Hadassah Lairmore: I want to give credit where credit is due. I slipped into Gearhead just to window shop at the hammocks, and maybe try and see if there were any string lights I could use for my upcoming camping trip. They had some options, but they weren’t as long as I needed them. Alexander was helping me out, and when he realized they didn’t carry the length of lights I was looking for, offered to give me some of his personal lights that he no longer uses, free of charge. This is one of the best customer service experiences I’ve ever had and I just wanted to thank Alexander for helping me out!

Serena Villela: I avoid the mall at all costs. I had a package to pickup at Maurice’s when I got the call from my husband that our can opener broke (which we need for my sick dog’s medicine). I walked over to Gearhead for the first time to see if they had camping can openers. They did not have what I needed. However, the guy and girl at the counter we’re amazing. I’ve worked customer service for 12yrs so I appreciate good customer service when I see it. They were funny, patient, and kind. They went above and beyond.

Mr. Hamburger: This is my absolute favorite store on the planet man. They have a large selection of hiking/outdoor clothes, shoes and gear.The staff is super friendly and on their toes to help out each time I’ve visited the store.I’m certain that they have the best selection of outdoor apparel of any store in town.
Abi Goodrich: I was ignored the entire time I was in the store. I was there to buy hiking shoes and was able to try on the display model, but I needed a size up. Since no one would even acknowledge my existence, I left and bought the exact same shoe at Tradehome Shoes (where I received excellent and speedy service even though they were super busy). I don’t know why I expected this visit to be any different than every other time I’ve entered the store.

Ella Michaels: Clean, well organized little store with a nice product selection! Fun to look around in. And they’ll work with you on ordering gear you need if they don’t have it in stock. Customer service is attentive and helpful. However I’ve noticed the past few times, the big guy who’s always there is pouty and just straight up rude to the poor other workers, to the point where it’s very noticeable from a customer standpoint. It makes the shopping experience uncomfortable. If you’re going to bully your coworkers, at least don’t do it in front of all the customers in the store. Just writing this hoping to bring it to the attention of management so this can be looked into.

Considered buying a lot of my products online but after stopping in to see what they offer and ask questions it was a no brainer that this is where I want my money to go. Rebekka Hansen: I went in to look for hiking boots. The lady was really helpful and attentive, and helped me try on multiple pairs while explaining pros and cons. I’m kind of picky and due to the market there weren’t tons of options—anyways I ended up loving a pair but when I tried them on we realized my foot is too wide for those to be comfortable for me. She could’ve just soldthem to me but she recommended that I find a shoe that’s wider so I can have good circulation whilehiking. That built my trust with her and if I need to get gear in the future I’d love to try them out again.

Johnathan Sensenig: Who doesn't like going to the world's largest and foremost outfitter BassPro? There's so much detail to take in when visiting the store. If you've never been here set aside plenty of time for your visit so you can see all the store has to offer!

Brian Newton: Love coming in here to see what's discounted. There is a huge amount of clothing that has been marked down. Anything from shorts, pants, t shirts, dress pants, and swim shirts. They have a big selection of shoes aswell. The fishing section is also large. Fly fishing as well. I like to swing in about once a week to see what they have. It changes weekly, it seems like. They had a pit boss marked down the last time I was in there. Camping equipment and a canopy. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area and looking for anything hunting, fishing, and hiking related. There is also a glass case with knives for sale and flash lights and GPS units for fishing boats. Sometimes, the boxes are damaged, but I have never had an issue with the products that were packaged.

Neva Mahan: I Can’t even say they have the worst customer service because customer service doesn’t exist. They do not answer phone calls, emails, or social media. The owner can post about meet ups and products he allegedly sells but cannot respond to actual customers. We paid for a tent which allegedly could not be fulfilled. After several months we inquired about our order and no response. We had to dispute the purchase and after promising a law suit the owner finally received all of our messages. He claimed the problem was with his bank. We still did not receive a refund. Our dispute was resolved and we were found not responsible because product was never provided. Other customers have made the same complaints for years which we were unaware of. Do not purchase anything from Artemis Overland.

Paul Taylor: I was sent there trying to find an off the wall connector for my generator. They didn't have it ( neither did anyone else) but the customer service was incredible. It's been a while since I had people help me as much as they did. Impressive!

Michael, Daphne Barnett: Ordered a $2,200 bumper on 3-13-23 it’s 4-21-23 haven’t heard a peep. Emailed a bunch of times to 2 different emails. Still haven’t heard anything from anyone. Asked for my order to be cancelled and refunded. Still haven’t heard from anyone. Filed a dispute with affirm to hopefully get this settled. That is a lot of money to be ok with taking from a customer and then ghosting them. Not very professional at all. Just a bunch of thieves.

Sean Charley: Stay away from any online ordering. I can’t vouch for their physical store location (if it even still exists), but all of the reviews about placing an order and getting charged and not receiving any product are correct. I placed an order, then followed up via email asking for an order update but received no response. Thankfully, I was able to dispute it with my credit card company and was able to receive a refund. Don’t do business with this company unless you want a headache.

David Chung: Made an order on 11/2/2022 and it is now 12/9/2022. Emailed them checking on shipping status…no response. Emailed them again asking for refund because they weren’t responding in any way….no response. I could have ordered from a bunch of other sites but for some random reason I ended up ordering from Artemis. Are they still in business? Or do they just collect the payments and ignore fulfilling the orders. Haven’t posted a bad review of a business in years but I don’t know how else to get their attention. Sad. Don’t make the same mistake I made. So frustrating.

At this point I’m going to report this to my credit card company as fraud.Update: after reporting to CC Company as fraud, order gets cancelled and I finally get a response email.
Larry: Purchased a lift kit on 9/25. It's now 10/7. I have been calling since I purchased it and have gotten noting but a run around. Explained I had a time line and they just emailed letting me know after confirming the parts were available that they actually are not. They haven’t offered a refund at all and won't return my calls. Buyer beware, this company has poor communication and no ethics.
