Lost Hill Park: what do users think?
Tishia Turbyfill: Peaceful place to vent frustration outDog-friendliness: Just please pick up your dog's droppings
Dale Ketel: Vandalized
M Guerin (MGGMAIL): Cool cave trail , beautiful walking areas .althought not very much water in creek this season . Very overgrown and ticks and bees bad this year
Stevie Mckenzie: Great walking trails, beautiful ,nice creek to cool off
Payton Eisman: Gorgeous park, perfect for pics and a good walk
Ben hinkston: Nice park with a good amount of seating and very pretty scenery.
Dennis Kerr: Got to the park just as thunder storm rolled in 😞, maybe next time...
Zachary Parrish: It's a gorgeous area, the walk is peaceful, and the scenery and caves are really rad.
Angela Howard: A lovely walk that is beautiful in the spring. When water covers the path, that is when it isn't so greatWater makes path, making it tricky to cross.
Jonathan: Those of you with a high acrobatics level and a decent amount of curiosity will find the cozy cave club quite an interesting locale. I'll give you a hint: take the stone stairs down from the high meadow and you'll find the front door wide open for you! This place is gorgeous, I could go there every day. I'm a photographer so I notice other photographers and check out their gear when I see them. I see a LOT of other photographers, professional ones!, Photographers who get paid for things like taking senior pictures and wedding photos! So you know if the paid photographers are over there, it's a pretty place! The water you see running in my pictures is not year round, it's the dry Sac river and it's dry for half the year. Regardless of what time you go there, the place is gorgeous, with or without water. There's a place where the water has cut channels through the bedrock and some of these are 4 ft deep and more and when they're dry it's just amazing to look at you can walk through them like a maze! When the water's running, it looks like a fish tank. The water is crystal clear and beautiful. If I haven't convinced you to go, I don't think anybody will; oh well, your loss!
Darrell Powers: One of my favorite little spots in North Springfield, Caves, Natural Arch's and the Cozy Cave Club if you know where to look.
Tammy M: Fun find. Adventure throughout our hike.Playground: Swing setRestrooms: Porta pottyDog-friendliness: Must be on leashPicnic area: Yes, shaded
Michael Stone: Never could find that hill
timothy seleznov: Very nice place to run your bicycle
Felicia Anne: Always a beautiful place to walk!
GHOST FACE: My dogs favorite park
Larry Attwood: Very peaceful
Joseph Barton: This place starts with picnic tables and then wanders off with two trails that cross the river/stream. Some nice views and slippery shallow river crossings. Worth visiting.
Terri Andrews: Nice place to wander around and explore. Paved trails and creek crossings. Adventures await!
Mr. Feels: Beautiful walking trail/path
Megan Allen: This park is a hidden treasure.

Peggy Irwin: Beautiful and very peaceful a must visit spacious restroom and playground amenities and bring your fur babies
James Wildes: Has some nice trails and a playground for the kids. Great areas to take pictures as wellPlayground: Modern playground with plenty of room to run and play.Restrooms: None on site that I could see.Picnic area: If you don't mind a 10 min walk theres a nice pavilion towards the little lake.
Deborah Hutton: I went 2 weeks ago beautiful place but the tic problem was out of control don't go unless you want a lot of tics!
Julie Kaup: We love this park! It's rarely busy. The waterfall and bridges are cool to look at. My boys love the cannon and playground. The trails are dirt and gravel but very well maintained. Great place to get out in nature and explore!Playground: A great variety of play equipment for all ages.Restrooms: Clean restroomsPicnic area: Many picnic tables to choose from. Quite a few trash can as well. Everything is well maintained.
Jake Conner: Definitely one of my favorite parks.Peaceful, quiet. It's a hidden gem
Дима Яков: Love this place.
Nick Poulsen: Great walk to see a cave. Very peaceful. Can't wait for the pond to look great
Matt Paasch: A fantastic park!
Nick S: Getting to the water is a very long walk ... no fishing signs I thought I could fish here but was fooled
Terri Andrews: A favorite since childhood. Another gorgeous place just outside of town. There's something for everyone here to enjoy. Playground is pretty cool too.
Laurie Lundberg: Nice clean park. Well maintained. You can walk on paved pathways or on grassy trails, which is great, especially if you have dogs.
Martina Sally: This is such a wonderful trail for small children or beginners. it's about 2.5 miles or 45 min. The weather was nice, the paths are wide and the trail itself consist of 2 trails. One trail is in and out and the second is a loop. There's also a park and bike path.
Emily Pierce: Hard place to visit when the roafs are blocked off and you have to walk a long ways to get to whete you think you want to go. The Pavilion was a bit of a letdown. And there was one port-a-potty, as the bathrooms were padlocked. Very inconvenient.
Kate Hedberg: Great place to spend time outside! Dogs stay on leash, but there are lots of trails and a playground for kiddos.Dog-friendliness: Stay on leash!
Emma Barnett: This is a beautiful trail with plenty of greenery and water features to enjoy!
Kevin Armstrong: Great park. Very secluded for how close to town it is
J Fellers: Nice park 4.5 Stars on North side of Springfield near Fantastic Caverns. Has playgrounds for children archery, with grills and tables. Only complaint is info board is not clear where lake and bridge is past gate, was that Ritter Spring?? .65 mile past gate in front down gravel road is lake, bridge, old damn. Not sure if Ritter Spring is farther down ?? For another day. Come on parks mark trails and sites better.
Joplinlady Unicorn: Wish it wasn't such a long hike to get there!
Graveyard Blunt: My favorite place in the winter months, nobody here
Sheila Steele: I absolutely love this place it's beautiful. I haven't been here since I moved back to Oklahoma in 2016 but I used to go here quite often there's a little cave we used to go inside you can walk all over the place it's just beautiful.
Aric Freed: Absolutely beautiful location for pictures!

Bois D'Arc Conservation Area: what do users think?
Michael Romero: The rifle and pistol range is very well kept and the range safety is excellent , well worth the 4 dollar cost. The booths have shooting rests and benches for optic sighting , the lanes have movable target stands and the paper targets are provided. The staff are courteous and professional , making for an enjoyable day at the range.Update : April 5 2022 the range has a new sign in process that requires either a fishing or hunting permit or a Missouri conservation ID card OR a manual write in via one of several touch screen kiosks.Additionally , the range now has spotter scopes at every booth ( attached via steel cables ) AND free safety glasses as well as earplugs. Still the best four dollar deal for shooting , especially since the open range at Pleasant Hope is closed indefinitely.Update : 5/10/22 the rifle and pistol range are closed , the staff informed us that Jefferson City wants to make recommendations but they haven't yet ,so no reopening date is set.The shotgun / skeet portion is open.Update 5/23/23 the rebuilt range is now open with the recommended improvements in place and it is still the best bargain for a range at four bucks an hour , with strict safety measures in place .

Tal's Trailhead Wilson's Creek Greenway Trail: what do users think?
James Latham: Nice parking area, really wish they had bathrooms though
Josh Dobbins: Great parking, clean trails that are plenty wide and neat scenery.
Brian Emmons: Very nice walk through local farmland and grasslands. Nice, paved trail throughout which would be good for cycling, walking, running, or any other sport one would want to use on a paved trail.
Alex Hennis: My wife and I have hit the age where there's more of each other to love. Sadly, our metabolism seems to have slowed, but not our appetite. Today was our first day to exercise together, so we walked the trail. It was a great challenge to walk the miles up and down the hills. The scenery was beautiful. You have to see the old rusty barn and silo along the trail. It's worth the trip.
Douglas Harnish: Nice bike trail and good for walking too...
Steve Roemer: Excellent walking path. It's easy to get 6 miles in on a walk or on a run. Nice scenery and always nice people you pass.
C Cunningham: Very nice paved trail. Good with a jogging stroller. Lots of lovely fauna and saw mulberries growing right off the trail. Please remember to pick up after your dogs.
minchkin77 J: Best place to hike in Springfield area in my opinion. Paved trail with natural trails throughout. Great workout with paths that go up and down hill. Lots of wild flowers, insects, birds, reptiles, and more. Highly recommend!
Tiffany Baker: Great trails and dog walking park.
G. S. White: This is a nice walking/ biking path. Well kept.
Jeremy Huxol: Great trail to run, bike, and hike on.
Richard Bradshaw: Love going hefe and riding our bikes
Eric Weiskopf: Nice access to the outdoors. Be ready for some gradients.
james brooks: Good parking and nice trailhead area. I enjoy the trail to the south and look forward to it connecting with Wilson's Creek Battlefield's trails one day. I also enjoy the trail to the north and Rutledge Farms with closer views along the creek. The trail to the east and Nathanael Greene Park is okay but not my cup of tea running more along roads, houses, schools and such.
33 Earthbound “Heathen” Ghost 33: This is a really neat set of trails.
Kimberly Kotrosits: My husband and I hiked this on a day date. It was a wonderful time. Beautiful scenery. Green lush and natural. Totally recommend plus they have bridges over the creeks the trail runs over. Totally worth the time
Chad Swanson: Great place to relax and have coffee.
Anthony Slagle: Love this trail, bicycling or just walking my dog. It's a fun trail.
Urban Redneck: Most of the trail is paved with plenty of shaded sections, great for walking, running, biking, or a relaxed nature walk. During the years we've seen snapping and box turtles, foxes, and every regional bird imaginable.
Ginelle Graham: Love this place !!!
FlightsimDad: Scenic, tons of shade from the trees, but tough. I would definitely do it again, but without having to push weight up those hills!
