Mike Coppoc: I perform the city rental safety inspections, and recently had the opportunity to do the inspections on both properties. I was in every unit at both sites, and was really impressed with the grounds and the maintenance. However, I was very excited to see the manager interact with the tenants. It was obvious that she is on top of things and really cares about the property residents.

AlisaGetsFit 8: I lived there 3 years and had no issues. staff and maintenance were always friendly. I had decent neighbors. There is definitely crime in the area, but they try to keep it under control as best they can.

Jordan Nelson: The neighbors are LITERALLY emptying mags in the parking lot between 8:30pm and 10pm. But you can get kicked out for smoking on property?So smoking PEOPLE is okay but WEED is going to far!?!?
Terri Terrell: THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE. They say it's income based when it's really not,they want broke people so they can continue getting government funding. They told me I couldn't pay months in advance because they don't allow that smdh. Glad I'm purchasing a home now to keep me away from fake advertisements.The office ladies are just as fake as their advertising.Blessings on blessings that I didn't NEED this community because some do.

Briyanna ryan: Management rude especially Deb. They just walk in your place after one knock. I called after hour maintenance because for some reason my lock on my door was hard to lock and unlock. I got off work and tried to unlock my door and my key broke in half and got stuck in the door. They told me that the only thing I could do was call a lock smith which I called to get a quote and it would be $200. They tried to charge for destruction of property because I banged the door up trying to get in.
Lisa Cox: Housing needs to put minority workers in these offices. They are superficial, fake, liars. And gamey! Horrible!

Lexy: They never take any of your maintenance request serious. I’ve put in request for certain things to be done and they still haven’t and it’s been over a month. This isn’t the first time. Heck by the time they actually do come I’ve already either done it or found a friend or family member to do the work. Just pitiful. And they don’t care about their tenants at all!! Just trifling staff and owners. I wouldn’t recommend living here. The streets are cleaner than Hawthorne!!

If you decide to make this your home please realize the number of residents far out weigh the staff and you can remind the staff of what ever it is you need and still be KIND. Without Hawthorne I wouldn't be where I'm at today and I'm excited about my future! Just really wanted to give a shout to the Hawthorne staff. Thank you all so much for everything you do!
Fran Dorland: It's an okay place to live if you don't mind mold, cockroaches, and bed bugs. Most tenant do not request spraying for bed bugs so they end up spreading. There are drugs in the building and your vehicle gets broken into in the parking lot. One person had a hit and run in the parking lot if you just need a place to live it's a great place better than being outside in the cold or the Heat
Bri and Jacklyn: All the staff is rude and disrespectful! Mainly Deb whoWill try and change your locks before try toEvict you if you leave your shoes outside your door. I would never rent from here. They will never come fix anything in your apartment. They don’t care about anyone but themselves.
M W: Staff are rude and very disrespectful. If you are a decent person crime and drug free don’t bother placing and application. They don’t want people who can contribute to a safe environment. They “Deb” like hanging up on people when questioned about their unethical practices.
Peggy Clayton: I lived there 2 years and i had no problems and was given all my deposits back when i moved to Texas. Im considering moving back to Missouri and if i do im going to apply for a apt there again.

Fred Stroup: They're trying to say that my wife has an eviction on her record by wife was not born in 1961 they have all their information all twisted up and now their decision is final my wife was not born in 61 she was born in 79 they don't know how to do a background check with the proper information that have fees come back the way it needs to be but as we are homeless we have to sit here and wait because they don't know how to put the right documents in the system to find out their information

Alicia Collins: I'm very thankful for my new home. I keep a very clean home & my daughter & I are very comfortable INSIDE our unit. It's the rude, disrespectful women around that get on my nerves! They never clean up after their kids & flirt with any company I have. Thirsty isn't the word!
