute. Now my only recourse is taking them to court, which would be prohibitively expensive and time-consuming. Instead I’ll pay it forward to the next customer. Do not go here.Service:Battery

McChubbs: I took my 2016 Kia Forta in after hearing a thumping sound while driving. They fixed me up and sent me on my way. The noise, however, came back and was louder and violent. It was loud enough that I felt I needed a tow back to the shop. I was very irate and rude when I called them back on the phone. Jeanie was the embodiment or professional, cool and collected. Apologizing profusely, deescalating the situation and she got a tow truck to my location quickly. They covered the tow expenses and when they took a second look at my car, Shawn himself went with his mechanic on the test drive and found the source of the disruption using his years of experience and know how. He also used the opportunity to teach and grow his mechanic, What a real mentor and leader would do. When he explained the situation to me, I was incredibly impressed. In both instances the ignition, steering column and door locks were broken and/or mangled and in one of the attempts, the rear window was broken out.They guys at Fitz'z were professional and prompt in assessing what the truck needed and giving me an estimate, then also were able to get parts and make repairs in just a few days in both instances. Kay Young: Communication with Lisa was rather rude upon arrival to pick up my vehicle. As I began to express my concern in regards to the additional service I was charged for, she kept cutting me off in mid sentence. She gave me an estimate of the work that was going to be done on first call I received from her. The second call she told me they added more oil which boosted my total amount due and they were wrapping it up then, arranged for someone to pick me up. I was aware that I needed an oil change but was not overdue. However, when I came for pick up (inquiring about my concern) she mentioned that they hadn’t yet put the oil in when she called the second time (but she gave a different amount due in the 2nd call). When she finished talking after continuously interrupting me, we had a stare down that lasted several seconds and that was it. She walked away and the polite young lady at the register checked me out. This is is the 3rd time I’ve had a vehicle serviced here and the first 2 times were similar situations. I mentioned those situations when I dropped my vehicle off in hopes of it not happening again. I requested that nothing extra be done I didn’t approve of or ok. Unfortunately, I will not be back for any service again. The guys do great work but Lisa totally rubbed me the wrong way with her contradicting manner of communication and rudeness.

no body: Definitely do not trust these guys. They are very rude. They lie to you as well. They sabotaged some equipment of ours on our truck and when confronted about it gave us a time and date to come check the video cameras. Then Lisa said we failed to come up and check the cameras when the date that they set has not even come up yet. They also lied to us about parts that are discontinued on our vehicle when they never even called us back to tell us. It's a shame how some of these businesses conduct themselves. Treat customers who are not of their own race very disrespectfully. Definitely would give this place zero stars if we could.Service:Auto emissions testing

Dave J: Ive been going to Master Auto Repair for years. Scott, Marty and their mechanics are outstanding. Their prices don't break the bank and they are the only mechanic I have ever been to that recommend against specific services unless you truly need them, to keep you from spending unnecessary money. So why the 4 stars? Unfortunately, one of the younger front desk women had a bit of an attitude when I dealt with her this morning. Part of the situation was my fault because I did misunderstand what she was trying to tell me, but having been on her side of the counter in other situations, one of the worst things you can do in customer service is get defensive and snippy. When there is a misunderstanding, you don't give attitude, you calmly explain what you meant, and leave it at that. Yes, i made the mistake of saying "theyve never had a problem doing this in the past", but i wasnt rude and i didnt swear or raise my voice or anything. I miss the front desk staff they had a year ago, the last time I was there. They were much friendlier than this young woman. If Master Auto gives her some coaching on proper customer service, I will happily update this rating to a 5, as the loss of 1 star is solely due to this individual.Update: I dont think this woman is working for them anymore, or if she is, I haven't noticed as they have a much more pleasant demeanor when I talk to them now. They've been really patient with me when I call asking for updates on my car, and of course scott and his team provide the same level of outstanding mechanical service. For this reason, I'm updating my rating to 5 stars.

Chris Covington: This place is an absolute joke. Took my vehicle in for a safety inspection. Had to tell them 3 times I didn’t need emissions and only needed safety. I know that is small but it gets better. Vehicle failed due to a few reasons 2 of 3 I knew about and actually planned on fixing tonight. They then charged me $5 extra for replacing a lug nut. The lady stated it was mangled and had to be replaced. Little known fact I replaced all of my lug nuts 6 months ago and I am the only person that works on my car. Lug nuts were fine until they took an impact to them….. I blew it off and paid them the extra $5 knowing I wouldn’t be back here. However upon trying to work on the vehicle tonight apparently they don’t understand Torque Specs!!!! Lug nuts are torqued to 100-125 lbs. not 300 lbs +++. Having a variety of tools for working on my own vehicles I do not have a breaker bar or impact strong enough to get the lug nuts off. This place is a joke and very crooked. One of the reasons they failed my safety was a rear brake caliper was leaking so their quote said I needed new rotors, pads and calipers…. Y’all must be a special kind of stupid.Do not trust these people
