Fair Saint Louis Foundation: what do users think?
P Merr: Horrible. I am so glad they got them out Forest Park and moved them back to the original site downtown. The events were mediocre, folks were jammed pack, too much going on for such a small space, regular park goers were inconvenienced tremendously, couldn't park cars on-site had to park outside of park and walk into park...inconvenient for handicapped and seniors. I was happy when they got the renos done downtown and the committee moved the fair out.
Nathan Wallace: I have been a St.Louis resident my whole life 40 plus years. I have been coming to this fair as long as I can remember. This year was the worst fair I have ever attended. Not sure if the city didn't have the budget or they need to hire a new director. Saturday's 5pm air show consisted of 4 planes total of which only 1 actually performed stunts. The vendors where insurance and phone companies. Food options was weak at best. The concerts well not really even sure I would call it that. Local talent would have been better. The 15 min fireworks display was great just short. Honestly, unless there are improvements not sure I will be supporting this again.
Kevin Gordon: Probably the best parade/air show/festival I’ve been to. It’s a free gift to the city, with great music, and you can’t beat the location. Looking forward to heading down there with my family again this year!
B C: Fair St. Louis is nothing compared to what it used to be. For 2018, it was brought back to the newly remodeled and redesigned Arch grounds and they didn't just miss the mark with returning this classic fair, they plain out didn't even try. Once arriving, it was the biggest let down. Midway that used to line the street along the floodwall stairs are gone. In that location there used to be tons of rides, so many more vendors and booths, now it's nothing, the entrance itself wasn't until you're almost at the Arch. Up top, was the same, very little to do and small selection of vendors and booths. Stage for the concerts is small, atvkeast the acts they gired were ok, but thats it. THE WORST PART OF ALL.... Bathrooms only at the entrances, NONE ON THE FAIRGROUNDS themselves. The second you think you might have to go, you better start walking. Air show lineup, well let's just say you might as well go to airport and watch the planes take off and land and it would be better. Fireworks are nothing compared to their former glory. The fireworks at Fair St. Louis used to go for 30 minutes and have a hell of a finale, now it goes 10-12 minutes with the most pathetic grand finale ever that lasted at best 20 seconds. It is official that Chesterfield MO fireworks can now be classified as the biggest and best show around. Food and drink prices were ok, but selection was slim, thank God it wasn't busier though because some stands already had items marked off the boards. The coordinators of Fair St. Louis should be beyond ashamed of themselves and need to research how to throw a good festival.
Joshua Adams-parker: Clean. Great place for pictures. Also great for families and kids.
Istiyaque Ahammad Bhuiyan: great
matt thomas: I would do no stars if possiable, this was the sadsest attempt to put on a fireworks show I have ever seen. Will not be back. Embarrassing for St Louis.Just sad.
Ben Roux: Very unprofessional staff at Fair STL. Traveled more than an hour to Forest Park to take photos during the firework display. Was told that I couldn't bring a tripod in for "security reasons" which basically ruined all my photos right there. No accomodations were made what-so-ever and I ended up having to spend money putting the tripod in a locker. I would understand thinking twice about bringing items like skateboards, knifes, etc. but why would I have thought about the possibility of tripods being banned in Forest Park? Very dissapointed! They should not be allowed to make up random rules like this with the only warning being put in the corner of their website. My family will not be donating to them this year or in any upcoming years unless this changes and they become more accomodating toward their guests, and we urge other families to act in the same way that we are. Will be speaking to whomever gave them the permits for land use in hopes that we can get some clarification on a few questions we have. If you are a representative of this event please contact me/us because we want to resolve the issue.
Jessica Tanovic: What a joke!!! No one wants to deal with the traffic and no parking. So we decided to try and watch the fireworks from outside the park. No way that could have happened. I remember when you could park really far from the V.P.Fair and see the fireworks . We sat by the highway and seen nothing because the fireworks didn't even go high enough to see them. I guess it's my own fault for not wanting to drag and infant and 8 year old through the crowd , but the fireworks were nothing like the use to be when they were downtown.
James Lee: It is my birthday
David C: Fair St. Louis... what a joke. Can't even park anywhere in Forest Park to go to Zoo, Art Museum anything without $20 fee... and this on a rainy day. Forest Park was rated one of the top parks in country recently... wow way to celebrate that by hosting Fair St. Louis which does nothing but ruin the experience for everyone.
oldno24: Great time. Between the run, parade, air shows, concerts, and fireworks, it's always been a great celebration of America!
Windell Moreland: From Mr Windell Moreland Thank you,Down Town ST,Louis Missouri for a blast last year fire works show at forest park, I pray that it be a none violence gathering at this years fire works show at Forest park May the Lord Jesus Christ be there also, remember a state that prays together stay's together Yours Truly Windell Alan Moreland....
Dylan Pert-Smith: Stupid food policy where food and water is not permitted inside. Luckily, I was able to sneak in some.If I hadnt, I would have been forced to pay over-the-top prices for suboptimal food, like many of the people whose food had been thrown out. There really isn't much to do other than the music. The 2016 music lineup looks awful. If you aren't a fan of country music or redneck culture, you will likely be out of place at this event. I think it's probably a good call to avoid 2016 Fair St. Louis.
Andre Leggett: Cool
Theresa FelDotto: The security made me throw away my menacing Cardinal backpack but let my son in law walk right in with his conceal and carry gun. Awesome security, I felt so safe!Otherwise the show was good.
Donna Kirk: Fair STL, thank you for a fabulous celebration!! You all did an outstanding job of organizing and staffing. PLEASE keep it at Forest Park; it seemed so convenient for all! The musical roster was great, The Flying Wallendas were fun to watch. The water show - meehhh, so-so. The parade was fun for my grandkids and my son-in-law loved the fair food. Fun for ALL!! Thanks again.

Festival of the Little Hills: what do users think?
Steven Williams: I know people look forward to this... but I'm not sure why they have different labels. The Festival of the little hills is basically the same as the Irish fest, October fest, Scottish fest, etc. It's the same booths, same vendors, and almost the same music. Just a different name. My opinion of course.
Sue Young: Always a great time
Hayley Kennedy: All of the vendors were really nice. While it was definitely crowded, my boyfriend and I really enjoyed everything the festival had to offer.
Mike Koenig: No idea what the hype is all about. We spent not two hours on Sunday. Vendors selling stuff you don't need, food vendors with some that were sold out of most of their menu but didn't let you know until you got up to order, and music that is just meh. But good people-watching I guess.Thankfully we didn't fall for the $20 for parking scam and found free on-street parking. We won't be back unless they can tweak the music lineup.
Laura Kenney: I had so much fun sooooo much stuff and lots of Christian themed things too
Paul Roberts: Find another way down here other than a shuttle. Waited 45 minutes to come down and already waited 44 and no return bus in sight.
Whiteaker W: Everyone needs to come here. It’s huge and amazing and family friendly - all ages really. Even the elderly can party! Let’s go people!!! Live music- great food and millions of tenants for shopping!!!
Giselle Ehret: I really missed going last year (because of Covid-19), so I was glad to see the Festival back and everyone having a good time. I'm not sure which I enjoy more: shopping the vendor booths and ducking into a shop from time to time, or trying a new food each year. The fresh lemonade was my favorite this time. It's the best thing about the end of summer in St. Charles (maybe the best thing all year!) It certainly creates a lot of memories over one's lifetime.
Sue Wilbert: Lots of fun. Lots of amazing artisans, great music, and good food. Three days of fun on the mighty Missouri River!
Heather Schoene: Was great to have it and not have the worry of others being up your rear about masks. Only down fall was the prices of beer this year. I loved how they had the Lewis and Clark exhibit out to see that was really cool. It was just nice to have some sort of normalcy back. Some vendors were a little over priced for what they had that's for sure.
Steve Story: Went to the Festival of the Little Hills in St. Charles, Missouri, had a great time, I seemed like this year there was more, Booths, food, and music. There was plenty to see and do. Had a Great time. if I had to say would I change anything, it would be to add more chairs and tables in the music areas, from the amphitheater, down pass Lewis and Clark circle. I'm 66 and a veteran with feet and leg problems, can walk but need to rest occasionally and could not find a lot of place to sit. other than that Great Job putting it together.
Larkin Havard: This place was amazing highly highly recommend.
Christopher Hall: Come check it out!
Marsha Gajewski: Need more food vendors
Jessica Enloe: Fun place to go with family and friends
Sherry Strutman: A favorite every year. We enjoy the walk. It would be nice to see some new crafts, Id say 95% return every year. but still, very enjoyable.
Rusty Gunther: This is a must do for our family. The kids love the craft booths and we love the festival experience.
carly atherton: Absolutely huge, takes ages to see everything. Was a bit hot but wasn't humid
Ryan Schmid: Love it every year
Barb Berger: Look forward to this yearly festival. Great combination of food, music and booths filled with crafts and products for sale.
Becky Braddock: Fun, hot, lot of walking but it was great that they had the "golf" carts everywhere so it was easy to find a ride to your car.
