Rose S: We chose a selection of 8 different dim sum items and every single one was delicious especially the scallion pancakes with BBQ roast pork! They brought out each dish as it was finished. It was very quiet, which was nice, but I'm not sure if that's always their standard atmosphere as we ate a late lunch at 3pm. I'm excited to go back and try their other entrees!

I started ordering from Uber eats because they are 15 miles away; I don’t think this is related to the quality or quantity but it could be! The last 3 orders of beef chow fun which when done properly is GAS; however, today was my last order. I am bereft because it’s such great cheat food after working all day. Last 3 orders little to no beef at all. The price is about $17.00 for noodles, come on! If you like dim sum probably the only place in town. Beware of ordering delivery I think they know you can’t complain.

Service was great we sat at the round table with a rotating deck on it so everyone could enjoy! A really good time was had. Sara Crane: I feel like this place has really gone down hill. I ordered two dim sum dishes, which were cold and tasteless. I also had a fried noodle dish, which was just okay. Skimpy on the meat and also pretty flavorless. Service was good but communication was a problem. For two small dim sum and an entree, the total was $25 plus tip. Not worth it.

Betsy Mattison: Can’t believe I’ve lived in this city my whole life and just now tried Eddie V’s. You can tell by the abundance of staff that they take their business very seriously. From valet to our waitress, everything was excellent. Lobster tacos, crab cake, patron margarita and king crab legs were all top notch. I hate we don’t remember our waitresses name because she was lovely and deserves recognition for her great service. We will be back soon, thanks for making our anniversary extra special!
Princesses of the 417 Company: Beautiful inviting atmosphere, very upscale but not too stiff. Erica was our phenomenal waiter, but all of the staff was efficient and kind/courteous. The food and dessert was perfect. My 5 year old remarked that the restaurant was so fancy and he wished he was wearing and bowtie. Erica emerged moments later with her own bowtie from her uniform and put it on him. It made him feel so special. The whole experience was over the top and wonderful, our bellies and hearts are full!

Our server Steven went the extra mile to take care of us. My wife got queasy about the time we arrived, and he saved the experience for us. I think 5s all around are appropriate. Madison Courtney: My partner and I dined at Cafe Trio Monday evening and were delighted to discover that Mondays are all day happy hour! The delights didn't stop there -- the patio was perfectly sheltered from the evening sun and the food was amazing (the tomato soup might be the best in KC). However, the service is what truly stood out. Our server, Richard, was the most attentive and friendly server we're experienced in a long time. We'll definitely be going back.

Michael Coddington: Delicious and unique dining. Great cocktails and rum flights. Menu is divided between Caribbean and traditional Ethiopian offerings. Lambi (conch) and Mesob Special (shrimp) to start, Oxtails were stellar, House Special Tibs was wildly delicious, Seafood Paella was standard but good. Rum Cake and Oreo bread pudding finished out the great meal. We will note that service this Friday night was terrible; no one greeting at the door, had to wait quite a while for someone to notice and be seated for our reservation, and this occurred for almost every party coming in, servers were gracious and helpful, but long waits between seating, water, taking orders, and trying to get our bill to leave. It wasn't particularly busy, and there seemed to be plenty of staff, but they seemed confused and erratic. Will 100% recommend for the food, I just hope the service was a one off difficult night.

We started off with appetizers - the oan seared crab cakes with a spicy sauce and the delicious parmesan fritters made from taro root! These were my favorites! For the main course, my hubby and I both ordered the braised oxtails, which were over a small bed of collard greens, green peas, a piece of of a carrot, and potato. My twob oxtails, although large and flavorful, were not as tender as they needed to be. We both opted for white rice (which came a little later) instead of the black mushroom rice since I am allergic to some types of mushrooms. I will say the sauce was ample and therefore make the rice taste so good!My cousin got the Jerk Ribs with parmasan fries with a spicy sauce and coleslaw. His wife ordered a seafood jambalaya. The Ethiopian food was quite good, with great flavors but the beef and lamb were slightly chewy/tough. The veggie dishes were nice, but a bit underseasoned. I'd probably say blue nile is better for KC Ethiopian, but this is a super fun menu and the place has a great vibe.I think they were maybe a bit understaffed, so we were served by the hostess. This is a odd menu with various things size for two or more, so you really need help if you haven't been before. We also had to ask several times for new utensils.Vegetarian options: Ethiopian is always great for vegetarian. Options here were good for KC, but about okay for Ethiopian.

Food was great, presentation was impressive, and portion sizes were large.Understanding we dined during a busy dinner time on a weekend, the servers seemed overworked and some of the dishes came out a little colder than expected. Maugan Ra: A friend came from out of town and loves to try new food. She found Novel and we went. The waiter was prompt and personable (and even recognized my scientist nerd music from my Spotify, which hadn't turned off.) We had the steak tartare, which was fantastic and the fried potatoes... The curry spiced ketchup was insanely good. Friday night at 7 pm, there were plenty of customers but not overcrowded. I will definitely suggest it to my locals.

A S: Easy to miss driving but worth making the trip in. Limited menu but very good options. Highly recommend the pork chop which I wouldn't normally order but glad it was recommended to me. On the spicy side but was asked ahead of time with warning and they were right. The apps are okay but I'll skip next time.I'll have this on my short list to bring visitors for something off the beaten path.
Melissa Davis: This restaurant was stellar! The service was impeccable every step of the way. Every item we ordered was next level. We started with the crispy farm egg and then the spring ravioli. Both were excellent. I had the KC strip for my main course and it did not disappoint. It was served with the best carrots I've ever had and I'm typically indifferent about carrots. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough!

Megan Anderson: One of my favorite restaurants in Kansas City! If you are a foodie as we are, you will certainly find dishes unlike anything you have had before. We leave every time excited about numerous dishes and trying things we never would have considered. For example, SWEETBREADS, they make them absolutely divine. I love that everyday we walk through the doors that the menu is brand new and inventive! We love sitting at the bar near the kitchen so we can watch everyone channel their creative skills. A must try!

The dishes are seasonal, so you may not get something you had before. We ordered one of everything and split it. They put their touch on every dish, and it is delicious. Darrell Loo: The Antler Room is my favorite restaurant in town, and as always, my recent visit on Thursday didn't disappoint. I had just returned to town and was eager to relax in a comfortable atmosphere. Settling at the bar with a delightful glass of wine, I perused the seasonal menu with anticipation.My meal began with the irresistible Nori Shokupan, a must-have staple whenever I spot it on the menu. I continued with the Romanesco dish, featuring golden hummus, anchovy brown butter, crispy chickpeas, and anchovies. This flavorful dish showcased fresh, delectable vegetables. Another standout was the Cucumber dish with smoked salmavocado, tahini sauce, and buckwheat lavosh in a rose vinaigrette. This simple, refreshing dish was beautifully balanced by the vinaigrette.Next, I savored the Pan-Roasted Veal Sweetbreads, accompanied by beef tallow whipped potatoes, endive, white wine mustard sauce, croutons, capers, and rosemary. This hearty, comforting dish was a delight. I also enjoyed the Seared Duck Breast, served with fried sunchokes, local spinach, ravigote, and umeaboshi plum jus. The duck was cooked to perfection, and the sweet umeaboshi plum jus perfectly complemented the dish.To conclude my meal, I couldn't resist the Coconut Panna Cotta with pandan ice cream, mango sauce, and caramel tuille. This light, refreshing dessert, reminiscent of spring, provided the ideal ending to my dining experience.
Warda Shafi: I always prefer better quality food in small plates over mediocre food piled on the plates. I had the haddock with bok choy, sushi rice, caviar, and mushrooms. The dish was a little soupy, always a plus for me since I'm a huge soup fan. The food was delicious and looked wonderful, and I could tell the ingredients were of high quality, always a delight. This was a hearty meal, all the while very light on the stomach.
