NWL Wiffle Ball: One of our favorite parts of summer was being able to go out and play wiffle ball with friends here at their incredible miniature baseball field, which mind you is PERFECTLY FINE for play… however YMCA does not think that is the case. Outside of one puddle on the field, the YMCA staff decided to lock up the baseball field and kick us out for using a field at a public park/complex. Not sure if they thought the puddle was a fire hazard or if they thought a kid was somehow gonna drown in it or what, but for no reason should “Mark Teahen” field, as they call it, be locked or restricted when not in use. No signage to indicate either. Rather, we were approached by a woman who was rather rude about us using the field, which has been open to the public for as long as I can remember. I will not be returning. Unless you like getting yelled at for using a public recreational facility, I do not recommend bringing your kids to the YMCA Challenger Complex, a *public* park, that you are not allowed to even use anymore!

I have visited four other MLB parks and this park is by far the number 1 park as far as having the best views when your seats are by the dugouts. It just has an overall more friendly environment and friendly atmosphere. I am an extrovert and more so when I have a few cold ones and everyone loves to interact and talk smack!! Emma Ishmael: I've been going to games here for 10-12 years, 6 of those with a baby under 2. Finally visited the mother's room this trip and wish I would've in the past. Air conditioning and rocking chairs for mom's who need to feed their babies!The kid's outfield experience is nice. Free playground and they added a splash pad. However, adding some sort of shade structure over the playground would be a good idea. It was too hot on the slides. There are also activities you can pay $2 each.Love that they let you bring unopened water or sports drink in, as well as food! Makes it much more affordable for families.

Byron Bruce: I've been coming to the K since i could walk. I don't remember the stadium crew being impolite or unwelcoming per se. But this time, they were all so very welcoming. Every employee i came across it seemed. Everyone said hello or greeted me. Even the usually apathetic food vendors were much nicer than I remembered. Brought my father for Father's Day, and it was a wonderful experience. And to top it off, the Royals came back and won in stunning fashion!
Tim Reeb: It's the K. I mean, come on. Easily one of the best looking MLB stadiums. It's beautiful.
