Avery Epstein: The food was fantastic. We did not know what to expect but everyone enjoyed their meal. I got the pork/pork belly, and the meat was cooked perfectly. My stepmother doesn't really eat red meat, but she said if she lived in KC, she would come back every month just to eat the Friday special (she is from Chicago). If you have the chance (and it is not too hot), sit outside! The beer garden is beautifully done!

Megan Anderson: One of my favorite restaurants in Kansas City! If you are a foodie as we are, you will certainly find dishes unlike anything you have had before. We leave every time excited about numerous dishes and trying things we never would have considered. For example, SWEETBREADS, they make them absolutely divine. I love that everyday we walk through the doors that the menu is brand new and inventive! We love sitting at the bar near the kitchen so we can watch everyone channel their creative skills. A must try!
Shai Mason: Hands down the best food and service I have received. I will definitely be stopping in Kansas City just to eat here. Big props to Drew and Chris for making me and my friend feel welcomed even though we strolled in near the end of service. The food was immaculate and the kindness and down-to-earth nature of the people working at the Antler Room is refreshing. I appreciate how much work goes into each dish and if you want to have a wonderful experience you should come here.
Evan Glasier: One of the most overrated places I’ve ever eaten. Minuscule portions at NYC prices.
Matthew Rowland: Great experience from start to finish!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Seared Duck Breast …More

Emily Lemus: The Antler Room is my new favorite spot in KC! Food was beyond my expectations and their menu has a little bit for everyone whilst still being adventurous. Service was great as well! It was my first time ever here and the friendliness of the staff and just general vibe was lovely; Such a small cozy place to enjoy a delicious meal!
Charles Franklin: Our family joined my wife and me to celebrate our anniversary. We had been here before and were somewhat familiar. The dishes are seasonal, so you may not get something you had before. We ordered one of everything and split it. They put their touch on every dish, and it is delicious. Katie was our server, and she was attentive to us. She kept our drinks charged and plates and silverware clean.
Jessica Hazlett: I went in not knowing what to expect, so I was very worried when I found out it was a family-style serving situation, especially considering the small dishes I'd seen in reviews. Sharing the small (delicious) dishes among 4 people definitely left us wanting more, but by the end of the last course I was full. Not overstuffed, not too full to walk, but satisfied, which I very much prefer. I loved it, but if I were to go back, I would probably stick with a party of 2 instead of 4.
Amy Fantasma: Delicious!! Food is excellent!
Barbara Findley: Amazing food and the service was impeccable! We loved the experience and highly recommend it for a great dining experience. I can't wait to go again when I am in Kansas City.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Allison Koelzer: Incredible, eclectic dishes in a vibey, friendly environment. Cocktail and bar program is always banging!Go for the veg forward dishes, you’ll fall in love with greens and root veggies in a way you didn’t think you could!
Darrell Loo: The Antler Room is my favorite restaurant in town, and as always, my recent visit on Thursday didn't disappoint. I had just returned to town and was eager to relax in a comfortable atmosphere. Settling at the bar with a delightful glass of wine, I perused the seasonal menu with anticipation. My meal began with the irresistible Nori Shokupan, a must-have staple whenever I spot it on the menu. I continued with the Romanesco dish, featuring golden hummus, anchovy brown butter, crispy chickpeas, and anchovies. This flavorful dish showcased fresh, delectable vegetables. Another standout was the Cucumber dish with smoked salmavocado, tahini sauce, and buckwheat lavosh in a rose vinaigrette. This simple, refreshing dish was beautifully balanced by the vinaigrette.Next, I savored the Pan-Roasted Veal Sweetbreads, accompanied by beef tallow whipped potatoes, endive, white wine mustard sauce, croutons, capers, and rosemary. This hearty, comforting dish was a delight. I also enjoyed the Seared Duck Breast, served with fried sunchokes, local spinach, ravigote, and umeaboshi plum jus. The duck was cooked to perfection, and the sweet umeaboshi plum jus perfectly complemented the dish.To conclude my meal, I couldn't resist the Coconut Panna Cotta with pandan ice cream, mango sauce, and caramel tuille. This light, refreshing dessert, reminiscent of spring, provided the ideal ending to my dining experience.
Warda Shafi: I always prefer better quality food in small plates over mediocre food piled on the plates. I had the haddock with bok choy, sushi rice, caviar, and mushrooms. The dish was a little soupy, always a plus for me since I'm a huge soup fan. The food was delicious and looked wonderful, and I could tell the ingredients were of high quality, always a delight. This was a hearty meal, all the while very light on the stomach.
Mark Steele: Really impressive meal in quaint neighborhood of Kansas City. I was recommended here by a local foodie...and their level escalated a few notches. Not a immensely large menu, but quality and thought out. This was my last stop before airport, so only got to enjoy a few items:- Rabbit and Kale Tortellini- Veal SweetbreadBoth were easily paired with a wine by the glass.Everything is well valued, too.Bartender knew his selections and pairings well.My only regret is that I didn't have enough time to enjoy more.Well done to the team. Experiences like this happen only with commitment and leadership at the top.Be smart and assure you stop here. If I lived in vicinity, it'd be a bi-weekly trip.

Chris Sterni: Recent trip to Kansas City. Everything we had was tasty. How does his carrots taste so good. Service was top notch. Was kind of afraid of ordering the seaweed donut but I was wrong. They were fantastic. Definitely can't go wrong give this place a try.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Cheeseburger, Steak Tartare, Carrots, Seaweed Donuts …More
Maggie Brown: Absolutely one of the best meals in KC.
Mikala Gardner: Incredible. Best meal I've had in awhile. So unique, everything you get will blow your mind. The ribeye was so tender and juicy. Perfection. This is a must go in KC. We went in and just grabbed a seat at the bar and ordered all of our entrees with the bartender. The live music addition just perfects the atmosphere!
Timothy Broderick: Overall, a fine dining experience. Courteous and polite service complemented by trained chef expertise.
Figo Chin: An amazing restaurant for date night and dinner parties. We enjoyed all the delicious food and drinks, paired with live music.Food wise: We had the Seaweed Donuts (similar to beignets, served with whipped butter and roe); Crispy Pork Ribs (MUST-HAVE!), XO Fried Rice and Spicy Strozzapreti. I would recommend the first three and can skip the last pasta dish if you're not a fan of kimchi.
John San Agustin: Honestly, my entire experience at this restaurant was disappointing. There is a ton of promise and knowledge in the restaurant as a whole, but the execution of practically all menu items was poor. I sincerely hope something changes soon because I want to eat the food I've heard about from the locals and articles I've read.Food: 2/5|Service: 2/5|Atmosphere: 2/5 …More
Aaron Wong: I’ve been wanting to try this spot for a while now and so glad I got the chance. A buddy of mine brought me here for my birthday and it was one of the best meals I’ve had in Kansas City. It was a Monday night and we didn’t have a reservation, so the host sat us up at the bar. Really not even worth mentioning except it was at the very end right next to the service well so it was a little distracting at times. The menu is New American/Italian/Asian fusion. We took recommendations from our server who may have been the floor manager. She helped us navigate the menu and we ended up ordering seaweed doughnut and crispy pork ribs to start. The seaweed doughnuts were decadent, think savory beignets with hint of seaweed smeared with a trout roe crema. The flavors of the crispy pork ribs heavily reminded me of a Vietnamese dish, bun cha. Next we had spicy strozzapretti and XO fried rice. The strozzapretti definitely stole the show, both of our favorite for the night. So much so we ordered a second. We still had a little room after so we asked for another suggestion and landed on the mushroom burger. It wasn’t a patty like I had expected, but more akin to a mushroom sloppy joe. That being said it did not disappoint the taste buds. Needless to say I’ll be back with the wife and friends in tow so I can try more phenomenal offerings from this menu.
Miguel Cunha: Good atmosphere with great live piano while you dine. The service was very friendly and attentive. From the dishes we tried I found the Gem salad, donuts, steak tartar, ribeye and creme brulee to be the best ones. The fried chicken, peas with ricotta and a couple of others were unremarkable.Recommended dishes Steak Tartare, Seaweed Donuts …More
Pooja A. Patel, DrOT, OTR/L: This place was so classy and cozy, perfect for a date night! They had a live pianist that added to the overall atmosphere. The food was unique and delicious! The mocktails were also yummy!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Dietary restrictions accommodated Vegetarian Recommendation for vegetarians Somewhat recommend Vegetarian offerings Clearly labeled vegetarian dishes …More
Gordon McNelly: Meh-
Anthony C: Maybe I'm not your target customer; the place is pricey for me, but I went in for a special occasion. The food really was good and the service attentive, so that part was good. I felt the portions were small. The thing that was so disappointing was that I chose the place based on a live music performance. There is one table directly behind a beam with nearly total obstructed viewing. Of course, that's where we were seated. I was so excited to try a good, albeit expensive, place and enjoy a show. I had reservations and everything. I couldn't enjoy the show I came to see. There was no forewarning or acknowledgement of the situation. I didn't bring it up because all the other tables were full and reseating wouldn't have been possible. If I would have known, I wouldn't have gone.
Srivathsa Reddy: Recommended dishes Crispy Pork Ribs, Carrots, Crispy PorkMore
Gunner Gabbert: Employees are great. Managment shouldn't illegally steal tip money from them.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 1/5 …More
Austin Williams: Great, well made cocktails. The Thai style pork ribs were awesome, & works well with the seaweed doughnuts.
Jamie Reuter: We had the burger, rigatoni, pork chop and fries. Also two glasses of wine. The only thing above average is the fries. Wendy's has a better burger. Just awful. Rigatoni was a bad version of midwest goulash and seriously the worst pork chop known to pigs. Horrifying subpar. James Beard is a joke if this place exists!!!

zhuoxin wang: I made reservations long time ago at tasting room for my bf birthday. I left note when I made the reservation. And told them the moment I step in. nothing special for his birthday. And the picture is a small bouquet I paid for 75 plus service fee and taxes. This place is way over priced. And the girl server give me a feeling that she doesn’t even want to serve our table even they charged 100 service fees. Final bill is $620 for two ppl not worth it at all. I rather use the money to other fine dining at least they give me a sparkle candle for birthday. bad experience. Won’t come back
Regan Bourland: We had a wonderful dinner experience at the Supper Club with friends. The bill was steep, but we knew what we were signing up for, and it was worth every penny. There was an excellent pianist and the service was top notch. You absolutely must get the fried chicken. You won't be disappointed.Vegetarian options: Plenty of options on the menu for everyone
Jayne Vernon: Went with 7 others on a Saturday night. Music was too loud to enjoy. Our server was not friendly nor very helpful. Had a great drink before our table was ready, asked server for another prepared the same way. He looked confused, we told him which bartender made it and what was different. He didn’t take the time, so the drink wasn’t what I wanted. Food was good, although would have been nice having some semblance of a three course meal if the food came out the way the menu is organized. Sourdough bread, should not come out last. And lastly, it is annoying to have the server point out although 20% is already added for a large group you can always add more. We’re adults, we know that. If your service was better perhaps we would have

Scott Sulik: Came for dinner and had a very good experience overall. Food was great, presentation was impressive, and portion sizes were large.Understanding we dined during a busy dinner time on a weekend, the servers seemed overworked and some of the dishes came out a little colder than expected. But the taste was still delicious, and we’d certainly be back to give it a second try.
Maugan Ra: A friend came from out of town and loves to try new food. She found Novel and we went. The waiter was prompt and personable (and even recognized my scientist nerd music from my Spotify, which hadn't turned off.) We had the steak tartare, which was fantastic and the fried potatoes... The curry spiced ketchup was insanely good. Friday night at 7 pm, there were plenty of customers but not overcrowded. I will definitely suggest it to my locals.
Michael GRabowski: We both had 7 layer salad excellent. She had the scallops asked for a box but there was nothing to bring home. We had a nice Riesling with her fish dish. A S: Easy to miss driving but worth making the trip in. Limited menu but very good options. Highly recommend the pork chop which I wouldn't normally order but glad it was recommended to me. On the spicy side but was asked ahead of time with warning and they were right. The apps are okay but I'll skip next time.I'll have this on my short list to bring visitors for something off the beaten path.
Melissa Davis: This restaurant was stellar! The service was impeccable every step of the way. Every item we ordered was next level. We started with the crispy farm egg and then the spring ravioli. Both were excellent. I had the KC strip for my main course and it did not disappoint. It was served with the best carrots I've ever had and I'm typically indifferent about carrots. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough!
Mizzmi27: The Duty Free cocktail was very good. The goat's milk pasta just kind of tasted like chili, it didn't really taste elevated or anything.Overall the food was good but felt overpriced.

The Coffey here is quite the show.Have had luck here with and without a reservation for a party of 2.Not the cheapest but worth the experince.Parking: You may have to circle the block and walk a block or two. There is a small public lot bear by but it is easily filled. I have never found a spot there
Bryan Whitehead: I’ve been dining here since before it was called La Bodega, so naturally it’s an enduring favorite for me. I always get a combination of tapas, so I don’t have much experience with entrees or salads. The small plates are outstanding. Almost everything I’ve gotten here has been an excellent combination of good basic cuisine and delicious sauce. I’m a big garlic fan, and they do an especially good job with garlic-intensive flavors.I just about always get the brotxeta and the papas fritas con ajo. From there it depends on what’s on special, what my companions want to try and what happens to catch my eye. As I said, I’ve almost never gone wrong. They also do a good job with cocktails. On my most recent visit I got an allspice daiquiri that was quite good. The service here is excellent. I recommend going during happy hour for the cheaper tapas and reduced noise level. Getting lots of small things can add up to a big bill at the end of the meal, and parking can be a little weird. But really this is one of KC's best dining experiences.
Ben Valley: I love tapas places and they are too few. This place is EXCELLENT! If you've never tried or you love tapas..... GO! They also have crazy cheap happy hour deals that are almost HALF OFF! You are doing yourself a disservice if you don't go. There are few places like this a one. Happy hour is Monday to Friday from 2 to 5. Bring a date, bring a spouse, bring of your friends, or go alone. BUT GO!!!!!

Emily Simpson: This place was okay. It was obviously trendy, but I went there with my dad and his older friends, and they couldn't understand the menu, and then you're outside and you've got the noise from the cars driving above you. The two tapas items that I picked from the menu for the table were a hit, but the other two that the table just went with at the suggestion of the server were kinda meh. The drinks were delicious, though. And though noisy, the patio was super cute. I think I'd have a different experience going back with friends. Not for the older crowd, I'd say. I think it could be a 5 star experience if I went with my girlfriends.

Affäre: what do users think?
Patrick Walker: A nice, updated take on the typical schnitzel and sausage fare you typically find in German restaurants. The brat trio was delicately flavored and nicely sauced. Preferable to the seafood risotto dish, which was competently executed, but nothing beyond what you’d find in another good local restaurant. The Painted Table dessert was remarkable in sweet flavors and in flame-illuminated presentation. Truly unique.
Jess Len: WOW. WOW. WOW. Enough said! Wow! The food was amazing! Came here on a Saturday evening as a lovely double date night and we were all so impressed! Everything was perfect, the food, the service, the drinks, the atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for the BEST German food! Thank you for such a great experience and I cannot wait to come back and have some more!
Kathleen Watson: Recommended dishes Wine Pairing, Jager SchnitzelMore
James Symmonds: Looks like it would be a nice date spot. Bartenders are really nice and the owners are around. Update: I still have yet to have a date to bring in but it would still be a good date place.
Brit Ann: Truly a treat to go to Affare. You definitely don't get the chain vibe from this place that even some of the more high end places give off around KC which is nice. Service was amazing and the food was great. High quality ingredients with mixtures of flavors that you don't expect and they still somehow taste amazing together. We got the Hummer Poutine, Risotto von Meeresfruchten, and Jakobsmuscheln mit Entenleber. It all was so good - loved the seafood. I'd probably go for a lighter starter next time but we were curious about lobster poutine.
Brent Sear: came to affare for a baby shower. the outdoor courtyard is great.

Sherry Smith: I would give this restaurant 100 stars. The food is excellent. The Jager Schnitzel was crispy and the meat was tender. The duck breast was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend the morels and white asparagus. On top of truly wonderful cuisine, the service was outstanding.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Woodsie Woods: First time and it was great. Ordered off their new seasonal “white asparagus” menu. The white asparagus soup had a nice deep flavor but was a tad too salty. I was very excited to see morel mushrooms on the menu with the white asparagus and morel mushroom spatzle. This dish had a nice sherry cream sauce, however it overpowered the delicate flavor of the morel mushrooms. Overall pleased with the quality, especially with these recipes being a fairly new addition.
Racheal Soendker: Truly one of the best restaurants in KC. Make a reservation to ensure you can be seated. Especially on the weekends. This is not a place to go if you are I'm a rush. They know how to time the dishes so you are sure to be finished with appetizers before the next course is brought out. They give you time to enjoy each course. If you choose to do a bottle of wine, the server is good about coming back to pour it timely. And the food is amazing. If you can, make sure you get there in the spring for the white asparagus menu. I've been there multiple times and have never been disappointed.

Shiona Deliozar: The service was excellent and the staff was really awesome and attentive. We thought the tasting menu itself was pretty average for the price. Everything tasted fresh but kind of lackluster, especially the apps and dessert and the Black Forest cake didn’t really have the layer of cherries like it’s supposed to. Still happy to try the place out with my hubby for my birthday dinner. We spent around $150 and left very full and satisfied.
Daniel Purdom: Not really a review (always 5 🌟). Free parking at 1801 Walnut St by the Community America branch and covered garage parking around the corner at Corrigan Station Garage. 1827 Walnut St, Kansas City, MO 64108 for $5
Eunice P: The tartar was very yummy though a bit too salty. The veal schnitzel was dry, overdone, and a bit bland and the condiments and cucumber salad too sour. The beef roulade was like fancy meat loaf and tasted okay. The cabbage was delicious, but, again, a bit on the sour side considering it took up the majority of the plate. The drinks, vibe, and service were fantastic. I would have rated this a 4/5 but one of our party had stomach issues after eating the beef roulade and cabbage. I may give this place another try, but probably not for a while.
Victoria Salinas: Enjoyed a wonderful meal! The food and cocktails were delicious and the service was exceptional.
Peggy Lukken: The food is authentic German fare, freshly made and delicious. As always, the service was on point, with knowledgeable and attentive servers. Casey Berner: One of the best martinis I've ever had
Angela Dvorak: Burger was amazing. Trout croquettes were delicious. Cocktails even better.
Sam Augustin: Food was delicious and the drinks superb! Highly recommend for a unique KC experience!
Nanette R: Perhaps it was an “off night”…. as the other couple we were with mentioned they had dined there before and their first experience had been better. Our reservation had been made one month prior for 7:30 pm on 4/21/23 and we were seated immediately at a four top in the middle of a row of similar tables near the front windows. We asked a few questions about the wine list and the server seemed irritated. My husband ordered a Jameson on the rocks and the pour was minuscule. The appetizer we ordered was FANTASTIC …. Goat cheese tart … and was the best part of the meal. We all ordered the trout and the double smash burger for our entrees. The trout was good and the burgers were adequate…my bottom bun was cold (as though it had recently come from the refrigerator or freezer. ) The service was not good and the gentleman that was taking care of our table seemed irritated the entire evening and rarely stopped by. The strangest part of the evening occurred when the hostess came to our table before our entrees were served and said that we needed to finish up as people with reservations would be arriving ! We told her we also had a reservation and had only been there 45 minutes and she realized her mistake and left. She never returned to apologize for the misunderstanding which should have occurred. All in all it was a disappointing experience. As I stated … perhaps it was an off night for everyone we encountered there….but it was unfortunate. I think I would possibly return for a glass of wine and the goat cheese tart in the bar area but not for another meal.
Rilka Spieler: Some of the best food I’ve ever had.
Susan Weis: Simply beautiful & luxurious, yet somehow rustic decor, and FABULOUS drinks and food. The paito is also a must.
Jake King: Great atmosphere, food and cocktails!
Brandon Dockins: I was very disappointed at the time I was refused service due to my lack of being vaccinated even though I had natural immunity ( which real science shows is ALWAYS better than a vaccine). There was “no science at least not peer reviewed with controls)rather fear driving the hysteria. All world renowned scientist who dared to question were silenced or call quacks. We now know getting and transmitting the virus is not only possible but probable in the vaccinated, as well as mask do little if anything to reduce spread (Minimal research will locate Dr. Fauci’s own study on mask and 1918 Spanish Influenza, as well as his press conferences at beginning of Covid. It is unfortunate that fear gripped (was fanned) and not many questioned (as science does) anything. Wearing a mask until you sit down? The virus doesn’t spread if your sitting? This further separated us all and drove a wedge in an already fractured society. I believe their intentions of denying me entry were good, however misguided. My hope is that in hind sight that lessons were learned so as to not repeat if and when another emergency comes our way. I wish the establishment, the owners, and employees nothing but good , truly.
Gabriel Olsen: My wife and I went for dinner last night and loved it. I hadn't been since pre-covid, so it was great to finally be back. Decor, dishes, glasses, all are interesting and unique, nothing run-of-the-mill or corporate. Service was perfect - attentive and knowledgeable, but not pushy. Gave a GREAT recommendation on one of their negronis, which was delicious. Apps, meal, and dessert were all also delicious. Menu isn't expansive, but I'll take a smaller menu w/ lots of deliciousness over a bunch of so-so options. We will make a point to go back in another few weeks to enjoy the patio once it warms up! Highly recommend.
James Maiden: Fabulous quiet vibe. Dark interior but in the best way. Great service and mocktails.
Jesse Russell: Great cocktails and amazing food.
Lauren Vaughan: My continuous advice… sit at the bar. I had amazing cocktails and great conversation with my bartender. The food looked amazing, however I will have to come back to eat.Limited seating areas, but great atmosphere. I loved the bird glassware. Pricing was worth innovative cocktail recipes.
Nathaniel Williams: This bar has come a long way since it opened. The food is now amazing! We had some appetizers, the mushroom polenta dish and the duck breast. All were quite amazing. Some of the best duck I’ve had in Kansas City. The drinks also have continued to improve! We loved the rotating punch and the flip #4.I feel like the service let’s down the rest of the experience. Also a bit dark of a restaurant in my opinion. I get the moody speakeasy ambience but this restaurant/bar seems confused at what it is trying to be. I hope they continue to improve, the new chef and focused menu, with the drinks could make this place a real powerhouse in KC.
Ms. Lisa: The ambiance was really good. I appreciated that they snuck us in between reservations and was really clear about time, so they people who actually made a reservation wouldn’t have to wait. I was drinking the house gimlet, which was interesting. Didn’t expect it to be Amber in color.Service was good and prompt, everything flowed well.I only gave 3 stars because their plates are tapas, not entrees. Very tiny portions on the trout, lamb, and duck breast… however they were very flavorful. We were looking around and noticed we were the only ones who didn’t order the burger, so maybe that’s all you should get there if you are hungry.I got the Carmel carmelized apple dessert as well, which had feta in it and it was very delicious. I’d go back for just cocktails and/or burger.
S L: Always a great time. The staff are friendly and answer all my questions about the cocktails, which are second to none. The burger and fries are so good I have trouble trying other things.
Haleigh Alls: Damn, that was a fire glizzy!
Greg Chedester: Recently visited on a Sunday night. You can tell there is a passion for craft cocktails. I enjoyed everything they made for me. Nice dark and moody atmosphere. Excited to visit again.
Brittni W.: perfection. The cocktails are my favorite in KC right now.
Austin Moore: Cocktails and French fries were amazing!

Tony Evangelista: Came here for the food and atmosphere and it was absolutely incredible! We tried the hummus(best I’ve ever had), yakitori (also best I’ve ever had), and the chef’s recommendation for the Raviolo. Completely blown away and would recommend this place for either a date or casual bite and drink. Has all the qualities of a unique classy place. The staff is unbelievable as well. The GM greeted and checked in numerous times to ensure we were satisfied. Sarah our server went above and beyond. The bartender Kim also was very kind and helpful.Compliments to the Chef Lindy and the owners for curating this fine establishment in the west bottoms. This area is really cool and I highly recommend checking out.
Melinda Souders: Wow! We had such a fun night tonight at Voltaire. Our dinners were spectacular. The lamb and mahi mahi were so good. We also had the new seasonal salad. It was so good. All of the food was beautiful - the presentation was unreal! True Food artists at work!We also loved the chocolate dessert! We will be back! The vibe in your restaurant is just too good!

Alex Johannigman: Tried Voltaire for date night and was very impressed. Food was delicious, service was friendly, prices were high but reasonable for the quality of food and experience. Can't wait to return in the future for another special occasion.
sarah green: Atmosphere, service and food was excellent! Octopus is the best.
Lauren Vaughan: Another gem in Kansas City. Again, sit at the bar. The happy hour food was phenomenal, great old fashion for $6, and the staff was warm and welcoming. I will be back soon!
Sam Coyle: Second time visiting Voltaire but it was our first time eating here. Voltaire did not disappoint. First off, you can't go wrong with any of their cocktails. I always order a margarita which isn't on the menu but its always so refreshing + not sugary! But my favorite cocktail I have ever had is their espresso martini. It is probably one of my most favorite ones I have ever had.Food? Woah... where do I even begin? We started with a few apps to get us going! We started with the dumplings, mussels and two sides of fries to split between 6 of us. The mussels were my favorite. I'd also like to add that the amount of mussels are very large. Like much larger than you would normally get at a smaller plate type restaurant. Every entrée we ordered was also spectacular. The service was a little on the slow side but the food + cocktails made up for it!
mel kozakiewicz: Great experience at the bar!
Georgia: Fab setting, service and food/drink. Highly recommend
Paige Dryden: We went for happy hour. We had some fries and oysters and a couple drinks. They have a comfortable atmosphere and our server was great!
tiffanie klinac: Love the food and atmosphere. I know they were short-staffed. So it took longer to get food. came right before the rush. It took 15 min to get my drink. It was a canned sour. My friend had a mixed drink and received hers instantly. When it came time for dessert. The server let someone at our table order, And when I tried to point to what I wanted. She grabbed the menu from me. I pulled it back twice before I just let go and said forget it. I also wanted to order another drink. But she ignored me and walked off. My daughter asked me after leaving if I knew her and had done something to her in the past for her to act like that. It was completely confusing. I'd go again but will sit at the bar.

John C: Every plate a memorable experience, every cocktail a work of art. Half the menu gets super affordable at happy hour, but the quality is worth full price so you win no matter when you go. Go with friends and share plates around for a richer experience.
Tom Shoemaker: Happy Hour is awesome, we had the fudgy eggs, mussels, trout, and hummus. All were exceptional.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Steamed Mussels …More
Nicole Shoemaker: Excellent all around. One of the best restaurants in KC.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Sapphic Sphinx: Overpriced tourist trap for Johnson County palates. 12 dollars for a small, subpar cucumber salad. 10 dollars for ricotta on toast. For some perspective, this is the same price as the famed ricotta toast that also includes homemade jam at the Los Angeles restaurant “Sqirl”. Might be worth it to people who have not dined on tapas in other cities. And they respond to negative reviews so defensively, you’d think if they were confident in their product they’d ignore them. Would have given more stars if I hadn’t seen their treatment of dissatisfied customers. There are much worthier and fairly priced restaurants in the city. Fully expect a salty response to follow.
Alexis Ostiguy: We went with a group of 6 and ordered 12+ things off the menu to share. Everything was delicious. Our favorites were the fudgy eggs (I’ve never liked deviled eggs until this dish!), seared tuna and lamb kebabs. We went on a Monday and brought our own wine since there is a no corkage fee. It was a great experience! My only complaint was that it was loud. I think it would be a wonderful place to sit on the patio!
Peter Albert: Great little spot, right off the trolley. I had a delightful, barrel aged Negroni poured by a friendly bartender. He was helpful in selecting the seared tuna and falafel. Both we’re yummy (and I’m picky about my tuna). It was perfect.
Ivo Marevic: The atmosphere and service was pretty good. Our server even fixed some of the bad drinks and food we got.The espresso martini was not great. Most of the drinks honestly were kinda disappointing. Not sure if it's because they were really busy or what. Food was good but everything was the same. Same spices and lots of cilantro in everything that really made things just blah. Who garnishes a ribeye steak with cilantro?Rosemary bread with ricotta was pretty amazing, and olives were great. Steak was good. Smashed potatoes were good. Muscles were good. One thing i love getting at tapas places is octopus which really disappointed me here. Portion was small and it was too chewy and spices were overpowering. Overall, it's an ok place, i just wish for food they were little more diverse with spices so not everything tastes so similar. For the price you are paying, i expected better.
Natalie Winters: Lovely atmosphere, great service and good food! The mock-tail was really tasty and steamed mussels were fresh! The highlight was roasted bronzino.Braised pork belly was bland and Lebanese hummus was ordinary. Overall it was a nice experience but the price is pretty high for portion.Recommended dishes Steamed Mussels …More
Rahul Dedhia: Conveniently located downtown. Great place to dine. Lots of small plate options to select from. Chickpeas fries are one of my favorites and are amazing. It's highly recommended and you must try it if you visit. They have a few vegetarian options as well. Good selection of drinks.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Chickpea Fries …More
Nathan Victor: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Chickpea Fries, Steamed MusselsMore
Gwen Goldfish: Personally thought this place was overrated. Not bad - just overrated. I had the lamb kebab that was ground lamb when I was expecting pieces of lamb and it doesn't specify on the menu. It was set in a sauce which was pretty necessary because the lamb, ( even though ground and mixed with spices) didn't have much flavor. The server was really nice and very helpful but just a bit over the top.I would go again if someone else wanted to go but I wouldn't be in a hurry to try it again myself.
Rebecca Retzler: We went to extra virgin last night for our date night! It was my first time. Caitlin was our server and went above and beyond! She was very nice and came back to the table quickly. She suggested the tequila white wine sangria, that was amazing! The cucumber salad was wonderful! The flavor was great and so beautifully plated. The Roasted Feta was to die for! The way it was made, it felt very light. We also had the fuzzy eggs. Those were so good as well. We also had chicken which was cooked to perfection, it was moist and full of flavor. Everything we had, paired really well together. We will definitely be back!
Robert Kiesling: Excellent food, service and wines but small portions and very pricey ($200+ for four). It was as noisy as most cafeterias making conversation very difficult??Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 2/5 …More
