Springfield / Route 66 KOA Holiday: what do users think?
Michelle: I’d give a zero rating if I could. They will not let you stay unless you have an RV. This sure makes seeing America little harder.
Randy Hentz: Nearby activities: Great people!!! Super helpful and just plain niceSafety: Well kept groundsWalkability: Great short trip to showers and they deliver pizza and chicken nuggets. After a long day on the road it was nice!!!Noteworthy details: The overall experience was great!!
Sean H: One of my favorite places to stay. I don't know if the employees can be any nicerRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Fred Hunter: Stayed 2 nites in mh. No cable, but everything else was pleasant.
Sheri Oakes: KOA does not disappoint. Great staff. Wonderful campsite. Close enough to everything yet far enough to feel safe and a vacation escape.Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Luxury, Great view, Romantic, Quiet, Great value, High-tech …More
J Bartlett: I was after closing time getting there after a 12hr drive (I had emailed ahead). They were still up front, had a map ready. Fred had me follow his cart to the site so I knew where to park (tent camping.) Clean, and deliciously calm on a holiday weekend night when I just needed to crash. Fantastic :)
Sheila Robinson: Had a fabulous two week stay here. Hosts are friendly and helpful. SFBN railroad is alive and well. Bring your white noise machine and you won’t notice the whistle.
Beth Cline: What a great KOA except for location. The campgrounds and staff were great, very clean bathrooms, individual showers with privacy a huge plus, shady, nice pool, very clean campground. However, the only reason they don’t get 5 stars is because of the proximity to planes, trains and automobiles. Planes flying low and landing nearby, the train track adjacent to campground and train horns during the night and the cars on the highway. If you take earplugs you’ll be just fine!
Stan Summers: Well maintained and easy to get to from the interstate. Sites with shade trees and sites with few or no trees. 2nd time we’ve stayed here.
Likes To travel: Very clean campground... close to I-44... pizza and wings delivered to your site.... staff was awesome. Will be backNearby activities: Close to Bass Pro Shop and downtown Springfield
Frank Smith: It feels like it's under an port flight path and right next to a railroad track with the trains and horns every hour or two store wasn't stocked very well for what we neededRooms: 3/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 3/5 …More
Asteroidpilot: This place is amazing. Friendly staff, clean bathrooms and sites. It is a really good place with space. The ONLY thing that was rough on sleeping is the trains. The schedule was one at 11 pm midnight, then 1am. I couldn't do it. The day was fine here and there, but at night, it was rough. The main issue was that there aren't any guards at the crossing right next to the KOA, so as the train approaches and the lights flash, the horn starts blaring. We had to leave a day early cause we just couldn't another night. I won't be staying here again unless I really have to buy highly doubt it. No fault of the people or their service.
Lynn Duderstadt: This place is a 5-star campground. The only reason I did not rate it as such is the train. Just about every night the train came by six times blowing the horn each time/ multiple times. I was in town for training and the days were long. Add study time and then sleep- the train! Add crossing arms and quit blowing the horn!Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Kevin Shelly: Very nice koa. Clean and staff is super nice.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Stacey Bolin: It was our first time RVing here. I have no complaints!! And there was a train that you can see and hear, that was very relaxing. Rest rooms, and the property emaculate!!!! Highly highly recommended as for the train sounds. Felt like when I was a kid. Loved everything about this place. 😍 We got our kicks on route 66!Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More

Michael Snizhko: Amazing place
Natalee Ward: I have been there since I was little I love it there
Harry Kemper: I work their it is a good place to work.Playground: It's a great place to work.Restrooms: Yes.Dog-friendliness: Yes.Picnic area: Yes.
Jamona Hehner: I wish there had been more animals and especially some babies. But when the other reviews had mentioned how great the playground was, I had no idea! It's probably the best one I've ever seen, and I've been to many of them. The gbabes had a blast!Playground: You won't believe how great it is until you see it in person.
Lauryn Brown: My kids absolutely love this place. Little disappointed they got rid of the feed machine to feed the animals thoughPlayground: Very shaded, kids love itRestrooms: Not very stroller friendly. The big stall has a wall right there so it's difficult to get a double stroller or wagon into the stall
azalie armknecht: Thank you so much for making our sons 1st birthday a blast!!! We had so much fun with the cow train and bounce house!
SEAN B: The pond is a great place to introduce kids to fishing. Just remember to pay a small fee at the gift shop first. They have fishing poles for rent and worms to purchase. =]
Joey Darlington: Awesome place
Sherri: great park in Springfield. Spring it always a fun time to visit to see the babies.
Jara: Super fun & great for toddlers! Love the playground & picnic areas! Can’t get much better for a free activity! Only thing we missed was some of the animals because they weren’t out when we were there.
Heron Adames: My kids love it!
Ronald Davis: It's phenomenal place for children to interact with animals, a pond for fishing approx $5., And the biggest thing a safe tranquil place inside of Springfield!! There's a clean open BATHROOM, although give yourself plenty of time to get there, it's FAR TO THE BACK!
Holly Thompson: The animals are fat and happy. Great for all ages but best for kids. They have a classroom in the barn as well as a play place near the entrance. Has a new paved trail.
Chris Jones: It's always a blast going here I only wish there was more animals
Amanda McGeough: I like how conveniently located this park is. The playground is nice and they have a little fishing pond with poles for rent and bait for sale. My family frequents this location for the trail. Even our doggy loves it!

the Johnsons: Beautiful light display!!!
Charlie Winger: Always a good time.

B Berry Farms: what do users think?
Mfb._.27 _: I order some body spray, it came quick and packaged nicely and neatly with a handwritten note and a free tube of chapstick. Great stuff, great company, great people.
Chris Smith: It was super relaxing and the owner was extremely friendly. Loved it! Kids had a blast!
Morgan Cotton: They were great! So friendly, and accommodating. Loved the cabin bunk house and it’s amenities. Location was convenient and we will definitely be going back.Noteworthy details: Kid and pet friendly, activities were abundant. The grills fire pits and provided wood were so nice! Very well thought out and comfortable stay!
Kathleen Pionek: My order for Rose Body spray arrived well packed and delivered on time . Excellent order experience of an excellent product .
Jb Pahl: A great place to spend the night! Quiet, beautiful, and stars abounding. These nice folks make a way to share their blessings, and I would go out of my way to stay there again.
Brianne: We booked a short-notice stay at the Rabbits Den campsite on the farm. Teresa was more than accommodating and was there to welcome us to the beautiful property. The campsite was perfect, set back in the trees with a very well-maintained tent area. All sites and trails were well marked, with an outhouse, showerhouse, and rec room all available as well.We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place to stay. The variety of berries was truly impressive as well. 🙂 I can’t wait to go back!
Laura Love: The owners are nice. I love it so beautiful, and quite. The bunk house is nice and clean. The camp grounds are clean lots of room. I definitely will be back.
Nicholas Monroe: Absolutely amazing trip. Compared to every campsite I have stayed at in my life, this one was the best for the price. It cannot be compared to any others. The host did beyond what should ever be expected. We were given a free homemade lip balm, a smores kit, and two fresh baked cookies upon our arrival. If we are in this area again we will without a doubt make sure we stop by here. I cannot recommend it enough
sahar ebrahimi: I stayed with my spouse while moving with a truck. We arrived when it was dark. The host kindly lit the fire for us—a beautiful natural spot. They gave us Excellent quality chapstick (lip balm), and invited us to pick ripped berries in the morning. They didn't have warm water for shower.
Jennifer Peebles: This is a great campground! Teraesa Greeted me with a s'mores package and complimentary lip balm she makes. I recommend this place to anyone passing through the area. Great campsites solar shower house (adorable) . They made there campsites cute and Comfortable.
Jules Huang: This is a beautiful farm. We pulled over for a night on our cross country trip home. They have different campsites, nice trails, and Teresa was there to greet us with a welcome goodie bag. In addition they have great products, I ended up purchasing some bath teas, lotion sticks, and tea. They all smell amazing. Next time I’ll have to camp here when it’s berry season!
DesertPointers: Great place to camp! Hosts were amazing and even had a fire started/greeted us on arrival. Could not recommend more, if you are considering staying here do not hesitate.
Michael Barry: Highly recommend! We stopped in for a late night under the stars on a unseasonably cool evening in August and packed up early and headed out. Two people, one tent, one car, and a spacious campsite. The owners were very welcoming and accommodating. Set us up with a great campsite and then left us to our own privacy.
Matthew Gonzales: Great place, genuine family/owners. Can’t ask for much more. We stayed at their campsite and extended our stay longer. We enjoyed picking berries in the morning with our breakfast. We became “locals” at the ConocoPhillips/D Diamond travel station and enjoyed the townspeople gather in the mornings for coffee and socialize. Everyone in Elkland were very nice and we were shocked at the hospitality of the town and missouri...considering we come from Texas/ southern hospitality. The owners greeted us with a Smores kit included and left us with a delicious blackberry cobbler. They also make tons of products themselves- ended up spending $60 on their products which are quality.
Mike Dail: Great spot, not too far from town but still feels like the woods. Very friendly hosts, with nice products to sell! The chapstick is dope. Could hear locals revving their trucks on the way to the local gas station for the weekend, but otherwise was just the bugs to listen to at night. Camp sites give enough space between to not see each other, and have fire rings and room for a 6 person tent and some hammocks.
Zach Terhark: Very nice people and they had lots of great blackberries to pick!
Mandy Harris: I found them through a Google search for fudge shampoo, conditioner, and body wash for my daughter’s 12th birthday 🎂 My daughter absolutely loves all things chocolate and I thought what better way to appreciate self care than finding products with what she loves most?! I prefer supporting our country’s small businesses over chain stores + it’s a BERRY FARM 😋 I fell in love with their online presence and knowing that I can actually pronounce ingredients that they use- a must for our family. She turns 12 tomorrow and I’m sure that she will love her basket! Thanks to Teresa and staff at BBerry Farms for going over and beyond with customer service!

Springlawn Farm: what do users think?
Corben Eighmy: Cool sightings
Sydney Blair: Future reference: this place is private property and the police will most likely get called on you for trespassing! Probably best to just leave the place alone
bETH gOODELL: Creepy out of the way
Kaya Violet: Followed the address and it took us to the neighborhood pool and showed us that it was in the woods but there was no way to like go in, the grass is very high and we are confused if anyone can help please let me know
Jay Jarrett: I will at a later time !
Ineffable Raps: Don't get lost in the dark.
Jessie Hood: I’m a paranormal fan and I came to drive across Hatchet Man’s bridge. You can see some structures from the road but I didn’t go on the property.
Mason Strange: Very creepy. The stonework draws you deeper into the thicket as you try to piece together what happened here. It's good stuff
cheap dale (Moose): This farm was once owned by the Sheedy family. Spinster sisters were the last of the family to live here. They hired an albino to be caretaker to the property. Rumours abound and many local folks will tell you that his ghost still haunts the old farmstead. The Tall Tale Of The Albino FarmPosted by Grace ChangSpringfield is known as one of the most haunted places in Missouri.Just north of the Greenlawn Cemetery is a property over 100 years old called the Springlawn Farm which is also known as the “Albino Farm.”According to the local legends from the Underground Ozarks, a forum of people who explore “places you’re not supposed to go” in the Ozarks, the farm was owned by a farmhand that had albinism who scared off trespassers with a shotgun or a hospital that performed experiments on people with albinism. One of the most prominent pieces on the farm is this “Evil Awaits” painted on a structure outside of where the foundation of the house stands.Although there are countless urban legends that follow this eerie plot of land, there was not always a ghost story attached to it.The farm originally belonged to the Headleys family in the late 1800s then later in 1915 was sold to the Sheedys family; it was home to a horse racing track reported by Herschel Fincher of The Springfield Leader & Press in 1979.Once the last the Sheedy heir passed away, an auction flooded the estate for the Headleys’ belongings.September 1, 1980 fire was set to the barn, potentially by arsonists, which spread to the house, leaving the structure unable to be saved by the volunteer firefighters on site according to an article from Barbara Clauser of The Springfield News & Press.Since price of the damages were so severe, the repairs were not worth the cost.Today the Springlawn Farm stands with arbitrary pieces of architecture covered in graffiti on a few acres of land.

Ritter Springs Park: what do users think?
Peggy Irwin: Beautiful and very peaceful a must visit spacious restroom and playground amenities and bring your fur babies
James Wildes: Has some nice trails and a playground for the kids. Great areas to take pictures as wellPlayground: Modern playground with plenty of room to run and play.Restrooms: None on site that I could see.Picnic area: If you don't mind a 10 min walk theres a nice pavilion towards the little lake.
Deborah Hutton: I went 2 weeks ago beautiful place but the tic problem was out of control don't go unless you want a lot of tics!
Julie Kaup: We love this park! It's rarely busy. The waterfall and bridges are cool to look at. My boys love the cannon and playground. The trails are dirt and gravel but very well maintained. Great place to get out in nature and explore!Playground: A great variety of play equipment for all ages.Restrooms: Clean restroomsPicnic area: Many picnic tables to choose from. Quite a few trash can as well. Everything is well maintained.
Jake Conner: Definitely one of my favorite parks.Peaceful, quiet. It's a hidden gem
Дима Яков: Love this place.
Nick Poulsen: Great walk to see a cave. Very peaceful. Can't wait for the pond to look great
Matt Paasch: A fantastic park!
Nick S: Getting to the water is a very long walk ... no fishing signs I thought I could fish here but was fooled
Terri Andrews: A favorite since childhood. Another gorgeous place just outside of town. There's something for everyone here to enjoy. Playground is pretty cool too.
Laurie Lundberg: Nice clean park. Well maintained. You can walk on paved pathways or on grassy trails, which is great, especially if you have dogs.
Martina Sally: This is such a wonderful trail for small children or beginners. it's about 2.5 miles or 45 min. The weather was nice, the paths are wide and the trail itself consist of 2 trails. One trail is in and out and the second is a loop. There's also a park and bike path.
Emily Pierce: Hard place to visit when the roafs are blocked off and you have to walk a long ways to get to whete you think you want to go. The Pavilion was a bit of a letdown. And there was one port-a-potty, as the bathrooms were padlocked. Very inconvenient.
Kate Hedberg: Great place to spend time outside! Dogs stay on leash, but there are lots of trails and a playground for kiddos.Dog-friendliness: Stay on leash!
Emma Barnett: This is a beautiful trail with plenty of greenery and water features to enjoy!
Kevin Armstrong: Great park. Very secluded for how close to town it is
J Fellers: Nice park 4.5 Stars on North side of Springfield near Fantastic Caverns. Has playgrounds for children archery, with grills and tables. Only complaint is info board is not clear where lake and bridge is past gate, was that Ritter Spring?? .65 mile past gate in front down gravel road is lake, bridge, old damn. Not sure if Ritter Spring is farther down ?? For another day. Come on parks mark trails and sites better.
Joplinlady Unicorn: Wish it wasn't such a long hike to get there!
Graveyard Blunt: My favorite place in the winter months, nobody here
Sheila Steele: I absolutely love this place it's beautiful. I haven't been here since I moved back to Oklahoma in 2016 but I used to go here quite often there's a little cave we used to go inside you can walk all over the place it's just beautiful.
Aric Freed: Absolutely beautiful location for pictures!
