There was no mention of warranties. So I went to auto zone bought jack stands and installed the part myself. Now my tachometer works, better fuel economy and no problems starting the vehicle. I will update if my after market cps doesn't last a year (the oem warranty). Otherwise I updated my review because the all caps seemed aggressive 😅

I called 5 minutes after they opened, and asked if I got my car towed there, if they could get to it that day? After I described what happened- Hamza told me I could.I read reviews from several other places while trying to decide what to do. There’s always that concern you’ll get gouged for anything/everything and at the mercy of the experts honesty… What really made Benchmark stand out to me was not just the many (well deserved) positive reviews, but it was the responses to negative comments as well. Hearing the other side made a world of sense- and in my opinion- the complainers seeming simply unreasonable.I highly respected keeping it real like that! My intuition was right, and this place has earned my entire trust after just one visit. I’ve seriously never had my car fixed so fast! I’ve also never had someone look at my car upon arrival to diagnose the issue! (I’m usually told to just leave it there, and won’t even be given a guess as to what to expect)For that reason, I’m never going to Dobbs again!! (They’re idea of “taking good care of you” is dropping your car off at 7am, you getting a call around 1pm-2pm to tell you what they found/ how much it costs, then calling another 2-3 hours later if/when it’s ready)Benchmark didn’t know me whatsoever, never seen my car, I didn’t have an appointment, and they took better care of me than what I’d even expect of a friend doing a big favor.There was absolutely no pressure to try to sell me more stuff. Jonah Shah: Charged me $261.17 to put in a Duralast Gold battery (JCI24F-DL). Instead put in a Super Start Economy battery, which is $90 cheaper and much lower quality. I tried to politely confront him later, and rather than admit his mistake he crossed out the part number, trying to hide evidence.After I filed a dispute with my credit card company, they created a fake story of our encounter and provided false evidence to the credit card company to void my dispute. Now my only recourse is taking them to court, which would be prohibitively expensive and time-consuming. Instead I’ll pay it forward to the next customer. Do not go here.Service:Battery

Kay Young: Communication with Lisa was rather rude upon arrival to pick up my vehicle. As I began to express my concern in regards to the additional service I was charged for, she kept cutting me off in mid sentence. She gave me an estimate of the work that was going to be done on first call I received from her. The second call she told me they added more oil which boosted my total amount due and they were wrapping it up then, arranged for someone to pick me up. I was aware that I needed an oil change but was not overdue. However, when I came for pick up (inquiring about my concern) she mentioned that they hadn’t yet put the oil in when she called the second time (but she gave a different amount due in the 2nd call). When she finished talking after continuously interrupting me, we had a stare down that lasted several seconds and that was it. She walked away and the polite young lady at the register checked me out. This is is the 3rd time I’ve had a vehicle serviced here and the first 2 times were similar situations. I mentioned those situations when I dropped my vehicle off in hopes of it not happening again. I requested that nothing extra be done I didn’t approve of or ok. Unfortunately, I will not be back for any service again. The guys do great work but Lisa totally rubbed me the wrong way with her contradicting manner of communication and rudeness.

They sabotaged some equipment of ours on our truck and when confronted about it gave us a time and date to come check the video cameras. Then Lisa said we failed to come up and check the cameras when the date that they set has not even come up yet. They also lied to us about parts that are discontinued on our vehicle when they never even called us back to tell us. It's a shame how some of these businesses conduct themselves. Starter price is around $50 but he sold it to us for $250. When I confronted him, he said you should have asked before and I can’t help you now. Her bf goes to get the car pays the money and her car breaks down 5 miles down the road, doing the same thing it done when she dropped it off. Now they tell her it has to go to the dealership. That it's the brain on her car. My sister now has to pay for another tow from Firestone to the dealership. That this above situation was part one and now we are on to part two. I don't work on cars but I don't think it throws the same code when the computer on your car needs to be flashed as it dose when you need to replace the throttle body!!!

I have been going to Firestone for 7 years and to be honest, the service has been going downhill. Now, this sealed it. They just don't care about their customers. or their time.I am taking it somewhere else and the first thing I'm doing is getting rid of these tires, so I don't have to deal with their service or warranty. Kasey Springsteen: The staff were apologetic- that’s the only nice thing I can say. I think it must be poorly managed because it took them 5 days to find time for a simple tire patch. When I finally did have an appointment they had me drop it off at 8 a.m. and it wasn’t even looked at until 6 p.m. I also had to call multiple times to reach anyone or get any updates. After all of that, they told me my tire couldn’t even be repaired and tried to sell me a $130 replacement (other places have quoted me $100 for the same exact tire). I know it was probably a bad day for all of them, but I had a terrible experience.

Miranda Scott: Got my car in with no appointment on a Friday, which was nice. Took them 4 hours to look at my brakes. They gave me an estimate for $990, front brakes and rotors. I called my best friend who works for a car dealership software company, to ask how badly I was getting screwed. She called up one of the more higher end dealerships to run an estimate and they said $550. She drove up to help me renegotiate (she's much more well-spoken than me). I'm paraphrasing.My friend: 'we both know this repair doesn't cost this'.Manager: 'What part of the itemized receipt do you not agree with?"Friend: "Well for starters this Life+SVC guarantee... What is that?" [Was an estimated cost of $100-$200]Manager: "I can get that taken off..."Friend: "okay that's a start"Manager: "okay I can't do at a dealership cost but I can do..." *Writes $750 on the estimate and circles it so the other people in the waiting room don't hear* ".... Is that okay?"I agreed to that price even though I knew it was overpriced but at that point I've been at this place for 4+ hours.Service was fine. The workers were kind too. I left feeling very swindled and I let everyone in the waiting room know the price I talked them down to before I left. I don't want to accuse but it felt very much like they were taking advantage of my gender and age.

m James: Fantastic people ‼️❤️ Our fan belt came off and it took me hours to get some help. We love west of Ofallon Mo and knew nothing about that area as far as repairs on the car. They did everything they could to fix it ,but we had to wait till the next day but the got us back on the road. Very nice and respectful men. They deserve 10 stars for being so nice and helpful ‼️👍🏼😀

Max L: I had a flat tire and came to this location to repair but they ended up having to replace it. While doing so they lost my car key. I had to Lyft home and back to get my spare for them to finish my car. The manager noted (and on my bill) that they would replace it but they are never around so no one has been able to help when I came back in and they have not returned calls. Keys are hundreds of dollars now so I wouldnt trust them.Service:Tires
