Douglas Clemens: My usual go-to at Lu Lu Seafood and Dim Sum is the Crispy Eggplant, but this weekend I took a detour into their Dim Sum menu. I had a variety of dishes including turnip cakes and spicy tofu, both delivering a delightful blend of flavors and textures. The sticky rice in lotus leaf was a standout, its earthy flavor complemented nicely by the savory garlic green beans. The meal ended on a high note with the egg custard tart, its creamy filling encased in a buttery pastry. All in all, the visit was a flavorful culinary adventure I'm eager to repeat.

Ramanda Brockett: Our entrees were good and hot. However, mine had very little veggies (looked like noodles for 3 and chicken for 2). The "dim sum" items are not fresh nor worth $6 per plate. They look and taste like they're made from frozen and just sent through a steamer in the back of the restaurant. We did not finish a few of our orders for those reasons. Service was great, although they forgot my friends soup order and didn't bring it until the end of the meal after we had asked about it several times. Good family atmosphere and lots of large tables around us were having a great time. About half the noodles in my pan fried noodle with shrimp entree were cooked right and the other half was like eating straw. Husband's sweet and sour chicken was chewy and the sauce lacked flavor. I am so disappointed because we had high hopes for this place. They did do a great job of putting our order together very quickly and it was delivered astonishingly well by uber eats driver.

Alfredo Jahn: I remember liking this spot but had not been in several years. We ordered the spicy crispy chicken (chongqing), which was a small portion and not very crispy. The Chinese broccoli rabe was tasty but underdone. The rice was clearly old, mushy, clumped and dried out, not flushy and hot. The mapo tofu was good. The pork belly was fine, but again a small portion. We were seated immediately and the service was not bad. But in the future, I would rather have waited in line elsewhere.

Annabel Eyrick: Note this is specific to LuLu in Rock Hill NOT U City!!Wow. This place has gone DOWNHILL!! I can't believe I once recommended the place to friends. The entire restraint was filthy. There was good smeared on all of the menus. The service was scarce and downright rude and mean. The table next to us simply asked about the water they had asked for, and the waitress snapped back and said can't you see I don't have any more hands? There's also a constant annoying beeping sound the entire time we were there. I think it's signaling food that's ready for pickup. When our food finally arrived, our appetizer was forgotten without even an apology, the food was absolutely awful and the main dish was made with a completely different noodle because the noodle we ordered was unavailable. Instead of an apology, the waitress was very upset that we didn't simply accept the completely different dish. Again, I can't believe this is the same restaurant. It gives Lu Lu's a very bad name. I will NEVER return.

Robin Lee: Wonderful dim sum! We tried several things along with dinner. My partner had the beef stew. The broth flavor and cabbage was a delight. I had the beef and seafood platter. The garlic on the beef and the brown sauce had great flavor. But our favorites were the soup dumplings, cucumbers in vinegar, the seaweed, and the pork/ shrimp shumai! I wish they would have served red vinegar with the dumplings, but they were delicious without. We will definitely be going back again! And we had lots of leftovers for dinner and lunch the next few days!

Brenna LaRocque: I used to love ordering takeout from this place. The last three times I’ve ordered I have been extremely disappointed. My order instructions are never followed, and this last time the food quality was extremely poor. The veggies don’t taste fresh, and the dishes are unflavored yet somehow there is a pool of brown sauce at the bottom of the takeout dish. My partner’s dish made him sick to his stomach, and I could only stand a few bites of mine before throwing it in the trash. Sadly, after being a regular for 4 years, we will no longer be ordering from LuLu’s. I’ve given them plenty of chances. They need to get their quality checks in order and listen to their customers.

Not recommended despite all the posted newspaper clippings.
