I've tried the chicken tenders po-boy, jambalaya, gumbo, red beans & rice, Boudin sausage, and their M&C.We're lucky to have an authentic Cajun/Creole joint in south KC. Brian McGeorge: Came here for lunch with my dad because we both enjoy cajun/creole food and they had great reviews. Honestly have to admit, we couldn't see why. While the staff was friendly, the good experience ended there. It was full service bistreaux prices in a fast food setting. My dad had the sampler and I had a po' boy. The po' boy was decent, I'd say, on par. Everything else save for the mac n cheese was completely bland, void of any spice or suggestion of creole seasonings. The etouffee did not resemble any version of the dish I had ever had before and was in no way spicy, which I always found to be a staple of the dish. Even though the food was not terrible, it was a very disappointing experience overall and we won't be returning. I would have maybe gave this place 3 stars but seeing how I feel it is quite highly over-rated I gave it a 2 to contribute to that compensation.

I Would say that the Food and Alcohol is Expensive and I would Suggest they Create Some Meals that are Atleast around 5 bucks with a Drink or Run some daily discount specials. It was dry burnt meatloaf slices slopped onto a slice of soggy bread then covered with a nasty salty brown gravy (hardly a sandwich). The mashed potatoes were cold and unseasoned at least there was way too much nasty brown gravy. The Spaghetti was a bowl of mushy over cooked pasta served in a bad red sauce. The spaghetti tasted soapy. At least they wash the dishes? The caramel cake had no flavor to the cake, just sweet flour; the icing was just gritty butter. Absolutely the WORST place I've EVER ordered from. My experience is noteworthy for sure. Noted...I will NEVER order there again.

Alexa Savka: We came here to celebrate Father’s Day and my son’s 4th birthday. There was no wait, our server greeted us right away, and everything was amazing. The atmosphere was perfect, my husband got to watch the US Open and enjoy a cold beer while I had a lavender martini. The Poké Nachos are to die for. I highly recommend their Vampire Tacos and a cup of Tomato Bisque. It’s velvety and delicious and hits the spot every time. The tacos have amazing texture and flavor. My husband said his Korean BBQ Philly was incredibly good. Definitely get truffle fries when you go too. Overall it was an excellent experience and we will be back again and again. I haven’t had any issues ever when going here and it’s never overly busy.

When they brought the burger out it looked amazing but I was highly disappointed in the taste. There was no flavor even with blue cheese and bacon on it. It definitely wasn't worth the 15 I paid for it. Also the service wasn't anything to write home about. They didn't check on me once while I was eating other then to bring my check. I will not be going back unless it's to eat for free because the price just isn't worth it.

Student of the Word of God: Kept hearing about this great place near the City market, so my wife and I decided to go. #1, we were sat in the corner near some dead plants so maybe that’s what caused the flies and gnats to invade our space. #2, our server wasn’t too pleasant. #3, a gnat flew into my food, when I tried to get my server’s attention, she walked right past me. D B: Our group had a fun brunch experience, and I look forward to going back. We started with the cinnamon roll which has bacon pieces on top; it was good but the roll was a bit dry. The biscuits and gravy were great, and the bacon was cooked perfectly. We also ordered the mimosa tower, which was pretty good. Lastly, the service was excellent and our meals came out on a reasonable amount of time.

Diane McKinney: One of our favorite Sunday Brunch spots! We like to sit outside and this summer they have added a shade cover so it's more comfortable out there. All of the food we've had has been amazing. There is a regular Sunday brunch menu as well as a special menu specific to that day. I was dissapointed that they had run out of the ingredients to make the Mimosa special so I was forced to drink a regular one :(

Shawn: Its highly recomended that you make reservations for parties of 3 or more ahead of time. They do accept walk ins, the bar is open seating and there are two tables and window seating available for parties of 4 or less.I sat at the bar and ordered a coffee, the brioche french toast and 2 eggs over medium. I had to ask for sugar a couple of times and water was never offered to me. It wasnt until i stared at an empty coffee glass and 2 nearly empty food plates that the bartender finally came back, he never checked in to see how my food was or asked me if I would like an additional coffee. He was polite and nice but not a 10 out of 10 for service. He was about a 7 out of 10 or 4 stars out of 5.The atmosphere was inviting there were sounds of the 80's playing overhead and it was so loud im not sure how anyone could hear over the other conversations within the bar without talking an extra octive louder. The acoustics in this place are not the greatest. Im sure based on its location though they rock to the night crowd. The decor was that of what you expext from a beer kitchen or brewery. Clean. Rustic and comfortable. The beer draft taps hanging from the ceiling were quite interesting. The natural light and lighting were a pleasant contrast. 8 out of 10, or 4 out of 5 stars.Now onto the food, what you came here for. I ordered a coffee. The brioche french toast, and 2 eggs over medium.The coffee was warm not hot, it wasnt burnt and tasted good. It was on the lighter side and tasted much like what you expect from a decaf. I rated this a 6.5 out of 10.The eggs were cooked right, seasoned with the right amount of salt and pepper, garnished with some parsley. A 8 out of 10.The brioche french toaste were quite equisate. They came 3 sliced cooked quite well. Topped off with salted pecans that slapped. Their were 2 slices of applewood smoked bacon on top and the syrup was a signature bourban syrup that was super unique and really brought the entire dish together. I give this a 10 out of 10.For dessert i ordered their baby donuts. They came in a brown bag with 2 dipping sauces. A fruit compote and a "cereal milk" anglaise.. both toppings complimented this home made donut hole feel and really went down smooth. There is quite enough to make this a shareable dessert or a fun appetizer to set off the taste buds. Laura Williams: The food is great here! Great place for a burger! I ordered the brickhouse burger and fries. They make their own ketchup, which I enjoyed. The portion sizes are reasonable and the service was quick! We made reservations to make sure we got a seat. It was t crowded that day, but I would recommend you make a reservation if you have more than four people.

Nathan Smith: Slow service to start even early on a Saturday. Beer menu is missing the style of beer or has incorrect names of what you’re ordering. Pony size beer is small (6oz) for the price.Food was quick, and good! We got asked for appetizers and entrees all in one order. The appetizer never came, the entrees came quick. At least the appetizer was also missing from the bill. Fries don’t come with the burger or sandwich - they are $4 extra.
