Angela Trementozzi: I took an old fur coat of my mom's to McDaniel's. As my mom passed away, the coat has sentimental value to my family even though it is not in condition to be worn. Jeff Latimer (owner) was kind enough to take time to explain how I could use remnants of the coat to make keepsakes for my family from it. He not only gave me a lesson, but then the tools to do it myself. I offered to pay him for the 40 minutes of his time and the tools to which he thanked me but declined. It is not often these days that establishments take this type of time, effort and kindness. I highly suggest this business to anyone who is looking to purchase, store or repair their furs.
Brittney Evans: Jeff was so incredibly helpful I had to write a review even though I didn't wind up purchasing a cleaning; he taught me about my faux fur coat, what he could do for it, smelled me an example, and how another type of cleaner might serve me better. He was so kind and patient, willing to go above and beyond to make sure my coat received the best service it could get. I will be referring everyone to McDanieniel's fur to see what Jeff can do for them. Thank you again for being an honest and friendly person, my day really needed that!!

Greg McGinnis: The Review Shop is my favorite go to place for reasonably priced, stylish, high end clothing..I left a pricy diamond ring there while trying on costume rings.I had no idea where where I'd lost it. . A month or so later I walked in to just to be told they had been waiting on me to come back in. The owner left the room and came back with my ring... This is just one of the reasons they've been in business 30 yrs.

Three employees standing behind the counter listening to another customers drama with plenty of f bombs but not one of the employees could greet me walking in. Found prices to be high even though their items were nice. I shop thrift stores regularly and they're overly priced! I browsed throughout to never be acknowledged! Found a top went to checkout was asked if I had a rewards card mentioned no because I was from out of town the old snooty thing behind the counter never said nothing more to me other than my total not even a thank you for stopping in. Not impressed at all. I will call this a three trip in one even though I'm in Springfield fairy often it's my first, last and only time to shop this store!

What I wasn't happy with though was when I went to go pick up my purse from layaway, they increased the price by $85, because they forgot to charge me tax. I feel like they should of ate the $85 dollars since I had already paid what I thought was the official ending price. In fact this is how that happned, not professional in my opinion, before I walked out the door, after I had paid, they told me that I owed $85 more was a little over the top. Especially since she stated that they had been doing this for over 30 years and knew what they were doing. Well, I guess they really didn't know what they were doing. Very frustrating, especially when you have budgeted what you had been told was the final price. I will not be shopping there again. In fact my friend had 4 items to buy and she put them all back after she heard the way they handled my experience. Not professional people, customer is always right, eat your $85.

We really appreciate the Middle Aged blond lady ( I’m sorry we didn’t catch her name) but she has been there since 2011. She not only knows how to direct the shoes needs you explain you have, but takes you to them and tells you I why they work well for others. Proper training is important especially when dealing with customers who have been coming many years. We prefer a women sales person to help us select women wear.

Jake Fuemmeler: John’s Suit Shop is an incredible store with tons of variety for suits, precisely done alterations, and with great pricing for such high quality clothing! Victoria, the shop owner, is a pleasure to work with. She is responsive, stays organized with group orders, and is an expert at alterations!I had John’s Suit Shop services to thank for the suits myself and my wedding party wore in April 2023. These suits cost less than rentals I researched and are far better quality. And with 6 people to the order, my suit was free! John’s Suit Shop was able to make the order work, despite most of my friends not living nearby. Many of the guys, including myself, would argue it’s the most comfortable suits we own now!I highly recommend going here for all suits and men’s formal wear!

Excellent choice of suits.I was skeptical at first, since I’ve always got my suits at the big box stores, but I was very surprised by all the choices and experience of the owner. Jackie O'Connor: Buyer beware!! We had a terrible experience with John’s Suit Shop. We bought all the groomsmen suits for my son’s wedding here. They were supposed to order a suit that came in both slim and regular sizes. The one that was supposed to be a slim cut had to be altered because after receiving it they informed me that the suit we bought didn’t come in slim. I had to pay for the alterations and when I spoke with the store they refused to take responsibility.The worse thing though was that two of the suits were completely the wrong size. At the wedding two of our groomsmen were unable to button their jackets. Again the shop refused to take any responsibility or make any concessions at all. I was told that this had never happened before and that they would not do anything at all for the problem. DO NOT USE THIS STORE!!!!Edit: The store’s response proves my point. They will not take any responsibility. And the truth is I did not “demand a refund”. I explained the situation and got a list of reasons this was not their fault. Even after all the trouble we had up to this point I was surprised that the store would not want to at least apologize. I explained again and they asked what I wanted, I said I didn’t think we should have to pay for suits that can not be worn and had such a negative impact on the wedding day. She refused and I asked what her suggested remedy was, she said “nothing”.I am including a picture of the suits we talked about on our original trip to the store. We were very clear that we would need very different sizes/cuts and the employee directed us to the suits that would fit out need. I can’t imagine how something else was ordered for us and why the suits fit at the initial fitting but were unwearable at the wedding (which was two months later).The shocking thing is the total lack of willingness to apologize or make any sort of concessions.

It seems the staff doesn't pay attention to the items when filling the racks. Lots of women's clothing is placed in the men's clothing area. Not 1 or 2 items, many. Like 10 of the same shirt or all sizes of a jacket. C'mon, pay attention!Not impressed with the selection, the organization of products or most of the pricing. It has declined since they opened.Store is messy and bathrooms are filthy.Not recommended, it's a gamble.

Bought my son a pair of boots and the girl at the counter acted like she checked the size but after getting them home and my son wore them couple days said they didn’t feel right and found that one was a different size. Called them and said bring them back no problem then after drive a hour back there they said no they wouldn’t exchange the wrong size boot. So beware they will still have another pair not sized right. Paid to much money for boots for this kind of poor customer service !
