the market on central: Our son was driving alone from Georgia to Wyoming for his summer job when his truck began giving him problems in St. Louis. He located St. Louis Auto & Truck Repair from an online search, saw that they had great reviews and arrived when they opened at 7am hoping that they might be able to help him get back on the road. Everyone was incredibly kind and helpful, he enjoyed talking with the staff, they assessed his truck, did the repairs and had him back on the road by mid-afternoon. Our family would HIGHLY RECOMMEND St. Louis Auto & Truck Repair to anyone in the area needing assistance! Could not have asked for better!!!Service:General repairs maintenance

Kay Young: Communication with Lisa was rather rude upon arrival to pick up my vehicle. As I began to express my concern in regards to the additional service I was charged for, she kept cutting me off in mid sentence. She gave me an estimate of the work that was going to be done on first call I received from her. The second call she told me they added more oil which boosted my total amount due and they were wrapping it up then, arranged for someone to pick me up. I was aware that I needed an oil change but was not overdue. However, when I came for pick up (inquiring about my concern) she mentioned that they hadn’t yet put the oil in when she called the second time (but she gave a different amount due in the 2nd call). When she finished talking after continuously interrupting me, we had a stare down that lasted several seconds and that was it. She walked away and the polite young lady at the register checked me out. This is is the 3rd time I’ve had a vehicle serviced here and the first 2 times were similar situations. I mentioned those situations when I dropped my vehicle off in hopes of it not happening again. I requested that nothing extra be done I didn’t approve of or ok. Unfortunately, I will not be back for any service again. The guys do great work but Lisa totally rubbed me the wrong way with her contradicting manner of communication and rudeness.
no body: Definitely do not trust these guys. They are very rude. They lie to you as well. They sabotaged some equipment of ours on our truck and when confronted about it gave us a time and date to come check the video cameras. Then Lisa said we failed to come up and check the cameras when the date that they set has not even come up yet. They also lied to us about parts that are discontinued on our vehicle when they never even called us back to tell us. It's a shame how some of these businesses conduct themselves. Treat customers who are not of their own race very disrespectfully. Definitely would give this place zero stars if we could.Service:Auto emissions testing

Joe Murray: I got a quote for a $100 on brakes on groupon. Turns out they what they do is sell premium brake pads making you pay the same cost as you would with no groupon. They don't tell you how much the brake pads are. They also do this with their oil changes on groupon. They show you will pay $40 for an oil change then charge you fees as read in the fine print. Its shady business practices. I didn't use their service because I knew a place cheaper in north city . Roxanne LaRaia: On a cross country trip to a friend’s wedding with more than 1000mi to go we noticed strange noises coming from the underside of our Prius. Reliable Automotive was right off the highway we were on so we carefully drove over for help. Mr. Larry and his staff were so kind, put it up on a lift and took the time to actually show us what was causing the rattling. We were back on the road within an hour or so all fixed up! These folks are professional and compassionate— truly a godsend to have found them!!

Brittany Smith: The most ABSOLUTE best service I’ve had in my entire life! Mr.Larry (the owner) is a truly exceptional man. He literally saved me from a nightmare… I made a huge mistake of going to another auto repair shop before him and the repairs they made caused more damage! I was told it was one thing and then another in order for them to get paid more for a different repair. Both repairs they did they damaged other parts while doing so. I must say this was a nightmare due to me being six months pregnant and originally from Texas and moving back. He made sure he would ensure that I get all of what I needed taken care of before me hitting the highway again… and he did just that. He even went out of his way to pick me up since I was close in the area instead of getting a Uber to I can get back to my vehicle. When I tell you this experience was amazing it shows you that there are still really good people out there and mr.Larry at reliable auto is one of them for sure. I would highly recommend ANYONE to this auto repair it’s worth it and you will be running PROPERLY. I would love to say thanks to the most amazing mechanic and his crew💪🏽

Starter price is around $50 but he sold it to us for $250. When I confronted him, he said you should have asked before and I can’t help you now. I even show him online price of the part, but he denied it. It is total fraud. I am going to write a complaint in bbb. I hope I can take back some of my money.

Jayden Phillips: No appointments needed; first come, first serve. Very helpful and friendly staff. Also, they always give treats to my dog! In a good location and easy to find. They don't have a working relationship with rental car companies, so if the labor takes longer than a day, you'll need to take care of that separately, but otherwise Wicke is a great local neighborhood auto body shop.
Jane Sauer: They are honest and on time. I have used them for about 40 years and have only had top notch experiences. I use them for complete auto care and not just bodywork.
Ryan Arthur: As a new resident of Missouri and Saint Louis I had a lot of trouble finding a mechanic and shop that was honest, knowledgeable and reliable. After my car broke down due to a large pot hole that caused electrical failure in the system I was told by one of my new neighbors to use Wicke Auto Service.I walked into the shop and was welcomed with a genuine smile from Jeff. I explained what had happened and asked if they could investigate and repair. The team ran diagnostics, changed out my spark plugs, and vacuumed the excess oil. When I came back in to follow up Jeff informed me of a compression issue in Cylinder 4. He spent a good deal of time explaining what that meant, the tests they did and what he would recommend. I didn’t feel cheated or that I was being taken advantage of. After leaving the shop I left more knowledgeable and confident in the resolution for my vehicle. The team was courteous, knowledgeable and professional. I would highly recommend using this shop for any of your repair needs and that includes daily maintenance like oil changes.

Long story short - I am 800 miles away, trying to be Dad, 500 for a flare tire sounded exorbitant, till I found out there was a curb, alignment concerns, and a genuine desire to make things right for the customer - thanks Jeff!
Deep Chatterjee: It was the fastest service I have ever had. I had a nail in one of my tires and left my car with them first thing in the morning. They did the work within 40 minutes. Charges: $35, very reasonable. I don't live in Saint Louis, but I visit every weekend since my wife stays here. I might end up getting subsequent servicing done here with them.Update: it has been almost two years since my first review above, and my feedback is the same. I got a wheel bearing replacement done along with a couple of oil changes. They are the best among other auto shops in the area. Honest diagnosis. Now that we are about to move from Saint Louis, I'll want an autoshop like Wikce's in my new place.

I had the unfortunate experience of having my Kia stolen & damaged, due to the overwhelming prevalence of that happening I had already called several other shops to see if they could do the repairs (most places were estimating 6-7 weeks before they could ever look at my car!) before I called Wicke. I explained the situation to Jeff & asked him if he thought he’d be able to have it fixed within a month (that’s how long insurance covered my rental for). He said it’d be a tight time frame but that I could bring my car in anyway. Throughout the weeks he was consistent with reaching out with updates & estimated completion times- he was ultimately able to get my car back to me the day before I had to return my rental. I can’t recommend him enough!

CreatorRedA: Friendly people and great service. I needed to get my ID/OD inspections for the DMV and they helped me avoid some unnecessary costs and got it done for a reasonable price. Another time, I nearly ran out of air in my tires during the winter trying to use a subpar gas station air device and with a quick call to Wicke they remedied the situation in 5 minutes.

Both times I’ve taken my car here I’ve been impressed with the customer service, quickness, and the price Wicke has offered. They always give the best price and get it done as quickly as they can.
