T Wash: I have not been to the plaza in years due to the service provided to blacks in that area is usually less than acceptable. Yesterday, I celebrated a birthday with at this location. The bartender is the only welcoming person in the resturant. He was very helpful. As for the service, it has been at least 3 years since I have eaten at this location. My partners salmon was over-cooked. She was so confused about the stand-offish service that she was willing to pay full price for meat that clearly wasnt edible. I said no and her meal was changed without an issue. The meat we decided to order was so burnt and dry, but instead of any of the staff worrying about that, we kept getting asked if we were ready for the check after our first round of meat. I then pulled a manager aside like is there a time limit for dining? He then said no there is no problem you can stay for an hour maybe two. I then knew it was time to go. The white family sitting seconds away from us had been there before we arrived, and where still seated after we paid. As we were gathering our things a waiter from another table comes by, opens our debit card folder, to check and see if we left our check paid. Why are we being clocked? It was super uncomfortable. What makes your business believe that all black people are poor or steal? This was the most racist experience I have had in over 10 years. Seriously, if your company doesnt want black or lgbt money, I would rather a sign just be displayed. Ruined the birthday vibe for sure! Do better!

Emari Clark: Redoing my review as the latest visit was much better. Food was great, ordered the Wagyu Ribeye. It was cooked to perfection. Service was decent, it was busy so we sat at the table for awhile before addressed. If you dont like being around alot of people, do not visit during peak times. Ava Adams: we went for father’s day with three people. we only had a salt shaker on the table the entire meal. the meat service started out great but dwindled shortly. every time i went up to the salad bar for bread they were seamingly out. the meat carvers spoke so fast we had to ask for them to repeat themselves every time. the meat was ok, but barley seasoned. the atmosphere was loud with dishes clanging all around and fairly loud music on top of talking and clear sounds from the kitchen that you could hear from across the dining room. we ordered one crème brûlée and waited for over 15 minutes and watched the staff take a picture in the dinning room. i strongly suggest going to emchamas instead.

The amount of time and energy she gives out to her job and her interactions with customers is something that people should look out for.She gives out such an amazing vibe that made me feel better about myself. Andrea Vaden: My daughter chose to go here for her 18th birthday- they made it so special! She got a sparkler candle, a special plate with the year on it and one to break! The food was to die for and the service was amazing. This was the second time we have been there and I’ve never been disappointed. Everything was fresh and delicious!! Bradley Weir (BWeir): A great little Greek place. Their food is authentic and very good. It's very traditional looking inside. Dimly lit and comfortable. If you've never seen the owners, you will by looking at any of the 5000 pictures on the wall. The host was great. Attentive, yet gave us space. The lamb wasn't as tender, but we also showed up as soon as the doors opened, so I wouldn't expect that to be the norm. The serving sizes were great and the kids' choice was still authentic! Thank You for that! Overall good experience and will definitely come by again.
Denise Kieffer: Tasso’s is not only great food, it’s a total experience! A must go to on a Friday or Saturday when they have the belly dancer and musician who perform. Breaking plates and enjoying good food. I’ve been going for over 20 years and it’s always a treat.

Tristan Richardson: Another member of the party of 7 mentioned in the other review but the food seemed like it was the basic bought in bulk and reheated nothing seemed fresh also there was a severe lack of seasoning. As for the seating you're packed in like sardines and can't even talk over the subpar "musician" who pretended to play the songs and constantly try to get the crowd to hype everything up. Server came like twice one being to order and two to bring food. We asked for the check and it took forever like 10 minutes just to get it. Price was way too high for reheated frozen food. Also lots of kids just running around not for us.
Kazdan Booker: this place is far past its prime if it ever had one. we came in with a group of 7 and not a single person enjoyed their obviously prepped and just heated meal, I'd be willing to bet there's more microwave use in this kitchen than your own. It is egregious to charge up to $20 or more for something more resembing a church casserole potluck than greek food. the tables are so cramped together you can't help but bump into the people behind you or hear everything they say. the "musician" if you're willing to bend the definition barely knew the songs he was playing, when he was actually playing and not just mimicking. he barely knew even the words to sweet Caroline. he did promise eventually a bellydancer, but we never saw one and then brought a guy on for karaoke.this is no longer a Greek restaurant, it is a gimmick tourist trap, with too cramped spacing and hardly even serviceable food that will leave you hungry unless you're just willing to actually finish your meal.You will feel like you're being held hostage to feed the ego of those actively involved in this business until the moment they give you the check.

Ayman Nimer: Edit: The owner responded with "food prices have gone up tremendously". What food has gone up tremendously? The ground beef is still $5 a pound. Eggs went up a dollar. Milk is still around $3.50 a gallon. So I would like to know what food prices went up tremendously because I keep seeing restaurant owners say this. The only food price that has gone up tremendously is YOUR FOOD! You are not raising prices to cover costs on your end you are raising prices to make more profit. Food prices have not gone up tremendously that is a lie and I'm tired of hearing it!!! Restaurants are making record profits but you guys want to play the victim lol funnyFood is extremely overpriced and taste average. They want to charge $20 and up for entrees but the portion sizes are small and the food just tasted all right. All together I spent $50 just on myself. I think it's disgusting that they're charging so much money for for an average size plate. Restaurants like this are the reason that other restaurants are raising their prices. I'm in NE Johnson County, and it arrived within a half hour of ordering.I started with the edamame dumplings. The broth was yummy, and the dumplings were so tasty! I also picked out the spaghetti squash casserole as I love spaghetti squash with tomato sauce. It was very cheesy, and the sauce was delicious!I finished things off with the pink lime tart. I wonder if the crust would have been a bit more crisp had I been in the restaurant itself rather than eating at home, but it was still really good. I could only eat half of it after all that other food, and would say it's a perfect sharing size for 2 people as a meal finisher.Will definitely order from here again in the future!

Victoria Holloman: This is still my favorite restaurant but unfortunately today I went in there and the customer service was not as good as it usually is. I'm standing at the counter and the girl in the red shirt and too much makeup is talking to her coworker in the gray shirt and ignoring me for about 5 minutes it was completely unprofessional. They also didn't come back and check on me after they gave me my meal to see if I need anything. The lobby was empty so there was no excuse for this either. I had to go up to them and ask for a box never had this experience before hope I don't have it again hopefully management sees this and corrects it. I'm also a black woman and you better believe that I feel like that has something to do with it as well fix it it's not okay.

Tom Mardikes: When Taco Republic opened it was great food and service. A fun, high energy place. Been downhill ever since. Was last there in June and very disappointed. Gave it another shot tonight and it was even worse. Bartender didn’t have the ‘right tequila’ and our drinks came after our meals were served. Two of the same Top margaritas couldn’t have been more different. Mine was all syrup. My wife’s was all ice. Couldn’t taste any tequila (guess he really didn’t have any!) The food was blah. And the server was only thinking about getting out of there. The place needs some leadership

Gina Baker: Taco Republic catered our Rehearsal Dinner, and it ended up being a hit! Our guests loved the food - so many people asked afterward, “who did the food last night?” It was delicious and the workers were friendly and helpful. The only downside was that they ran out of paper plates and then could no longer continue serving our guests seconds. This wasn’t a huge deal; however, I think with serving tacos as well as chips and guac/queso/salsa, it would probably work better to expect that each person might want to use 2 plates. We ended up having a bunch of leftovers to bring home that night, and I think we would’ve had less if people wouldn’t have had to stop eating because we ran out of plates. I will say, this was all part of the package we paid for, but I might consider adjusting the details of this package as it relates to the disposable dinnerware. This did not damper our event at all, but is something to consider when using Taco Republic for catering.

cristina osorio: Went here yesterday, 06/11/23, with a reservation. They refused to seat us because one person in our party was next door getting coffee beans. They proceeded to seat 3 walk in groups ahead of us even after our missing member returned.Once seated, we were ignored for 37 minutes. The entire place was packed, with no sound absorbing efforts, so it was groups of people at every table just yelling the entire time. I stopped a different waitress to put our order in because we were about to walk out and find someplace else to eat. She said she couldn't take our order because the kitchen was too busy. There should never be more chairs in the facility than the capacity of the kitchen so that problem should never even happen!It took 32 mins after our order was placed before the food came out. We spent 75 mins in total in there at the table with no food. The food came out over cooked and bland. The potato bowl is literally onions and potatoes. Nothing else. The salmon Benedict came out with completely rock hard eggs and raw cold bread. The salmon was random small flakes and mostly skin. There were issues with every dish and my party left roughly half their food on their plates. The waitress never asked how the food was and just dropped the bill on while walking by.Never go here.

Hannah Uthe: Went here for a meal after family photos on a Saturday evening. I had never been here before and it looked like the perfect spot with many different options to take my family. The best part about out experience here was the appetizers. The cheese curds and catfish bites were good. Our server was nice but did not check on us enough. We had to ask another staff member for more water and this place only has maybe 20 tables. Every entree we received had little to no flavor. The potatoes are not seasoned, the nettle pasta has more chunks of onion than pasta in the dish, and their burger buns are somehow soggy and crumbly at the same time. It definitely was not worth the money. With all the other great restaurants on the westside, I will not be back here.
