Ash Espayos: I ordered an Xtra spicy Kung pao beef combo for my husband and a regular orange chicken combo for me. They gave me spicy orange chicken! So spicy I couldn't eat it. They also didn't tell us what was in the Kung pao beef and there were vegetables that my husband was allergic too in there. The rice tasted really bland. Won't be eating here again.

REDICO: Visited New Oriental almost weekly while working in the area. Food quality and quantity is very consistent. Employees are attentive and practice good housekeeping and food handling. Good value for your money.It is not the largest of dining rooms (@ 50 customers max.) Quite often customers in adjacent booths and tables will interact throughout their meal due to the intimacy and casual nature of the dining room.

elysha mcadoo: So disappointed. They used to be my go too order for Chinese delivery as we are just outside of town. The egg drop soup was a favorite until today. Our order was correct, but not as good as it has been. The egg drop soup was just wrong. It tasted un seasoned. The crab Rangoon was half burnt and pretty un stuffed. Our mains, an orange chicken and cashew chicken, were dry in the meat and soggy in the rice. Even our side of low mein noodles was under sauced and bland. Overall it was way below our expectations and super disappointing. I didn't even get any soy sauce on the side (after asking for extra). I don't know what changed, but hopefully for the other regular customers they figure it out. I know it will be some time before I give them a chance again.

Ha Ngan Hoang Beavers: 1 Star for the food as honestly, it is decent. Not great but at an okay level.0 Star for the service quality.For whatever reason, they never have enough servers, thus the food is always served slowly. For those with jobs who just have an hour for lunch, this is not the place to eat. I know that, so I started getting pick-up orders instead. Also, whenever I placed a pick-up order, I always called at least 45 minutes beforehand to confirm.Unfortunately, at least 6 times out of 10 they have made me wait an extra 20 minutes or more for a pick-up order. The last time I made a pick-up order for two meals, they estimated that it would take 20 to 25 minutes which was totally fine with me. And when I came in to pick up my food, I was already 10 minutes late.Guess what? The food wasn't ready yet. We had to wait there because my sister had already paid for the food. Another 35 minutes passed. It seemed that they did not make our food until we showed up... And an important note, the dine-in at the time I came in was not busy at all. It was kinda dead, and I saw no dirty tables left so I figured it might have not been even busy there before I came in. So we waited an hour for a two-meal pick-up order.I would have not minded if they told me to pick up my food an hour later while they were on the phone with me. I just hate that they always make me wait an extra 20 minutes or more (like this time, 35 minutes) when I already arrive. This shows that they have ZERO RESPECT to their customers and their customers' time. Also, they never apologized to me when making me wait that long. The chef/owner always looks very unfriendly and grumpy.I used to work at several restaurants and I understand that sometimes, things may get crazy and you cannot satisfy every customer, and unpleasant moments may happen. But this has been a pattern and becoming very unacceptable.Another thing that I am concerned is that kids running around in the kitchen. Like little kids around 2-3 years old. Thats not safe.I had been a frequent customer and even referred this restaurant to many other people I know. Now not anymore. People I know who have came here also complained about the service quality and speed of the service.

Alex Spalding: The free samples of Bourbon Chicken from Max Orient were a high point of any visit to the Battlefield Mall; the food court entrance may as well be the only entrance for that reason. Bourbon Chicken wasn't a thing at most other Chinese restaurants in town back when I lived here, so getting it here felt like a unique treat. There are Chinese spots in other malls in the country that operate similar to Max Orient, but this is still one of the better ones I've been to.

Harley Bryant: Went to the new location, it was really clean in there and the guy making my order was very friendly and attentive. The egg drop soup was amazing freshly cooked and was hot when we got home too. The only thing I would say is the rice and chicken wasn't very hot, like it maybe sat for a minute but other than that it was great. It is very affordable too.

I'm Brandon: This is my first time at this location. Been to the mall a few times and it was great. I had the bento combo with noodles, bourbon chicken, and crab Rangoon with Cali roll. My wife had the same thing except with rice. The noodles and chicken was fine but the crab Rangoon had no filling. It was like eating a fried wonton wrapper. The rice had a weird after taste and left us disgusted. The cali was fine. Would I go back? Yeah to try something else but mostly for the bourbon chicken. This is just my honest review and your experience might not be the same as mine if you decide to go. Also would like to note the owner guy is nice and friendly. 4.5/10

Jonea Madison: Food is never hot, just lukewarm. The honey chicken was horrible. General chicken was good. Orange chicken is a hit or miss. Bourbon chicken is good but again they need to work on having food that is hot. Get rid of the honey chicken because that’s not honey chicken. Panda Express has better honey chicken with the correct sauce. What they gave me looks like mayonnaise on fried chicken and it tasted horrible.

Wesley Murphree: Legitimately one of my favorite restaurants of all time. Their bourbon chicken is absolutely amazing and their orange chicken isn't far behind, either. The portions are very generous considering the overall cost doesn't usually come to more than 11.00$. The staff have been very kind with me and I never have any complaints with how they conduct themselves. The atmosphere of the store is decent (it IS in a mall, which kind of ruins things). I'll continue eating here for quite some time and I'm very excited to see the grand opening of their new store on battlefield and national.

I brought the food home to eat, so sure it lost a bit of freshness, but ive had other take out chinese food from other places that was still excellent, even as leftovers the next day so that is no excuse for the poor quality of this food. Everything was dry. Practically choking on the food to eat it. Vegetable fried rice? More like fried rice with 1 piece of carrot. I had the sweet and sour chicken. Somehow there was more sauce on the outside of the package than on the chicken. On the menu it said 1 order of crab rangoons was 3 pieces. I got 2. My first time eating here, epic fail. Not coming back here when there are much better chinese restaurants in town. This encounter just made me appreciate the other restaurants more.

Half Sumo: If you like authentic Chinese, this is for you. Springfield cashew chicken is above average. Service is great.Edit: today's food was horrible, luke warm, portion sizes have been cut in half since my last visit a few months ago, sauce was runny. Chicken tasted old, left over from the day before. We got the cashew and general chicken. The quality vs price equation, usually a sure thing but the price is up and quality is way down.

You can't beat the delicious appetizers at this restaurant either, to me these were the best part of coming here. I recommend the squid for sure. Used to be a lot cheaper, prices look like they've gone up.

Great staff for sure! Some of the more attentive than most since covid made people not care about jobs. These people do care and it shows. My one weakness is egg drop soup and it really was stellar stuff!! Egg drop is about the perfect balance in the soup and it's not easy to get right but Triple Eights did it perfectly. No disappointment in this restaurant and if you like Asian food don't pass by Triple Eights on West bypass at the light just North of Sunshine.

Alex Spalding: Favorite Dish: Cashew ChickenThis was the first and for many years the only Chinese restaurant I ate at growing up in Springfield, and it will always have a place in my heart. The food is good quality, though it's much better as a sit-down restaurant than trying the drive-thru or to-go as the sauce can take the crunch out of the submerged and steaming hot chicken. Not sure if they still have it, but for a time they offered a very small buffet option. This may have just been for lunch and/or on certain days. It was nice, if limited. I love Chinese Chef!

Tessa Summers: I'm so disappointed because my bf used to live in Springfield and it was his favorite place. We havent been down in a while but it was our place to go. We were really looking forward to it.Not only was this terrible for what we know of Leons reputation but it was worse than I've had at almost any Asian cuisine. Our wait service was bad. Communication was good but attentiveness to detail was awful. They were not busy as it was Monday at 8pm but still somehow got the feeling we were rushed. The waitress cordial. She was prompt taking our order and getting our drinks. But once food came out, we were on our own until the check.The food was sad. We could eat most of it so did not get a one star but waa close. Four of us split an appetizer and barely choked down one dry and undefiled crab Rangoon. I wish i had gotten a picture of it all. The portions were small or mostly rice/noodle but it was good we weren't complaining. Until we got the bill.Four plates and one appetizer was about 100 bucks. None of us ordered anything fancy. Chicken dishes mainly and i was the only person to not finish. The plates were normal size (even on the small side for Asian cuisine) and Definitely not 20 dollars in quality. I mentioned rhe crab Rangoon because we had some left between all of us and the reply was "so you're done with it".After a 20 min wait and going to the counter, we finally paid for it all and still tipped but won't be eating here again. I had to go to the front and stop two people just to pay and get a bag. John Reynolds: I recently took my wife & mother in law for lunch on Saturday, the day before Mother’s Day. I have ate there for over 40 years along with Gee’s , Leona’s brother. We ordered cashew & sweet & sour chicken. The chicken was very tough . . . brought home for our dog. Also, the sauce for the cashew chicken was completely different. Nothing like the old sauce! Can’t do it again.
