Swope Dog Park: what do users think?
Nicki Morrow: Great park! Well maintained.
Dave Young: Dog needed a nature break
Brett Gamso: Good dogs and good dog owners
Daniel A: I’ve had good experiences here i’ve only had 1 bad experience when someone brought their obviously little dog in the big dog park and when their dog was being submissive to the bigger dogs they got scared
David LaRue: Great place to stop for a quick walk between appointments
Meghan Robinson: Love the fenced in smaller area for my Bailey who doesn't like other dogs..
L Cotton: I love that there is a trail to walk. ☺️
Levi Crane: Nice park. Nice walking/hiking trail around the edge for some exercise. I have been here twice during car breakins. So keep no valuables in ur car. Still recommend. But it’s not quite great yet. Maybe parking lot lights and facilities for the humans to use
Shana Dearing: I am gonna have to say it, the best off leash dog park I have been to yet.
Sandeep Dronavalli: Really nice park during the day, but 0 visibility at night time.
Cody Eggleston: Small in comparison of Lenexa but nice park
Alex johansen: Having the open area and trees is great! Cpl places along the edges could allow a jumpy dog to cross a fence into the back areas tho so be careful! Nice to also have a low key fenced area for dogs that don't need the trees and hills, easy for people who can't go chasing their dog in tougher areas.
Kristen Brown: Great dog park! Lots of room to roam and a natural walking path through lots of shady trees. They have a water spiket in the summer time.Dog-friendliness: Great place to walk around with your dog. Lots of other friendly dogs and people.
Mike Radabaugh: Good safe place to exercise a dog off leash in a well maintained fenced area. With hills and objects for the dogs to play on. There are trails around that take you to Blue River under Gregory Blvd. The bridge is old architecture as bridges go.
John LaRoe: Update:Great Park, but ...Closed until 5 October 2022 (per signage in the padlock & chain).
M. G. (Gi Gi): Poop scooped by owners.
Sandra Price: My doggies and I love this place. We are small dogs, but we hang in the BIG DOG side because there's a great, shady, tree-lined path, a quarter of a mile around the park. If my old furry friends can make it twice around, we know we're in good shape.
Janell Knotts: Great dog park! A little muddy after it rains, but other than that, very pleasant!
ROY BELLIDO: Leah Mary lo disfruta muchísimo
Brady Gillenwater: When we go outside to play ball we play at Swope dog park! Love the hills and trees.
jeana Ulshafer: Awesome place. But would love to see the grass mowed and bring back the porta potty. Thanks

Waggin' Trail Dog Park: what do users think?
Juan S: A great dog park
Jade Benavides: A nice place to bring you're dog to play and make new friends.
Ubrneyedgurl67: My favorite doggie park is always clean. My baby loves it. ❤️
Kierstyn: The best park for small dogs in the KC area. Full of a ton of regulars and great dogs. Come here often and have run into very few issues. I’ve never been afraid for my small dog’s safety with other the dogs. Also extremely accessible for anyone with a disability. Flat surface and a paved path around the park.
Margaret Smith: I enjoy taking my pup there. A lot of dog owners pet's are not spayed or neutered. Those dogs are aggressive towards other female dogs. It would be nice to have more seating and restrooms available for pet owners on site.
Ariel Stiletto: My dog loves this place, there is plenty of room to run, the dogs are friendly, and most of the owners are responsible. There are two sides of the park here, one for smaller dogs, and one for larger dogs. There os easy access to water for your pup so worry not! I would like to see more areas of shade for human comfort in the future, but it wont keep me from returning.
john bauer: Decent park. Clean. Needs more shaded area for humans.
Tracye Bolton: After picking up my middle pup from his grooming appointment. I took the entire brood for some downtime to sniff the butts. It was fun and lots of puppy parents were also visiting.
Mark O'Dell: Great dog park located in North Kansas City, Missouri. The park has two sides. One for big dogs and one for a little dogs.
Ben: Mid sized dog park. Split into 2 weights, one side for 30lbs and over, and the other side is 30lbs and under. Everyone was very nice and my dog had a great time
Doug Berg: Nice little dog park. Well maintained.
Brandice Schweer: Very nice dog park. We went on the day of an event, so it was pretty crowded. But everyone was nice and friendly on the small dog side.
Aubrey Anderson: I've been bringing my dogs here for 2 years now. They absolutely love it! The wide open spaces give them plenty of room to run off their energy. The dog park has 2 sections : large & small dogs. Regardless of the side you go in, you'll find the following amenities:~waste receptacles with baggies~paved pathway for humans (and doggos) to walk on~one shaded bench area~agility/trick equipment~water fountain for dogs & humans with bowls~benches around the trackThe large dog side is much bigger than the small dog side, which makes sense for obvious reasons. Please be sure your dog is vaccinated before bringing them to the park ‐ it is in the rules. The NKC Parks & Rec does a phenomenal job keeping the area clean, safe, and ensuring our doggos are secure. I have LOVED the various events that they put on as fundraisers.
Nikki Inocente: This is a great park for the downtown dogs, with a nice paved path for humans in both small and large dog areas. The park stays pretty clean and well-stocked with poop bags. My only complaint is a there are people who disregard the posted rules, smoking in the park, bringing food and treats in with them, and letting their small children play all over the ramps and tubes meant for dog training. Be sure you have good recall and training with your dog, as their are a handful of dog owners I see frequently that have aggressive dogs, try to give your dog treats, and one lady that likes to start fights and yell across the dog park for seemingly no real reason. Park is great, but we need to be better owners.
Max Taylor: Great dog park that’s super open and has plenty of room for your dog to run
C H: Very popular spot, very large, lots of nearby trails and beautiful views of the fields and rivers. I love it!Restrooms: By the far end of the parking lot small dog park there is a porta potta style toilet (hole under the toilet either liquid) but In a brick building. Clean enough and had toilet paper.Dog-friendliness: 100% dog friendly but dogs need to be leashed when not in the gated dog park areas
Slvrsrfr: Spacious park and trails for the doggos . Liked the separate area for bigger dogs. Plenty of parking, and if that's not enough walking for you, try Macken Park, just a few blocks away.
K Tran: Good little dog park. Has a trail to walk around while your dog explores and plays.🌱 Could use a hose to rinse our dogs.
Doug Ewart: Great place to let the dogs run!
Jaimie Michalke: BEWARE OF A LADY AND MAN THAT HAVE TWO DOGS THE BLACK ONE THAT HAS A MUZZLE ON! THANK GOD I LEFT MY DOG ON A LEASH BUT I WENT THE OPPOSITE WAY OF OTHER DOGS AND HER DOG CAME OVER TO US AND WAS VERY AGGRESSIVE BITING MY DOG! SHE DIDNT EVEN SAY SHE WAS SORRY AND OBVIOUSLY COULDNT CONTAIN HER DOG! BTW PUT THE DOG MUZZLE ON BETTER!
Levita Level: Great atmosphere, my puppy is always happy :^)

River Market Dog Park: what do users think?
Kris Hertzog: Open area near highway couple benches and trees. Nice view of Kansas City.
Cici: The dog park has a slope, holes in the ground, patches of grass. It is somewhat muddy. Not much fecal matter left behind. Plenty of space for dogs to run around. Some dog bags and two trash bins inside the park. There is no separate area for small dogs.
Doug Ewart: Good park, but little grass remains so it was a bit muddy.
nisa owen: Had fun chasing my dog through the park. Only issue that the park needs to fix is probably fill in all of the giant holes with more dirt because it can cause a person to twist their ankle or a dog can get hurt if running too fast and falls into the hole also... but other than all the holes, we had a really great time 😀! Would be pretty cool if the park had some agility equipment tho 🤔....The park is very large and lots of space to run and play! 2 entrances on opposite sides of the park and a large gate that Is locked 🔒 but easily push able and a small dog could most likely escape... so just be alert. The chain needs to be tightened more so the gate won't push open so much. Just keep watch and it shouldn't be a problem. Also we went at midnight because our dog is not friendly with other dogs but he needed to exercise so I waited till nobody was at the park to go. So if u have the same issue, I'd suggest waiting to go till midnight or later because most likely it will be empty.Glad it's open 24 hours 😀. There are multiple benches in the park for you to sit as well.
Tracy Schiller: Nice big grassy area for dogs to run and play, Including some hills. There are several shady areas and benches for the owners. All the dogs we met were friendly and playful, and most of the owners were paying attention and picking up after their dogs. The one negative is that there is no water available.
Chikara Hibino: Such a large space for doggos to run around. They always keep the grass cut and the poop bags stocked.Dog-friendliness: It's a designated dog park.
Ashley VanPetten: Close by and had good crowd.
Santa Claus: It’s ok
J.Robert Gately: Thus park has been closed for a long time. Other dog parks closed and referred this one and it has bee closed too. What's up with that???
Phil Hart: Great Location. Can get very busy during peak times.
William Luckeroth: I just attempted to go to the River Market No-leash Dog Park. Online, it says it's open, nut it was chained and padlocks with no explanatory sign posted. Another owner with her dog arrived too, but was equally disappointed. Usually, we go to the No-leash Community Development Dog Park at Walnut and 7th St. It's closed for two weeks for seeding, etc. There's a sign posted advising visitors to go to the No-leash Dog Park in the River Market, etc. Both of these No-leash Dog Parks are the same distance, so I was delighted. Delight changed to disappointment when my dog and zi arrived and the River Market District No-leash Dog Park was closed. What a bummer!
Anthony Gosserand: Great place
Natalie Mackey: It was a nice large space. The problem is, people do not respect the rules that go with that. There is poop all over, that people have left behind. They just sit in their own world and pay no attention to their dogs. Definitely not my cup of tea, due to poor animals having bad owners.
jasmine mcpheeters: Our normal dog park was closed today. Our pup enjoyed himself! There was a lot of broken glass in one area. Which was disappointing. There are no water fountains here. Which is fine, but the place we intended to visit does. So we didnt get to stay as long as we normally like. Definitely not going to make this our new normal but it's nice for a local back up. I'm sure we will be back
Jen Grimes: Nice size. Fully fenced. Calm dogs and attentive owners. No water source.
Watermelon Soup (Lio): theres broken glass all over the floor?
X avier: It could use more trees. Maybe some bushes. Make it do dogs can run around them like cones. It'll be playful for them. Provide shade on hot days and we need more OXYGEN!
Katie Haas: Great place to be able to take your dog to get some exercise and play with other dogs.
Jamie Locker (Spidey): Love living down here and around this area. Best part of KC
B Thomas: Excellent use of interstate highway embankment land. Needs a city water line and faucet.
Rodolfo Gutierrez: Muy buen lugar para que las mascotas se diviertan
