Queer Bar Takeover: Queer Bar Takeover #QBTKC chooses a traditionally straight bar and takes it over on the second Saturday of each month. Shot Stop was a great bar to partner with. Their staff, and DJ were extremely welcoming to our group of 150+ participants with great drink specials and lots of great music to dance the night away. They really know how to party! Thank you Shot Stop for being such an amazing Queer ally and continuing to create a more inclusive world.
Joyce Quaye: Went there with my brother on 11/23/19 bought drink over 60 dollars. Did open tab and after about to check out told the lady am checking out with cash instead . The register open but she told me my card wasn’t changed. Gave her 100 bill and got my change . Check my account Next morning and She did charged my card. Folks y’all need to be careful at the SHOT STOP TERM 2 No phone number to reach out to them. Guess the know what they doing . Got my five star. SMH

Dan Watkins: Julep has great cocktails and an extensive whiskey selection. I have had nothing but good experiences here, and am hopeful that it finds a way to persist in some form.I recommend their Sazerac, Old Fashioned, or Mint Juleps.

Not the type of whiskey bar you would seat down and enjoy the drink and vibe. Maybe try to seat at the bar not at the booth or table. Last night experience was just terrible. I used go here every week before I moved few years ago. I loved this place before and it makes me sad. I really hope they manage this place to improve.
Kaleb Young: Drinks were good but the service definitely left something to be desired. We waited 15 min, in an empty back room, before someone came by to take our order. Then had to wait another 20 min to get the check once our drinks were empty to get the check. We paid a large deposit for a reservation but we’re never told it was going to a charity instead of going to the tab. Which would’ve been fine if we had we been told beforehand but it felt misleading. I’ve had a good time at Julep in the past but recently it seems to have been on a downward trend.
Stephanie Simms: Made a reservation for the Halloween pop up, and it wasn't actually ready. Pretty disappointing that nothing mentioned it wasn't actually ready yet, and we were seated in the regular bar with some decorations on the table. We were seated at 5:45 and it seemed like our server intentionally didn't come by to take drink orders until after happy hour had ended.Drinks were fine. Small, and not particularly exciting. Seemed overpriced for what we received (especially the bar mix). The drink pictured was $26 to serve 2 and it filled those rocks glasses about 1/3. This will teach me not to be sucked in by a gimmick.Otherwise a very nice bar.

Holly Welsh: Beware of hidden fees. Our group of fourteen made a reservation for happy hour at 4:30 on a Wednesday. When we arrived, there were three patrons and a single employee sitting at the bar. We were instructed to sit wherever we would like. We pushed tables together at the far end of the restaurant and enjoyed our cocktails. Apparently, our reservation and our own efforts moving together tables warranted a 10% “coordination fee”. Ridiculous.

Jenny Schwartz: Since I am from out of town, I really wasn't sure what to expect. I went in with high hopes, and I was not disappointed. This is a great hole in the wall bar! Bartenders are amazing, friendly,and fun to chat with! There are a few games, and the drinks are really reasonably priced. There is a cash only policy for payment, and only street parking is available. I definitely recommend stopping at Fat Maxx's Vortex for a spell.

The bartender was SO NICE, the vibe is amazing and quirky, cool and a little spooky, which I love, and was part of the draw to visit. There aren’t many beers to choose from, it’s mostly a cocktail place, but can’t go wrong with a High Life, and I don’t know if it was a special but it was only $3!!! Pool is only .75 a game!!! Loved it here. Bummed to not get to meet, what I read is a legendary woman, the owner, but hope she reads this, and knows how much we enjoyed her place, and the energy there. Heads up *CASH ONLY* but an ATM on site.

Lew's, however, will happily seat you outside where conversations are pretty easy to have.Lew's has better food than any eatery in the small town I moved to from Kansas City. I've never had a bad server at Lew's, and the food is pretty ace. The prices are entirely reasonable.If you can handle it, get yourself a boot of beer (84Oz?) and have a good time. The area is comfortable and the locals are pretty chill. Definitely a great place to drop by for a bite and good company.Parking: Huge parking lot. If you're willing to walk 300', you're pretty much guaranteed a spot.

However, the best part of this place is the SERVICE! Everyone I’ve met here is, plain as day, brilliant in what they do. I’ve had the luck many times over of having Miss Virginia as a server! In the 2 years I’ve known her from here (perhaps more? Has it been longer?), I am always truly blessed when she settles down at my table with a very honest, “Hi, how are ya! They only had QR code menus and it was too dark for my phone to scan it. The layout of the space was not great because the band is right at the entrance so only a couple tables can see the band the rest are too far away. Yes the live music is nice but the aesthetic of the room was not my style and it made it difficult for me to stay and enjoy it.

Tonia Bonavito: Brittney was absolutely amazing! She was handling the bar all by herself during a busy happy hour and still continued to always make sure we needed everything that we needed during a busy time even though her colleague had to leave. Service was amazing

Chris Wilborn: Loved the atmosphere inside and out .Great view of downtown .I have wanted to try Harrys CC for some time as I have a small collection of Country Club and Muehlebach Beer Stuff. We were shopping at Planters Seeds and were choosing between KC Taco and a never eaten at restaraunt . We very much like KC Taco, but Harrys got the win.I was surprised to see Very Little Country Club Beer Stuff visible inside , their logo was pretty much it . We picked a table outside and were immediately greated by a smiling but "short" waitress . ( my described her as disinterested or "put out") . I tried to make light conversation and she would have None of it . I ordered a beer with my sandwich and it never came. I went in to the bar and she was laughing with bartender and (manager?) ( so being " too busy" was not her issue ).One of the two men immediately brought out the beer in a 3.00 extra special NFL Draft cup which we had declined earlier . We asked it be taken off , but she took the itemized bill and I couldnt tell if she did or not.I paid the full bill, but this the first time I have not tipped in many, many years.My wife said that she was not impressed with the food, I was happier than she.
