Penguin Park: what do users think?
Addie C: Love the place so much but one thing is, the graffiti is a big problem especially because it's everywhere!!!
Linda Stayton: Great unique park for various aged kids. There's also a long, paved looping path behind it. It goes around a fishing pond with park benches along the way.
Angela young: This park is very popular. It's one of the busiest in the kc northland. Kids live it.Playground: My son says he likes penguin park because it's easy to make friends there. My daughter likes the climbing set.Restrooms: They have flush toilets. :)Dog-friendliness: There's a nice paved walking trail that's over a mile long.Picnic area: There are covered picnic tables and tables in full sun.
Anthony Reyes: Nice park and different vs. the other parks you find in the area. Would recommend going in the morning as it get overwhelming packed towards the afternoon.
Alex Northrup: Dirty. Too busy. Individuals with drug problems.
Sleep: Wish they had more shady areas but it's fun for the kids
Diana Shores: Grandkids enjoyed the park!
Kathrine Daniels: Awesome 😎
Michelle Woods: Little ones love this place.. lots of updates equipment
Connie Wagenknecht: My little ones love Penguin Park. There are areas for toddlers and older children. There is a large covered area with tables that is very popular for birthday parties. Several grills are situated around it. There are restrooms and water fountains.
S. Lacombe: Clean
Vashel Williams: My boys love this park
jim lewis: So much fun!
Stephen Coleman: It's trippy to be in a park, with your granddaughters that you first visited, before their father was born! PEACE
KGORE: BUSY!
Karin Ellis: Dog-friendliness: Trails are paved and lighted at night. Waste bags are provided in a few places along the path.
Ila Moore: Kids had a good time. I used to play here when I was a little kid
Leah Buenneke: My 3.5 yo loved this park! Only 4 stars because of the parking lot set up, its way too open & close to the park. If you have a runner kid, be careful
Outback: When I was a kid growing up in KC my brother and I would play at this park. Such a great surprise to see that it is still there.
Nicole Esquino: Nice park with a good variety of play equipment. Our 5 year old was fascinated by the giant animals. Our dogs enjoyed walking the trail that is behind the park. Recommend.
Daphne Elizabeth: A super fun park for kids! Probably the biggest playground in the area!

Green Roof Park: what do users think?
ZumbAlli: Great for dog owners but nothing super special for tourists to visit.
Michael Schultz: This is a great, green, relaxing park space in the heart of downtown. It's peaceful with trees, benches, and "natural prairie" area. It is pet friendly and they can be in either of the areas, a small'ish fenced in area or the overall park. Cleaning up after your pet is required as well as courteous. Cosentino's downtown market is downstairs so you can get food and beverages. OneLife gym is also in the same building.
TormentDubz EDM: Great place to drink a coffee from Cozzy's. The walls are now secured so no more dogs falling.
Jeff J: Was locked today at 8:30 pm when it is normally open. No idea why. Hopefully this isn't a trend.
Chris Daley: My dog loves running around , and meeting other dogs!
Mirena Briggs: Such a great hidden gem. Grab lunch at Cosentino's then head up for a different perspective on the city. Plenty of seating, plants, birds and it's ready to forget you're on a roof.
Celeste: Green Roof Park is a quiet little get-away in downtown KC. It is accessed by the elevator you use for Cosentino's grocery and the parking garage it's attached it. An artist commissioned to turn this roof into a park. It's great. I think you can have little concert there but I've only gone there to nibble on my lunch and it is lovely. There are only a few benches so it's ideal if you have a little blanket.
Roderick Sherrill: I loved this roof top park. We stopped by cosentino market downtown. When you exit the market towards the garage you turn left and and take the elevator to the 6th floor. We took our food from the market and had a little picnic. We took some great pictures. It was a lot of fun. The bathrooms were locked and that wasn't good. Otherwise it would have got 5 stars.
Jeremy Gibbs: Nice little place to sit and read a book!
Troy Norris: One of my favorite spots to come and enjoy the city. A quiet meditative oasis. The only thing that ruins it occasionally are inconsiderate dog owners who let their dogs run off leash all the time that will come and bark at you. There’s even an off leash area for them and signs that say you’ll be fined for having a dog off leash up there outside of that area.Personally I’d like to see it made a no dogs allowed area so people could use the grass and the landscaping would be in better shape. Considering how many dog parks there are around downtown that are easy for people to get to, we don’t really need one of a roof.
Kyle Gould: Great park with scenic urban views. It's tucked away on top of a parking garage and most people don't know it's there so it can be quite relaxing. One caveat: The park displays "leash required" for dogs signs, but there are a few people that feel as though they are above the law and disobey the signs. This unfortunately can result in death should the dog jump a wall that leads to a 5 story fall.
Scott Murdock: If dog owners were responsible and kept their dogs on-leash until the dogs are inside the designated off-leash area, then no dogs would fall to their deaths. There are multiple signs indicating that leashes are required. Just because you see morons disobeying the rules doesn't mean there aren't rules.
Tristan Fisher: I feel like it's gonna take a human to fall and die, before anyone takes action.
Cody Merrick: New to KC, glad I found this. As for dogs, it legit says leash required, so maybe dog owners should be more concerned about letting a dog roam leashless on a rooftop garden.
BGD: Don't take your dog here.
Sally Schuett: Something is seriously wrong when I see a dog tragically fall from the rooftop dog park to the sidewalk in front of me and die. I also found a news piece from 2017 reporting another dog fell and died. The city needs to take action and have a better barrier to prevent this from happening again before a another dog or person is harmed! I had to leave at least 1 star to write the review.
Libby Schuett: Witnessed a dog fall to his death on 07/21/19. If I could give negative stars I would. I will be holding this park responsible to make serious safety changes or to close down for the safety of all the dogs. Please do not put your dog at risk of death by bringing them here.
Senjuti Mallik: Awesome place. No disturbance. No tickets needed. Free of cost . Any one can visit to get a rooftop view of the downtown area. Benches are available. Tranquil place. Can spend some quality time alone or you can visit with your dog too.tram line and trams can be viewd from the top which is so nice to watch. Sorrounded by multistoreyed buildings, this place is a must visit.I will also suggest to visit the rooftop of kansas city public library which is situated on the top floor of the library which is more or less in the same area. That one is also a rooftop view.
E. Renee: Nice little park on the roof top with a great view of the Power and Light district. To get here take either the stairs or elevator from the parking garage and go up to the top level. Open dawn til dusk and dogs are allowed if leashed. There are restrooms too.
Luke Chang: It’s a nice place to stop by, relax a little, and take a short break from the busy city life. I would recommend checking this out if you haven’t already. Take a short 5-10 minutes break and be back on your way.

Kansas City Zoo: what do users think?
Elizabeth Davis: We love the zoo. The penguins and the stingray's are our favorite. Lots of indoor places to cool off. Plus the boat is up and running. It is such a cool experience!Visited on Weekday Wait time 10–30 min Reservation recommended Yes Price for adult entry $11–15 …More
Vince Benedetto: I appreciate all the work the staff put into taking care of all the critters!!Had a great experience, been upwards of 15 years since I visited and overall enjoyable. This time gap gives me an interesting perspective now, after so many years of projects and upgrades. Knowing there's tons of money being pumped into the zoo overall helps my feelings, but still feel the need to express thisI was tremendously under-impressed by the lack of relatively recent monies and updates put into the whole North sector of the Zoo. All the old cat/bear cages are great ideas for reuse, free and easy to throw smaller mnkeys, cats and birds in there. But it's 90% identical to my childhood in the 90's and I left that area disappointed. Felt like they were all relegated to that area, while the spotlight shines on the more popular animals.

Matt Tessier: I hate to leave a three star review. It’s an impressive zoo, and we saw some cool things, but the ride situation is out of control. It seems like everything is a paid “add-on” once you get inside after having paid a high admission price. The train ride was probably 100 yards and the “tram ride” takes you like 150 ft, and after you pay for that, you find out it’s not round trip! Then the sky ride is extra money…then the carousel is extra money….then the boat ride is extra money…then feeding the stingrays is extra money. Felt extorted once inside. Very sad to leave such a review for my wife’s childhood zoo, because there are some good memories there, but the ride situation is unfortunate

Kent Boydstun II: An ok zoo, no what I would expect for a major metropolitan area. Would highly recommend getting the bands, helps avoid paying for the trams, carousel and other things. Be prepared for high cost food. Would recommend bring a lunch as they have plenty of picnic tables to have lunch at.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes Price for adult entry $21–30 …More
Alexis Donnelly: First thing I noticed walking in this zoo was trash in the turtle pond. Was a bit unsettling. There was a lot more than I would have liked to see. Most animals looked unhappy. My biggest pet peeve was the straws they give you for the slushies. Someone in corporate really needs to know about that. The tiny straws are not appropriate for large slushies at all. The guy working the ski-lift could use an attitude change. Soley giving 4 stars based off of memories with family. Seriously though the straw thing was a visible problem for everyone who had one.

Dagg Park: what do users think?
Amber Jackson: The perfect place to visit if you have kids. The age range is easily 6 months to 15 years old. The splash pad areas are great and each area allows for different levels of water comfort. The same applies to the different areas where the playgrounds are. There is plenty to do and explore.
Courtney Barnard: Great place to bring your kids and have their birthday partiesPlayground: Dry playground and splash park! They even have smaller areas for smaller childrenRestrooms: Family and male and female restroomsPicnic area: Shelters you can reserve for parties and other smaller ones to sit and eat at
Karen Vice: Lots of water stuff for the kids. Great playground. Smells awful though
Christina Warnes: We love Dagg Park, especially the splash pad! It’s always a good time had by all! My only complaint would be that the bathrooms are kind of gross sometimes.
Heidi Gordon: Dagg Park is a great splash pad/playground with features for all ages. It always seems very clean and I've never had an issue with parking. I think that more shade coverage for onlooking parents would be ide and maybe a few more picnic tables, but aside from that, it's a great place to spend a summer afternoon with the kids!
Mark Martin: Good location across the Y. Police is visible in the area during our visit. The entire parcel is fenced in order to keep kids in the park. Verg good nearby parking options.Playground: Spaces for 5 to 12 year olds, infant and toddlers have options to play.Restrooms: Male and Female bathroom that serve as tornado sheltersPicnic area: Lots of grass area and big maple tree to provide shade
Veronica Bolton: This is our favorite park to stay out all summer. We love how there’s a splash park. We love how there’s several places to sit and eat with Shade. I like how the park is pretty much gated. There’s a few entrances, but for the most part it’s gated and I like the offstreet parking all around I like how there is also a bathroom. I also like how there is a Dairy Queen across the street to get some ice cream. I definitely recommend coming to this park during the summer is tons of fun. :)
craig monks: Never been
Erin Naughton: Great spot directly across from NKC PD and the kids just play! Well maintained and taken care of!
Carolyn Arney: Great park for kids. In the summer the water park is open.
kristen weitnauer: It's an ok park. Not a whole lot to do there.
Brenda Judd: Restrooms: Clean
Dominique Weismiller: The park is very clean and green. There's a very nice splash park, plus good equipment. There are emergency tools next to the family restroom, like an emergency telephone and a first-aid kit. The library is next door and the police station is across the street. There are a few restaurants within walking distance.
Tonia Samples: Beautiful park, great for kids fall, spring and summer. They have a cute wet playground and dry playground. My lil niece loved this park however sadly we lost her in a freak accident. 😢 Baby Nova was her name and There is now a green Memorial Bench in the park in honor of her Memory.Playground: Play ground is excellentPicnic area: Very nice for family get togethers.
Debra Murphy: Attended a child's birthday party here. It is so nice and fenced even at the gated entrance. Soft cushy playground so they can't get hurt too bad and plenty of water play all over. Your kids will love it. They make sure that any previous reserved areas trash cans are removed and fresh put in for your party. You can go there at any time, no reservations are required if you just need to get the kids out for some outdoor fun.
Eliza Lorino: Definitely worth the the trip
Charlie: Kids have fun!
Michael Dillon: Family fun
Mallory McCoy: We love going here in the summer! Safe and fun!
Tina Bowlin: Love it here
The Location: The spray park was nice for my two littles but the park with the slide and swings are more so for older kids. It's a pretty park and my family loved it.

Diane Yzar: Fun place for the entire family. We arrived soon after a thunderstorm. Many rides were shut down for about an hour. Many people were kept away due to recent rains. That kept lines short and more enjoyable for us.
Riley Lyons: Wow.... What a terrible amusement park. Cedar Fair really just takes your money and doesn't care if you have fun or if the rides are safe. Some of the rides are incrediblely rough and ride operators barley check safety belts and lap bars. My wife's seat belt wasn't checked on the timberwolf. A ride that killed someone in the 90's. Also the Mamba was so rough on the return it hurt my back. Bad enough I'm still dealing with pain almost two weeks later. This park has multiple world themes much like Epcot but a rinky dink version. Theming was sparse and only visual employees were just there to take money and push buttons. Several rides were down throughout the day. The food was chicken fingers and burgers at every vendor. Or you can pay 4x the regular price for panda Express or the parks version of Chipotle. Overall I'm never returning to this park.Price for entry: $65.00
Karl Cochran: Visited on WeekdayMore
Ryan Murphy: Not a great experience. 2023 WOF is not the same as 1990 WOF. Parking is a ridiculously $30. Half the rides were broken. The shops and games are expensive and seriously lacking. Basic carnival vibe. The bigger roller coasters were great but not enough of them due to 60% of rides being out of order. Don’t waste your money.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes Price for adult entry $31+ …More

The hours of operation got cut down along with half of their food vendors. No more turkey legs, nachos, or churros. Basically chicken strips or pizza are your choices. ☹️ Half of their rides and water features are closed as well. No more aqua obsticale course or Monsoon either. One good thing to note is they added a killer pot roast to the menu at sand dune diner.

Viridiana Vazquez: Kids have fun here
jae reynolds: I didn't see this swing there
Daniel Ukoko: Chill
J Williams: Picnic area: Very nice spot to chill and bring a bite 🍕🍟🍔
Yessie Hernandez: wanted to explore a new park to eat my lunch at, and i came across this one. It was very quiet and i got to see a lot of cute dogs and some normal looking kids. the stairs to the left of the park are very steep so proceed with caution. However it is great to throw ice cubes down. The cave to the right of the park is very eerie and dark, but i like the mystery that comes with it. Lastly, i saw a squirrel get knocked out with a fruit, it was the best park ive ever been to.
S Huff: I go there for Kansas City dodgeball club on almost every Sunday.Restrooms: There is no restrooms.
Matthew Kuba: Good park to hang out
Feature Creatures: WILD!
Mike Parker: Good stuff
Brett “Stretch” Slater: Great park in the middle of town. Very scenic and well cared for.
Ben Zabel: Best park in kc great trails
Rome Conrad: Great Park
Gary Franklin: That was a second family gathering at this establishment.
Crystal Colleen: It’s a nice park! There is a long sidewalk for jogging or walking. I only saw one trail that went into the trees. I would like more nature trails on a dirt path, but seeing that it is in the city I can’t complain. There is an impressive play ground. It looks intimidating as someone who is afraid of heights. Will good super vision, this would be a good place to take children who enjoy climbing.
Jose Luis Ayala: A nice, relaxed, refreshing & quiet space not far from downtown.
Keith Finley: I like the trees and walkways
Drea Stevenin: Roanoke park is a little treasure off of 38th and Wyoming. The park offers tennis, picnic tables, walking trails, and a jungle gym. For the truly adventurous there are some small places to climb. I don't recommend going to this park after dark. Unfortunately homeless people often sleep there and if you encounter them it can be dangerous or annoying at the very least. If you follow the brick road just to the east of the park then you will find a zip line to the north. The best time to go April through September during the day. If you are just arriving in Kansas City and have moved here, be sure and check out the community center just to the east of the park. The community center offers a variety of classes that may interest you.
Gregory Allen: We had a LOT of fun there. Lol
Kim Sutton: Absolutely beautiful park!!
Arsalaan Aziz: Good for tennis 🎾 and have official pickleball lines 💯A nice winding sidewalk, and a large open field for children's baseball ⚾ or kickball
Karen Workman: Used to walk my dog there every day. After a long day at KU I went to Sunfresh and got some fresh fruit salad and enjoyed my lunch picknic on a flat rock under a shade tree. I love this park. I used to go to the community center that was my designated place to vote.
