My parents, 5 adult siblings, and a couple spouses - and EVERYONE loved the photos. Getting everyone to agree and LIKE something is quite a feat but Robin was phenomenal. She caught our personalities and family dynamic perfectly and made us all look great!So naturally, for my parents' 50th anniversary last month, we asked Robin to take new family photos and again, she did not disappoint! She chose a beautiful, close location and the photos turned out gorgeous! Everyone loves them and we are so thrilled to have been able to book Robin again this time.We literally cannot recommend AE Photography enough!

Julie Mango: The photo session itself was ok. However the quality of the photos were really basic. I could have gotten better quality just using my iPhone. It doesn’t seem like much effort was put into editing them. The collection process is extremely tedious and complicated. Definitely not worth $250. And this is only for 2 digital photos and two prints. Bare in mind that you cannot share the prints with anyone. Meaning you cannot take a photo of the prints and send to your family and celebrate with them. Really unhappy I chose this business.

And when the company that took my daughter's Quinceañera photo shoot, gave me my digital copies and told me they would give me a release, but no longer accepts orders for prints, Robin accepted the release and allowed me to put an order in for those as well!

Gabrielle Wilson: Purchased a $75 creative fee at AE photography. At multiple points in time she mentioned we would take photos at her studio. Me and my family spent a lot of time and money getting ready for this photoshoot. Then we drove across city lines in order to meet her at her studio. Robyn didn’t bother to show and when called she wanted us to take photos in the park in 90 degree weather. She had an appalling attitude for someone to claim they are professional. She claimed it was due to covid- 19 yet she had a photoshoot in April with a baby during the thick of covid-19 and her site says she is open.

She provides very high quality images and manages to capture all the little “real life”, candid moments you hope for. Practically they were super easy to work with and very flexible with our busy schedules and made it a point to touch base before our engagement session and our wedding day to make detailed timelines and plans and coordinated directly with our videographer and the venue to make sure everyone was on the same page. We had an intercultural wedding and a lot of different things planned for our wedding day and they worked hard to capture it all without getting overwhelmed or overwhelming us. They went above and beyond to make the most of every moment we shared together that day. I actually have video footage of them moving a couch that we rented off of the dance floor to prepare for our first dance! If that’s not service I don’t know what is! Definitely worth every penny!

You may have already seen it on their website.Cons: If you want your wedding picture to look like those on the website, you will end up paying more than the wedding package price. So ask a lot of questions before you sign the contract! We all know that weddings are not cheap and Photos Edge will do everything to squeeze each dollar out of your pocket.The one thing that upset me more than the money was their attitude. I was not expecting it at all, as they came off as a friendly and sweet couple in the beginning. But on our wedding day, they had a disagreement/verbal fight with each other while they were taking our pictures. This was very awkward and embarrassing for not just us, but our wedding party and families. We were very disappointed with their display of immaturity and lack of professionalism. Additionally, further communication done after the payment was short and rude.

Hannah Bruno: Kara took my maternity photos for me and they turned out BEAUTIFUL!!! Worth every penny. The only reason I’m giving 3 stars instead of 5 is bc I scheduled my session about 2 months in advance, I had never got professional photos done before so I wasn’t sure how the whole process worked... the whole process before the shoot was extremely stressful.. paid invoices had gotten messed up, I got an email saying my session was canceled, I had to contact her a handful of times bc I kept thinking something went wrong bc of all of the emails I was being sent. I was also told that I would get a 10 day and 2 day confirmation to be reminded of my shoot.. I didn’t get either, which made me extremely nervous bc I was worried my shoot was canceled. Finally, I had to contact her to confirm my shoot! I honestly felt like I was being annoying BUT I’m about to drop a whole lot of money on an important photo shoot.. so do you blame me?? The day of the shoot I was 30 mins early and she was 10 min late.. not a big deal, but still slightly irritating. Kara was very good at making us feel comfortable and again, the photos turned out great. After the shoot was over and we said our good byes we got our photos within 2 weeks which was the correct time frame. However, I did email a question regarding the photos on how I could print them... no response. Also, on her social media accounts she post tons of her sessions... maybe she didn’t like ours bc she had never posted a photo. Great photos, but the communication part could use some work!

My wife and I had the privilege of teaming up with Kara as the lead photographer for our wedding and she was amazing to work with from start to finish. She made the entire experience so fun and the least stressful it could possibly be. We also booked an engagement photo shoot with her (HIGHLY recommend doing this, by the way!) and I had no idea it was going to be as fun as it turned out to be! AND, we are so thankful we did it because we love the photos as much as we love the ones from our wedding - which were INCREDIBLE! We also purchased a wedding photo album from her and due to a delay in manufacturing (which was beyond her control), she even went above and beyond and gave us a gift to "apologize" for something that wasn't even her fault! Kara is just simply amazing at what she does; you can tell she truly cares about her couples and has a deep passion for her work. We cannot say enough good things about Kara and please, if you're deciding between photographers, GO WITH KARA!

Most places to rent from in the area are double her prices, so I was so pleased to have found it. The decor and tidiness of the studio was above and beyond what I was expecting. My clients were incredibly pleased. I would definitely rent from her over and over again.

She is also a rockstar photographer and if you hire her (which you should) there is NO CHANCE you will be even remotely disappointed. Her studio is also very well maintained, clean, and very welcoming. KCM Studios is the real deal. ❤

Cristina Popovic: I have rented the studio for one hour, boudoir session and took around 300 images, 80 really awesome ones. There is great natural light, different furniture available. My favorite was the bohemian chair, fancy couch and red chair. Bathroom and everything else was clean. Elevator available witch was a plus when carrying my heavy light. My client loved the studio. Not a lot of studios can be rented hourly so for me this was great. Becky is amazing to work with and gets back to you quick.

Adam Zeih: I’m am only giving one star because zero isn’t an option. We hired Rebecca to take photos of our wedding in September of 2018. Per our contract she was to be at the ceremony site at 2pm, as we wanted to have photos done prior to our evening ceremony. At 230 day of my wedding we notice she is not there and no one could get ahold of her for over and hour. Finally at 347 pm (we have the texts to prove this) she texts back and says she’s on her way, she had a mix up of her calendar. She does not finally arrive until nearly 5pm, and we had to be finished with photos by 6pm to prepare for the ceremony start. ALL of our photos were very rushed and it is very evident in ALL of the photos. My wife was supposed to get a daddy daughter first look, but due to her not being there these photos were done by family members on their cells phones. I was supposed to get photos with just me and my mom but due to the rush, there is not a single one. When all of this happened the entire wedding party and family made it a point to not be rude or angry with her, but instead be forgiving as we all make mistakes. She stayed till the end of the reception taking photos, however we did not want those photos which is why we had asked her to come earlier. Per the contract we had another photo session that we could use at a later date. Due to the awful experience we had the first time, we no longer wanted to work with her again. Now that everything is said and done, we emailed her saying we would like a refund as she broke the contract causing so many of our important moments to be missed, and we no longer wanted the second photo session. She in no way attempted to make it right by any means, she refused to give any money back, and didn’t even apologize. Instead she said because we were so nice to her, and because she stayed later at the reception, she thought everything was fine...We could not be more disappointed with her service, and the kind of person Rebecca is. Because of her we lost some if the most important memories of our lives, and she showed no remorse. As wedding season approaches, I would STRONGLY suggest you stay far away from Rebecca Lassiter.

Nikki DeSimone: Rebecca has done our child's Easter photos for the past 2 years. She provides a wonderful Easter mini session that seems a lot more than "mini." Her prices are reasonable and the quality is impeccable. She has fresh ideas and quality sets. She guides the child basically, but then allows the child to be herself to capture truly wonderful photos. Also impressive is her quick turnaround for edits. We are already looking forward to next year.

Amanda Olson: Rebecca is our favorite Kansas City photographer by far! Her photos always turn out better than I imagine, and she keeps the sessions fun! Our toddler doesn't love photos but she somehow always manages to capture his smile. We've done three sessions with her so far and have loved them all!

Nicole Lindsey: Rebecca is like family, at this point. She has taken family maternity pictures, newborn and one year for us and our baby girl. She doesn't rush our sessions so that everyone is comfortable and at ease. I can barely express my happiness in finding her. I love that she will meet you anywhere for images specific to your wants and I love that she has great studio space, as well. So many photographers charge professional prices but don't even have professional space to accommodate so that was a must for me.Love her!
