Cristina Popovic: I have rented the studio for one hour, boudoir session and took around 300 images, 80 really awesome ones. There is great natural light, different furniture available. My favorite was the bohemian chair, fancy couch and red chair. Bathroom and everything else was clean. Elevator available witch was a plus when carrying my heavy light. My client loved the studio. Not a lot of studios can be rented hourly so for me this was great. Becky is amazing to work with and gets back to you quick.

Adam Zeih: I’m am only giving one star because zero isn’t an option. We hired Rebecca to take photos of our wedding in September of 2018. Per our contract she was to be at the ceremony site at 2pm, as we wanted to have photos done prior to our evening ceremony. At 230 day of my wedding we notice she is not there and no one could get ahold of her for over and hour. Finally at 347 pm (we have the texts to prove this) she texts back and says she’s on her way, she had a mix up of her calendar. She does not finally arrive until nearly 5pm, and we had to be finished with photos by 6pm to prepare for the ceremony start. ALL of our photos were very rushed and it is very evident in ALL of the photos. My wife was supposed to get a daddy daughter first look, but due to her not being there these photos were done by family members on their cells phones. I was supposed to get photos with just me and my mom but due to the rush, there is not a single one. When all of this happened the entire wedding party and family made it a point to not be rude or angry with her, but instead be forgiving as we all make mistakes. She stayed till the end of the reception taking photos, however we did not want those photos which is why we had asked her to come earlier. Per the contract we had another photo session that we could use at a later date. Due to the awful experience we had the first time, we no longer wanted to work with her again. Now that everything is said and done, we emailed her saying we would like a refund as she broke the contract causing so many of our important moments to be missed, and we no longer wanted the second photo session. She in no way attempted to make it right by any means, she refused to give any money back, and didn’t even apologize. Instead she said because we were so nice to her, and because she stayed later at the reception, she thought everything was fine...We could not be more disappointed with her service, and the kind of person Rebecca is. Because of her we lost some if the most important memories of our lives, and she showed no remorse. As wedding season approaches, I would STRONGLY suggest you stay far away from Rebecca Lassiter.

She guides the child basically, but then allows the child to be herself to capture truly wonderful photos. Also impressive is her quick turnaround for edits. We are already looking forward to next year.

Amanda Olson: Rebecca is our favorite Kansas City photographer by far! Her photos always turn out better than I imagine, and she keeps the sessions fun! Our toddler doesn't love photos but she somehow always manages to capture his smile. We've done three sessions with her so far and have loved them all!

So many photographers charge professional prices but don't even have professional space to accommodate so that was a must for me.Love her!

Parking not sure where that is so you might want to ask the owners and let your guests know.There is a big parking lot in front but you pay. Rate is not bad but do it through text cause machine don't work when trying to pay.I think the stairs in the middle take up to much space. It's okay for small parties.

Qui Marie: My brother who is one of the biggest promoters in Kansas City was supposed to have a party there that he been planning with this venue since last year for April of this year. Due to covid the party was pushed back to August 1, 2020 which both owners agreed on that date will be fine. A couple of days before the party, the owner told my brother that he either had to cancelled with no money back or 200 people can be allowed in the building after they knew that 600 tickets were already sold since last year! $6000 that the owners are trying to keep and they knew the expensives of $10000 of food and beverages that came out both my brother and his chef pockets! Plus once they found out that majority of the guests are African Americans, that's when the owner's wife started to act funny! How are you gonna tell someone who been planning for a whole year and plus agreed on postponing the date of the party to only give them those pathetic options 3 days before the most popular event in Kansas City?!?! Bad business!! So my brother had to hurry up to switch venues at very last minute! Lawsuit! Lawsuit! Don't think for a second that you're keeping that $6000! We getting that money back with interest for wasting our time! Frauds!

David Kroeger: Event space is industrial and edgy. It was also dirty and in disrepair. Electrical issues caused sound problems. The catering kitchen is spartan. Can't really recommend it.

lauren McNeely: The owners of the firestone building absolutely ruined what was supposed to be the best day of my life!! First let me start off by saying that Nicholas was the absolute rudest!!!!!!!! Very nasty man. When it was time for my ceremony to begin there was a water leak right where the wedding party was going to stand. The water damaged the DJs microphone and one of the speakers! The bathrooms flooded and were absolutely filthy!!! Look at the pictures posted on yelp! There were ceiling particles falling on my guests as well. All of this delayed my wedding by an hour and a half, and they also had another wedding going on the floor above us which was not mentioned! The elevators barely worked. when it was time for my reception we had to make due with ONE speaker and no microphone for announcements. The kitchen was FILTHY and not one clean dish in sight!!! The owners Christina and Nicholas told one of theri workers to come hand was the dishes DURING my reception of 250+ guests, which delayed my reception an hour and a half. We did not eat dinner until 9:30! The venue was hot and they refused to change the thermostat! DO NOT!!!! AND I MEAN DO NOT BOOK THEM FOR ANY EVENT!!!!!!! EVER!!!!!!!!

4 MG McNeely: This place shouldn’t even be in business. The air didn’t work on the first two floors and it was a 90 degree day. There was water leaking from the ceiling directly over where the bridesmaids were to stand. The wedding was delayed for over an hour because they said they would fix it and NEVER did. Because of that delay, we weren’t able to take our rooftop pics, because it was occupied by another wedding party now. Two weddings full of people and ONE, SLOW elevator. To top it all off, after we were finally rejoining the reception on the bottom floor for dinner, we find out they didn’t have any clean plates ready! It was another hour before we got them. This place was disgusting and unkept. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Keyana Anderson: This place was so dirty! It was disgusting to cater food out of this venue. Restrooms had a horrible smell and were unclean. One of the stalls started flooding during the event and no worker or person in charge could be found to contain the issue. The kitchen OMG I can't express how dirty the kitchen was. My crew of workers couldn't believe how disgusting the kitchen was left at the start of the event. It seemed like the workers didn't clean up from the night before. Kitchen glasses and plates are not clean. There was lipstick left on a few of glasses and rubbed off with a towel. I can't believe this venue is still open for business! I wouldn't dare drink or eat anything coming from inside of this place! It's a roach infested business that NEEDS to be shut down ASAP! The rooftop view isn't worth much when the elevators are jammed because they book several events on each of the 8 floors. Literally only one elevator for the entire place!

Travis Fennel: This building is not very well taken care of. The elevator didn't work for much of the night and the stairs were disgusting. The rooftop view is nice though.

Dan Craig: No elevators, double booked the space with another wedding, 8 floors up and had to carry elderly, caterer refused They owe us our money back NO ELEVATORS AT ALL. This place is a fire hazard and a death trap waiting to happen.

Julie Mango: The photo session itself was ok. However the quality of the photos were really basic. I could have gotten better quality just using my iPhone. It doesn’t seem like much effort was put into editing them. The collection process is extremely tedious and complicated. Definitely not worth $250. And this is only for 2 digital photos and two prints. Bare in mind that you cannot share the prints with anyone. Meaning you cannot take a photo of the prints and send to your family and celebrate with them. Really unhappy I chose this business.

Gabrielle Wilson: Purchased a $75 creative fee at AE photography. At multiple points in time she mentioned we would take photos at her studio. Me and my family spent a lot of time and money getting ready for this photoshoot. Then we drove across city lines in order to meet her at her studio. Robyn didn’t bother to show and when called she wanted us to take photos in the park in 90 degree weather. She had an appalling attitude for someone to claim they are professional. She claimed it was due to covid- 19 yet she had a photoshoot in April with a baby during the thick of covid-19 and her site says she is open.

She provides very high quality images and manages to capture all the little “real life”, candid moments you hope for. Jasmine Langford: We recently had a maternity shoot with Helen and it was so quick and stress free. I met Helen at the KC Baby Fair and sent her a session request through her website a few weeks later. She responds very quickly -- this was great since we were trying to schedule a session immediately. The process from scheduling to the day of the photo session was so easy! We did most of everything through email or her website and she had maternity dresses that I was able to choose from onsite. The session was fast, which worked for us because we didn't want to spend hours doing a photoshoot when there was still a list of baby-prepping tasks we needed to accomplish. She definitely knew what she was doing and did not waste time in getting us into different poses. After the shoot, we got to come back to the studio a week later and pick out our photos. She had color and black and white options for us to view (actually printed and set up for viewing, not just digital). Helen was very personable and professional. We'll definitely be back for more photos after the baby arrives!
