Jennie: When I walked in, they're was barely anyone waiting so that was fine. As I make my way to the back, I had a 45 mins wait. It wasn't until I got in the backroom where the wait took over two hours. I was getting very frustrated because I had a scheduled appointment and the staff/doctors was all talking among each other while I'm hearing other people in an out. I always hated this places because it never changed. The staff and doctors are still disrespectful of people's time. There is no point in scheduling appointments when it's gone to be over a hour after your appointment before you are seen. Good thing that I'm a adult now because I want be back.

And let me just say some of the staff was helpful and friendly but the front desk staff was rude, and talking bad about the patients. Completely unprofessional. Need a new staff because they are horrible.
Dee Saunders: It's unfortunate that you have to go through so much to get an appointment here. When you ask a question you get a different answer depending on who you're talking to. Trying to make an appointment is a hassle. Being early for your appointment won't matter because you'll always wait an hour or more to be seen any way. Some employees are kind and courteous. Others consistently have a bad personality and it shows in their dealings with the patients. Maybe one day being seen at this facility for our health will make us feel like we are valued instead of just 'in the way'.

Tina Dickerson: I lost my private health insurance in 2009, and was directed to this facility, NCCHC. My doctor Robert Baird has been so great over the last 8+ years, I have never had better care. The clinic has provided me with the ability to get the health services I need. Sure it may be a little crowded sometimes, but the people who work there are always friendly and courteous. Take the reviews with a grain of salt, in most cases health coverage here is low cost or even free. These folks here could be anywhere else in the world. 2 times the staff at this office have saved my life, 1st in 2014 when they found a heart defect that I lived with my whole life, and then again in 2017 when they found a brain tumor. Be kind and kindness will come back to you... Be thankful that the staff is here for you. I am, and remember, you are not the only patient they have. God Bless and may you find the blessings the staff has to offer as well.

The Lone Ranger: I have been associated with CHIPS for 8 years and have always had great experiences. The providers and staff bend over backwards to provide care to the under and uninsured. The one-time annual fee is $35, but after that all of your services done in-house are covered. Additionally they will help find financial aid for services done outside the facility. They also have social services.
Bri’s Naturals: HORRIBLE Clinic! Do not go to these unprofessional people. They make you pay an annual $35 membership fee that is SUPPOSED to be all this “free clinic” requires but they still charge you for everything you need done. I went in to talk about woman’s wellness, my next visit I was bombarded to get a procedure that I did not need or ask for. The doctor didn’t even give me results, he just said “If there is something wrong, I will call you” and I never got a call.How unethical is that? The customer service is horrible and they have 0 compassion for patients. NOTHING is free about this clinic, stick with an established office.

I think that they may be able to find interpreters for other non-English speakers, also. I would call and ask any questions & they probably can refer clients to necessary services. Annah LaJoy: I received care at the health dept today and I couldn’t have been more thankful. Everyone was really nice and easy going. I felt so well cared for which is always a relief. (We’ve all had horrible experiences I’m sure that stand out, but today stood out in the best of ways) The phlebotomist was so good I would have trusted her to draw my blood blind folded lol The nurses were great too. And I can’t speak highly enough about the NP that saw me. She went above and beyond taking care of me and I’m truly so grateful. She was so easy to talk to and be honest with and I never once felt like she looked down on me. I appreciated all her knowledge and advice and wish I could have her as my PCP! All in all I was really impressed and so grateful for the amazing care I received.

Chris Cain: Terrible admin staff and staff retention is horrible. I would not have my loved one cares for my this agency. They need to seriously be investigated by DHSS. If I could give a negative score.
Abby N: I would give a negative star if I could. This company does not care abut there staff or clients. They are terrible at communicating, even during emergencies. The hiring team was the only good part about this company. The clients aren’t bad but the management team doesn’t know what there doing. Do not work here, it’s not worth it.

DONNA Killmade: This place does independent living for developmentally disabled young people. They have staff that take the clients with them on their errands when they are supossed to be working. Staff regularly sleeps on the job. They do not stick to the care plan and just do whatever is the easiest. The house manager Tony Osborn was so stoned at my home that he was nodding off and shaking. Im not sure if they did the requested drug test but i was told that he was removed as the house manger but he is currently still listed as a house manager. Then after multiple times of being told that my son would not be discharged and being told this by multiple staff multiple times, the owner, Linda Taylor discharged him with only 4 days notification, and we had to find another home for him in that short time. I believe it was because I made coming about them not sticking to the care plan ie, giving him internet access unsupervised, drippi g him off alone at the park, letting him go to neighbors unsupervised , when the care plan says he is to be supervised in arms reach at all times. They put my child and the community in harm's way with neglect.
Ash L: I would give no stars or negative if it were an option. Not at all do they care about the clients or the well being of any person who may come into contact with clients. Do not follow care plans. Sleep on the job. The client i knew kept running away and was left alone at the park where he attacked some kids when he was supposed to be in arms reach of the client. The owner threw out the client with nowhere to go. They are in the wrong line of work. They only care about money not at all do they care about your loved one.

Curt Balding: The Google Map directions does not give you enough information about exactly where this Resource Center's entrance is and they also fail to tell you the actual clinic is on the 2nd floor. The staff I interacted with were very thorough and even perhaps a little too enthusiastic in attending to my situation. The place could benefit from having a maintenance staff member to fix and/or address the interior issues that present a not-quite - professional looking environment for a place designated as a health care facility.
Christopher Buenrostro: The service and care they provided is great. You’ll be there for more than an hour, but please understand that they have interns. They are really attentive and I’m really impressed by it.

I've been using free clinics my entire childhood and adult life and usually have found staff to be inattentive at best and hostile at worst. The staff here are always patient and friendly and don't try to pressure you into anything. I needed my Hep A vaccination because I work in the restaurant industry. While I was waiting to be seen, a different patient was called up for an eye exam, a service I didn't know they offered here, and the registration staff let me sign up for that service today too!! The only issue I noticed was that the doctor doesn't arrive until 10 am or so and the clinic opens at 8 (line starts forming at 7) but if you know anything about free clinics, you expect to be waiting 2 hours minimum.

The nurses and doctors have always respected my privacy. The parking is free, and adequate, which I like. Sometimes they can be a bit slow, but they make up for it in efficiency. Most importantly, cost for services is EXCELLENT!!! I use them for services that are crazy expensive at my doctor’s office. I will always use East Side Health for my needs. 🌸

Lauren Cleveland: I went in for an appointment, and after telling the nurse and PA that I didn’t want a certain test to be done because I would wait until I see a specialist, they sent it without my consent and I had hundreds in lab fees sent to me. I tried calling the billing department numerous times, left messages, and so far have not received a single call back.
T. Fritz Levenhagen: WONDERFUL! THANK YOU!! I attended physical therapy here in the Summer of 2020 following ankle surgery. Pam Abbott was my PT. Pam helped me regain my range of motion, strength and balance. She was very attentive to my personal needs and emailed me detailed instructions on my home exercise program which helped immensely. I am very grateful for the help and guidance she provided. My experience was wonderful! I highly recommend them! Thank you so much!!

She’s thorough and so sweet. I recommend asking for her when you make an appointment, especially if you have any issues with anxiety/depression.The nurses though, they could work on being a little more caring. I’ve never seen any of them smile and they are always in a bad mood.
Benjamin Lewis: Over my four years as a student, I have never once had an experience here that was less than infuriating. If it's not the front desk staff that, when faced with a question they don't know an answer to, make up an answer, then it's the NPs that can't even properly take someone's blood pressure, much less offer any sort of care I'd trust or has helped me. Of course, none of this will likely be a problem for you, since you probably won't get a timely appointment; they are only open M-F (because students don't get sick on weekends, right?), and are often so booked you won't get an appointment for 3-4 days. Even if you get an appointment, don't expect to be treated with any sense of decency, discretion, or professionalism; more than once, I've had the NP try to correct me when I describe my own symptoms (not clarify, but actually try to correct). Save yourself the stress and just go to an urgent care if you can afford it. If you have to go here, then be sure to ask for Dr. Delaney; she is the only person here that has ever offered me any sort of professional, helpful care.
