Renee Greer: Fabulous from first glance to final farewell. Extensive bar. Colossal shrimp cocktail was suburb. Wedge salad fill of tasty gorginzola. Cesar claimed to be best in st louis and was outstanding. I had rack of lamb, probably the best I have tasted in last 10 years! My guys went with bone in rib eye and gorginzola crusted filet. Both said you could cut with fork, that tender. 3 servings of twice baked potatoes...once we saw them we had to order! No room for dessert, although each looked too good to eat. Food topped only by the attentive, but not intrusive wait staff. Can simply not add enough accolades...try Carmines as your special foodie treat!

Hetfield47: We dined here for our anniversary last night. Right off the bat the service was phenomenal. Jessica was on point and very attentive as was the rest of the staff. Greatly appreciate that :). We had the 8oz with a twice baked potato and i dont think i have ever had a potato that good! The steak was one of the best i have ever had as well. It was just an overall great experience and thank you for being apart of our celebration. Will defiantly be back and recommend to others. Keep up the fantastic work! Thanks again.

Travis Harrant: I had dinner tonight with some friends. J, our server, was amazing. He started is off with the recommendation of the steak nachos. AMAZING. He recommended the Porter House for dinner. We all ordered it. He suggested wine that paired very well with the steak. The service he provided for our dinner was beyond our expectations. He is a great kid and needs to know that. He had humor and joked with us the whole time. While doing this, he still was very professional and ensured his other tables had the same experience.Great kid. I hope this establishment can hire more kids like him.

He checked on us regularly to ensure that we had everything we needed, and he even made some great recommendations for wine pairings.The highlight of the meal, however, was J's genuine warmth, hospitality and sense of humor. He made us feel welcome and comfortable throughout the entire dining experience, and we could tell that he truly cared about making our meal memorable.Overall, I would highly recommend J as a server at Carmines Steakhouse. A Bell: Food was bad at best. My medium steak was barely warmed and had no seasoning. It was also super fatty and chewy. The shrimp were bland and my fries were cold. I wish we’d have kept waking past.The staff were friendly but everything else seems just dirty. There were fruit flies in the dining area.Low and behold. Within 24 hours two people in our party that had steak got food poisoning. Thanks for a ruined trip to St. Louis.

Sheri 62260: Food was exceptional. We waited awhile before even seeing the hostess. Several servers walked past is dropping off menus and never mentioned anything about the hostess. We were sat in the bar area. Not exactly the atmosphere we were looking for considering the price of the steaks we ordered. When I'm at a fine dining restaurant I don't want to see sports on tvs and here people laughing it up at the bar. The restroom up front was also a disappointment. Doors off and locks that don't lock. Paper towels not in the dispenser but sitting on the counter. The food however was very good. I got the 8 oz filet and it was melt in your mouth tender and cooked to perfection. My husband got the strip and he was equally satisfied. The atmosphere of sitting in a bar area really detracted from a phenomenal dining experience.

Breauna Biermann: The service and food were terrible. My husband and I ordered drinks and it took 15 minutes for him to get his and I never received mine. Our waiter never checked on us, except to take our orders, and everything was extremely slow, even though the room was only half full. We ordered the lobster tempura, it was essentially large chunks of over fried batter with little to no lobster. My New York strip was cooked correctly, but my husband ordered a medium rare prime rib and it was medium well and over charred on the outside. He said it was the worst steak he's ever had. It was absolutely not worth the price or the wait.

Karen Phillips: Heard a lot of rave reviews and was disappointed that the food did not stand up to all the hype. I had the Grantwood filet with lobster claw and it was served quite cool in temp with no seasoning on the meat. Another had the surf/turf also served quite cool on the lobster tail with no drawn butter but was tasty and at least the steak was seasoned well. Our waiter was fine, the few times he came by. He did mention they were short staffed that evening and we were offered complimentary dessert which we declined.

William Allen: Went here for anniversary dinner. I have been there many times, and I have never been disappointed. First, our table had rose petals, and last, we were treated to a delicious cheesecake dessert. The main course was a delicious melt-in-your-mouth filet with a side of loaded mashed potatoes. I believe they are under new management at this location bc this experience and the taste of the food was melt in your mouth delicious. My husband got the lamb chops I got the salmon with oscar (crab and asparagus)on top. We also got the lobster mac and the drinks. I can't wait to go back and this time it wont be a year.
Joseph Ensley: Can't say enough good things about this place! Great cocktails, great atmosphere, and fantastic views of the Arch! (It's literally across the street from the Arch, and we could see it through the windows) We had Alexis as our waitress, and she was fantastic! The food is always to die for! They were able to fit our table of 7 in with pretty short notice, and we had a great post-graduation celebration! Definitely try the Creme Brulee!

Anthony Howard: This was the worst experience we’ve ever had at a fine dining establishment. My steak was over cooked and I was escorted out of the restaurant. My wife steak was over done, and they would not redo it. They told me I was a liar, took pictures and humiliated me in front of my friends and family, the service was horrible. The atmosphere was horrible. If you want a good meal, you have a better chance going to McDonald’s. This place just needs to close their doors and take their pride with them because just because they have an Emmy Does it mean they can be rude to guests and and talk down to them like they’re inferior people customer supposed to be always right but not at this place. If you are local and have not been here, or if you are visiting St. Louis, this is a state of the art Steak House you must visit.While visiting St. Louis, we went to Hamilton Steak House and seated at the bar. The service we received from the bartender was exceptional. He went above and beyond to provide us with excellent recommendations and suggestions, not only on the menu but also on the cooking temperatures for our food. The food itself was outstanding, with a perfect taste and cooking timing. The place was also clean, well decorated, and in excellent shape. The lighting and ambiance were spot on, and the drinks were perfect. I especially enjoyed my old fashioned bourbon. I would strongly recommend the Chilled Jumbo Shrimp and the Crab Cakes (Please see Maryland Style Lump Crab Cakes).For Salad Plate we requested The Wedge and Classic Caesar. The Wedge was a delicious choice (Mine, LOL!) and the Classic Caesar wont stay back.My colleague ordered the Ribeye, while I ordered, the Dry Aged Bone-In Ribeye. The appetizers were incredible. Get the cauliflower fritters for an appetizer. Make sure to ask about the special. Had a few bites of my girlfriends steak and it was great. I had the venison it was incredible. Had desert cocktails, which were delicious. Come visit this incredible spot for the best vibes in the city.

Jeff Robinson (J-Rob): I'm never the 'send my entree back guy', unless absolutely necessary. I had to have my filet re-fired when a medium temp came out blue rare, rare at best. This is a steakhouse, but I understand that accidents do happen. I felt like any attempts to rectify this mistake lacked sincerity. Wait. What am I even saying? There weren't any attempts at all to rectify the mistake. Only the fakest apology that I've ever been given (waitress), a laughably dismissive "check-in" by what I guess was the manager (who offered absolutely no resolution whatsoever), and a 'deer-in-headlights' look from the 'hostess' - who may have possibly been an owner. Even a complimentary drink? Maybe? Nope. Considering the price of the menu & this restaurant group's experience, I simply expected a classier response. You should too. I will NEVER return. For $200+/couple, SPEND YOUR $$$ ELSEWHERE.

The first time (2021) i took my mom who ordered the tomahawk which was literally charred black on the outside. I ordered medium lamb chops which were also inedible because they were so tough& wheni told the waiter he became very defensive and rude. the same happened yesterday to me and my party all of the over priced steaks were over cooked PAST WELL and they were supposed to be medium. Antony Young: You know this is not a good steakhouse when (1) the best dish is the free bread (2) they serve the steak with “secret sauce”.
