Cindy Reynolds: I had an awning installed over my courtyard. It looks great! One of the reasons I went with this company was because I liked the fact that there is 3 inches of styrofoam sandwiched between the top and bottom of the awning. This allows for better temperature control when sitting under it. It will also be nice to sit under when it is raining and will soften the noise of the rain hitting the top of the awning. I will be adding an exterior ceiling fan, as well. The awning is constructed for a fan to be added if you like and that was important to me. I am also extremely pleased that the awning matches the color of my house almost exactly. Great experience with this company and will not hesitate to use them again.

The siding product we went with was top of the line and superior to the other siding company we were shopping with at the time.When the installation people found termites in my chimney they rebuilt it for me as if they were carpenters. I had previously had another siding company cover my balcony facia with aluminum siding and it was wavy but Smithco was able to redo it and leave it looking flawless. Debra Garrett: Repeat customers. First time, no complaints, timely, good work, quality material. This time, this crew didn't finish details well and their work was not near as good as the first crews'. We asked Scott to come out to be able to avoid back and forth calls with installer and get things finished after a month. The installer had led him to believe the job had long been finished. Scott became very rude and hung up on us when he had heard enough, we filled out a BBB complaint, then received an offensive call. The personal part of it, in addition to the job, was difficult. Not having an itemized statement added to our confusion. Recommend not paying till you are completely satisfied that EVERYTHING is done. I paid trusting that everything would be done and if I had any problems Scott would take care of us. That was not the case at first, but later he did send out people to fix the obvious problems. Scott called back and asked us to change the review and has told us he will honor the warranty on the contract if we have any future problems.

We had several places tell us it would be 3000 plus for the front of our house alone. Not including fasha or sofit. Smith co. Came in at 2300 for siding and 900 for fasha and sofit. It looks great! One company" sears" said it was asbestos on the front of our house. Sending me and my wife into panic. It was not!!! Cedar was the material. Plus extra work was needed cause our house wasn't property insulated. Smith co. Fixed and didn't charge extra. Thank you Smith co. !!! Great job!!! Love our shacker siding!

Teresa Thompson: Paid $12,000 for a canopy (they required me to put a $6,000 down payment in Feb 2021) and they didn't start working on it until Oct 2021. They tore off the roof overhang, (see pictures), and then didn't come back for 7 days. It rained and since the plastic was put up shoddily, it leaked into our ceiling (see pics) . Our ceiling was soaked and the rain also ruined our drywall (but it took a few months for that damage to become evident)! One of the workers was acting erratic and when he started talking to me I smelled alcohol. The next day I found out he fell off the ladder and broke my plants and planters (see pics) This spring when my husband and I were cleaning under our deck, I found empty alcohol containers! This cemented my suspicion that this worker was drinking alcohol while sawing the roof off my house!!I talked to the managers of Modern Exteriors and when I asked if they would reduce the price of the canopy because if the damage to our ceiling, they refused, and all they did to "fix" the soaked/stained ceiling was to spray paint it with Kilz. I was very disappointed with the experience I had working with Modern Exteriors.

Rick Ayers: Overall a very positive experienceThey were to replace a screen room with a 3seasons room and a pavilion attached to that.John Cook was a pleasure to work with, no pressure, he was honest about the long lead times because of Covid.The only issue was a cement pad for the pavilion. They contracted that out to Jeramy Butts who did a horrible job. The quality was terrible, did not pour correct amount for the pad. Then he never showed up to finish the job. He no longer works for them.Dough Posey made it right by sending Russ to the rescue. Russ corrected everything, and it looked great when he was done.January 2020 - Russ Harig and Will started on the 3 seasons room - and I must say that Russ did such a great job! It looks fantastic. Better then expected, and the quality of material is excellent.Russ communicated everything along the way, had great insight as to the best way to do everything including electrical. He is professional, courteous and efficient.Plus, they cleaned up so well we never knew they were here.Still waiting on materials for the pavilion but after our experience with the glassed room, I am looking forward for Russ to get started.I would strongly recommend Russ, Doug and Megan from Modern Exterior.I would give 5 stars if communication was better.

Recently, I had them install a heating and air unit as well as a doggie door in that sunroom. The heating and air unit took a while to get here due to manufacturing delays, however, Megan Allen was very diligent in keeping in contact with me on a consistent basis. It took six months to receive the materials, however, that was due to covid and supply chain issues and not a reflection of the company . When the materials arrived, they contacted me and started working immediately. The cover was installed by a gentleman named Russ. Russ was thorough, courteous and very good at his job. The finished product looks great and Russ cleaned up the area of all debris and leftover materials. I Recommend Modern Exteriors and would not hesitate to use them again.

May Thompson: I am livid. I spent 1,400 on a refrigerator that arrived(Tuesday) damaged, so I refused delivery. Wednesday I canceled the replacement and requested a refund. I was told 3 days. Well we are well into the next week and still no refund. I would like to thank Kirk and Betty who are trying to help me actually get my refund but Home Depot needs to do something to change the way they do damaged appliance returns. The customer should be able to go into the store and get their refund the same day if not the next they should Not still be out $1,400 a week later.

Despite placing an order online and providing my contact information, they never called to schedule a delivery window. I figured the first time was just a glitch in their system, however when I rescheduled for the next available date and set the four hour window for 7:30-11:30am they scheduled me the day of for a 12:00-4:00pm delivery. When I reached out to customer service for assistance, they were unhelpful and seemed indifferent to my problem. I had to take time off work to wait for the delivery that never arrived. I will not be using Home Depot's delivery service again and would caution others to consider alternative options.

I know there are supply-chain issues, but if the windows are made "locally" why does it take this long? The contractors that installed them cleaned up after themselves, and were polite. I'm sad that I don't get to enjoy them longer since I have to move.

Michelle Lewis: We ordered Windows in March and were told 12-14 weeks. With Covid, the housing market ect we definitely expected delays. However we only heard from them if we contacted them and were always told 2-4 weeks. At one point I waited 10 weeks to contact them because life is busy. At that point I was again told 2-3 more weeks. We finally got the call Friday that they would be here 1st thing Monday morning. It is now 2 o'clock in the afternoon. No sign of them. I have tried calling and no answer. I am hoping the actual install goes seamless but I am very very disappointed in the lack of communication.
