kay riddle: My son and I sat at the counter. Great taco salad. It was great to find this free parking, if why we looked for this restaurant. In the area it's not easy to park. Cristal Luna: The restaurant was completely packed when I walked in. I had no issues with a long wait, it was to be expected. I stood at the register for 30 mins, I was never greeted or asked if I needed anything. Being that it was busy I didn’t want to take it personal. What upset me was when 3 people, yes 3 people who walked in after me had their order taken. All whom were Spanish speaking people. At first I thought they had online or pickup orders but that wasn’t the case. They all placed orders and then exchanged money. Finally a women decided to take my order and I went to sit down. As I approached the table my bf explained how another table was ignored multiple times and had to ask the staff if someone was going to help them. This table was there before we arrived. I continued to watch them bring chips and continue to ignore not only my table my bf had been sitting at but the other table that complained. I’m very understanding to restaurant staff. I’m also the LAST person to pull the race card. But when I see you give good service and attention to Hispanic and white people and ignore African Americans, it’s sad in 2023 we have to have this conversation and it’s disgusting. I will never come back to this place. I also saw one of the waitresses touch food to see if it hot with her fingers after dealing with money. And to top it off this was some of the nastiest Mexican food I’ve had. These were the worst fries, street tacos and queso I’ve ever had. My bf ordered a steak quesadilla that wasn’t tasty. Don’t waste your time or money coming here.

Rex Berry: The food was good, and I enjoyed the setting.It was busy, but not completely full. It was hard to get service, and we had to wait probably 20 minutes to order after we had our drinks, then when finished, it took about another 30 minutes to get our ticket. Then they took forever to get my card back to me. They were not that busy.

Tasha B: UPDATE May 2023: Reducing my rating because I tried to order carry out yesterday by calling and they hung up the phone in my face 3 times. They do not have a good system for ordering takeout and their restaurant is very busy and noisy and they cannot hear well on their line. They use delivery services for delivery, which may be a fine experience, but takeout is awful. As a result, I searched and found another Mexican restaurant (in Richmond Heights) and had GREAT service and GREAT birria tacos. I likely will not be going back to El Burro Loco after the experience yesterday.PRIOR REVIEW:The food was delicious! Loved the tamales and the chimichanga. Would have liked cilantro and onion with the birria tacos, but they were still excellent. My only complaint is the low quality serving ware. I’m fine with plastic ware, just give me good quality, sturdy plastic ware. Spend a little bit extra and go to Sam’s or Costco and get the better quality serving ware. I’ll be back, but I might bring my own serving ware.

Erica Brown: I visited this place twice and had a bad experience both times I revisited only because the food was good enough for another try. First visit hair on the menu ordered a margarita and it was some type of plastic inside of my ice I didn’t complain because the food was good. The staff customer service is trash the waitress‘s can barely speak English. And the supervisor or manager seems as if he had an attitude just terrible customer service I still paid tipped and left. Second visit I was seated table was dirty I moved to another table which was dirty as well the same man was mad because I moved he threw the menu on the table lol (only if he knew) I thought I hope the dishes are clean! food was alright shrimp tasted a bit raw and I didn’t really care for the birra tacos they tasted weird. but the customer service will throw anyone appetite off. I just don’t like the place and don’t recommend at all it’s better cleaner places in stl then to deal with unnecessary BS!

Valerie Coleman: I used to go to El Tapatio’s all the time for Mexican food. I went there today and the food was not good unfortunately. Instead of giving you the two large chicken tamales, they cut one in half to make two. It was really really dry and the chicken was extra dry. It will be a while if ever that I go to the restaurant again. Thank you for the opportunity to give my feedback.

Yung Lenk: I had the cachete, lengua, and cabeza tacos, they were very solid choices - I would’ve preferred them as more of a street taco style with just cilantro and onions, but they were very tasty. As a 200lb man, that wasn’t enough food, I’m probably going to have the torta next time because of the larger portions. The prices are still reasonable which I appreciate, facilities are clean and the faces are smiling.This time I ordered the chicken quesadilla. I am pretty sure they gave me some type of beef quesadilla because chicken just doesn’t look like what I was eating. The meat was fatty. However I will say, my order was only $8 pre-tax which these days are unheard of. Cody Cummings: This is one of the best taco stops in STL! Unlike a lot of other taco joints, they really give you a loaded taco for the price. Each one has fresh and flavorful ingredients, and did not disappoint. I typically buy 3 when ordering tacos, but you can get by with 2 and still feel full. I highly recommend the El Mojado if you want something big on flavor, and if you want a little spice, go with a flank steak taco.The wait time was less than 5 mins, and the service was great. It’s great for a lunch break or if you wanna go grab some food on your way to Earthbound brewing down the street. Give them a try the next time you’re in the mood for tacos or on Cherokee st.

The Cherokee nachos was good size, not bad, but had very little cheese. Taco’s carne asada was dry and again was lacking the carne asada seasoning. Mangonada was very good.

Raven: Over the years things have definitely changed. They lost their touch when Covid hit. I didn’t visit for a few year hoping they would get better. No. The meat was boiled and was full of water and juicy. Not juicy as in cooked all day nice and juicy but added water juicy. The rice was even watery. They have a daily drink special it’s the only thing that’s keeping the doors open. I would not recommend.

I've literally never done that before in my life. She may have been drunk. I mean how bad do you have to be to get a stoner to snap at you. She always has a pleasant attitude and a great memory for what I ordered last time. I have literally brought all of my friends here to taste the food and Margaritas. Violet V: This place is one of my absolute favorites. I have been coming here since I was a kid, the food quality for the price is phenomenal. The waitresses are always so nice & the entire place is extremely charming. The margaritas are sooo good & super affordable. Would rate this place 6/5 if I could, have never had any complaints :).Vegetarian options: They have a vegetarian section on their menu that has some really great (and cheap!) options.
Robin Lee: We are long time customers of Chimichangas, and this is my go to place for Enchiladas. They have always had the best in my opinion. However tonight was the exception.The service was great, my partner's food was amazing. But alas, my enchiladas were not as good as they usually are. There was very little enchilada sauce over them, and it seemed the enchiladas might have been sprinkled with a dry spice. They were much spicier on the outside than I've had before and they did not have as " corny" a flavor as usual.Maybe it was just an off night.I'll gladly go back and try again. They also had Happy hour going on from 4 till closing, $2.99 margaritas and such.
