Nell Bellz: Best rice ever , I promise you will love it .. And it's clean
David Settles: One of the best Chinese food restaurants in St Louis you really have to try this .their rice has a distinctive taste I think it's because of the garlic. I also had to be lo mein which was very flavorful and a large portion. Chicken egg rolls are good too. Customer service was good and it was a clean environment which I really like cuz most of them are not.Parking: Nice parking lot

MG VAN BEURDEN: Increase your portion sizes - disappointed by the small portions now being served here as takeaway meals to customers. Photograph taken of your small sweet and sour pork serving as proof. No vegetables, add on for rice etc. I wish I could say I had eaten half of this before posting this review and taking a picture. Nope. That’s the size you get folks. Hopefully someone reads this from your organization and says “you know what we have been cheap with our portions, let’s provide paying customers with good quality at a fair price, with fair portions”.

Josh McCown: Tasty food and you can watch your noodles being made in-house. Service was a little off, as one of my party's entrees arrived just after appetizers and the other about 20 minutes later.
Rishi Joshi: I was meeting a colleague for lunch at this restaurant. I didn't want to deal with parking on busy delmar street, so parked on parking lot behind Starbucks, it was 2 mins walk to the restaurant. We ordered all vegan food- vegan bau / dumplings, carrots fried dumpling, Spicy wood ear mushroom salad , Mala Soup with hand stretched noodles was amazing. Everything was awesome, we were so full that we could drink the bubble tea , but will definitely . The ambiance is very good. The service and staff was very friendly and helpful. I asked for all the dishes to be vegan - the server was very helpful.

Khang Mai: I’ve been here at least 10 times, I have to say the food is pretty average. Chinese food in NYC is vastly superior. For example, a simple dish like stir fried hand pulled noodles tasted amazing in NYC, but here, it has absolute no flavor. There is no wok hei (for all of their dishes as well) and I believe it’s only flavored by oyster sauce. The noodles just taste like boiled/blanched ingredients and sauce stir fried together for a couple seconds. The noodle soup here is pretty bland as well. I wouldn’t bother with the homemade noodles here. The Dandan noodles aren’t so great either. Dandan noodles at China Bistro in the Pan Asian Market is really good in comparison to corner 17s.My favorite items are the mala stir fry (only because it’s pretty spicy), wonton soup, chili oil wonton, and their pan fried dumplings (favorite is original and the beet one). The cold chili noodles are pretty good as well. Other dishes that are tasty time to time are deep fried pork rib, sweet and sour fish, and salt n pepper shrimp. These are all fried dishes so I feel like you cant really go wrong. Some other dishes that I feel let down by are: mapo tofu and black bean pork rib. The flavor of those two dishes are just not there and I don’t like how they use the same pork rib from the noodle soup since it’s way too tender. I can say the same about many other dishes but there’s too many to talk about. The sticky rice Shumai are kind of odd and I wish they would just make normal pork/shrimp Shumai. The bao buns are ok, I just prefer Wei Hongs bao buns more for example. The chili flake oil at the table is pretty good in flavor but not too spicy. Only complaint is that they do not allow you to take it Togo (they only give the oil with out the flakes togo)The bubble tea is ok/decent, but not amazing. I feel like the quality of ingredients is somewhat lacking when considering the price point. (I run a bubble tea shop)All in all, I’ll go back sometimes, but it’s not something I crave a lot because a lot of flavor is missing.
Nicole M: went here for a lunch with a friend and was not disappointed. the staff was friendly and we got our food quickly even though they were busy. the boba was good but i think it’s price a bit high compared to other boba shops around town. would come back again though.Vegetarian options: few vegetarian options, wish they had more.
Amelia Allen: Singapore noodles was my favorite thing from everything we sampled. The dumplings are also phenomenal. AuthenticVegetarian options: Options for all restrictionsDietary restrictions: Gluten free, dairy feee, vegan, vegetarian options

Kim Van Restaurant: what do users think?
Tracy Trist: Definitely love this place, been there a handful of times, food is always excellent & the fried St. Paul sandwiches are crispy & delicious!!! Low menu, chicken yummy!!!
Benjamin McDowell: my favorite Chinese restaurant in the city. love their st. Paul's, fried rice and many of the entries. John O'Daniel: The worst place in the entire city and county... Never ever get what you order period. Food is a let down at the least.Just nothing at all makes me even wanna give one star, itsucks that badly... Do not Recommend they should just close up... Even Rallys is better which is very very hard to say.

Brit Mosley: Had a craving for the Hot Braised Chicken wings so we stopped in. We were less than impressed by the food and customer service. Called in my order ahead of time and did not leave home for 15 minutes to allow time for the food to be ready. When we arrive there was one person ahead of us and we waited for about 10 minutes while the staff member took his sweet time checking the customer out. Then a gentleman came in who walked to the front of the line and the staff member stopped helping everyone else to get him his meal. Probably won’t be back, great customer service is a pet peeve of mine. The hot braised was more like the chicken wings that Schnucks salad bar used to have. That recipe has definitely changed. The fried rice was very dry. Again under impressed.
Veronica White: Was back in town for Christmas and I had a hankering for St Louis style Chinese food. If that’s what you’re looking for, it doesn’t get much better than Kim Van! Amazing St Paul sandwich, fried rice, and crab Rangoon, and very kind service. I’ll be returning next time I’m in town for sure!

Ms. Peaches: 5 stars because their st Paul was delicious and so was their rice plus spring rolls.
Jay Double U (Mo): I ordered plain fried rice and an order of chicken wings. 3 stars bc the wings were small and cooked, however, my rice did not have onions or anything.

Chinese Express: what do users think?
Cody Cummings: Chinese Express is probably my go to suggestion to my friends when they want some take out and they don’t want to drive too far to get it. They’re really fast when you call in an order, and it’s pretty cheap for a lot of food.
Anna Hummel: Quite possibly the least flavorful Chinese food I've ever ordered. Could make it better myself at home.
Nick Simpson: Ordered Mongolian beef and rangoons. Somehow received Lo Mein instead of the rangoons and cost me $8.75 which I think is a ridiculously high price for some noodles. Beef was bland and it was about 97.5% veggies and 2.5% meat.
Richard Therien: The generals chicken was super bomb. It was crunchy with good flavor. The fried rice was pretty good too. The lunch special prices were pretty good and the food was made in a timely manner. There is no where to sit inside.Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 2/5 …More

House Of Wong: what do users think?
Yuwei Xiong: I made a pick up order via Grubhub this evening at around 5:45, the order tracking said the food will be ready between 6:10 and 6:20, and I arrived at the restaurant at 6:12. There were already around 10 people before me waiting for pick up orders. After that was endless waiting. People who arrived for pick up orders kept coming in and filled the lobby. What made it worse was that there were only two seats for people waiting in the lobby. I got my orders in the end at 7:02. The food was warm and the taste was not bad, but definitely not worth the wait and price. I will never order at this place again. I also hope that all food delivery platforms can reconsider if this restaurant is capable of taking online orders.
Shawn Jones: DELIVERY GRADE: A+Staff is incredibly nice and the deliveries are ready upon arrival. Thanks!
Theron Mills: Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Grenzebach and Sons Construction: The crab Rangoon was terrible the worst I've ever had there was way too much garlic and i like garlic and taste nothing like traditional carb rangoon. The portion was small for the cost andi didn't get my drink either. I wouldn't go back.
Michelle Miracle: Great food and service. A meal I love is not on the menu but they made it for me. I have eaten there both times I have been to Clayton and both times were amazing! Food is fresh and delicious. If you are looking for great Chinese eat here.
Judy Giesler: Unless you’re walking it’s a terrible location if you park on the side street it’s a hill that you Harlequin keep your balance on and we need and walk in the door. There’s about nine steep steps. The food was good and I can recommend that but be careful getting there.
John Fortner: Great service, Great food, and Great atmosphere. It was quick and easy, but the food was great!
Patti Hageman: Vegetarian options: wonderful tofu dishesperfectly crispy on outside and creamy on inside
Ben Maschan: Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Hanili Loza: Place was beyond clean the food was amazing and you could tell they care about their customers. If I could leave 10 stars I would.
Elizabeth Thiele: Ordered online. Pickup was smooth. The food tasty. I could taste some yummy ginger bits.
J Had: Try the chicken mango asparagus with white rice and support a small family business. You will not be disappointed.Recommended dishes Special, Shrimp & Chicken Combo, Crab Rangoon …More
FancyLee Wallace: Initially, I planned to dine in at House of Wong for Christmas (2022) as I have done in the past. Thankfully, something told me to call and check on things beforehand. I am glad that i did. The restaurant planned to close for both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. However, the food has been so delicious during my past visits that I still wanted it for Christmas. Therefore, I ordered the food on December 23, 2022, so that i could have it for Christmas dinner with my husband at home the day of Christmas.House of Wong has a delicious specialty menu. Consequently, it was my main focus. I ordered the duck in a special plum sauce with fried rice. Additionally, i ordered the mango asparagus dish with white rice and the lemon chicken dish with white rice. Moreover, I decided to try their spicy pineapple fried rice with beef from their fried rice menu. I had never tried this dish made by them. My husband loves chicken wings, so we decided to try their 6 piece thai wings as well. Undoubtedly, we were 100% pleased with all of our selections. House of Wong did not disappoint; Christmas dinner turned out absolutely fantastic. I would highly recommend ordering take-out or dining in with House of Wong.Dietary restrictions: If you are unable to eat fried rice, you can always select white rice or even to have no rice with some of the dishes. If you aren't a meat eater, you can always opt for no meat in any of the dishes. House of Wong offers an area for you to type in any special needs that you have after you select your dish. You are able to write in notes after EVERY dish that you add to your cart. I liked this feature on their website.
Eleanor Kurtz: They pranked me. I called to see if they were open, and the guy took my reservation. They were not open when we got there. Could have just said no.
Max Well: Absolutely fantastic food, high quality ingredients, and great service. Can't ask for much more. We will be back for sure.Recommended dishes Special …More
Antony Hasler: This was our first time since you moved to the new address, and we only went for carry-out! But we look forward to eating dine-in sometime soon. In the meantime, the house beef and ma po tofu were good as ever, and the chicken wings perfect too! Over 26 years in St Louis - bar the recent break - you’ve been a staple for us, and with good reason. Thank you!
Darnell Loyd: Awesome fast service. Very clean and pristine. I love this placeParking: Metered parking and parking garage in the back no problem finding a spot
Corinne Austin: Really good. We got takeout and were impressed. Much better than the standard Chinese takeout.Vegetarian options: They had lots of tofu options to choose from. I got the Kung Pao tofu and loved it. They also had vegetable dumplings which was great. They had way more vegetarian options than most Chinese takeout places around here.
Vanessa Speight: I drove all the way to Clayton from Creve Coeur and it was well worth the drive. Food was excellent people are friendly. I will definitely visit again real soon.
Cate Cullen: Best in St. Louis!
Jim Berilla: Great tasting food and reasonably priced.

Definitely a must try.Update: I've been back once a week since I tried kims and everything I try is just top notch. Egg rolls, combo plates etc. I refuse to go anywhere else now. I live in wentzville and have planned city trips with the family around kims.
Orlando Payton: One of my favorite places to takeout Chinese food.
Deborah Sieh: Coming from Nashville Tennessee and originally Atlantic City, New Jersey, I must say I was impressed with the Chinese food today. I loved the egg foo yung embedded in gravy. The lo mein was superb. The fried rice was just right. I was surprised how small the wings were. I ate seconds in my days inn hotel room. I would definitely order and pick up here again. The guy at the restaurant was nice. When I first drove up, I was skeptical from the way the building looks outside. But the food taste really good and fresh. At my age, I’m hard to please. I recommend this place to Chinese food lovers. I want to say thank you and god bless the cooks. Kudos.

DeMan 1032: Any rating over a 1 is far too generous. Are you kidding me? General’s chicken was like chicken doughnuts in a super sweet goo. The spicy chicken was more onions, peppers and shoots and maybe 4 ounces of chicken on a full order. Wonton soup was like bland dishwater the wontons were ok. The fried rice was not crispy at all and just tasted like soy sauce. The noodles weee super greasy. What an embarrassment to authentic Chinese cuisine.
Mike D: Their soups are so tasty and they have so many different flavors on the menu! They are always perfectly balanced and full of veggies. I’ve been quite a few times now and have no plans on stopping. My to go orders have always been packed with care and you can order them through the most of the main apps. Ariah Davis: Great service! Great food !!
Tyanna: I am so disappointed this is a place i use to go to atleast 4 times a week back in the day when they where at the old location and under a the name of chinese express...i paid over $30.00 for half special fried rice, wontons, and half order of hot braise chicken combo...The rice was ok, wonton use to be wayyyyy better and the hot braise chicken boneless was fried to hard and it taste burned couldnt eat it..Well i tried it but im not going back..
Lamon Pickens: I bought some food for my friend in and she loved It I will be backFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Kevin Montgomery: Place is closed permanently
Marquisha Rcice: They need to work more on answering there phone they’ll be sitting there letting the phone ring while they just look at it …
Dan McLaughlin: Always the way you want it . Looking for great Chinese food downtown , this is your place to go. Takeout or eat in , always the best.
Bridgett A.: Not great at all. I am a St. Louis native visiting where I hoped to get some good chinese food. Though the restaurant was clean, place was inviting and prices are good, the food was awful. An order of crab rangoon and plain fried rice with bean sprouts went to the trash! Not sure how one can go wrong with these basic menu items. Maybe I misjudge since this is a "gourmet" chinese restaurant (named Asia Gourmet); nevertheless, my taste buds were dissatisfied. I guess I am more familiar with the "hood" restaurants.
Ramona Johnson: The restaurant was clean and inviting. Service was friendly yet slow. I was not impressed with the food. The General Tso's Chicken had good flavor but was too hard...and by hard I mean too crispy! I hurt my gums trying to eat it! The Potstickers were bland. I've passed by this place several times, and always wanted to give it a try. Now I wish I would have kept going. I do NOT recommend!
nahomi berhe: CLEAN and tasty!
Douglass Alexander: I was going to capture a picture of my food but I always eat it before I remember, which I’m taking a good sign :)The food always taste fresh, crispy, and just the right amount of sauce. I personally always hate when the chicken is drenched in sauce to the point of being soggy, so this place nailing it on the balance is amazing. Good portion size too.

Gabe Johnson: I love Joy Luck. The Coconut shrimp is literally my favorite food.
jazzyinmay: Horrible! I WISH I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS. Everything needed to be updated—nothing was inviting about this place walking in. Even the plates were stained. Food was NOT fresh, looked like it had been sitting ALL day & my family & I went around 7:30pm. Not much was that tasty. Boiled shrimp wasn't cleaned. The only thing that looked somewhat decent/fresh was the fruit & dessert. As I attempted to sift through my plate to see what WAS edible, I found a maggot in my broccoli!!! This was my first time coming here & was a recommendation from my cousin who'd been here years ago, horrible impression! The workers were sort of helpful, which is why I gave 3 stars instead of one. Got drinks wrong but corrected them, refunded the whole table after I saw the bug, but I'd never come here again & would never recommend this place!!!

Brianna Adams: The most honest review you will find.Hot pot was $26.99per person. We drove 2 1/2 hours because we were craving hot pot and this was the closest. The food was okay I enjoyed the lamb a lot and the others in my group really liked the beef. The soups were extremely flavorful and my 2 year old had plenty she could eat at the buffet. The quality of meat wasn’t bad but did have a lot of fat. The vegetables were not good and the shrimp still have the head which is just good to note if you’re like me and find it gross. They didn’t have a lot in terms of selection and the staff weren’t very attentive so we had to wait between rounds. Overall if you’re in the area and you are wanting to try it absolutely go for it but if you have to drive I would consider waiting.

Hong Kong Express: what do users think?
Meghann Stotlar: If I could give a zero, I would. Their website states delivery, and when you look at them on google it also states contactless delivery. After an hour of waiting for the delivery, I called them. They reported that my food was waiting for me there, because they only use grub hub for delivery. So, I am out $30+, and we will see if I am reimbursed. Will never order from them again.

Dustin French: I had Hong Kong Express for the first time today. I ordered the Szechuan Spicy Chicken (combo plate #8) with Crab Rangoon. This dish was wonderful! The portions were generous, the ingredients were high quality, the food was still hot after taking it home, and finally those crab rangoons were some of the best I've ever had (high in garlic flavor, which I love). The price was fine as well, I feel like I got enough food for two meals and it cost $8.50 or close to that. I am excited to try more dishes here!
