Steven Bott: It's party time, so it is time to shop and stock up at Crate and Barrel.I'm hosting a St. Patrick's Day party at my house, after we've all gone out and gotten our feed on with Corned Beef and Cabbage. We're going to be playing a variety of board games and enjoying plenty of adult beverages.I have almost everything you'd need to entertain, but I can still add to my collection. Typically, I am an eclectic type person, but for some strange reason for this party, I want everything to match. So off to, Crate and Barrel, to buy new and additional glassware.The prices on their glassware in my opinion are fair. This have a wide range of price points, so you can easily find something within your budget. I'm serving a Jameson Manhattan, so I bought some new stemmed cocktail glasses. We'll also, be doing Irish beer tastings, so I had to have those cute little tasting glasses.Some consider C&B to be an upscale and overpriced retailer, but smart shoppers know how to find quality at a good price. As the old saying goes, "You get what you pay for." Crate and Barrel will definitely give you more bang for your buck.The customer service here is always, top notch. However, for me it is kinda scary. I'm such a regular, most of the long term employees know me.

Mary Rekart: I had a Christmas gift order (ordered end of November)shipped to the store and it arrived at three different times (not ideal but not an issue). The third trip, after receiving an email to pickup, was not there. I waited 15 minutes (not an issue) and an employee came out and said they couldn’t find it and he said he would reorder it. He stated it might get there in time for Christmas (7 days away) but it might be the week after. I understood and said that was fine. When I got home and looked at my email, the new order stated estimated arrival MID FEBRUARY! An issue. I called the Brentwood store and asked to speak to a manager. I did not get her name. But I very nicely started to explain what had happened and she in erupted me and said, “Can I have your order number because if this is an online order, I can’t help you.” Awesome. :( I gave her the number, she put me on hold and came back and said, “This is an online order but what is your question?” I continue to tell her how I had made multiple trips, how her sales person had told me the order would be there in a week or two and how I was upset that the order was now arriving in February. Her answer was literally “I can’t help you.” Not “I’m so sorry that happened to you.” Not, “Let me see if there’s anything I can do.” Not, “Let me give you the phone number of the online Customer Service.” I told her I was upset and she said she didn’t know what I wanted, there was nothing she could do. So I asked her if there was an online customer service and she said yes and said I could call the 800 number. She did not offer the number.I’m not sure who this manager that was there the Saturday before Christmas was, but she is a horrible customer service person whose only accomplishments that day was making me sorry I didn’t order dishes from Pottery Barn. You just lost a customer Crate and Barrel of Brentwood

The customer representative was great on the phone. The delivery team was great. The problems We have is they deliveried broken beds to us three times despite the customer representative on the phone told us that they will inspect by an regional warehouse inspector before goes out for delivery twice. The third time delivery is today, it was a lemon one also. We ended up have them take everything away and requestrd for a full refund. We ordered the same bed for my mother, which will be delivered in June. We can't not wait go though the same problem again! I really have a second thought on buying furnitures from them. We got some small furnitures from them with the same order. They are fine, except the bed. The bed is not a cheap bed we ordered! We are experiencing great customer service, but poor product delivery! We are not sure if we will buy from them again!

Michael Betz: Crate and Barrell should be ashamed of themselves. We purchased the $1000 Tate Bar Cabinet. After waiting months it arrived this week. The delivery guys showed me all sorts of scratches but said we should keep while and ask Crate and Barrell to replace. I keep looking and discover numerous cheap "metal" hinges that are broken and screws falling out.We tried calling customer service but they won't talk to us they want to do everything over email so they can provide robotic responses. Then they state they don't carry the color we ordered anymore. They'll replace with a different color that doesn't match any of our furniture or give us a pathetic $100 off. This thing is totally broken. What a joke. I looked at their website and low and behold tons of reviews with the same complaints. I tried to review.and the refused to post it. What a joke. It's ashamed because we used to shop here all the time. Spend the extra money and go to Pottery Barn or such. Or save your money and go to an el-cheapo type store. Either way the product and customer service will be better.

The re is no communication from the store that my order is delayed.3. The order finally arrived in Jan . Then I scheduled the delivery on Jan 8th. However, I waited at him from 11 am to 6 pm, their driver never showed up. 4. I rescheduled the delivery tomorrow on Jan 22nd. Guess what the store said the table is damaged and I won't receive it till next week.I have ordered furniture from other stores. Article, Lumens and even wayfair provides much better service.

Alma Husidic: I really am at a lose of words for this place and the owner Deborah. The items at Intaglia are always very trendy and good quality and such a great deal compared to similar items online. I think what makes this place exceptional is the customer service. Deborah is so responsive to text messages and will send over photos of items based on inquiry. The kindest thing is how out of her way she went to ensure I had a very sentimental gift for my partner for Christmas. I bought a frame with a little quote on it back in March for my boyfriend which ended up getting lost in our move. It was a very special thing for us because of the saying and I was gutted when it came up missing. I texted Deborah and asked if she had any and she went out of her way to go to the store (it’s closed for the holidays), pick up the last frame for me and print a new sign for inside of the frame based on our last one. Guys, this little frame is $15 so I doubt it’s about the monetary gain here. I’m in tears at the thought of someone doing something so special for another person. Debrorah, if you are reading this - thank you SO much.

Mohamed Omran: I recently purchased a sofa from Bassett, and unfortunately, my experience with their customer service has been disappointing. When the company delivered the sofa, it was dirty and not in a new condition.After contacting the agent about the issue, they reached the district manager. The manager's email response could have been better. Rather than acknowledging the inconvenience caused, the manager's reply was not pleasant. They said they would send someone to clean the sofa without offering alternative options.Such an indifferent attitude towards a customer's valid concern is unacceptable. This company prioritizes making a sale over providing a satisfactory customer experience.This will be my first and last time purchasing furniture from Bassett. I strongly advise others to consider alternative options when needing furniture, as this company's disregard for customer satisfaction is simply unacceptable.
Capt. Gray Beard: The saleswoman was very friendly, and very well versed in her products. However, the furniture seemed way too expensive for us. Not to mention the majority of what you want has to be built and can take about 2 months before you'll receive it.
Larry: Our sales person was very helpful and engaging and we’re happy with the product quality. Our problem is their problem resolution. A significant piece of our furniture was delivered damaged beyond repair and it took them 2 months to reorder the damaged product. Two months! They let us keep the damaged piece to use until the new piece arrives. Yet we’re missing the necessary hardware needed and they’ve never returned to assemble the product. I’ve talked with someone…twice about this with no result. Just awful customer service.

We walked past the service counter where there were four (4) saleswomen that had been talking to a white woman that we walked past after entering the store. None of the servicewomen looked at us or acknowledged our presence. After we walked past the service desk, I told my wife that we should leave. Apparently, these "Karens" don't value Black customers! This location doesn't deserve any stars; I wish that I could leave a "0" star rating.

I was so excited to get my Bench Made hand crafted dining set I ordered in February and got a call saying it was done in March! I wasn’t closing on my house until May, so they held on to it until that time . They delivered assembled it to find the table looked like it was used for whittling or carving practice The legs were to be replaced .That was May…. It’s September . How can a 78 inch table, a bench, and 4chairs get made in a month but two lousy table legs take 3 months? Have reached out to corporate and have not heard back.I want want my legs!
Callie Vail: Factory failed to include the legs to my couch. When I called the store a woman named Renee told me that is what I get for not paying for delivery. Not the customer experience I would expect for a $5000+ couch. For that price I should not have to pay extra for delivery just to ensure I get an entire couch. I do not trust their products and their customer service is awful.

Margaux Guiney: Wow! Spent over $4000 on a custom table and chair set that they cannot properly furnish for us. After waiting 5 weeks the first table had to be returned as it didn't pass inspection (not sure what was wrong with it). They assured us they would re-make it. Well when it arrived it most certainly should not have passed inspection. It was the wrong height and the base was the wrong color. It was hideous, not sure how it passed inspection that time. At this point I'm leary of accepting any furniture from them and refuse to keep paying on the table I have not received. DON'T buy here. It will only frustrate and disappoint you.

She really worked to understand our vision for our bedroom and helped us choose pieces that made sense for us. We spent about 3 hours with her and received several follow up communications from her keeping us updated on our order. We couldn’t have asked for anything more in our experience with her!
Dawn DeBlaze: My order process went smooth initially for plenty of custom furniture. Massaly Hare was quite friendly and helpful along the way, making a home visit in advance. The out-sourced delivery team was excellent! Two major hiccups: (1) The Manchester office (not my sales rep), called midday on the day before delivery 'requiring' payment in advance or my delivery would be rescheduled. I was told they would not accept check (apparently incorrect), thus putting me in a difficult position to get cash from the bank. In addition, I had to leave my own business and drive to their store--extra 3 hours total. They offered a nominal fee reduction for the error. (2) The table is not completely secure, and came with wood screws for a stone table (?). Massaly indicated I would receive a call that week from their service rep. Now 28 days later, someone finally contacted me to try and set-up a date to correct the table issue.* When you pay high prices for better service/quality...you expect it. :(
Shaun Assner-Alvey: The sales staff was very friendly and accommodating, and we ended up purchasing a custom sectional. However when the furniture arrived the accent pillows where not the ones we had ordered, and clearly did not match the swatches attached to the work on orders on the furniture. Two of the cushions were damaged from the manufacturing process (not shipping and delivery) and had to be replaced. All of the pieces were covered with strings that were attached to the seems, and had to be trimmed.The sales staff was apologetic and we were given a nominal discount, but overall the quality of the furniture we received in no way reflected the price we payed. I can only consider the lack of attention to detail in manufacturing such as the items described above to be indicative of a systemic lack of quality in the overall manufacturing process.Given our experience this is not a company I would recommend to others.

David Kilper: After reaching the end of the internet looking for upholstered beds that were high quality, the proper scale and customizable, I finally found Bassett Furniture. They were the only furniture retailer that offered exactly what I was looking for, right down to the style and color of the legs on the bed. Fantastic selection of fabrics and very helpful on-site designers who will (patiently) walk you through your options and help you make the right decision. Unlike every other furniture store that I dealt with, they also routinely called me with updates on the progress of my order. It was great to be kept in the loop and not have to place those calls on my own. Top-notch.
Kaitlin Leach: Came into Bassett ready to speak to a sales consultant and designer after looking online for a few weeks with a budget in mind. Walked in the store and browsed around for 10 minutes and wasn’t greeted by any of the sales people! Walked around a second time hoping to catch anyone’s attention and again was ignored. Some couple walked in after us and they were quickly greeted and helped. I guess we were chopped liver to them. I called later to confirm if we actually needed an appointment and the manager said no but claimed they were busy. How can that be true if we watched other customers who had walked in be quickly greeted and helped? Maybe if it looks like you don’t have money, don’t shop here? Taking our business elsewhere!

Teresa Wheeler: The staff called in advance to inform us of the delivery window and the delivery was within that time frame. The long-time Forshaw's employee was knowledgeable and friendly. The summer college student assisting him was very mannerly, well-spoken and enthusiastic about his employment with Forshaw's. The delivery team was pleasant and accommodating in setting up our patio table and chairs, adjusting the table and chair legs for balance. Forshaw's can be proud of this team!

William Shirley (Bill): Was interested in fireplace inserts and thought we would try Forshaw. Met sales rep Emily - very knowledgeable. Informed us of a lot of the intricacies of inserts. After thinking about it (they're not inexpensive) and after visiting two other stores, we decided on Forshaw. First, an estimator comes to spec out your situation. After down-payment (fall 2022), installation is then scheduled for 4-6 weeks out. On installation day, we had a crew of three arrive at about 7:30 AM to install 2 inserts. Job was completed at little past noon with comparatively little dust. We were fortunate in that utilities (gas/electric) could be run in the garage or through the ashdump so as to create and uncluttered appearance. Each insert has its own dedicated (paired) remote control.
Michael Hauskins: Excellent service by Phillip and Thomas today doing maintenance on the two Heatilator fireplaces in our villa. I would definitely request their services in the future.
