Lake Springfield Park and Boathouse: what do users think?
Snow Popis: $24 for two kayak rentals for an hour right before sunset. Wondeful staff! Friendly, knowledge, and we had a great experience.
Joey F: The location is great. The park, grass and all of the grounds are beautifully maintained. The lake itself, however, yuk. Stall stagnant stinky moss and algae filled water. Almost guaranteed to catch something coming in contact with that water. Wouldn't let my dogs in it and wouldn't bother taking my kayaks there. We'll do fellows lake for kayin'. Aside from that, it's a beautiful place.
Travis Southern: Nice park with a decent lake to fish in has a place to stay out of the rain and a playground for the kids and a decent amount of grills for a cookout not the worst park in Springfield MO for sure I guess I could recommend it for fishing blue fill and bass and catfish and occasionally you can get a spoonbill but almost always wrapped up with fishing line please clean up all of your fishing line and anytime you see some laying around please pick it up keep our lakes clean for our kids and our kids kids for the love of God .
Heather Roberson: What a wonderful place! Ive lived in Springfield for many years and have never been here until today. I have learned the error of my ways. This place is amazing! Theres kayaks and canoes to rent, a park to enjoy, frisbee golf course, playground for the kids with picnic tables. My family plans on coming soon to enjoy some of the amenities. It was so nice to be able to see a wide variety of waterfowl so close to a major city. Thank you to the Park Board for this wonderful gem!
Mindy Rosella Chambers: A beautiful place to hike and see aome beauty. I dont like that theyve cut all the scrubbery out. Its no longer as magical as it once was. But it still has some pretty views overlooking the lake. A great atomostphere too.
mando rodarte: Playground: Great view
Darren Scott: Lovely
Echo Alexzander: A beautiful park with lots to see and do!
M C: A nice park with easy trail. Saw some wild deers and ducks..
Lilith Conn: Pretty
Blair Furstenberg: Always well taken care of.
Joshua Spurgeon: An enormous park property with a nice lake!Plentiful parking areas.Large gravel parking area near lake.
David Vance: We had an awesome little outing. We are unfamiliar with the area and considered ourselves lucky to happen upon this place we paddled and fished up the river area. Very beautiful
Carla Smith: Had an amazing time! Went on the Intro to Kayaking class with Robin and Erin. It was great. Ladies were helpful and didn't let sky of us drown. Very important. Great place gorgeous views!!!
Jacob William: Wonderful nature space. Uncrowded, excellent wooded hiking trail system, great green spaces, play equipment, and a very nicely marked disc golf course. The only thing needed is an extension of the paved trailway for the elderly and parents pushing a baby.
Igor Pulbere: We went kayaking on the lake, weather was nice, kids enjoyed the ride
Brandon Lauthern: A nice venue for small gatherings. It has picturesque surroundings, feels secluded, and is a neat and clean facility.
Melissa Haddix: We celebrated our grandsons graduation party here and it was very nice!
Meko Bahl: Fishing, glaring at people and getting glared at. People kayaking and smiling...it was fine, although i did lose some of a tooth, which made me have a painic attack.I guess that's really not Springfield lakes responsibility ....also, there's a lot of snakes there in the water.
Pamela Keller: Beautiful, families walking with their pets. Others and fathers with their children and their canoes and boats and fisherman in their boats catching fish. The birds flying over in the water which is beautiful so clean so much fun loved it.
Kage Foundation: I love the new 18 hole disc golf course!!

Crighton Beach Access: what do users think?
zx6r diva: It's summer so lots of families visiting. Great place for kayaking, fishing, and swimming if in Springfield.
Wild Guide: The beach access isn't too bad but if you are taking kayaks or canoes the six mile trip down the river remember to wear life jackets and it's too rough for young kids and lots of tree's blocking the river in places so you'll have to get out and walk in various places. Expect to get wet, it's not a good cool weather trip. You'll cross under a few bridges before the lake but don't go near the bridge at the end of the lake as it has a dam under it which drops off 30 feet or so and you don't want to go over that.
Kelly Goad: Great little fishing spot.Playground: Can't say I seen a playground but I heard a bunch of kids splashing in a part of the water. That's about all a kid needs I think. Water and mud and sunshine.Restrooms: Just going to advise taking care if this before you come here.Dog-friendliness: Super dog-friendly. Just keep them leashed.Picnic area: Picnic out of the back of your car, truck etc., or on one of the many handy boulders.
Jean Witteried: Water is ice cold
Sammi Gisselbeck: Really nice access points, nice shady spots. Needs trash cans, lots of people don't take their trash
Will Work For Food: Great local access. I see a few of the bad reviews. Your a complete Idiot if you think that that river access means it’s this huge beach like on the west coast. Always a Karen in the bunch.
Hannah Wilson: Cute little river, me my boyfriend and baby went yesterday and it is perfect for both little children to play and adults to swim! It's a secluded gem in springfield and if you're looking for some family fun in the water, this is it!Dog-friendliness: Perfect for puppies!
Jm Chil: Bit of snow beautiful
Brittany: Better leave by sundown or this is what happens....very nice place to sit n think
Jamie Masten: Great swimming spot
Sue Lynn: Y'all this place is heaven period
Lily w: This place is great
Stephen Larson: Finally found a place I can get in the water and let my water loving dog have fun too!
Robert Griffin: Very nice little spot on the river. Stream is slow and kids love to play and splash about. Access is limited by the side of the road so be prepared for a small parking space especially on warm days on the weekends.
Jada Salinas: It was amazing perfect for me and my lil family
Celeste Silkwood: If I were a teenager looking for a place to cool off on a hot day, it might be ok. ~Great for fishing or a picnic.
Mary Ann Lengyel: Great river access with easy parking
Glen Loftin: A great place to relax and even has a rope swing
Victor Hudson: Really nice place not far from town . really convenient location if your in Springfield and don't want to go to far
Carla Smith: Clean place. Everyone was polite.
Nivara: Packed but fun

Tailwaters Access: what do users think?
todd milford: Needs cleaned up. Trash left everywhere.
SEAN B: I like fishing here, the two main things I don't like is how much trash and fishing line is everywhere. There's also a fish advisory.
Sawggi: FLOODED
Christina “Chino” Waydeman: One of my favorite places honestly. It's peaceful and beautiful. However people really need to pick up there trash!!! Help keep nature beautiful and don't leave ur trash laying around. Anyways I love this spot for a quiet quick city get away.
Kellie Cochran-Uziel: Love the area.. wish others would clean up their trash!
vic ger: It was ok. Wish the restroom was clean sometimes.
jr and: Great fishing spot and place to just hang out and chill. No playground but the water isn't too deep so kids can play in it with adult supervision. Pet friendly and restrooms are close to the water
Joshua Snyder: So much trash from fishing. I just wish people/ adults would pick up after them selves. Just use the plastic sack from your purchase as a trash bag.
Sara: Our boys and I are out here at LEAST 3 times a week and EVERY SINGLE time we end up having to walk out so many snagged lines to even be able to walk across to the islands to fish. Then once out there; filling 4-8 walmart bags with trash, fishing line, hooks, ECT -before we even get to start fishing. Filling walmart bags that we've found IN THE WATER!😢 I know this place has always been a chosen place for the weekend Wal-Mart fisherman but the laziness has become almost criminal.Being able to fish here is what makes this place so great. If things keep moving in this direction there will be nothing to enjoy. Nothing to fish for........Lazy has some far reaching implications. Dont ruin this spot because you're too lazy to pick up after yourself. Theres literally a trashcan right at the top of the walkway.
David Farley: Fishin'Public RestroomsDocksSideWalksWildLife
Jason: Nice place to drop in for a day on the river.
William Harrison: This is a great place to get some you time. People are slobs and leave garbage all down the shore; don't leave yours. I caught 4 fish on microblade spinners. No size but fun on light tackle.
Paul Barnes: Great place to take you a little walk or jog if you need to and there's a few Banks Fishing if you likefishing
Curtis Cauble: Didn't catch much but a great fishing spot
Michael Duffy: Only been once, I liked it. Could get crowded, but there was only me and two other guys there on a Wednesday. Take wading gear or prepare to walk out. Fluctuating water levels.
1984 -Oclock: Full of trash. The sign specifically says dont eat nore than 2 fish per month from this place, due to the amount of plastic in the fish. Very dirty, send someone to start fining all the people littering. Dont eat these fish. Could be a nice place if it were cared for.
Jessica Nicole: I don't know why we wasted our time. The water looks like it could kill you. It can if you eat more than 2 fish a month from here
Doug Carrell: Great spot for fishing and paddlesports.
Brett McCullough: Good place to get away from Springfield and back to nature
Jessica: Childhood favorite spot! Great place to fish!
Carlos Lopez: Es agradable

Grant Beach Park and Pool: what do users think?
Travis Walden: It ok
Anand David: Not too many people in the evening. Admission prices were cheap ($4 for kids and $5 for adults). Note that concession stand pricing is expensive.
Margaret Beltran: To rowdy. Kids have bad language. I'm 68 years old and I will never take my grandkids there again. I had a bad experience 😪 😕.
Megan Buckner: Could be better
Delbert Willard: Watched kids play soccer
Jeffrey (turtlesavingclub): A park, with a train museum, a mixture of regulars. It's sketchy and sweet at the same time.Playground: Yes, though I'm too big to give it a go.Restrooms: Right now they just have porta potties.Dog-friendliness: Dogs, yes.Picnic area: You can eat if you choose. It's not make believe anymore.
Cynthia Cunningham: They have porta=ptties. There used to be REAL bathrooms, idj what hapoened.Playground: There is some playground equipment there.Restrooms: PortipottiesPicnic area: The have grills and tables
Tyler Furst (VERITAS VITA LUX): Too much chlorine
Tiffany Baker: It's a cute playground, but you never know what you may see happening there. The restrooms are not open most days. We try not to hang out too close to dark.Restrooms: Usually closed.
Shane Duval: Great girls
Melinda Aiello: It is a nice wide open park. There is plenty to do there. Bathrooms would be nice.
Mary Peterson: A brief stroll for exercise. There was not a lot of people there. Two children playing briefly on slides and bars. The West pavilion had a group presence that was somewhat suspicious and unnerving. They maintained their distance. One dog walker with dog on leash also strolled without incidence. Nice park area, well maintened. Frequent police presence monitoring area at times.
Nancy Jane: Going to miss this park and the interesting people who gather here
J.D. Arthur: Place was very dirty. I know they can't help who is at the park but most people that were there on the day I went were not people I would want my kids around. A lot of drugs and bad activities were taking place over the 4 hours we were there. As my family and I were walking the trail we found 2 needles that someone had left on the ground. I do not recommend this park for children that are not going to stay right next to parents. If the park was cleaned a little better and it didn't have so many homeless and bad people there I would rate higher.
Girlinda Riley: Perfect !!!!
Laura Love: The homeless took over the park . It is dirty and they need to address the issue so people will feel safe going to park.
Becky Cote: The dogs loved walking around this park...
Andrew Mann: Best pool in the Springfield area, especially for those with little kids.
regina cox: Roads and parking lots need repaired
Heaven Rigdon: Very fun pool! Has a great splash pad for the kids.
Joshua Goeke: Best outdoor pool in Springfield, no contest. Come swim here, it's great.
