It’s like a family, good staff and doctors who take time to listen regarding my body, eyes, teeth and mental capacity. They also give recommendations for X-rays, mammograms and other services outside the facility. The Lone Ranger: I have been associated with CHIPS for 8 years and have always had great experiences. The providers and staff bend over backwards to provide care to the under and uninsured. The one-time annual fee is $35, but after that all of your services done in-house are covered. Additionally they will help find financial aid for services done outside the facility. They also have social services.
Bri’s Naturals: HORRIBLE Clinic! Do not go to these unprofessional people. They make you pay an annual $35 membership fee that is SUPPOSED to be all this “free clinic” requires but they still charge you for everything you need done. I went in to talk about woman’s wellness, my next visit I was bombarded to get a procedure that I did not need or ask for. The doctor didn’t even give me results, he just said “If there is something wrong, I will call you” and I never got a call.How unethical is that? The customer service is horrible and they have 0 compassion for patients. NOTHING is free about this clinic, stick with an established office.

Jennie: When I walked in, they're was barely anyone waiting so that was fine. As I make my way to the back, I had a 45 mins wait. It wasn't until I got in the backroom where the wait took over two hours. I was getting very frustrated because I had a scheduled appointment and the staff/doctors was all talking among each other while I'm hearing other people in an out. I always hated this places because it never changed. The staff and doctors are still disrespectful of people's time. There is no point in scheduling appointments when it's gone to be over a hour after your appointment before you are seen. Good thing that I'm a adult now because I want be back.

Dee Saunders: It's unfortunate that you have to go through so much to get an appointment here. When you ask a question you get a different answer depending on who you're talking to. Trying to make an appointment is a hassle. Being early for your appointment won't matter because you'll always wait an hour or more to be seen any way. Some employees are kind and courteous. Others consistently have a bad personality and it shows in their dealings with the patients. Maybe one day being seen at this facility for our health will make us feel like we are valued instead of just 'in the way'.

Tina Dickerson: I lost my private health insurance in 2009, and was directed to this facility, NCCHC. My doctor Robert Baird has been so great over the last 8+ years, I have never had better care. The clinic has provided me with the ability to get the health services I need. Sure it may be a little crowded sometimes, but the people who work there are always friendly and courteous. Take the reviews with a grain of salt, in most cases health coverage here is low cost or even free. These folks here could be anywhere else in the world. 2 times the staff at this office have saved my life, 1st in 2014 when they found a heart defect that I lived with my whole life, and then again in 2017 when they found a brain tumor. Be kind and kindness will come back to you... Be thankful that the staff is here for you. I am, and remember, you are not the only patient they have. God Bless and may you find the blessings the staff has to offer as well.

Curt Balding: The Google Map directions does not give you enough information about exactly where this Resource Center's entrance is and they also fail to tell you the actual clinic is on the 2nd floor. The staff I interacted with were very thorough and even perhaps a little too enthusiastic in attending to my situation. The place could benefit from having a maintenance staff member to fix and/or address the interior issues that present a not-quite - professional looking environment for a place designated as a health care facility.
Christopher Buenrostro: The service and care they provided is great. You’ll be there for more than an hour, but please understand that they have interns. They are really attentive and I’m really impressed by it.

About only 3 other people were there for a shot. It’s pretty ignorant to say you offer services you don’t.

I've been using free clinics my entire childhood and adult life and usually have found staff to be inattentive at best and hostile at worst. The staff here are always patient and friendly and don't try to pressure you into anything. I needed my Hep A vaccination because I work in the restaurant industry. While I was waiting to be seen, a different patient was called up for an eye exam, a service I didn't know they offered here, and the registration staff let me sign up for that service today too!! The only issue I noticed was that the doctor doesn't arrive until 10 am or so and the clinic opens at 8 (line starts forming at 7) but if you know anything about free clinics, you expect to be waiting 2 hours minimum.

I think that they may be able to find interpreters for other non-English speakers, also. I would call and ask any questions & they probably can refer clients to necessary services. All of their services are free and the ladies there are so kind, accommodating, and understanding. They focus on the WHOLE being of the woman and make finding resources a seamless process. My fiance has a doctor he has gone to for at least 6 yrs. first thing she does every time is ask for his first name and last name and looks at you like its the first time seeing him. The pharmacy sends over a request for refill and the doctor does not respond first time. I had to call make sure she did it. As far as appoints i have scheduled online for myself and somehow its not there. My 8yr old had an appointment there we showed up and said its not in the computer. You have to go on a day we have open enrollment and be seen that way. We never went. We went to Forest Park Pediatrics instead. Nothing but problems. Only reason we go there is because fiance is on Gateway Insurance. Cant go anywhere else.

Apparently, the one assigned to me was on vacation, and the one assigned to my appointment in lieu of the original doctor was apparently "gone for the day". It was a 3:30pm appointment. I called in at 10:30am to confirm the appointment and see what I should expect. All they could tell me was that I had an appointment. It was just a check up for a past issue, but still. I could've stayed at home and saved my gas, time, and energy. Get it together, Affinia. Communication between departments shouldn't be so loose.

Britt Zuniga: I had a horrible experience at the Lemp location. The appointment was 30 minutes behind schedule, staff was on personal calls and offered no help at all. Dr. Mechelle Elosiebo was awful. I went in to discuss my sleep problems and she was obsessed with my weight, told me how much weight i had gained since my last visit (i didnt ask) and despite telling her i wasn’t worried about my weight gain because I always gain weight when i cant sleep and i just needed help sleeping then id be back on track with my health and fitness, she made me tell her all the work outs I do and she clearly did not believe me and said “if you worked out this much you wouldnt be this weight”. She nearly denied my request for medication despite the recommendation from my therapist who has a phd in neuroscience and my own confidence in what i needed to be well.In my patient report she listed obesity as my reason for visiting (it wasnt) and suggested a diet i cant even follow because of my food allergies without discussing it with me. I cried during my appointment which she ignored and then she begrudgingly gave me the medication i requested. I will never go back to this location or this doctor and i really hope she learns how to listen to patients and treat them with respect and most importantly gets educated on updated medical information instead of using the outdated, disproven metric of the BMI to shame people about their weight. Truly the worst doctor experience I have ever had.

Even though The CDC changed the guidelines and I was wearing a mask and I am fully vaccinated. When I asked why the excuse was covid. Their automated voicemail said they were closed for the holiday... it is JANUARY 2ND! THE HOLIDAYS ARE OVER!!! THIS WHOLE "HOLIDAY OBSERVED" THING IS JUST AN IDEA THAT GOOGLE HAS DRILLED INTO OUR BRAINS FOR US TO BE LAZIER AND TAKE MORE TIME OFF. So I called a diff Department trying to get my results and that god awful lady was rude as hell and all she said was “did you leave a message they're busy with patients” like yes lady i left a vm! If you can’t provide results in the time frame YOU GAVE ME you should set different expectations definitely will no longer go here! Too much of a hassle! Having to hound you for results i was told would be ready! Absolutely pitiful

Byron Claude: THIS MAY BE MY MOST PROFOUND GOOGLE REVIEW. Many years I have worked in Customer Service as a General Manager. I used to tell my subordinate managers: "A good manager can run a great shift... but a great manager is one who pulls it together when things are not good." Amidst circumstances out of this pharmacy's control, Erica, Deja, and the rest went FAR ABOVE and BEYOND what most pharmacies would do, to see a systematic problem corrected, and the patient supplied correctly and timely. Some of the low-scoring reviews I see here for them are silly up against the proven VALUE of this pharmacy in a dire moment (and this doesn't even take into account their CHEAP co-pay). Bretton DeLaria: I have been with Dr. William Summers since 2009 and followed him when he left Southampton and opened his own practice and then followed him to Vivent Health when he became the medical director. I have had nothing but positive experiences since moving my health services here. Dr. Summers continues to push the medical staff to adopt his philosophy of patient center care. When I arrive the staff knows me by name, takes an interest in my life, and is extremely kind and timely. When I’ve been seen by Dr. Summers, Sarah, or any of the NPs they are of the utmost professionalism and take time when seeing you. I’ve been to many doctors whom I am just a patient. At Vivent, the staff listen, take time to develop relationships, and are present during your time with them. A huge benefit of Vivent is the one stop shop philosophy. I love that I can get medical treatment, pharmacy (again pharmacist knows me and has a relationship), dentist, and case management all in one place. The coordination of services under one roof makes communication effective and ensures a comprehensive plan for all aspects of life. Vivent is growing to add legal help, therapy, and psychiatry in the near future furthering their mission of person center central integrated healthcare. I HIGHLY recommend them for your health needs. They are a major ally of the LGBT community and effective in combating the STI and HIV crisis in St. Louis. Finally, Vivent truly is a community partner. Their food pantry, Paws Program, and philanthropic wing works tirelessly nonstop to ensure community needs are met. If you want excellent personal healthcare that is committed and vibrant to modern day issues...you won’t find a better provider than Vivent.
Patrick Goodson: I was referred to EFA (from Project ARK) as I was a low maintenance patient who did not use case management services very much. I asked for resource help two times in a two year period and the case worker told me that I could not longer use their services as I was too high maintenance. My Project ARK case worker noticed my name in the queue after EFA dropped me and she re-assigned me back to her and said she could not understand EFA's actions.

I was so glad to find EFA BC where I lived previously in FL there were Many more resources ! EFA does a great job. I really like their new offices and I hope the employees like it as well..you all deserve it!!

Dominique McNeely: I would ONLY suggest going here if you don’t have insurance and if you’re having symptoms, I wouldn’t recommend STL EFA at all. It was me and two other people that signed in as a walk in, but only one person waiting in front of me in the lobby where I sat for 1.5 hours before I was seen. Fast forward the only rapid test they provide is hiv. The phlebotomist informed me it would take 10-14 business days (half a month) to receive my any other blood work results. That’s unheard of....at least to me. The only reason I gave two stars was because their new office is beautiful.
sara kay woodgeard: Sent to another location. I was told they don't do services for symptoms. They did not give a reason why? I was told by Saint Louis Effort that Planned Parenthood would service me free of charge, if I said I was referred from Saint Louis Effort. When I asked if Planned Parenthood did walk-ins, I did not get a answer. Disappointed in the staff and service of this location.

Kay Moss: Good, it took a little longer than expected this time.
NorthsideRasta Rogers: It's ok though some of the registration personnel aren't the most professional workers.
Jackie Shelby: Facility was older, but very clean and organized. All staff was friendly and professional.We were referred to lab. Lab not open. Took 30 minutes for staff to tell us that lab not open that day.
Emma Harris: I have the best doctor ever. They clinic took good care of me when I did.nt have insurance and now that I am covered, I continue to use their services.
Stan Da maN: Called to book an appointment, lady called back and was unable to after to put me in the computer, sounded like she was new or in training, she said we call me back but it's been over a week, and I did call once to see if she was ready. Still no return call. I'm good....
RICH NISE: They got my 2 year old in for a check up even though we did not have an appointment. Not only did they see us quickly, but, "THE DOCTORS, NURSES AND ALL THE STAFF SHOWED CARE, CONCERN AND GENUINE INTEREST!"
