Dale Noordam: NOPE! Car not ready even after I called before flight to confirm as flight was late. Had to spend money on a lyft to get to hotel then back to car rental in the morning. I found out that the airport was out of cars anyway as the Hertz 800 number said I could not pick up there as they did not have any. That's probably why they left, they gave my reservation away. Customer service was very courteous but what good is that if they don't give you the correct information. The local guy even said you can't believe what they say. That's not very reassuring. I will never rent from Hertz again no matter how many celebrities they pay for their commercials. They are a sub par company.

Waited 45 minutes and never saw the hertz shuttle, so I finally bummed a ride from an Alamo shuttle that had seen me standing there the whole time. Got there at 12:10 to be told they closed at midnight. My reservation was sitting there, but I could not get it because they were closed. I explained that the shuttle never showed up only to be told, “it was out there,” and then had the gate shut on me. Ended up having to get a $100 Uber instead. Wish I could give 0 stars.

S K: The two women working the store monday need some serious customer service help. If you don’t like your job, or don’t actually want to help customers might I suggest you look into working at the slaughterhouse perhaps some where you can inflict pain on other things that aren’t human beings. Perhaps maybe work at the DMV, for people expect to be abused when they walk in the door. Attitude isn’t needed when someone is simply asking for help and treating you with the upmost respect. I honestly pity these two elderly women, for their lives must be truly miserable.

When we dropped the car off and had to go to the airport the shuttle driver was very quick, nice, & helpful on getting us to our terminal. Very happy with this driver, if I would have gotten his name I would have definitely put that here because he seemed to go above and beyond compared to what some people do now a days at any given job! Beau Laughlin: The Hertz Car Rental in St Louis was a nice place to rent from. It was a little busy when we picked up the car, but the team worked within their means and abilities to make it as efficient as possible. It did take a long time to leave as there was only one lane open and this was a little frustrating but the attendant gave Ua a small gas credit for our long wait. I would rent from Hertz St Louis again.

Minor chips in the windshield caused a $175 charge and were present at pickup but overlooked as the windshield had dust/bird excrement and the chips were unnoticed. Of course without photo evidence there is no way to argue against the charges, but feeling pressured into the $175 charge because replacing the windshield would be "between $500-600" felt egregious. Would have expected better from Hertz.

Also, I requested to change a drop off location for another one that was only 29 mins away but, they wanted to charge $100 extra. Ridiculous

I had called both the corporate office and the local rental facility to confirm the reservation, and when it came time to be picked up, Hertz was nowhere to be seen. I called the local facility again to see if they had sent a driver out, only to be told that they do not have a vehicle available for me, and that I’d have to wait several hours for one. Thank you Hertz employee but I have to be at work in a couple hours so that’s just not going to work. Did I mention that I’ve also been on hold with them for a collective 40 minutes?I wish I was joking. You cannot run a business on this amount of incompetence.Do yourself a huge favor and go to Enterprise instead.

This place is disorganized and does not utilize their online reservation system, even though Hertz seems to really push it. I had an attempted theft on my car which left it undriveable. I had State Farm set me up with this specific Hertz location. I received an email from Hertz with steps to make my reservation --with 24 HOURS ADVANCE! Okay...weird but not a huge deal. I make the reservation, which was for 2:30 today. My partner drives me there, I get there at 2:25. Feeling good.They don't have it.They explain I'm supposed to call.Really?Where does it say that?!?!Horrible.The lady tells me another Hertz location has cars and instructs me the number to call.I do.They pass me around. Literally from "insurance desk" to "insurance desk."Like they're playing hot potato.I called State Farm and switched to Enterprise. SO MUCH BETTER. Use Enterprise, seriously.

Mike W: I just personally lived the Seinfeld rental car episode. I register for a car nearly two weeks prior to picking the car up. I drive to Hertz agency in Clayton, and arrive within the two-hour window of them 'holding' the car to fulfill my reservation. They tell me they have no cars to rent. So as the episode goes; anyone can take a reservation. That is the easy part. It's the HOLDING of the reservation that is really the most important part of the reservation...the HOLDING of the reservation. I left with no rental car. I'd give them NO stars if I could.
Scott Brink (The buyer): Poor management.....if the vehicle you rented it having an issue, its your problem not theirs. I had to take it to a Ford dealer to get it fixed under warranty. Next issue is zero communications. The manager called my employer asking when my car would be finished, not me.

They did not care a single bit. The agent was RUDE and absolutely not willing to help us! NEVER use them!!! They said their website says they have a 1 hour rule… we did not book through the website and received no email about this rule. Also, we called 3 times about this and spoke to that location directly and they did not mention this rule at all, nor does the app, which is what we used, say anything about this rule. I’m completely disgusted. Every other place I have spoken to has a 12 hour rule…. The LEAST they could do would be make a phone call when that hour is approaching. I was supposed to call her when I found out about the delay… I’m sorry have you traveled with a 2 year old with delays? Not exactly thinking about calling the rental company. I’ve never experienced such horrible service in my life. They deserve no stars.

PATRICIA Dees: There is always drama here. 30 minutes late due to construction on highway 55 and was charged for an hour. Won't be back as this isn't my first run in but figured since it was new management my experience would be different....NOT
Jonathan Naylor: I reserved a Tesla 3, a week in advance, and 20 minutes before my reservation time they called to tell me the Tesla is not available but I could get a Chevy Spark as a replacement….like that is comparable. Girl on the phone was so unprofessional and rude when we were asking what else they had or if another location could assist. Legitimately acted as they couldn’t care less that they just ruined my girlfriends birthday weekend. Kept telling me to check the website like that was an accurate representation of the inventory when clearly that is not the case. How this company stays in business with incompetent, lazy people working for them like this is beyond me but I will never give them another dime of my money. Ruined the whole weekend Hertz.
Tamico Nealy: I usually don’t write reviews but I couldn’t let this slide. I will never do business with this place again. They rent out damaged cars and make you pay for the repairs. We took pictures right along with the agent and did a video. We pointed out everything that was we noticed because she was being slick from the start. Every photo had the date and time taken. We still was charged for all the damages that was already there. Never rent from them . BAD BUSINESS !! They used us to repair a vehicle that was previously damaged.

C Dellinger: This place is a joke. Tried to hit me with a $300 charge for "ashes and dog hair." Requested a manager since there was no animals or smoking in the vehicle. Placed on hold for 18 minutes only to have her come back and say the manager wasn't available then hang up on me. For starters the car had a maintenance light on when I picked it up, it was filthy and I paid to have it cleaned before and after I left. Secondly after telling me that I was welcome to come examine the car, it was already moved when we got there and all that the little girl had was pictures of dirt on the floor. I had corporate on the phone at the time and neither woman would speak to nor identify themselves to the corporate office. The charges were ultimately removed by corporate and the woman said "this is why we don't do business with people like you." Totally unacceptable behavior but those two woman are like peas in a pod. Both very snotty and very much self involved. Reporting both of them as soon as I can find out their names!
Natalie Fisher: The seats were clean upon pick up, but the center counsel, main cup holders, door cupholder, floors were not. We told the lady working and she offered to clean but said there wasn't another SUV to swap. Also the fuel gauge was less than half way full! If it weren't for being on a time crunch we would have just returned it there between the lack of readiness, but since it was only a third tank filled with gas we figured we were running behind as it was and would just clean it when we filled up. VERY disappointed for having to clean and refuel the vehicle I paid to have ready for a 1030 pick up yet even an hour lady was in no shape to be rented out to customers.

I was told I would have to pay full price for a SUV since no smaller vehicles were available. No other location has never not honored a reservation. The staff was then rude and dismissive. I would not recommend this location to anyone.

I got there and the billing was wrong so they changed the billing and the original vehicle they were going to give me. That vehicle was not ready at all. They vacuumed it out and sent me on my way. That vehicle had filthy windows and not a drop of washer fluid. I scrubbed the outside and cleaned the inside on the driver's side. Then headed to work. The vehicle overheated and when my husband checked, there was no coolant in the reservoir. They agreed to change out the vehicle for a different one. It was much better, but I still had to clean the windshield inside and out. .i dropped it off and was charged $10 per gallon for gas! No consideration for my inconvenience. They don't do walk arounds with you. They just give you the keys and tell you where it might be located. Horrible!!

Brittany Clapper: This will be my last time renting with Hertz. They doubled my daily and hourly rate from my original Rental Record. I was expecting to pay around $176.24 for my day and a half rental but I was charged $352.08 for a standard vehicle. I’ve spoken to customer service of both Hertz and my credit card company. Apparently because the original contract lists these as ‘estimated charges’ they can change them at any time. Cute. I wish I would have done more research and learned about Hertz bankruptcies and predatory practices prior to renting from them.

Was told I’d get the smallest car on the lot because that was what I rented. When I arrived one hour late on the day of my rental I was told their last car just drove off the lot because I was late. No courtesy call prior to them renting my reserved car. Was told by branch manager no cars were available in STL region and he’s never seen anything like it. Went out the door and made a reservation with Enterprise and picked up a car 1/2 hour later. Manager lied to my face. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION. They cannot be trusted even if you have a confirmed and PAID reservation 🤬🤬

Michelle James: The SUV I rented was HORRIBLE !!!We drove to Florida this vehicle road soooo rough and jerked the whole time. I called the 1800 number but they had me on hold. When I returned the SUV that Monday I called explain the situation to a young man he never asked my name. He was nonchalant about my rental experience. I have booked from Hertz before. I might have to rethink this establishment in my future rentals.
Teona Watkins: My insurance company made me a reservation and specifically told me to speak with ELI. From the moment I spoke with him, he seemed to not be having a good day. However I should not receive bad customer service because of this. I already had to wait at least ten minutes before being helped and there was no one else being helped either. I specifically asked ELI if there were cars available he told me I had to wait and then proceeded to take down all my information and swiped my card for a deposit. Then after told me my reservation was only for a standard instead of a mid size SUV (which is what I drive everyday prior to my car being rear ended) I asked if I can upgrade as the insurance agent advised that he already updated the reservation. Eli informed me that it was OK and I didn't need to provide anything else. Literally a minute or so later he then proceeds to tell me with attitude that I needed to contact the insurance agent or I could just cancel. My husband then advised to cancel as well as he noticed ELI's attitude as well. Eli then SLAMMED my license and credit card on the counter in front of my 4 year old and told me I had an attitude. Worst place EVER!!! No one should ever rent from them or deal with ELI. Let me also mention that his co-worker was there assisting someone else as well and customer did not look happy. I would not refer this place to anyone!!!!

Patrick Madden: I rented a vehicle a week prior to my trip, arrived at this location and was given the car I reserved in a timely manner, and was billed what I was quoted to be charged. Pretty straightforward, no-hassle rental experience. The vehicle I received was slightly older (4 years) and high mileage (70,000+) but was exceptionally maintained both inside and out and drove wonderfully.

The gentleman that runs this particular Hertz was very kind and understanding, explained everything to me, helped me upgrade my car, and personally gave me a ride back to the Airport when I left St. Louis.This was a positive turn around to a long day of messed up travel plans. I really think it is worth the time to go this location and save the hassle of the airport crazy show. I do not usually leave reviews, but this person went above and beyond with service. Keep this in mind when traveling to St. Louis.

Omri Ben-Zvi Goldblum: The lady at the front desk was super nice, but it took more than 30 minutes with here because the computer crashed multiple times. In addition to that, the car was not clean from the inside and there was no window wiper cleaner liquid in the car.

Dave Lalonde: Can not give this location a low enough score. The three things I expect when renting a car are that it’s clean, it’s been serviced, and it has a full tank when I pick it up. The car had 1/4 tank. It still had a jacket in the back from the last renter and smelled like someone was smoking in it the night before. It’s obvious nobody even thought about cleaning this. On top of that, the service engine and oil change overdue messages where on. I would send someone to look into this location Avis. It’s bad.
Kara Moore: BUNCH OF SCAMMERS!In the midst of renting from this location, the low tire and change oil soon indicator lights came on, so I called the location and they told me to take the vehicle to Dobbs. Dobbs patched the tire and completed the oil change. About a month later, Avis sent me a notice stating I was at fault for the "damage," and they automatically debited my bank account in the amount of $160.BUYER BEWARE.
Mohamed Adan: I fill up for fueling a full tank. And she charged me over $24 with no reason. Be careful before you leave. Read your papers and fixed with her curreption.
LaVonda Johnson-Rush: Avis rental car receives a no star rating from me signed a very dissatisfied customer that was once loyal!!!! This was the worst experience ever from the beginning the end very poor customer service. I won't ever rent from Avis again nor will I recommend them to anyone. They really didn't deserve this one star rating they made me choose otherwise it would have been a no star..went to check in no car available at all finally get a car that was not cleaned nor sanitized went return the car a man out of uniform sitting in the lobby claiming to be an employee wanted me to give him the keys stated his sister who was supposed to be on duty went to drop off a vehicle at another location very unprofessional and unorganized. You all went down Avis!!!!!
Nick Paventi: Absolutely abysmal customer service. I had a reservation for ~$400 for a 4 day one way rental, but the agent at this location (Haris) changed or entered different information which caused my rental charges to balloon to over $1200 for my rental....and this was after I returned the car a day early too. On top of that Avis customer service was atrocious when trying to explain this to, because its all outsourced overseas, it took multiple phone calls and emails to even get someone could process the h#ll I had to endure all because Haris wanted to overcharge an Avis Preferred member because I needed a one-way rental.Do yourself a favor and avoid this location and Haris at all costs.

Shannon O Marshall: I tried to rent a car from here 10 different times to Uber every time they canceled. Horrible service, horrible rental, no calls. Drove up there. Rode the bus. Many different times was turned away. Had to go back without a car. What do you do with a rental car that doesn't rental car to you? You leave them behind
