Michael Schilling: Everyone in Kansas City is so nice, but the employees here are extremely rude. My wife, kids and I came here for a mini vacation and went shopping during our down time. When my wife needed another size dress, the dressing room attendant told us that they don’t do that there and we can get it ourselves. We brushed it off as we thought maybe she was just having a bad day. And then when leaving, holding a pile of things we were going to buy, a different employee told us we needed to walk back down to get the dress that didn’t fit, so they wouldn’t have to. They were so rude and sarcastic for absolutely no reason and, last I checked, h&m isn’t paying us to do their job. Needless to say, we dropped the rest of the pile too and walked out. Terrible customer service. Do better, H&M.

Tamara Smith-Hinchey: went to the Kansas City Store at Country Club Plaza with my biracial daughter. The staff was very disrespectful and staring at her, and following her through the store. They were whispering and looking at her with disgust. My daughter brought it to my attention and I looked up at the ladies. They both stared at me rudely and I looked back with a questioning look. They again looked at my 21 year old with disdain. I loudly stated. “ I guess they do not need our money in here Olivia!” I said this while looking straight at them. We walked to the door and as we were exiting someone asked if they could help us. I replied, “no”. This happened today at approximately 125pm to 130pm. It is very unfortunate to experience this kind of micro-aggression and to be made to feel less than, in one of my most favorite stores that I enjoy. Unfortunately, I was not able to try on the dresses I was eyeing because of racism.Horrible, disappointing experience.

And the dark colored ladies pants that were in the women's section looked men's... Ulgy looking... I love their leather loafers without the tassel.. I get it.. Its summer time...but still they didn't even have summer loafers... This store has changed a lot from back in the day when I ordered from their catalog... I wasn't impressed with one thing I saw in there.. Which is sad because I use to absolutely love their clothes...not so much now😭

This irritates me because I work in the plaza part time at Sur La Table and I make sure I greet everyone even if I'm with someone. Saying "Hi" goes a long way. Jay Jader: I had such high Hope's for this store and it was absolute trash. I do not get how you can be so pretentious with everything and have nothing that looks good for your EXTREMELY HIGH PRICES. Plus we were in the store for 10 mins and not one of the employees came up to us or asked if we needed any help to find anything they were all just ignoring everyone unless they went up to the cash register. We will never shop here. Only good that came out of this was that we got out of the 90° weather.

Kyle Lawson: The store was clean and the selection was pretty good. The reason for the low rating was the very poor customer service. All the young ladies were standing by the registers talking to one another. There was no greeting whatsoever. I was making an exchange and asked one of the associates if she could hold my shorts that I was exchanging while I shopped. You would have thought I was asking her to write an essay. She looked confused and acted as though this was a difficult request. When I went to try on clothes in the fitting room, there were leftover clothes from previous shoppers in just about all the rooms. It seems as though the 4 employees standing at the register talking could have going back to the fitting rooms to clean them up a bit. The customer service definitely needs to be worked on at this location.
Shawn: The store was clean, but of the 4 employees who were working not a single one welcomed me, or asked if I needed assistance. As a former manager for Hollister and M-pack team traveling manager for Abercrombie, I was highly disappointed in this customer service I always go in to spend a couple hundred but when the employees rather text on their phone then assist a customer its a surprise that this store has done so well.The mall location is a 5 stars and everyone from the brand reps in the front, the cash reps working the registers to the managers are always engaging.I will not revisit this location.

Adriana Miranda: I have been a loyal customer for 10 years and I am very disappointed on the service I received today.I had a return, it had been a couple weeks over the 30 day new policy and the associate told me that because of the time the items were not returnable, I asked to speak to a manager, when she showed up, (Chika is her name), she did not introduced herself and simply said "The items are not returnable because is been more than 30 days", she turned around and offer help to somebody else and left me there, didn't look at me or wait for a response, like I was invisible, I had to go around where she was to ask for the store manager's name, she said the name is "bolgena" I asked her to please write down for me, she said "We are not allowed to do that", I grabbed a piece of paper and asked her to spell the name for me, she said "The name is bolgena". and turned around to help the other customer, I was about to loose it so I left and went to another counter to get the store manager's name. Julie at the jewelry counter was amazing, she could tell I was upset and offer to help, she stated they can do a one time exception on the new policy and she did the return for me. Thank you Julie!I want to say, the main reason why I am so upset is not because I could not return the items, it is because how I was treated by CHIKA. She should not be in a manager position if she is unable to show respect for customers, needles to say, to provide customer service.

Marilyn Solsky: This is the second time I have had a bad experience with a return at this store. The first time was several years ago; I had not worn the item, but there was a powder transfer from trying it on and the sales clerk would not accept the item for return. I took it to the Overland Park store and returned it without a problem.Today I had a horrible experience in the store. There were only a few people in the store, but the people ahead of me had a huge order. The clerk, who was new, was doing his absolute best. He deferred a couple of time to his store manager who was only aligning shoes on a shelf; one time he asked her if an employee who was no longer working there could still use her employee discount. The manager came over, engaged the person in conversation, as if she were an old friend, saw that I was waiting and went back to rearranging shoes. The second time she came over I asked if she could help me, but she waited long enough that the kind clerk was finally able to help me. I was incensed by her lack of customer service and after thinking about it, decided I would return the item right then. Because I called her out on her poor customer service she said I had disrespected her, she refused to take back the item and said she would call security. I am not sure she was the one who was disrespected. I admire H and M for trying to recycle clothing, but not enough to tolerate poor customer service or nonresponsive managers.

He then calls the manager to open the drawer and says “wrong change.” , she walks away. (i do not understand why she did not handle the transaction after this point as a retail manager).After she walks away, he tries giving me back $40 and a $1 bill is all I had after he took the $20 from me. I told him, no this is incorrect.My boyfriend steps in, mind you he is deaf so sound is not apparent to him. Tells him he doesnt trust him with the money, please get the manager.The manager steps in and goes “are we yelling?.” I go “no one is yelling.”, her response “please don’t yell at my sales associates.” , mind you- no one was yelling & my boyfriend is deaf holding a dog.I then explain to her what happened, she interrupted me to say “let me talk to my sales associate first.” which then that associate tried to say he gave me the money ($61 which I never got) and then tries to play it like we were trying to get more money when we never got the correct change to begin with.We left with the correct change and a sad place it my heart because I will no longer be shopping here as a plaza resident.I would give 0 stars if I could, this used to be the best place to shop since I was younger. Now it’s gone down hill, need new managers who assist & employees who know how to count accurately + have customer service.

carlo clark: Dressing rooms doesn't have anywhere to sit your own clothes. Dressing rooms have more dust than square footage. I felt dirty after leaving the Dressing rooms.LORD forbid you drop anything on the floor.
Jose Vazquez: Not a bad selection. First floor is women's and then there's an upstairs for men, with a small infant section. As big as the store is you'd expect a greater variety. None the less it's a nice place with great valued clothing.

I tried it on, it didn’t fit, I returned it within the 30 day timeframe and they told me it looked worn so they wouldn’t accept it. *I had folded them because I knew I would be returning them. They don’t have changing rooms, so if I can’t try something on in store, and they won’t accept the return, then I don’t know what I’m expected to do. I liked H&M before, but I will have to find another store. Even though I’m sure they don’t care.

K N: I do not wish to give any stars after my experience at this store. I have came because they had my particular sizes and great pricing for professional reasons; however, after gathering many clothes in order to grow my wardrobe, I have found the dressing room to be closed. What is the purpose to buy any clothes if you are not allowed to try them on before buying them, especially for a customer like me who traveled far to come to this particular store. I walked up to the only sales associate on the production floor who was talking to whom I thought was a customer but quickly realized that they moved out of the way, away from me to catch up on each others lives, I waited patiently and did not think time on the production floor should be spent with personal conversations that last as long as one you would have at a coffee shop with a old friend. Finally the sales associate was noticing that I needed help something and so I proceeded with asking if the dressing room was going to open anytime soon or if I can just go ahead and use it. Ran in to ask the manager and after about 3 minutes, the manager comes out, I ask what I've already asked and was given a hard "no" without any explanation. My answer was "okay" and I proceeded with leaving the clothes at the dressing room area and the store. That associate and Manager interaction was lacking reason and support. The NPS score should be 10% being that it actually looked neat in there 3 hours before closing time. And what is a manager doing hiding in the back when there are so many customers in the store. First impression is important and this was disappointing.
Alexandra Haines: Rude managers, close the fitting rooms 2 hours and 15 minutes early, then stand in the store chatting in a circle instead of assisting customers. Close the store an hour earlier than advertised or promised on website with no signage or notice.

Eric Mozingo: Seemed like a nice store. The only reason I took off a star is they don't really carry clothes I think I would wear. Also some of the shirts look super soft and comfy but then when you feel them they are super scratchy itchy.
